Could not be better. Staff are friendly and inviting. Food is good and well presented with decent side salad thrown in. We tend to share our meal which is fully catered for.

No Photos I tried to take photos of the food display but stopped by the staff immediately. He said no photos is allowed firmly. I reckon the cafe got a lot of people secretly taking photos of the staff and customers. Got a lot of harassment on the internet? Why not put a 'NO PHOTOS' notice at the cafe then? Then everyone cannot take photos of the food display. Sorry I cannot provide any photos. Sorry I failed to give a more detailed and objective comment to this cafe. The coffee is just okay, not especially cheap either. Not as good as Signorelli's and Giovanni at all.

Very nice coffee place and friendly 😊

Popped over for waffles and Italian breakfast. They were short of staff so didn't offer any waffles. There are too cakes, croissants and Italian sweets treat + good coffee. We will be back, so fingers crossed they'll make some waffles for us next time

Couldn't manage to heat up a take away panini within 10 minutes of ordering so I had to leave.

‘Milano Cafe Pattiseria’ is located on St Andrew’s Street in Cambridge City Centre, close to HSBC Bank and John Lewis Department store. TBH we really enjoyed our lunch today. We ordered the carbonara, the Gusto Salad 1 and drinks. We didn’t have to wait long for our meals. The food and service were excellent. I had the carbonara - a rich, creamy and hearty plateful of pasta, sauce, bacon served with a crunchy, green salad. Delicious! It was excellent value for money £40 for two people.

AUTHENTIC ITALIAN food and coffee! I liked this place so much I went 3 times, (breakfast , lunch and dinner)over a 2 day period and bought food for my flight home back to the States! Lovely music piped in, personal customer service, variety of choices( I recommend the Lasagna and any of the breakfasts), pleasing presentation! I can go on and on…..

Over the years we have usually had lunch at Cafe Milano when visiting Cambridge (we live 15 miles away) and were always happy. However, this last visit was not like it used to be. No longer a waitress service and had to order at the bar and then find a table. We ordered a panini each, but what turned up was flattened french bread with a small filling and the bread was burnt at the edges. Not at all as the photograph shown on the left! The white wine we ordered was very bitter & not the cheapest place to eat either. So will no longer visit, there are plenty of other cafes around Cambridge. So the business has now lost regular customers

I started using this Cafe on my breaks, now i use milano's daily due to the friendly welcoming staff, excellant fresh food and as far as i, and most of my colleagues are concerned, arguably bye far the best coffee in town. Leigh the bus.

Surprisingly tasty pasta, iced latte was good, nothing to write home about. Croissant was nice. Might be a regular spot for me soon.

Beware if you like cake!. Fabulous food, fabulous choice. Great meeting place, although it has changed its name now.

The food is fresh, and what a choice there is, from fresh pasta dishes and pizza, to a wide selection of cakes and bakes. Good value for money too.

Found this amazing place with authentic italian food and lovely desserts, my family and I enjoyed the food.

Been here a few times over the last few years and never disappointed. Food is great and the staff are friendly and welcoming. I recommend the cannoli's - make sure you try one of every flavour!

Came across this cafe when looking for somewhere to rest our legs and have some lunch. The place looked a little dated, but there were plenty of seats available unlike other cafes we’d seen where the queues were out the door. Ordered a white coffee, a pot of tea with soya milk, a salad and a sandwich. When ordering I asked if they had gluten free bread as I’m wheat intolerant. Alas they did not, so I ordered a salad and asked them to not put any croutons on (explaining I could not eat bread as I don’t think the gentleman serving could understand why I would not want the croutons, even though I’d just enquired about gluten free options). Luckily when the confused looking waitress brought over a tray of drinks (she didn’t have a clue which table had placed the order) I asked if the tray had a coffee and tea with soya milk. It turned out I had been given regular milk instead (not good for a lactose intolerant person). Without hesitation she changed it. Then when our food arrived my salad had a large breadstick on top - not very gluten free. Fortunately I’m not allergic, so my husband ate it. The food was very tasty, although quite pricey for what we received - £27.75. If you do go to this establishment be aware that the regular coffees are quite small and make sure you check what arrives on your table if you have allergies/intolerances. The toilets really need a refurb as they have broken tiles on the walls and floors. Take your coat in winter as they are cold too.

