Nice lunch yesterday - two tasty salads, garlic bread and two drinks (one with alcohol) followed by coffee. Lovely salads and ample portions - garlic bruschetta a bit soggy otherwise would have been 5 stars. Friendly and efficient service. Comfortable, clean, and a nice hum about the place. Bill came to about £69.

We have been coming to Cafe Lucca for years now, for coffee and delicious cakes, brunches and lunches. In our opinion they serve the best coffee and the cake selection is excellent. However, on this occasion we were disappointed, firstly a member of the team would only give us a table for 2 right next to the door serving the outside tables, so the door is in pretty much constant use even if no one is sat outside as people use it to come in and out of the cafe even though it’s not the main door. There were clearly several free tables, albeit for four some of which could easily have been moved a few inches to accommodate 2 people which is what has always happened in the past or the staff have been happy for us to sit at a table for. Thankfully a more experienced person realised the situation and offered to sit us at a nice round table for 4 and there were other couples sat at tables for 4. We ordered 2 Coconut Chicken salads which we have always enjoyed in the past but on this occasion we found it to be a disappointment, not nearly as tasty or flavoursome, with 4 very small and very thinly sliced pieces of chicken breast, very little dressing and minus the usual red drop peppers, basically it was a bowl of slaw with a minute bit of chicken on the top. Such a shame as it’s our go to cafe, we will return for brunch and for coffee and cake but perhaps not lunch which has definitely changed.

Spacious dog friendly cafe with friendly, efficient staff. Excellent food and cakes. My mother-in-law enjoyed the cherry and pistachio cake, the rest of us going savoury with the bruschetta and panini. It was honestly the best panini I’ve ever had. Lovely bread and very tasty mozzarella and tomato filling with a pot of pesto on the side, together with a some dressed salad leaves. My daughter said the same about her chicken pesto panini. Everything else we saw coming from the counter looked just as good. We will definitely be going back.

We stopped into bath for the day and stumbled upon this place during a walking tour. The food was fresh and delicious! Couldn’t be more happy, would definitely recommend!

Larger than it looks from outside. Quite noisy, but not enough to prevent conversation. The staff manage to be busy and relaxed at the same time, so while you have to ask to order, you also have to make an extra effort to pay. It was a bit chilly when I was there, due to an unusually cold summer's day, and a through-breeze between the two entrances, which were locked open. Not a serious problem though, as everyone there (staff and customers alike) were in denial of the chill, because it's still summer!! Our drinks arrived quickly after ordering, so the relaxed atmosphere does not extend to bad service! It's quiet well-run in that respect. It's in a nice location, the Coffee was good, there's a comprehensive dedicated menu card for drinks and snacks. The only issue we found was with a wobbly table, which we solved ourselves, by placing folded-up paper under the table legs. While doing so, we also found a shim provided for this purpose, although it wasn't enough by itself.

Food is amazing 5/5 and such a large bright place with lots of room for people dogs and babies. Food was amazing. Toilets are run down.

Fantastic and quick service despite it being the middle of lunch. Food was so fresh and a great choice of drinks. Yes slightly more on the expensive but worth it for the quality and lovely atmosphere. Would come again!

We were originally having coffe in he the centre of town at 12.30 om and I realised I couldn't walk much further in the heat. My bus into town hadn't come and I'd mislaid my stick and couldn't walk that far in the very hot weather. I saw Cafe Lucca just by the entrance next to Blue, and I was very glad to be out of the heat and and shown to a lovely cool, quiet corner. I was offered a carafe of iced water over wine, too hot weather for me and wine. Water best in my opinion so I waited happily for my friend who had invited me out. It was getting close to 1 pm when he still hadn't quite found it. Eventually after more calls he joined me at 1.45pm. He and I had capachinos and he ngot me a light lunch of garlic toasted bread and olives 🫒 😋 Perfect. Thank you Lucy, Libby and Meg for smoothing things so we had a good meet up Good air con too. Very good food and service in a nice environment, but the price was way too high, specially the drinks.

I had a nice smoked chicken salad here. Very tasty but not much of it and very pricey.

Called in for lunch on a visit to Bath having previously lived close by and remembered how good it was on our last visit some years ago. Wanted a lightish lunch and was amazed by the choices available, with an eye on the Bruschetta I was expecting something very simple on toast. Absolutely delighted with the 'Buffalo Mozzarella with Parma Ham Vine Tomatoes, Basil Pesto and Toasted Hazelnuts', a plate full of flavour perfection. Would willingly drive the 160 mile round trip from the Newbury area again to enjoy the same dish.

