Cafe Frappe in East Hertfordshire

I had a full English and a coffee, food was a standard greasy spoon so wasn't expecting the price to be so high at 16.50. If they have to charge these prices to pay for rent, ect, at least deliver some quality. Otherwise, daylight robbery

They open early and rescue people with good coffee.

First visit 18/2 for a much-needed breakfast. Wanted a hearty breakfast to aid the recovery of a heavy night out, an Cafe Frappe hit the spot. Breakfast was as you would want and expect, perfectly cooked, delicious and great value for money. The service was friendly too. Will definitely be back!

Have been to this cafe a number of times, on Friday for breakfast, had to inform the young member of staff that the bread had mould on it, his reply was, sorry I can show you the packet with the date on it! Removed the bread and butter from the table, to never return or send a more senior member of staff to speak to us. Paid for the breakfast with no other apology. Will definitely not be returning here.

Very disappointing Only had a coffee at £2.20 with oat milk and an orange juice at £1.75 ,( menu price) and was charged £6.90! When I questioned this I was told I was given a large coffee. So by my calculations a large coffee was more than if I'd bought 2 coffees. Flat white only comes in 1 size usually.Won't be returning.

Service was good. Had the filled omelette which came with a small mixed salad and coleslaw and French fries. Very nice omelette.

Strange place, waitress isn’t allowed to do anything but take orders and then stands around while the bloke does everything. Dirty cutlery and expensive for what it is, had Spanish omelette and to be honest I feel like it was made with half an egg. Didn’t like the atmosphere and couldn’t wait to get out!

A great, dog friendly breakfast spot, ideal for breakfast after a lovely local walk. Great selection of affordable and good tasting food, quick and friendly service. This is our new Sunday breakfast spot and would definitely recommend.

Came for lunch on Sunday with my partner. Ended up both getting all day breakfasts. The food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. Staff very helpful and friendly. Also had a hot chocolate and bought a cake for later which were excellent. Highly recommend.

Posto delizioso, personale delizioso, cibo delizioso, decisamente un ottima esperienza! Non mi aspettavo di trovare un ottimo cappuccino al di fuori di un bar italiano (da italiano) maquando ho assaggiato il loro cappuccino ne sono rimasto colpito. Lo zucchero per scendere ha impiegato quasi 40 secondi, il sapore è la temperatura perfetti! Nonostante mia moglie ha girato il cucchiaino, la schiuma rimaneva. Siamo voluti rimanere per il pranzo, dopo aver assaggiato il cappuccino (caldo in un giorno freddo) ed anche il resto era realmente saporito, fresco e cucinato a dovere. Ci siamo trovati così bene che prenoteremo ad agosto una stanza, chi se lo perché un Breck fast fatto da loro?! Da consigliare? Decisamente! Da provare? Certamente! Entusiasta? Certo che si! Mi sono sentito a casa, coccolato come da una madre. Ci rivediamo ad agosto!

I live in ware and this is the best cafe in that area nice people and service try it for your self you won't be disappointed and like most cafes there's no cheap sausage 😜.

I've often walked past this place and it always seemed to have a good number of people in there so it was on my list to try. It's a small cafe/bistro with a varied menu and an emphasis on home cooking. We were served almost the instant our bottoms hit the chairs by a lovely lady who delivered our drinks just as quickly. We'd popped in for lunch and so had ordered 'simple' egg baguette and jacket potato (with beans & bacon). Everything we asked for (we're slimming) was "no trouble" including poached (instead of fried) eggs and grilled, not fried, bacon. Simple food it may have been but it was so delicious, freshly cooked and nicely presented. The home-made coleslaw side was the best I've ever had. Oh and the superb display of cakes and pastries looked like a Christmas feast. Did I mention the very reasonable prices? We will definitely be lunching here more often, just lovely!

Had the set 1 breakfast bloody lovely!

Zero consideration for their neighbours, hours are supposed to be until 11pm which was news to us, yet loud music and people out the back of their premises well after midnight at the weekends and midweek. Spoken to them twice, apologies given yet nothing done about it. People will think why the negative review but try living beside a premises thats just recently changed their hours unknown to us when you've work early every day . Not on at all.

Went her for lunch with one of my friends, it looked like a lovely little cafe so we decided to try it out and it had good reviews.We looked at the menu when we got in and thought the food was a bit expensive.I got a vegetarian breakfast which was listed a £5.90 on the menu and my friend got the Italian chicken baguette which was listed as £4.10 on the menu.The food was okay, not too warm though.We went to pay and I was charged £6.30 for my £5.90 breakfast and my friend was charged £4.45 for her £4.10 baguette.Unfortunately, I had not realised until we had left that we were overcharged.I know it is only 40p odd but it is the principle, can you imagine how much more they are getting out of people by overcharging everyone 40p?I am very disappointed and will not be returning, would not recommend!

We had an excellent lunch at Cafe Frappe, filling, tasty and good value. My wife said that her chicken salad was one of the best things she's eaten all year. My all day breakfast was very good, just like being on a weekend away.

I’m a regular here because the food is great. They give you huge portions and is always fresh and hot. It’s small with a few tables but there’s a garden outside with tables. This place gets busy but I only come here Sunday mornings. Great veggie options. Samantha is super friendly and knows our order by heart. She is so lovely and loves her job. The owner is also very friendly and you always get greeted with a genuine smile. Highly recommend this place.

Great breakfast, friendly prompt service

My wife and I have eaten here a few times now and have always had a good meal. We have tried the breakfasts, the omelettes and the chilli, all of which were great. The coffee is good and all reasonably priced. I’m sure we will be back soon.

