Consistently great food with generous portions and quick, friendly service. Huge menu, clearly cooked to order. Reasonably priced for the area with some very good weekday deals. Dog friendly. Clientele varied and sometimes quite busy with kids.

This is our favourite local takeaway. High quality and varied menu. Never disappoints.

Great vegan options in this place. It's not fine dining. Cutlery and crockery were basic. I had a starter and main course and sparkling water for less than £20. I'll definitely be back when I am in the area because it's tasty healthy food and great value for money.

Not suitable to visit with babies! The food was excellent, very tasty. Unfortunately the staff failed to tell us that there was nowhere to change a baby so when it was necessary I was forced to go outside and do a full change on a bench, in January. Ridiculous! Most places without a dedicated space would allow you to change a baby in a staff room and if that wasn’t possible, I wish they had warned us when we arrived with our prams!

Place is warm, cozy and well lit. The portions were very generous. Really enjoyed the starters such as the Chien Nuoc Mam Squid and Tofu Summer Rolls.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Buddha taste, and I must say, it was an absolute delight for the senses! Highly recommended!

I just had an amazing lunch at Buddha Taste. The food there is always top class. I really recommend it for vegan and if you like supporting families' business. The flavour, portions and great variety make the place special.

Food was very tasteful. We had been waiting for this place to reopen to try it out and it was satisfying. A three course mean or two starters and a main would be ample if you have a big appetite.

Absolutely LOVED the food, everything was DELICIOUS!! we even ordered the same dish once more, it was the glazed tofu, absolutely amazing!! Flavours were on point with every dish and the service was perfect. Our food came quickly, it was lovely and hot and the decor was simple and clean. It was nice and warm inside which was very much needed when coming in from the cold. Couldn't fault anything, even the prices were reasonable, hope to return again soon!

Very sad about this date... often get the takeout and it's excellent, first time in the restaurant. Had to bellow over the stairs when I came in, someone ran up sat me down and ran back down.... the next customer to come in wandered about untill I yelled down the stairs again, someone came up eventually. When my date came in, same thing. They stayed up this time, but I had to go over to order, as they weren't paying attention to us 😅 We decided to try out the rest of the menu, and both mains were not good, neither of us could eat them, and we ordered the Omni pork to take home as the tinny pop was rivetting though our heads by that time. The response to the two inedible mains was 'well it's the first time you ordered them'. Shan't be going back in. Ever. Will probably cut my nose off to spite my face and not even order the regular takeout any more. Which was usually about once a week.

Sorry but no....this food is not worth the money or the experience, at the least the one that we had tonight. My Pho was absolutely TASTELESS. I have been eating Pho for the 20 years. Rice with pineapple, sauteed cauliflower and bubble teas, just OK. I kindly asked them to make my tea hot because of my throat and because cold air was coming from the main entrance and both times it was barely lukewarm. They tried to charge me 0.70 on the bill to warm up my tea....then I complained and they apologised and took it off. I didn't want to pay the service charge (not compulsory) and they said that it was mandatory: I paid to avoid issue. I can't go back: I work very hard for my money and I like eating well and this food and the experience was NOT worth it. One of the members of staff apologised to us when we were leaving. What a shame :(

Found this amazing little gem when the place we meant to go is actually closed on Tuesdays. The interior is cosy and welcoming, the staff is polite and helpful. This was the first time I tried meatless food in London but there’s no compromise in the taste! We got the set menu where you can choose one starter, one main and a drink. Great taste starters, the pho broth full of umami. Five stars!

Such a shame to have to write a bad review. Our first experience here was lovely however the second time was completely off putting. My partner ordered a burger and the bread was clearly stale and had been out all day so we requested a new one. As it was being taken back to the kitchen we saw the waiter touching the burger repeatedly with his hands. Instead of making a new one (which is what we wanted) for my partner, they had quite clearly used the same bread a microwaved it for a little while to soften the bread. Of course he could and didn't eat this as now not only it is microwaved stale bread but also has been touched with unwashed hands of the staff. When we were going to pay, it took 15mins to get them to remove the disgusting item off our bill and we didn't receive so much as an apology. Absolutely horrific service, attitude and management. Will definitely not be returning and advise you choose wisely before dining at this terrible establishment. EDIT: the reply from your management team is completely twisting the situation, we were not offered a new burger in the first instance. We asked for a new to be brought up and instead we received them back microwaved and the waiter staff was very rude saying "what do you want me to do". Will not be returning and encourage you to think carefully before dining here. Disgusting. Management's reply perfectly illustrated the problem with this establishment. REFUSING TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY when things go wrong on their end.