It’s not a traditional Italian coffee shop. The sweets are not good at all. We left all on the table. Sad experience! I do not recommend this place.

Lovely coffee and cakes in relaxed atmosphere. We only had coffee and cake but the rest of the food looked very tempting.

Very happy with my having had breakfast here today. The omelette, though a little expensive, is actually very filling and comes with three extra toppings and a side salad which was very fresh and of good quality. The service was very pleasant and friendly. Even though Milan is an expensive city, the prices are still more reasonable than here, which comes as a bit of a shock to Italians, but being in the heart of Cambridge you have to expect it. If it was cheaper I would dine here more often. Aside from that, all else was excellent.

Beware of the cakes/pastries! Bought a mille feuille to go, got home and found it was riddled with mould and the cream completely curdled. God knows how long they are leaving their cakes out for but would not recommend unless you want food poisoning...

Very good food with a fantastic range of sweet and savoury snacks and full meals. Clean and reasonably quick service.

Staff friendly and efficient with very quick service and a nice place to grab a coffee and cake, however I couldn't recommend the paninis which at £8.95 each were extremely bland and overcooked, turning the contents chewy on dry bread. Drinks and pastries on the pricey side too.

A taste of Italy at reasonable prices for Cambridge. The take away coffee and pastry was of an excellent standard the dine in experience was also first class with all food ordered freshly prepared.

Unfortunately, it was not the best experience. The food wasn't great. The coffee vaguely tasted of coffee, but the staff were friendly, it wasn't cheap either I didn't pay I was dining with the in-laws but I could tell by the look on my mother in-laws face it wasn't cheap at all

Spotted this on the way to appointment at Metro Bank and popped in for late breakfast. Nicely busy, nice atmosphere. Lovely breakfast and coffee. A fellow, who I can imagine being the proprietor, was very friendly. Twice food and drink that wasn't ours came to our table but our food and drink turned up swiftly.

First time we've visited this place but it definitely won't be the last! Food was exceptional the lasagna and ravioli was best we've had in the whole of great Britain very tasty, lovely homemade food, just what was needed. Cakes are just different class and flavours are just beautiful. Can't recommend this place enough. Very clean and attractive place to dine in, Service was nice, friendly and attentive. Lots more room inside then first appeared. Went on xmas eve 2022 and will now make it a more regular place to eat and stop for coffee.

Good for a quick coffee - which is very good. The cakes are ok too.

Came in for a single espresso and a bottle of water and I was shocked by the price (£5.50). I had a double take and actually had to check how much the bottle of water was: £2.55?! Not very friendly service and horrendously overpriced. Wouldn’t bother going back.

Tried this place out for the first time today with my husband, I'm vegetarian and he eats anything. I ordered a halloumi baguette and he ordered the brie and bacon baguette. The guy who served at the till seemed a bit preoccupied and didn't really seem to want to interact with us at all, we felt like a bit of an inconvenience. We also ordered a mocha, an Americano, a couple of cannoli and a red velvet cake to share. The drinks were fine, the cannoli could've been fresher, and the red velvet cake was a basic sponge layered with thick cheap cream hidden under the red coating. Not at all how a red velvet should be and didn't taste at all like a red velvet cake to us one bit. Our baguettes were oddly served by the chef himself, not by one of the waiting staff. My husband's seemed okay, nothing special, one bit of bacon and a slab of brie in one of those pre-baked baguettes you can buy at Tesco. Mine came with sausage in it, so I sent it back and said I just wanted halloumi. Chef seemed disgruntled, but took it away. It came back after quite the wait (my husband had slowly eaten all of his by the time the chef returned), with my halloumi baguette, with RAW halloumi in it. No idea what took so long if he didn't even bother to cook it. I know you can eat halloumi raw but really, who does?? So I took my plate back up to the till again and asked the waitress, "shouldn't this be cooked?" She looked like she didn't understand me, and then the man at the till took it and told the chef to COOK the halloumi. Third time lucky the "chef" brought it over to the table and I was finally able to eat it, however there was nothing else, not even butter, in that baguette. £36 paid, £8 for the extremely basic halloumi "panini". Somewhat dismissive staff, very over priced, poor quality food. Sadly won't be going back.