The only thing I enjoyed in bath was having myself a seat in this cafe.. It's cleanliness and arrangements made me calm Nd relaxed.. As a well demanding place, of course, it was busy and so we had to wait a bit to find out seats. But the staffs were really polite and had the real knowledge on their work hence ensuring us they're helping Nd sorting out a seat for us.. Never after had a delay in that busy peak time, a young lady took our order, she also explained the soups of the day. Starting with a glass of water, our lunch came to us, in fact, we could even see the chefs busy in their kitchen cooking, making it even more like a kind of live cooking.. The food was really delicious and well presented. We even took wine to make sure our lunch ended perfectly.. the staff also double checked we're alright Nd needs anything more . Really happy with their excellent service..

I have visited this establishment previously for a light lunch with an old friend and enjoyed it tremendously. So on our return with my Partner for a Birthday weekend , we arrived for Breakfast. The building itself is large ,interesting and airy . Friendly young, polite staff with a lovely relaxed Sunday morning feel, the other Customers appeared happy and content. I had the Avocado and Salad with extra Bacon , really tasty , fresh and nicely presented. My Partner had the boiled eggs with Toast and Marmalade, a generous serving and again well presented. The Toilets were spotless and well maintained. Definitely a tranquil location to relax and unwind Thank you

My wife and I were in Bath for the day and happened upon this place while walking the beautiful city. What a nice surprise! Delicious food (good vegetarian options), and great service. The atmosphere and vibe were exactly what we wanted in that moment and we were so happy to visit!

Bright and bustling cafe in a gorgeous setting with high ceilings and panoramic glass windows. The food is fresh and delicious and the service is great. We love coming here for coffee and lunch, would recommend.

Really liked this cafe in Bath. Staff were quick and attentative.

Gorgeous setting, I had the chicken Caesar special, one of the best i have ever had, coffee / beer were sublime, waitresses were nothing but helpful and even got to speak to the kitchen team and they were lovely, highly recommend.

Family of 5. We had a lovely lunch here and they were able to cater to all our needs. Somewhat limited menu but everything was fresh and tasty!!!! Hidden Gem!

Went here after we had visited the assembly rooms in Bath, lovely lunch, coleslaw was the best I've ever eaten , staff very friendly and efficient, surrounding area was lovely and felt like it was a real treat eating here , food very tasty 😋

Coffee was not up to the mark. Ordered the Boiled eggs. Came out hard boiled. Second batch a bit better. Would be lovely if they came already sliced round to avoid burning my hands in the shell removal. Lovely sitting outside and appreciate to “no smoking” signs. Our server was very pleasant.

Went for brunch with wife and child, food and drink was high quality. Service was prompt and occasionally attentive. Sat outside in glorious sunshine, prime brunch spot in Bath.

For a light or lingering breakfast, "Cafe Lucca" with the best almond croissants anywhere in the south-west coupled with a steaming cappuccino is an absolute delight .......... and always served by the most delightful and attentive staff. Get to Bartlett Street and seek it out, it's not to be missed with it's newly extended light and inviting surroundings ....... a real treat!!

Very popular places, but we all know why. Great breakfasts like their iconic boiled eggs and sourdough, lunches and of course great cakes selection including delicious proper baked cheesecake. Sometimes you have to wait for a table but it's worth it.

I visited here for the first time today with my mum for lunch whilst out shopping in Bath. Straight away we were greeted by a friendly waitress. We sat down and were given the menu. It was a perfect lunch menu and we practically liked everything on it!! We both decided on the special which was salmon quiche, salad and new potato salad. It was lovely. The salad had a kind of small pepper on which we had never had before. I asked the waitress what they were called and she went to check in the kitchen. She then returned with a pot with of the little peppers complimentary from the chef. Such a lovely thing to do. We will definitely visit again. Delicious food, pretty surroundings and every member of staff we spoke to was lovely and friendly. 100% recommend.

What a gem. Visited after a recommendation and wasn't disappointed. A fairly upmarket café menu but kitchen happy to adjust to suit younger palates. It's a bright and airy room bustling with atmosphere, and a decent range of sandwiches and salads. Great coffee and cake. Alex who served us was great, very happy to recommend food and places to visit too.

