Welcome stop on a cycle ride. We sat outside on a lovely sunny day. Apart from the telecoms engineers digging up the street next to the seats it was very pleasant in the sun. Coffee was lovely. Nice range of sandwiches, not the usual boring cheese & tuna etc, served hot, something a bit different.

I visited with my wife who has Coeliac Disease. We have been here on a number of previous occasions when there was gluten free cake and biscuits available. The coffee is lovely, however when we visited at 15:00 on a Tuesday, there was a very limited choice of cake and no gluten free options at all. Staff seemed indifferent and started turning off the lights and clearing up at 15:40 despite the advertised closing time of 16:00.

Took a friend here today for her birthday, had coffees, it wasnt very hot, orderded the sausage with caramalised onion and cheese cibatta, drank our coffee, still no food, waited over half a hour for our sandwich, when it eventually came, i presume it was the manager, he said smile and took a photo of the sandwich, i made a comment that we had waited half a hour and he went and spoke to the member of staff who served us, he came over and said the kitchen is only small, that is no excuse, they had forgot about what we had ordered, because when i said what we were waiting for it was only warmed up then, i have put comments on here before, and they have always been good, but unfortunately today was a different matter, We even had to get a drink of water to drink with our sandwich, has we had finished our coffee in five minutes, We like this cafe and live about 10 miles away from it, wernt even offered another drink. POOR SERVICE on this occassion, they started talking in italian when i complainted, very unprofessional.

The “gentleman” I can only presume is the Manager is awful. Speaking to 2 of the young ladies like dirt. I left before I said something to him myself. Would he act the same had the staff been men!

We came in for cappuccino a number of times as well as a cake. The coffee is super quality, cappuccino made how it ought to be with delicious foam that lasts and cocoa powder dusted on the espresso. Best coffee for miles around!

I have been to many cafes in the area, but this is the most friendliest and welcoming one, we visited for my friends special birthday, the coffee is superb, and the food is tasty and delicious, never wait more than a few minutes. This is only our second visit but we will be back, we took scones and cakes home to eat later. EXCELLENT SERVICE.

My friend and I visited this italian cafe today and it was the best coffee I have ever tasted. The food was delicious and we treated ourselves to Luxury Tiramasu, and Strawberry cheescake with cream. The staff were very friendly and we only waited a few minutes for the food, will definitely be returning soon.

Small but beautiful! Great little cafe and very handy for the Lanchester-valley-railway-path-walking-and-cycling-route. Not only serve good coffee but authentic Italian cakes to die for! Try their Torte Del Noona....a lemon torte that melts in your mouth, so light it just melts in your mouth. Well worth popping up c 100 yards from the footpath which is a lovely walk both north and south.

We came across this place when at a festival nearby and were so glad we did. It’s a lovely wee cafe with a nice outside area. The ciabatta and croque monsieur were delicious, the cakes were just gorgeous and the coffees were just what we needed. But the staff were what made it special, they guys were just lovely and so efficient. If I’m ever nearby again I’ll definitely be back.

I visit here at least once a week (most often three but don't tell my husband!) The coffee is always lovely and I love the option of oat milk too. The food is great and I really like the addition or the outside area which was brought in to keep people safe during Covid and allow us to enjoy the coffee outside too. The menu is varied and also offers great options for my children including milkshakes, smoothies and of course wonderful Italian cakes and biscuits. I am super lucky that this is around 10 minutes from my house but I would visit even if it was much further and I'd urge you to do the same- or you'd be missing it. The friendly service and happy atmosphere (and wonderful coffee!) are its biggest selling point and that's why it appeals to families, couples and I'm more than happy to sit on my own, without the kids and have a coffee in peace! Thanks for giving us somewhere wonderful to visit! A few pictures of my favourite- egg, avocado and bacon combination which I have without the toast. And Mum and daughter also loving their options!

So lovely to have a decent cafe in my village. The breakfasts are great - particularly the avocado and poach eggs. They do fantastic cannoli in 3 different flavours. Great toasties and a selection of coffees including specials such as gingerbread lattes. You can sit in or outside or takeaway. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend this place.

After a lovely walk on nearby disused railway line popped in for coffee & cake. Although small this place transports you to Italy with its delicious treats and excellent coffee. Good place to stop off.

Love this place and have been multiple times. I reserved a table for 2 people on this visit and went with my baby also. When we arrived we were seated at a table for 2 and had our order taken. Shortly after getting our food the staff saw I was struggling to feed the baby in the space we were in and we were offered a bigger table in a quieter spot which was hugely appreciated. They moved all the food and drinks for us while I got settled. So attentive! The staff are always super friendly, food is amazing and the mochas are the best around. Will be back again soon. Thankyou!

50s Tea room was stepping a bit back in time. The staff had great customer service, attentive & smiles. The dress & ration books used for the menus has a nice personal touch, with the decor. I had todays special of feta and red pepper quiche with sweet potato fries & hubby had smoked salmon & cream cheese sandwich with chunky chips. 2 diet cokes came to £27.30 A reasonable price. In Market square, Bishop Auckland.
