Sadly not up to usual standard often go in when friends come and have the same liver meal which is usually lovely, but on this occasion it was terrible, the liver was well over cooked could hardly cut it, and veg were all but raw, far less than al dente,asked for water but none arrived and no one came and asked if meal was ok, which normally they always do, I wanted to complain but my friend said not too, sadly really put us off going again which is a shame

Absolutely superb. The food is fresh and tastes home made. We had scrambled egg on toast and egg mayonnaise sandwich. Judging by other tables portions are generous. Coffee was also great.

My special treat while my motorcycle is being serviced. It is great there are two options for the full English, so us pensioners can have the smaller portion.

Very disappointed. Been told so much on how fantastic the food and staff are we...group of 5..... decided to have lunch here. Really looking forward to it after reading the reviews. Unfortunately no disabled access at all. The only door was locked and staff couldn't find the key !! Then the manager (I think) appeared and looked at me in my wheelchair and asked 'can't you get in there!'......umm its a step....a step I can't do in a wheelchair. So no business from us today and somewhere I won't go again or recommend.

Having walked around the town, it appeared that there were not too many choices on where to enjoy a sandwich and a cuppa. Now realising that having found this diamond we understand why, clean, friendly staff - varied menu and all at a fair price. Strongly recommended.

We had stayed at the Wellington Travelodge, and found this cafe to come for breakfast. It was a really good breakfast and exceptional service and very friendly staff. Would definitely come back!!

Very friendly and welcoming staff. The food is presented beautifully and tastes delicious. If you like lamb then the lamb shank is the best in the area/County. The decor is cosy and comfortable. They also have a delivery service to your home.

Stopped in on the way back from Cornwall, as we have done before, for the vegetarian breakfast, even though it was late morning. Friendly service, as we have had before. Food and coffee both really good, and well worth a stop on a long journey.

We popped down to Wellington to collect a parcel and whilst there had a spot of breakfast from Cafe Licious and it was absolutely delicious. I had the big breakfast, as you do, washed down with an Americani and both were superb. All the usual in the full monte, bar black pudding, and it was cooked perfectly. I highly recommend this little cafe, excellent service, fantastic food and drink in a well kept, clean, establishment. We will definitely go again next time we are wellington way.

very dissapointed with our visit to cafe licious today . having been going there for many years we were shocked to find an increase in the prices of at least 30% on the menue , we are of pension age and cannot afford that kind of increase and sadly will not be going again , the food was just as good and the service very good from the staff . we understand that everything is going up in price but our pension has not gone up by 30% only just over3.4% so any increase over and above 5% is not worth it , shame on you as alot of your custom are from pension aged .

Visited here with friends whilst staying in Wellington for the weekend. All food ordered was of a very high standard, well presented and extremely tasty. No problems with 5 of us each paying separately either. Toilets and all public areas very clean. Highly recommend.

I am quite a fussy person and if I could give ten stars I would !!!! Highly recommended. Myself & my husband went for a lovely meal. I had Cottage Pie which came with roast potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli & carrots - all freshly cooked. My husband had a double cheese burger with chips. He said it was the very best burger he had ever had (and he has tried lots around the world too), not greasy, cooked to perfection. Chips were not greasy either - cooked also to perfection. My close family are visiting in December and we will certainly go to LICIOUS CAFE. The delicious cakes are home made - we took home a large piece of Carrot Cake (yummy) and a piece of gorgeous Chocolate cake - which my husband said was so rich and tasty. Staff are very friendly and extremely efficient. Best cafe in Wellington, Somerset.

Arrived bang on time by the happiest delivery driver I've ever met 😃 food was hot, plentiful and tasty. 1st time home delivery from Cafe Licious definitely not our last. Thanks guy for a great lamb shank lunch

We stumbled across this place in Wellington. Incredible value. Between us we had lovely homemade cottage pie and fresh salmon, vegetables and potatoes. Extensive menu. Will definitely be back.

