Cafe Dales in Blaby

Came across this hidden gem while staying at a nearby pub to visit friends for a night out in Leicester. Can HIGHLY recommend. 5 of us all had different combinations of breakfasts - service amazing & the quality of food was second to none across all plates. Owner and staff all friendly & chatty and from the looks of the menu there was plenty of choice for not just breakfast, but morning coffee & cake and lunches too. Would definitely return on my next trip to Leicester.

Lovely food and drinks, great atmosphere friendly and clean. Pop in after a walk with elderly dad and he loves his poached eggs on toast, perfection! Daughter had an amazing luxury hot chocolate

Whenever I visit, I’m treated with friendliness and courtesy, even if I’ve been absent for a long while since my previous visit. During the pandemic it almost became a home from home for me, and I have enjoyed many friendly chats with both staff and owner, who also deliver tasty food and coffee at very reasonable prices. The level of service can’t be faulted and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this café to anyone visiting the area.

We visited Dale's today, had a delicious lunch, staff friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere lovely outdoor space dog friendly. We now have it as a regular spot for lunch or a drink and cake. Would highly recommend

We asked Cafe Dales if we could hire the garden out for a Hen Party for Afternoon Tea. We had the garden area to ourselves with a long table laid out ready for afternoon tea, the floral tea cups, saucers and plates they have are so lovely and really add to the overall experience. The afternoon tea itself was amazing. We had cake stands full of cakes, sandwiches, pastries and scones that were all delicious and we had so much we could all take some home with us. We had a couple of gluten free members in our party which Cafe Dales provided for and they were able to have all the same things as us but all gluten free! We had Hannah and Andy serving us with Andy preparing everything in the kitchen and Hannah serving. They were both amazing and so friendly and welcoming. The Cafe has such a lovely homely, welcoming feel and it was the perfect setting for an intimate family & friends Hen Party. We enjoyed our experience so much that we hired the Cafe out again for Afternoon Tea in November for my Birthday. That time we were on a long table inside the cafe. Again, the service was amazing, food was delicious and the staff were so welcoming. I have visited multiple times since and have a fab experience every time! I have lived near Cafe Dales for years, I thought it was just a small sandwich counter shop for takeaway; I was so wrong! Cafe Dales is a gorgeous family run Cafe, the inside is beautifully designed with pretty painted wooden tables and chairs. There is a large garden out the back, it has tables and chairs on the grass in the sun, or alternatively there is under covered seating for shade or if it’s rainy. Dogs are welcome in the garden, and also welcome to sit inside the cafe but only if the cafe is not busy (some people are afraid of dogs so this is very thoughtful of the staff). There is dog bowls and a tap in the garden so dogs and have a nice drink of water. There is a small clean bathroom available at the back of the cafe for customers. The Cafe offers a big choice of hot drinks and really nice coffees, including iced coffee which is great when it’s sunny. They have a nice menu with breakfast sandwiches, toasties, paninis & salads. I have not tried any yet, but there is always a selection of delicious looking cakes and cookies available. I take my french bulldog to Cafe Dales regularly now because it is so lovely. He gets very excited when he realises we are going to the cafe as the waitresses always give him lots of snacks and cuddles. He loves it so much he doesn’t want to leave!

Excellent buffet food prepared by the café. A warm welcome as I picked it up . The food was fresh & homemade. Lovely to be serving that rather than food from a chain store ! Thank you all.

Had an afternoon tea from Dales today. This was an alternative for my partners birthday as our original plans were cancelled due to lockdown 2! What a great choice - my partner had a nice surprise and enjoyed everything. Great customer service over the phone and when delivered to our home. Thank you all at Cafe Dales.