Well cooked , tasty (largely) plant based menu, lovingly prepared and served with a smile . My only one issue was that dishes advertised as ‘spicy’ could be spicier! All tasty though!

Ordered two bubble teas and they were sent without no straws. Called and instead of saying sorry, they said “what you want” with a really bad manner and hung up. I called once more and they just hung up again. Now I’m all for supporting small businesses, but with bad customer service like this and being rude on the phone I had to give them one star. Shame as the food and drink is great and have ordered many times.

Can't rate the food highly enough and the waitresses were so lovely. Can't wait to come back again and have already planned what we'll try next time. All of the food was great but the highlights were the banh mi (beautiful crusty baguette and pickled veg with a perfect hint of sweetness) and the bun hue (broth was packed with flavour with a light touch of spice, noodles were perfectly cooked, and so many toppings!). I'm a meat eater and didn't feel like I missed out at all, as the meat alternatives were tasty and had good textures. The Vietnamese milky coffee was sweet and delicious and the perfect antidote to the wonderful savoury flavours of all the food!

So delicious! Had the tofu katsu curry and the vermicelli with vegan chicken delivered. Both so good!

Spring rolls looked and tasted frozen, the insides were powdery and not fresh at all. Noodles were sloppy and overcooked. Partner’s rice dish was salty and lacked any proper veg, had very few pieces of tofu

I absolutely loved the food there, and it was so nice not to have to worry about contamination from meat products as this is a vegetarian restaurant. I am definitely coming again soon and my favourites were the starters. Nom nom nom!!! 😄

really really good. I've had the Bun Hue and the Pad Thai with tofu - both were amazing, but the Pad Thai takes the prize.

Their taste is heavenly. Out of this world. There was a small misunderstanding with the service charge the first time I visited. I left a 2 star feedback due to this and the owner had replied. By the second time I visited they have corrected the issue: I was shown the bill before I paid and they no longer asked for additional tip on top of service charge. It's good to see an owner actually care about customer feedback and care to change. 5 stars.

Good veggie food, although poor service. We ordered the pineapple fried rice, but sadly couldn’t find any chunks of pineapple in it! The aubergine scallion was really good and Malaysian rendang was good. Make sure you check the allergens with staff before you order - I ordered a dish with no gluten in it, and they served it up with onions fried in wheat flour. Had I not queried my dish, I would have had a bad reaction to the gluten. They swapped it with no problem.

This was one of the best vegan delivery services we tried in London! 💚 We had the tofu katsu curry and mock pork with rice noodles, and a bubble tea. Everything felt very fresh, the portions were big and tasted absolutely amazing. We'll definitely be visiting it in person soon to try out the other vegan dishes and bubble tea flavours! 🥰

Ordered padsee iew and skewers. Absolutely delicious, pad see iew is a childhood favourite and these guys did it justice. skewer peanut sauce was absolutely delicious - just wish it wasnt the tiniest sliver of oyster mushroom between tofu. still enjoyed every bite would happily eat again.

I visited for the first time this week and was really impressed. The food was beautifully presented and very tasty and full of flavour. The service was also very good and the person serving us was polite and friendly. Also very good value for money and the portion size is very generous. Would recommend.

We went for lunch on a Friday afternoon and ordered two phos. It was the worst Pho we'd ever had as all of the noodles in the soup were broken overcooked pieces. Service was also slow, we waited at the counter trying to pay for far too long. Very disappointing and not worth what we paid. Definitely won't be going back.

First time ordering from here and we were all very impressed. Lovely, flavourful food and generous with the portion sizes. According to my mum it’s one of the best pad thais she’s had! The bubble tea is also real treat. Thanks guys!

Great tasting, fresh, plant-based food. Banh mi are fantastic option for lunch, summer rolls and gyoza are super tasty and they have a range of milk tea and bubble tea options that you cant get anywhere else near by.