After stating it it had to be dairy and egg free many times, for an 8 year old with a bad allergy, and then asking the staff to double check, they claimed the cake was indeed dairy/egg free. It wasn’t and our child was sick....

Went into the cafe for two take out lunches. Presented with menus which we ordered from. Whilst waiting for our food we witnessed a table be cleared but not anti-bacterial sprayed or wiped and then someone else sat to it. Not good in C19 conditions. We took the food to a nearby park to eat. The paninis themselves were ok but the crisps they were meant to come with were missing, no napkins either. Average food experience and put off by the substandard cleaning procedure in today’s climate.

Lovely food at reasonable prices and excellent staff. If you haven't been yet, then give it a go. You won't be disappointed.

It had good reviews when I looked on the internet. Is in the main street but plenty of parking and for a Sunday it was extremely popular. A good choice of food on menu and we opted for full english, though some had chips. I had bacon, egg and chips and very tasty it was too. A cosy little cafe with yummy food and not expensive.

Cafe Licious is in the centre of Wellington , a small cafe but very well run , food is very good and priced at reasonable levels and a wide variety of choice .

I use this place frequently and have never been disappointed. They do the usual cafe type stuff (eg breakfasts - which are very good), as well as some more interesting lunch options, (vegetarian, homemade moussaka and an astonishingly great liver and bacon, to name a few). The staff are cheerful and efficient and the setting pleasant. Alcohol can also be ordered with your meal.Lunchtimes are particularly busy, as are weekend mornings for breakfast, but there is additional seating upstairs. The prices will please your wallet too.

If you are hungry, this is the place to go for a BIG breakfast! Well cooked, good ingredients and plenty of them. If you just need a coffee and tea cake, equally as good. If it is busy downstairs, then there is room upstairs too.

Ate here with family, lovely meal but tables a bit packed in. Very clean, food was hot and service was good.

We like the food, but for the third visit in succession despite asking for NO onion in the salad, guess what, onion was included. Also asked for hot drinks to be served WITH the meal, NOT BEFORE, guess what didn't happen. Afraid that no matter how good the food is if you don't take any notice of what the customer asks for you won't be seeing THIS customer again. This place used to run like clockwork and without any apparent change in management somebody needs to instruct the staff what is required as the food is good. What do they do with someone allergic to nuts and tells them that?I am afraid they give me no confidence, I am allergic to the effect of onion contamination and am not prepared to take the chance that they get it wrong so often. Disappointing that we now have to look for somewhere else for lunch, will have to read Tripadvisor reviews.

We were visiting Wellington for the day and looking for a restaurant just off the main drag for lunch. We were very lucky to find this place, but as it was jam packed as we walked past it told us something about its popularity. We walked passed a couple of times until we saw a free table. By the way, there is also plenty of room upstairs. We both ordered the bacon baguette with a side helping of chips. Honestly! when it came it was huge. We didn't need the chips. I had a coffee and my partner had a hot chocolate with cream and a flake on top. All for under 15 quid!

We live locally but somehow I’ve never been in before. I popped in with my son for a light lunch. We both had a panini that came with salad. It was good value for money and staff were friendly

I didn't know what to expect from this cafe but from start to finish it was a pleasant and enjoyable experience. The food portions are great value for money and this is a great place for lunch with friends.

Popped in for late lunch. Friendly staff. Meat fell off the lamb shank with good mash potato and veg. Ham egg and chips well presented. Decor good and place clean. It offers what it says. Cheap. Would recommend and will return.

Normally eat here when in Wellington, but standards are obviously slipping. Sorry to say this is the second time that we have specifically requested NO onion with the salad with the toasties and been served them WITH onion. The food is normally very good here but if the server cannot get the order right or even write it down correctly Ibefore passing it through to the kitchen then I am afraid we will be going elsewhere. Putting the toasties on a fresh plate and replacing the salad may not be a big deal but I am allergic to onion and can still taste it whether it is imaginary or not.