We stopped in Dales for a breakfast on a Saturday morning, nothing was to much trouble for the staff the food was great and my breakfast was not on the menu but they let me build my own, Great food great staff AAA+++++

First of all I live in the next village to this Cafe Deli & I'm not bigging this up because of this, I'm just stating the truth. And truth is it's a lovely cafe with friendly staff (nothing is too much trouble for them) delicious well presented food, a lovely interior with comfy seats, cushions & a cosy ambience along with a long outside garden with rattan furniture & more comfy ambient seating. It's not a restaurant so don't expect full meals. But you can expect & get delicious toasties with continental flavours such as bacon & brie with vibrant salads, fully laden breakfast muffins, hot filled rolls, extraordinary large & tasty slices of homemade cakes such as chocolate brownie fudge cake, lemon drizzle sponge, walnut & coffee etc all at reasonable prices. If that's not enough to make you want to check this out they also sell gorgeous coffee too. There's many more cafes around where I live & many more in Leicestershire and the UK but this has to be the most cosiest,most relaxing, most friendliest, most sumptuous coffee & hot food Deli Cafe you may ever find yourself in. So go visit If you want further proof, ask yourself this. Why would myself & my wife, who like fine food & good holidays including fine cruises which you all know from my reviews, keep going back to this Deli for breakfast,for coffee & a cake or just for a beautiful coffee. The answer is simple, the ambience, friendliness of staff,the food & coffee is as good as any boutique hotel or cruise we've been on.

If you like your coffee then look further, Cafe Dales has one of the best tasting coffees I have ever tasted. The coffee and the service as Cafe Dales gets the double thumbs up from me 👍👍

Pre-ordered food by phone, with a friendly and helpful member of staff. All was ready for pick up at the time requested. One of the best tuna salad sandwiches I have ever tasted! Daughter loved her ham and cheese panini too. Thanks and will be back soon.

My mum and I were walking through Narborough, and discovered this little gem by accident. A lady was coming out of the cafe with coffees. We both love coffee, and asked the lady how her coffees were. She said the coffee was amazing, and to give them a try. The coffee was really nice, and staff so friendly and welcoming. There are dairy free alternatives, and I had an oat milk cappuccino. The coffee is really cheap. This was the first visit. On the Friday, we decided to drop in for a coffee and some breakfast as a treat. The cafe is small, but very cute and quaint. There are the necessary safety measures in place, and it's spotless! The staff are so bright and bubbly. We waited outside in the sunshine after we had ordered. They also allowed us take out one of their magazines to read whilst we were waiting. One of the staff brought out our coffees straight away. Another man came to join us, and said the cafe had opened last year and that there was a small garden at the back which you can gain access to via a door on the main street. He explained the owner is so so friendly, and allows dogs in the garden. He places water bowls and also leaves dog treats. The cheese and onion panini was so delicious, and wrapped very well. We also ordered a cake, which was to die for! I am really happy they also offer vegetarian options. On the paper bag was a small handwritten note saying "Stay Safe, from Cafe Dales". I thought this was a beautiful extra touch, and very sweet. We decided to have our breakfast on the local park, which is around 3 minutes away, and relax in the sunshine away from the hustle and bustle of the main road. I really love this little cafe, and can't wait to experience it when it's fully open. In the meantime, I will enjoy the Takeaway Menu and coffees. I am really glad there is something like this close to where I live. The locals in the village speak very highly of the cafe and staff, and are also very friendly. Thanks again!

Popped in on spec one Sunday morning had bacon sausage eggs on toast wife had bacon poached egg beans on toast two proper pots. Of tea absolutely yummy

We booked a birthday afternoon tea on Sunday afternoon. We had the place to ourselves. The table was laid out ready when we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble. Plenty of food. A really enjoyable afternoon, which I would recommend wholeheartedly.

Stopped in here on chance, it is excellent. Bacon & Sausages of the highest quality. Proprietor is extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

This new cafe is well worth visiting. The coffee is wonderful and can be accompanied by all sorts of goodies. The bread and scones are from Hambleton bakery. The bacon rolls are amazing! All accompanied by friendly service!