One of several cafe in Ware. They do a good selection of food at a reasonable price. I feel they use a better quality of ingredients, especially their sausages . The service is really friendly and helpful and makes the difference between this and some of the other cafes.

We stumbled on this little cafe/restaurant on the way back from a Vintage Fayre. Well the food and service were absolutely perfect. We had a Carvery, but they have an extensive menu of breakfast lunch and dinner. Very tasty. Staff are polite and welcoming. Wholly recommend.

This was a nice small cafe in Ware and we stopped here for our lunch .it was very fresh and tasty!

Occasionally have a light lunch and cup of tea here, and have always enjoyed the food and the relaxed, casual, friendly atmosphere.

Had our post stag party breakfast here. The choice of food and drink was good, the service was warm and friendly and once the food arrived it was delicious (not that it was a long wait). We sat in the garden as it was a beautiful hot Sunday morning and if I were to find a negative with my whole experience then the garden could do with levelling and re-turfing or concreting over into a patio as the grass was about as thin as our mate’s hair! That aside really deserves a full 5 star review.

Best all day breakfast you can get in Ware

Friendly staff, fresh food, I’ve been going for a few years and have always been consistent quality.

I love going to Cafe Frappe and go most days. The staff are brilliant, friendly and helpful and the choice of food is excellent.

Food excellent but the drinks and desserts hadn't been priced up on menu so the final bill was a surprise. They could also do something in the garden to make it more inviting.

I just wanted to do an updated review as I have been a couple more times recently. The service seems to be much faster. The food is still of high quality. You cannot get a baguette with bacon halloumi and avocado for under a fiver though, it says you can on the menu but this is incorrect. They charge another £3 for another filling. As this is the case I would say the fried breakfasts are best value for money and very tasty!

Me my son and husband went to this cafe to get a quick bite to eat as we walked in we were greeted with friendly faces we sat by the outside area and my son said he saw a cat on the roof there was a street cat on the cafes roof the lady next to us had a dog so the dog wouldn't be quiet the food service was quick and the food cane excellent after we ate we went to pay and the man at the till gave my son a sweet the food was cheaper then expected

I love this place and work from there regularly as self employed. Chicken shish with rice is amazing go easy on the chilli sauce its hot.

After looking at the reviews on Trip Advisor we ate lunch somewhere else, but chose to have a hot drink there so we could see for ourselves what it was like.The service was warm and friendly, but whilst sitting there was a very cold draught across my legs. Sitting on wooden seats, that struck cold didn’t help either.Looking at the carvery I wasn’t tempted as the meat looked very dry, and the vegetables didn’t look fresh and Appetising .The hot chocolate was just about hot enough, a degree cooler and I would have asked for it to be reheated.The flavour was average and didn't taste creamy.Overall only average, and in my opinion there are better places to eat and drink in Ware.

Breakfast here regularly. Cracking staff and food is good. Will keep on coming back.

After St Mary's morning church service we went to around on Ware high street for a proper lunch before attend Remembrance service at 2:30pm. We are glad we found Cafe Frappe Sunday Carvery. It cost £9.99 with unlimited veg, it was amazing. On top of that my husband asked for fruit cider but they don't have it. But the lady went out and bought him one. What a service!!!! We utterly enjoy every mouthful of it. Recommend to anyone.

Went with my partner and her mum to this cafe for Sunday lunch - absolutely terrible - cold plates, dry meat and luke warm, tasteless veg! Drinks much the same - warm, and tasted weak. When we complained we were abruptly told no refund, partly our fault as we had paid in advance!!Would NEVER use again and I am usually very mild mannered

Great coffee excellent food and service

Popped in on Wednesday for a family lunch. We sat in the conservatory out the back (which was comfortable), the waitress was kind and made a fuss of our dog. Food was nice & was served quick (which was nice). Very reasonably priced as well

Had a lovely leisurely Sunday morning cooked breakfast. All really well cooked very reasonably priced The place was rammed - we got the last free table both inside the café conservatory and in the garden all tables taken bar one. Staff extremely friendly and our service was very prompt. Not sure if we fell lucky reading previous reviews. Worth a visit and yes the coffee is exceptional!

This little cafe provides very nice simple food at reasonable prices. It has a great little menu which is prefect for a lunch time visit. Everyone I have seen working there is nice and friendly

Had been there for breakfast with colleagues for couple of times. Decent price and lovely food. But last week my husband and I went there for 2 cups of hot drink and 2 pastries. Cost us slightly under £10. Will not go there again. Know a few local place to have a hot drink and a cake for £3 and two of us will be £6.

As you walk in your nose is treated to the delectable smells of the kitchen. I have eaten here several times and it doesn't seem to matter how many people are in there two or twenty the service is always slow. However if you are not in a rush (or really hungry!), then this is fine. The staff are pleasant enough and the food is decent and cheap. I mainly go here because you can get a bacon, halloumi and avocado baguette for under £5. They also do a nice fry-up that's not greasy. There is always a nice atmosphere in there and they have a lovely garden to sit out in at the back. This is great for sunny Saturday afternoons, as we don't get many of those....it's still nice to sit there when it isn't as it is an enclosed garden, it doesn't get windy. They do Sunday roasts that smell and look amazing, I'm usually leaving when they are putting them out so haven't had one yet. I've also spotted some particularly nice looking cakes along the back of the counter that appear to be homemade. I would recommend this place to others and say it is suitable for all group types.

Lovely staff, yum bacon sarnie, lovely local place and good to have non chain cafe. Haven't yet had their roast but it looks appealing. Service is spot on and pricing perfect. Highly recommend