Just had the most delicious baguette! Vegan chicken, salad with fresh coriander and chillies. Highly recommend. Bubble teas awesome too. Staff friendly and relaxing atmosphere. I’ll be back again.

Have ordered a few times and eaten in. Everything I’ve tried is delicious and fresh. Amazing to be able to eat everything on a menu (no meat) and it’s actually good, tasty food!

Food was tasty and I had a good ordering experience. The prices are expensive but i suppose this is a reflection of the area. There isn’t any food like this is the surrounding area apart from Panda Panda in Deptford (which is a little too far), so this will now become a regular for me when i fancy Vietnamese food.

Such good quality food and the people working there are lovely! This is the 3 time I have eaten there (2 deliveries and once in the restaurant) super delicious, fresh ingredients and so tasty! Looking forward to the next time :)

Amazing. As a freelance chef and prior Amsterdam business catering company owner, this is exactly what I am looking for in my food deliveries. Through Uber Eats. It was warm (even though the delivery was delayed), well packed, seperate fresh ingredients, great presentation and good portions of sauces. I called the restaurant to let them know how pleased I was (Suyen said) requesting chili oil and sauces for the Pho is an option in the comments as well. 10 out of 10

Lovely place in Blackheath, trying vegan food for the first time. Never thought going to like it but it’s so delicious and the bubble tea with brown sugar the two lovely staff recommend is so refreshing and mouth-watering. Definitely coming back!!

One of my fave places to eat in London, and by chance it near my home! Food is always super fresh, delicious and consistent! Staff a very friendly and always helpful! Perfect place to eat in or take away! The new menu is awesome too! Been coming here many times now, cannot recommend enough!

Great veggie food and milk tea with jelly.

Lots of good options in bubble tea manu, which I have tried most of the time. I liked the soya milk ones more than the normal ones. I have also tried the dessert, not a big fan but was ok, it was interesting to try new few fruits in there. The overall environment was calm and quiet. As I did take away, the packages and services are good. The cleanliness was spot on everytime. Most of them time there was no queue. It would be interesting to try the foods as well.

Had a really lovely lunch here after coming across it by chance on my first visit to Blackheath. It ended up being one of the best meals I’ve had recently, and one of the most affordable. I ordered the Bun-Sa, rice noodle bowl with fake “chicken”. It’s beautifully presented and comes with a spring roll. Very filling and delicious taste. I also ordered an iced coffee with oat milk. It was unsweetened and great tasting like cold brew. I’d highly recommend this place, even as a non-Vegetarian. Enjoy!

Absolutely delicious food. We were a party of 4 and each of our dishes were absolutely fabulous. The starters were amazing as well. It being a hot day, my favourite part were the drinks - iced Vietnamese coffee hit the spot and also tried fruit tea for the first time which was absolutely delicious. The staff was also wonderful and very friendly. Highly recommend it!

The food tasted great but sadly we got food poisoning from it. Had the Hue soup, perhaps it was the non-beef in it that had gone off (looked slightly purple...). Would normally recommend but please please use fresh ingredients....

Nice place for lunch, healthy food. My burger was very tasty & veggie. The coffee was very nice too! My friend and me thought the service was excellent & both enjoyed our food.

EDIT: I don't agree with the reply. Mistakes do happen. This is a feedback which could be useful for other customers. The manager refused to speak to me and once again I'm being blamed. I've said it before in the restaurant and I'm saying this again, I was clear while placing an order that I can't have mushrooms because I'm allergic to them. Not because I don't like them. I repeated it three times because I'm allergic. I also asked for a substitute and my server said that the chef doesn't have any substitute vegetable for it. I then requested for mushrooms to be served separately so that my family could eat it. Because I'm allergic that is why I asked again to confirm if the broth was made with mushrooms because I didn't want to sick. Food was served promptly. While most of the food did taste pleasant, it mainly consisted of plain noodles with hardly any tofu or vegan protein and veggies. Considering the prices, food wasn't value for money. Also, I could've landed in a hospital as my allergy wasn't taken into account when preparing food in the kitchen. I had made it clear that I can't consume one of their ingredients when placing an order. I was later given an option of having Pho without the allergen but I didn't have it. I wanted to give my feedback to the manager who refused to speak to me because he was 'busy preparing food'. Not only was it disrespectful but also showed lack of interest in a customer's feedback. Servers were attentive and their service was good. Restaurant was clean but had some strange smell. I was offered 20% off (£6). Sadly, I don't recommend food here.