Dined here this morning as a treat for myself after missing breakfast. I was served by a lovely Irish lady, with whom I can find no fault, she was attentive during a busy time, when the other staff were perhaps more dismissive. I had a latte which was a reasonable size for the price, a delightful apricot pastry, and, what appears to be rare around the UK, a big Sicilian cannolo, with Nutella and none with ricotta unfortunately, but it was still enjoyable for the price of 4.50. Of course, this seems pricey but they really are difficult to find here it seems. Overall, pleasant and I would dine here again.

My family and I just visited this cafe,. What an unpleasent experience with the service, very unfriendly and would even say rude,. When we went to order the man who was there gave us a menu and when we said we were ordering coffees and hot chocolate only he just threw the menu away with an unhappy face. Not to mention the lady/waitress when we asked if we could sit on the table with sofa she just simply said: i have cleaned you another table, again with an unhappy face. I saw her just "cleaning" for a second the table she wanted to give us not even using spray or anything. We unfortunately didnt feel this place welcoming with us (tourists with children)and would definitely not be visiting again.

The guy who works behind the counter was extremely rude to the point he said we had to hurry up because he had other customers to serve. Needless to say, we left without ordering anything

It was a unpleasant surprise the price I paid for a latte and a pastry: £12,80. They don't show foods prices so I just knew what I owe on the till, and I was embarrassed to cancel the bill. Please be aware of this in case of going there. I felt so dumb for payed this value for such a simple meal.

Called in for a coffee and a breakfast. Good sevice and both the coffee and the breakfast were delicious.

Staff were very rude and acted like it was trouble for them to have to explain what the cakes were even though there were no signs with names of the products on. As we were sat down I watched the waitress turn to her colleague, roll her eyes and mutter something when a customer was asking about a product. It honestly feels like you’re a burden to them. Also extremely expensive for what it is. Not nice atmosphere or experience in this shop at all.

The prices are quite high but the food is of very good quality, the beverages are also good. However the waitress was very dismissive and actually quite rude to me and my family, I feel this place still deserves a 4 star rating due to the food and such being nice, just a little ruined by the rude waitress, such a shame.

Coffee -good, pastries -good ice cream_ good but expensive, £3.50 for one scoop and a cheap cone. Staff did not engage much.

Respect in this establishment is at its lowest we were expelled from this cafe because we did not consume enough according to them !!! The reception is poor and the service Catastrophic. if you want to find a coffee go your way

This Greek Caffe is perfect for me, good no nonsense service, clean and homely, good selection of food and cakes and excellent coffee.

Popped in with family for a sweet and a drink, really nice place, beautiful cannoli and display. The only downside the dark girl behind the counter, grumpy, rolling eyes, not a smile, impatient. Ruined the whole experience. This should have been 3 stars actually, 5 for products, 1 for service. Put behind the counter someone who knows how to serve customers.

The place is very nice and the food sooo good but the employers are very rude.

The place is huge and they usually have lots of food to choose from. The coffee is good and the people nice. My problem with this place is that I feel like in they stress me, because usually they have a lot of costumers and you can't think what exactly do you want when you buy something...

What delicious proper coffee. If you find some of the artisan coffees in other places a bit acidic and not really that enjoyable go here. I have always found Italian coffee is best personally. If they allowed me to sit in with my dog it would be perfect. Other cafes do, please could I do the same here? Please??

Cosy and lovely place. Great to grab a cup of coffee with sandwiches. The coffee actually taste way better than any other chain coffee shops and the homemade style pizza and sandwiches are fantastic. Staffs are usually friendly too but when it gets busy they forget to bring the drinks and foods. Would recommend to go in the late afternoon time as it’s not too busy. Croissant and desert cakes are good too.

Great coffee, best baklava in Cambridge

Just called in for a coffee and it was sublime. Proper cappuccino rather than the pseudo lattes you tend to get in UK these days . Also very reasonably priced for Cambridge. The food in the display cabinets looked very good
