Cafe Inn in Lewisham

Good food, great interior. New fave place in Lewisham.Staff fine, coffee good. Spacious & love the booths. Better than other cafes in the immediate area.

I had a breakfast in Cafe Inn. Two eggs, because they didn't do omelettes, my usual. Guy serving seemed bored but at least didn't have the fierce, hard gaze that London cafe servers often project, in my experience. Cafe Inn also differed from the other cafes I visited in Lewisham by having arty decor, including modern-art tiles on the wall. Vibe was a sort of shabby chic deteriorating into just shabby. The fried eggs were the highlight of the breakfast--beautifully golden and runny. But the rubbery (reconstituted?) mushroom slices were inedible and the worst I've ever had. I noticed people popping in for takeout coffees, which you don't see in more standard cafes. So I had one, and it was surprisingly good. (Better still for coffee, though, is the Resta Coffee Bar further up Lewisham High Street, which is stellar.)

When you want a homely staple this is the place. Their cheese and tuna mix hits the spot each time. Thanks to Lulu for introducing me to this eatery.

Recently returned with my daughter at the Cafe Inn Lewisham, after pre pandemic 17/06/2022. Had to look up the company as I remember the top standard of food and customer service on the table from many visit here and eating with great customer care previously. I had to get a fork and clean as the previous fork put on my table that I was eating with had the tastes of 2 mens deodorant smell in a shop we was in collecting my daughter’s pair of spectacles/glasses a few doors away from the cafe Inn. Myself and my daughter could not believe the scent from these mens deodorant were on the fork and also on her fork had the smell as we previously went into the eye optician 20 minutes/30 beforehand then went into Cafe Inn. For me that clearly says that these guys ate with the forks at the same restaurant and this indicates that the washing up is not to the standards that it should be either you are cut costing and using less water and no soap wiping with a clothe putting the forks back into the tray, given this to the next customer… also I have research the company on the business list and they seemed that maybe new management is at play here as the standard is certainly not the standard that “I know” previously was of high standard. Disgusting. I will not be visiting here ever again… please wash your utensils in soapy water and clean. Your customer should not be tasting the previous customers deodorant smell on the forks if they have been throughly washed. This is Basic hygiene. Certainly dissatisfied customer.

Really pleased to have stumbled upon this place, we ordered 2 toasted sandwiches, 2 desserts, 2 teas and 2 double espressos, and we were impressed with both the food quality and value. The decor is industrial themed but interesting, and the seating is designed to provide private cabins around each table. We would definitely eat here again if we return to Lewisham.

The staff are friendly and the cafe is nice (if expensive) but there is no social distancing being practiced at all - all tables are still available for use. I like it there but will not be returning whilst infection rates are high.

As breakfasts go its not bad, but as breakfasts go inn relative to cost, it is then a little overpriced. Nice enough ambience inside though.

This place is a godsend.. staff are very friendly, food is good and well priced, the homemade beef burger is excellent... Can’t wait to sit inside and eat as only open for take away at present

A familiar place, with many visits I have had over the last year, with family and clients. Always a great and warm welcome. The menu is well priced with a great choice whether it be breakfast or lunch time always a delight. The customer services are 2nd to none, always there to please. Food well cooked and presented. This place is clean and spotless. Top Marks Cafe Inn! My one and only go to cafe in Lewisham!

Stumbled across this fairly new cafe and decided to have a coffee break with my mother and husband. Such warm atmosphere and friendly staff the feel is unreal, I witnessed many laughs with staff and other visitors. Prompt service and great textured coffee.
