We stopped here for a Sunday breakfast and were thoroughly impressed. Very reasonable and generous portions. I will be going back to try the Sunday roast as it smelt gorgeous. Very friendly staff too. Highly recommended.

Lovely pub, lovely girl serving us. We had the Sunday roast beef dinner. Sirloin was tough to cut and eat, brisket was tender. We had a lager and a large glass of white wine (on the menu it was 125ml, 175ml, or a bottle) so would assume 175ml was a large. When the bill came we were charged for 2 small glasses of wine and when we asked were told that's how they charge for a large glass which totalled £10.50 for one glass of wine (which definitely wasn't 250ml of wine!). We had to speak to 2 people to query it then were told to speak to the manager. In the end we were grudgingly charged for a 175ml glass of wine. We left with a bad feeling, ruined our Sunday lunch.

I must say that the food, service and deserts were all 1st class. The food was hot. Very well presented and clearly cooked with care. The deserts were something from the great British bake off. Excellent presentation again prepared with care. I would add a pic or 2 but would only be empty plates. Well done Butchers arms. I highly recommend the banoffee cheesecake. You won't regret it.