Staff are always friendly, food homecooked and tasty and there’s a laid back homely atmosphere which I love. We don’t get the chance to visit as much as we’d like but when we do, we’re never disappointed.

This is my second visit here. This is a real caff, basic all day food, lots of tea and coffee and all at very reasonable prices. True the ingredients won’t be organic nor artisan but it certainly gives the locals what they want and my vegan and pescatarian friends can also eat perfectly well. The service is efficient and friendly and the public areas clean and unpretentious.

Cafe Licious always impresses. The breakfasts are excellent and the coffee is ‘proper’! I will go again and again. The only complaint is the quality of the sausages; why not source them from Potter’s in the future.

After moving into town and having no internet at home, my search for WiFi took me into this independent coffee shop.

Wow what a high standerd this caffe has. The food the seating and the staff are all amazing. The staff must be highly trained as I've only experienced service like this in high class resteraunts. Service with a simile and thay go the extra mile. Defenatly recommend Sunday dinner at just over £6 per person you get a large plate full of yummy roast. Taters are crisp n crunchy just how we like them. Thank you will defently be back.

I have had breakfast and coffee at this restaurant on many occasions and can not fault the service or the food. The staff are friendly and the food is excellent. We have also tried Sunday lunch which was also excellent.

Stuck for a birthday breakfast on a bank holiday so gave it a try. Sparkling clean throughout, totally. Staff welcoming, pleased to see us and 'on it' all the time as the place filled up. Food was just what we ordered and very good quality.

Diverted off the M5 for a nice breakfast and ended up here. Lovely food, lovely staff and lovely atmosphere. We stopped on a Tuesday morning and it was rather busy.

We visited Cafe Licious for a family lunch, we all ordered something different from each other and all of the dishes were served with a smile and were delicious. The portion size was spot on and the price was very reasonable. All in all we were very satisfied with our experience thank you.

What a delightful find this turned out to be on a quick visit to Wellington. We, a mature couple, received a warm welcome and took advantage of the 'tea & cake' offer that was a real bargain. A pot of tea and a generous portion of delicious cake. If we are ever in Wellington again we will certainly head for Cafe Licious. Thank you.

We had stopped half way on a very long journey. We came here for breakfast with 2 young children. Its a really lovely cafe, very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent amd good coffee too. Highly recommend.

excellent food , very friendly people, i dont work here or have any interests in the business but we are regular's here and I must say that we have never had a bad meal at this restaurant and they are quite good sizes especially the cottage pie, yummy oh and the breakfasts, if I say fried bread they might no who this is , lol

We were staying at the local Travelodge en route for our holiday and looking for somewhere to have breakfast. Couldn't have done better. Friendly staff, prompt service, very good portions and flexible for my gluten free diet, and a great cup of latte. Very impressed.

This place is a bit of a local drop in for me and it is always spot-on.From a hearty cooked breakfast, a healthy power shake to an afternoon cuppa tea and a slice of cake it has never let me down; and I have been a lot.Workmen, lunching mum's/dad's, hung-over party goers, chatting grannies, business people - They all flock here because they know what you don't know...Good Food and Good Service.

Wellington is a great little town! It's quietly got a lot going for it, it's almost Somerset's little secret. Lot's of supermarkets, pubs, cafes, restaurants etc, without the hustle, bustle and stress of the bigger towns in the area. Anyway! Visited Cafe Licious on a Wednesday morning for a builder's breakfast to sustain me through the rigours of the forthcoming day. It's situated in a central position just a minute or so from a couple of the main car parks (70p for an hour's parking, thats Wellington for you!) Never been before, but saw it had some good reviews so curiosity got the better of me. I wouldn't call the Cafe Licious 'plush' has about 12 or 13 granite tables ( one outside under the awning) with plywood paneling around the walls. Seemed to be staffed by a pleasant young couple, young lady out the front and a lad out the back (looking slightly vacant) cooking the grub. I ordered a cappuccino and of course the big breakfast as I need to keep my strength up. Didn't wait more than 10mins for the breakfast to be delivered to my table, piping hot! Like Dantes Inferno! I kid you not! Not overcooked at all, just steaming hot! General full English, catering sausages that were not to bad, mushrooms a bit on the rubbery side and swamped with baked beans (great if you are obsessed with baked beans) bacon, egg, hash browns, toast, coffee, really good. Breakfast was just under 6 quid which wasn't bad value. At 8am there was 3 or 4 couple's having breakfast, reading the papers and just generally chillin! I'm not totally sure what I made of the place. I did leave a tip so maybe my subconscious was trying to tell me something!

