The BEST EVER Indian food!!! Empty plates on all tables. You must eat here 😋😋😋.

Stunning food. Had the naga curry. Good heat but not over powering / load of flavour and freshly cooked.

Excellent takeaway last night. Shaslick is always very good but Chicken Tikka Dhansak was really good too and meat so tender. Service always on point. Thank you.

Today I had dinner at this restaurant with my partner. I am disappointed. First of all, when my partner reported that he Coke was flat, he got another one, the same without gas. When he wanted to replace it, he accidentally spilled it on the table. I was surprised when the dishes we ordered were served on a wet table and tablecloth. As for the food, they were supposed to have shrimps with garlic, but unfortunately there was no taste of garlic. My partner's lamb was tough. The best was the nan bread. To sum it up, I do not recommend it.

Great Indian restaurant and the food tasted great, the only slight negative was the poppadoms were definitely not freshly cooked

Attended here tonight 29/3/24 Good Friday, and it was our first time to visit from wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿. Very impressed, excellent food & service . Toilets / restaurant was clean . Very accommodating. Will definitely return if in the area again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What a find!!!! Lovely little restaurant serving fantastic Indian and Bangladeshi food. The staff were very attentive and polite and quickly made us feel at ease. We had chicken dupiaza and chicken jalfrezi with mushroom rice and a peshwari nann. The food was up there with the best we have had. If you are in Henley looking for an Indian meal then look no further. Top class!!

Bad bits - arrived just past 6 and ordered quickly but not food for 80 mins. Clearly focus on the takeaway and not the restaurant which is a shame. Lots of people waiting on food. Near the end of the meal a leak appeared in the roof above me which ended our meal early. No discount other than an apology and blaming a tenant next above. Good bits - food was great. Clearly a very popular place!

Food delivered 2 hours after ordering (we live less than 10 minutes away), dishes were barely warm by the time it got here and was missing one of the items ordered. Wouldn’t recommend delivering.

Little worried that our server did not know what Gluten Free was, but he dutifully got the manager who knew all about it which reassured us. Food was tasty, service good and very good value for money. Cheap, cheerful and not too busy in the dining room but lots of deliveries going on.

First time trying this place. The service I found to be quite rude and abrupt, being made to feel like an inconvenience asking about different items on the menu, despite the restaurant being completely empty, makes me wonder why these guys are working in the hospitality industry!? Asking for a glass of water and being offered a half empty bottle of mineral water which had been taken off another customers’ table was laughable. Settled for the tap water in the end! However, the food was wonderful. The duck tikka and the lamb samosas were extremely well cooked, super tasty. But the lime pickle was like nothing I’ve tasted before - so incredibly incredible I can’t even describe how incredible it was. I think I’ll be slathering it on everything from now on! Despite the questionable service, and the coldness of the staff, I’ll be back to try other meals as the food was superb x

Avoid ! If you don't fancy dysentry, repeated violent vomitting & 3 days of diarrhoea like other customer reviewers & I had immediately after eating here, I felt very ill & couldn't eat for 3 days afterwards, been feeling very fragile with very dodgy, unpredictable stomach & bowels, haven't been able to go anywhere or function as normal, not even down the road cos need to be near a toilet at all times for days after this & was washed out for 1st day, had to sleep loads to recover, constantly interrupted by the stomach upset ! The worst £79 I ever spent ! I do not like this place for a number of other reasons too : my friends & I arrived in Henley on Thames on Tuesday evening 04 th July '23 & were hungry so looked up online for local takeaways, we found Chinese to be closed but 2 Indian restaurants stated they were open until 23:30 hrs so we spent some te parousung their menu & decided what we'd like & compiled a sizeable order on a notepad, we telephoned them & a man answered & said they'd closed before their advertised opening times, there's more ... so we made a snack meal instead, the next evening my friends wanted to go to this restaurant because they'd had their hearts set on it, we tried to locate the place using Google maps but couldn't find it, we passed some people sitting outside on a main street in Henley & 2 nice, helpful, friendly men said they know this restaurant, that it's their favourite, "the best in Henley" & regular customers there for 12 years! They advised we mention their names to get a discount &/or a free complimentary shot of Bailey's liqueur each, they directed us & we found it. ...

We had a fabulous meal here and the service was brilliant; we were well looked after by Raj. Highly recommend and would definitely go and eat here again.