We each got a serving of salads - they were delicious! Staff also looked after us well. A really good experience and nice, cosy lunch spot while in bath. There’s a nice around-the-house section adjacent to the cafe that you can explore.

Nice place for a morning coffee or light lunch

A wonderful find, such a pleasant cafe with excellent service despite being super busy. Some great menu choices, freshly made and super puds and cakes. Perfect for friends, couples, families of all ages. Very central but a little off the beaten track. Popular with local people and visitors alike.

Best carrot cake I’ve ever tasted! Service a little slow. Others had their order taken before me but the cake made up for that. Lovely buzzy atmosphere.

The cafe looks very cosy. The customer service was excellent. I enjoyed my breakfast however would have preferred to have more egg options. The desserts also looked lovely.

Went here for breakfast before going round the Christmas markets. Beautiful cafe, really friendly staff and very dog friendly! We had a bowl of bacon for the dogs and even a dog bowl with water at the table! Couldn't recommend enough, 100% be my go to place when visiting Bath!

Excellent service. They had a setback with our command and they resolved it later in a very generous way by inviting us to lunch. All the staff were very friendly and the dishes were very delicious and well presented.

Stopped into this place by accident to get out of the cold and it was a very happy accident! The goat cheese panini is honestly one of the tastiest I’ve ever had and the have a great tea selection

First visit, not familiar with Bath, and the batista was great!! Welcoming, funny and patient. We were served quickly, without fuss, and the coffee was the best I've tasted for a long while. Plenty of space, in large premises......thanks everyone.

Busy cafe at lunchtime. Waited in queue for 15 mins for table good selection of cakes. Toasted patinas were lovely. Coffee nice and hot!

Large open restaurant, friendly staff, tasty food and dog friendly

We regularly visit Cafe Lucca. This Sunday they went above and beyond. I tripped in the cobbled street. The staff were so kind and caring. Gave me ice for my eye and kept checking I was OK during our meal which was delicious. The tomato and mozzarella bruschetta was huge.

Went here today for the first time. What a delightful place and lovely cup of coffee. I understand restaurants need to allow dogs, although I would prefer they didn't, but dogs sitting on owners laps and leaning over the table is not acceptable. The restaurant assured us they cleaned the tables between each customer but when we witnessed this, no disinfectant was used and it was half hearted. I won't be returning which is a shame but I put hygiene first.

Kitchen closed and only a few cakes left. But the tea is nice and it has a nice atmosphere

Good location. Quite spacious and amount of tables with large glass windows to the frontage. Reasonable quality hot drinks. Quite echoey noisy if busy.

Stopped off for a couple of cold drinks (no food) on a hot day whilst visiting Bath. Service immaculate and although we sat outside we went through the cafe to get seated and it looked very nice indeed. Atmosphere very jolly.

Absolutely beautiful place. Great food, food brought out really quickly.Staff were lovely and friendly and all staff were happy in their work and no one looked stressed. Definately will be going back!

Everything is yummy! They don't do chips here no fryer but everything is good. Lots of tables so even if a queue it usually moves quickly.

I love this cafe, one of my favourites and the coconut chicken salad is to die for.

What a lovely lunch spot on route to or for the Royal Crescent and Circus!

Coconut chicken salad was very yummy and salad was more like a coleslaw with lots of dressing and crunchy. Roast beef and cheese toasted panini was very good too but horseradish cream wasn’t very zingy. Couldn’t get coffee with liquid cream on the side but the latte was hot and excellent. We had the best waitress as she was friendly and chatty, vivacious so we didn’t feel rushed. Smiled and not all the other staff did. High ceilings and felt very roomy and we could hear each other talk. Finally we both agreed gents and ladies loos were the cleanest cafe/shop/public ones we’ve come across in all our travels across England. Worth getting out of the crowds in union st and short walk up the hill towards circus and the Royal crescent

Excellent place for brunch! So yummy and the outdoor seating is a great place to sit and enjoy the morning. We loved the avocado toast and the croissant breakfast sandwich!

Service is slow, they took a while to give us tap water and utensils, and it took a while to get their attention. But the food is good. I had the vegetarian panini (cheese, tomato, pesto) and pictured here are the chicken paninis too. It is not too hard to get seats.

War sehr lecker. Wir hatten jeder einen Salat und die waren richtig lecker. Wir gehen, bevor wir wieder abreisen nochmals dort essen.