Visit this cafe regularly and never disappointed. Staff always friendly, helpful and pleased to see you. Food great value and always good. They do the best cup of coffee and their menu offers you a vast selection. I have had many different things on there and all have been good. I would recommend this cafe to anyone without hesitation.

We were staying at the local Travelodge for a couple of nights and we had breakfast at Cafe Licious on both days having read positive reviews on TripAdvisor. I can confirm that the reviews are spot on!This is an excellent cafe which is clearly a hit with the locals. We decided to have a full cooked English breakfast on both days to fill us up so we didn't need lunch. It was great - generous portion size, piping hot and made using local produce. I was able to swap mushrooms for an alternative with no issue and the pot of tea had easily enough for two large cups.  There was a lovely selection of homemade cakes and pastries for 'elevenses' but sadly we were not around at that time to try them!Service was friendly and at just a few pence over £10 for two large cooked breakfasts and two pots of tea - excellent value. We'll be back when we next visit Wellington.

Whilst driving down to Devon we stopped for breakfast in Wellington, Somerset. We parked outside of the Café Licious in South Street. It is obviously a popular eating place. It is clean, well organised and efficient. My wife ordered a Bacon Roll and I asked for a full English breakfast. Both were excellent as were the two pots of tea. My plate of bacon, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, baked beans, hash browns with a round of toast cost less than £6 and was extremely generous. So if it proved possible we planned to revisit the Café Licious on the way home. We did. Who was it who said you should never go back? I ordered rump steak (again at a very good price) with the trimmings. It was next to inedible. Masses of gristle and fat served with a steak knife that my wife’s old granny would have described as being “so blunt one could ride bare ***** to Brompton on it”. The Moussaka that was placed before my wife was tepid and certainly had very little resemblance to the Greek dish she thought she had ordered.So, if you’re Wellington way do visit this restaurant if you’re looking for an excellent and generous breakfast but steer clear of the lunch menu.Pity, but it shows you have to go back to test your first opinion.

One of the most popular cafes in Wellington. Has a good range between the obvious all-day breakfasts - apparently very popular! - and daily dishes like moussaka. I've just had the various coffees, and it deserves praise for excellent atmosphere and service.

On approach this cafe looks nothing special, do not be deceived, the staff are friendly and welcoming and more importantly the food is top quality at reasonable prices. Definitely recommend and worth a visit if you are in the area. Only negative it can get extremely busy!

We visited Cafe Licious on Sunday for Sunday Lunch, we picked our table for two and no sooner had we sat down we were warmly welcomed , the menu was explained and we chose the Roast Beef but could of had the Roast Turkey or Roast Lamb plus a multitude of their meals on the menu!My wife had a jug of water and I chose a coffee[ excellent] . When the meal arrived, the waitress smiling said the plates are hot, please be careful , would you like any sauces? We had the horseradish sauce!Freshly carved beef and plenty of it plus yorkshires, roast potatoes, with a variety of vegetables, also creamed potatoes.Presentation was excellent and ample portions for two hungry people , but not piled high!!We cannot praise Cafe Licious enough for their excellent food and the warmest of welcomes, always a smile and they make you feel like old friends, yes it is that good.We could of had puddings, a good variety and also a good choice of wines & beers.We think that this Cafe/Restaurant deserve high praise for their reasonable prices and hard work that they put in to make sure you enjoy your visit, and we can certainly say that we did.