May 2022 Ordered for the first time and it was just delicious. Perfect portion and balance of ingredients. Would definitely recommend and order again. 1) Veg crispy gyoza 2) Veg Udon -Tofu noodles 3) Veg Katsu curry -Mushroom Do order the chili oil.

What a wonderful discovery. I found this fascinating petit eatery simply by searching “Food” in Google Maps. My oh my was I so happy to discover Buddha Taste. At first I was saddened when I arrived, around 6pm, as it was closed inside, but apparently it was temporarily so, and they were re-opening the inside the next day. But I nonetheless was happy to eat outside as it was a pleasant early evening. The staff were friendly and they kindly placed a table and chair for me outside their eatery. The food was some of the best vegan dishes I have experienced eating in the UK. The Nil-Chicken was so fragrant and delicious, and really did taste like chicken with a nice, lightly chewy texture. It included a refreshing pickled salad, a delicious, slightly thick satay (peanut) sauce and plain rice. The side Slaw was also refreshing and had a nice crunch. The Matcha Brown Sugar Milk Tea was gorgeous. I opted for the Coconut Milk version which had tasty large chunks of coconut to chew on. I can’t wait to revisit Buddha Taste whenever I am in the area again.

Menu looked decent enough from the outside, we were going to try this place to eat, however we found that the lack of notification that this restaurant serves only vegetarian and vegan food was extremely poor. It was only after reading the very very small, fine print in the bottom corner of the menu, after we were sat at the table, was it made known to us that the "meat" served in the restaurants dishes are made with Quorn or a non-meat alternative. We decided not to eat here on this basis as it felt a bit deceiving that there is no branding or anything else to show you that this is a vegan/vegetarian restaurant. This isn't us vegan/veggie bashing, we can appreciate good vegan food and vegetarian dishes but found the way that it *isnt* presented to the customer as so, as being quite underhanded. I would encourage the restaurant to advertise the fact it is vegan with clear signage and ensure that it is on the menu displayed in the window as it is not clear at all. Edit to owner: Thank you for your condescending remarks, but no it is not clear at all that nil-beef, nil-chicken etc. means no/zero. As an asian inspired restaurant we genuinely assumed this may have been some regional way of preparing these meats, perhaps a name for a particular kind of seasoning or dressing... This is not about being open minded to try your food but rather the lack of obvious information for your customers to make informed decisions about what they would like to eat. The fact you have no meat on your menu is not why we chose to not eat here, but rather the lack of information and how it is presented to advertise that fact - we will not have been the first or the last customers to have avoided eating here for this reason, its poor to assume people know what a "happy cow" logo is and even worse to assume people observe the entirety of your shop front other than the displayed menu. Choosing whether or not I eat meat is not for you to comment on nor to imply it is "greed or evil" or not showing "compassion" for doing so - it is exactly this mentality that reflects a poor light on vegans in general and a very poor reflection of your business ethos. I have eaten at establishments with Buddha in its name, that serve meat.. there used to be an asian restaurant in the village called "The Laughing Buddha" and I would have no reason to assume otherwise that the word Buddha implies vegan food - nor should it be assumed that your customers would know this. Not eating meat does not make you a more compassionate person so I'm at a real loss for your reasoning behind your statements. I would truly "appreciate" a business being frank and honest with its customers about what it is serving, and perhaps some of this condescending ethos that you are happy to preach on a google review would be best placed as a blurb of information about your restaurants mission on your menu - so customers can be better informed about what "Buddha" apparently means and perhaps adopt a more widely recognised logo (such as the vegan society) or even just putting a "VE" next to items on the menu to make the clear distinction of what food you are serving. I would have been willing to give this place a second chance, but your hasty and condescending response has cemented the fact that you are not willing to accept constructive criticism and listen to those who have found clear issue with the way you attempt to conduct (read deceive) your custom.

Lovely restaurant, best pho I’ve had in ages really wide selection of different veggie meat alternatives. Really quick service and the staff are really friendly and were good with allergies! I will definitely be coming back