Requested well done Nan but arrived barely brown. Last delivery was short rice never received a refund . More attention to detail needed of orders Always give delivery drivers £5 wish I had not as food was lukewarm and not as ordered

Ate here over the regatta weekend and our party now have awful food poisoning. Terrible end to the event. Avoid this place.

Ate here for the regatta. Within 12 hours I have horrendous food poisoning, and so does my partner. I have reported to the local council and asked them to do a much needed hygiene inspection to save others the same experience. Finally, was disappointed to find that once seated, we were only allowed to order from a ‘regatta menu’ that was no different to the menu advertised outside (save for the additional few £s added to dishes…).

Fantastic food, wonderful service and great hospitality . One of the most outstanding Indian restaurants in Henley. Value for money and the quality is superb! Staff were great and tailored the order to our requirements . I had a chicken Zala and the other half had a tandoori sea bass. To sum up this restaurant in one word - exquisite!

Poppadoms and pickle tray, outstanding. Main was lovely apart from bones in sea bass. Only complaint would be that the staff were decidedly unfriendly, barely a hello from any of the staff.

Order takeaway from Cafe Le Raj on the regular! Really delicious food and prompt service. If you’re in Henley and want Indian, this is the best!

As someone who is ridiculously fussy when eating out, probably unfairly so I was delighted with this restaurant, a definite recommend. Good unobtrusive service, the Kitchen was prompt, even on a busy day and the food was excellent, and to my expectations. Thank you.

Cafe le Raj is an absolute winner. The GF and i had nothing but good service and even better food. Missing South Africa felt like a distant dream after sinking our teeth into the soft flavourful lamb curry. We felt like right real tourists taking pictures of our meal but only so we could boast that cafe le raj is within walking distance of our home.

What a great place! We mentioned that 1 of us was vegan upon our arrival, and the guy was very helpful! Great service and people. The good did take a while to come though. Would definitely go back

Walked here after Giggling Squid had failed miserably at accommodating us. They found us a table, gave us drinks and poppadoms immediately and we then ordered our main course. The food was so tasty, I'll definitely go back. The staff were very helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

Every time we order Chicken Ada, Prawn Nampuri and Lamb - it's always delicious. The flavours, perfume, textures are out of this world. You deliver which is brilliant because we don't condone eating in restaurants even under the present guidelines.

Average place. Pleasant service, food was ok. Nothing jumped out as being really good, just a run of the mill curry house. Would I go again, no, there are plenty of other places in town to explore.

After the spice merchant refused to deliver to our boat as we did not have a post code we tried this place , absolutely fantastic , first class cuisine with delivery to boat , highly recommend this place for boaters we will definitely use again

It was too crowded in the COVID-19 not enough safely measure. The customer toilet is too compact. Food is kind of OK.

Fab food, decent service, and a good discount (due to Corona). However we were shifted tables just before food arrived and this was slightly disruptive to the vibe. They were apologetic but no special treatment. Also I think £1 a poppadom is slightly steep. Overall a good time would come again.

Wow. Ordered a collection from here this evening. Duck masala was divine. Vegetable balti my wife had was nicest balti she's ever had. Flavours in all the dishes were just so sublime. On holidays in Henley-on-Thames and wish this restaurant was in our home town.

Sweet inauthentic food. Waiter was deeply apologetic but after 3 attempts to gove us a decent jalfrazie we ddcided to shut up. Sweet, watery, so tomatoey more italian than indian.

Great food, great service, lovely in and out! I have used Le Raj many times over the last months and have rarely been underwhelmed and never disappointed! The quality, portion size and value of their food is great; filling and tasty. In house dishes such as the Cafe Le Raj Chicken, are great staples to top the list of typical favourites, and from fish to vegetable curries, the variety serves all. Eating in, the atmosphere when busy is great, the lighting can be a little surgical at emptier times. Service is attentive and very friendly. Taking away, food is served hot and provided in good quantity. Providing a discount for collection is a great incentive to enjoy tasty food from the comfort of your own home!

Café Le Raj is a warm and welcoming, predominantly Bengali curry house. A good selection of dishes, priced accordingly - not expensive for Henley. Ask the waiters any questions and if you have any requests they will try and accommodate. The fish currys are fantastic! 5*

Fabulous food....nothing too much trouble even when asked if they had fruit rice. Cooked to perfection. Would recommend the lemon grass chicken.
