Cafe Circa is hands down the best cafe in the west of Glasgow. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with warm smiles and friendly faces. The food is absolutely delicious - every dish is cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty breakfast, a light lunch, or a sweet treat, Cafe Circa has something for everyone. What truly sets this cafe apart is the family-run aspect. You can tell that every dish is made with love and care, and the staff goes above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful experience. I can't recommend Cafe Circa enough. Best Scottish breakfast in Glasgow’s West End! Whether meat, vegetarian or vegan, the cooked breakfasts in this family-run West End institution are legendary. Very generous portions, quality produce, and the family who run it are just so warm and welcoming. With the walls of this cafe covered in their family photos over the generations, this place makes you feel so welcome. We have been coming to Cafe Circa for years. It is always busy, always full of children - and dogs! They are totally dog friendly!

Lived in the area for years and never tried, quite discreet place. First time trying today with my boyfriend and it was great. Both our dishes were lovely and really reasonable prices. Service was really prompt. Didn't book but managed to get a table despite it being busy. Tables outside were being used as it was a sunny day so that probably helped us with availability. Would recommend for a nice chilled brunch - all the pictures inside look great too. Think they also had lots of cakes but didn't sample any today!

Came here for brunch on a sunny day so was nice to be able to sit outside. The food is of a good standard at a decent price too. It seemed to be a nice family run business with friendly helpful staff. The term no thrills come to mind with basic seating, cutlery etc however that suited us as we just wanted a quick bite to eat. The cups were a bit dirty, but apart from this I would return again

Looked a lovely little cafe however our experience was far from great. The cafe wasn't very clean inside :( The floors were dirty and cutlery and coffee saucer to! We were 40 minutes before they took a food order then we waited the same again to get food. We had 4 children with us and the younger two were 1 and 4. We were told around 25 minutes after ordering they had no soup for my 1 year old....not ideal when we had ordered a while before and she was hungry. The haggis was brittle it was so overcooked and the bacon and sausages barely cooked at all so my son couldnt eat it. I wasn't going to leave a review however after we paid our bill I expressed our concerns quietly to avoid other diners hearing and the lady didnt seem bothered at all. We were so disappointed on the overall service, waiting time and quality of the food for the price. They were maybe having an off day however the didn't seem concerned about the lack of service and standard of food being served to people.

Following recommendations from Nextdoor members we have visited this cafe twice. I like it as I can order scrambled egg, streaky bacon, Irish pork sausage and good sourdough bread with a good coffee. It’s a basic cafe but the service is good, the food is good and the prices are reasonable. I have simple tastes and do not need the smashed avocado and Nduja sausage beloved of the hipster cafes. Second visit not quite as good as the first but the cafe was very busy and this may have impacted on service and food a little - but still up my street. I will definitely return.

Popped in here for lunch today and was served by the lovely Lindsay. We asked for her recommendation to which she replied the Kedgeree. We were not disappointed with both the portion size and the value for money @£6-30 The kedgeree was the best I’ve tasted in any restaurant and served with black pudding and a poached egg atop. It truly was delicious. We were seated outside in the September sun and enjoyed the convivial atmosphere of the place aided and abetted by the very pleasant server Lindsay. This was my regular cafe until the girl charged me £5.70 for toast and tomato! I did ask for two slices of brown toast and a sliced uncooked tomato on the side , as it’s not actually on the menu the girl in her wisdom decided to price match it up with something else on the menu? Scrambled eggs was what she priced it at , I fail to see how she arrived at this decision that a single raw tomato should cost me the same price as a plate of scrambled eggs? I have ordered this in many cafes before and generally it’s not on the menu but they charge you for the toast general £1/£1.50 per slice then roughly 50 pence or a £1 which is probably a fair price to pay for a tomato,But what annoyed me more was when I phoned back to ask if this was a mistake as I thought I had paid someone else’s bill, the girl who actually made this mistake wasn’t very pleasant, not a nice attitude, I really thought she would have thought “ oh sorry that’s quite a bit for what you actually had on the plate, considering just the toast is £2 so basically she charged me £3.70 for one uncooked tomato and thought it was ok ? I’ve been eating here for quite a few years now as have many of my friends and family but I’ll definitely won’t be eating here again after this, plenty more cafes in broomhill and surrounding area that don’t treat their customers like that, which is a pity as I’ve always had nothing but praise for this family run business, time for staff training for “some “ of their staff.

The menu had some great choices, we were quite surprised to be honest. Sadly we just bailed out and had a couple of full Scottish breakfasts, we had previously earmarked the decision. The lady who served us was lovely, and the guys in the kitchen were chirpy and jolly too. The breakfast itself was great, it wasnt greasy at all, the egg was runny and everything was hot and super yummy. The cafe is only a wee spot, which I think adds to the experience, it's that little more personal. A nice touch is the abundance of family photographs, large and small spanning what seems to be several generations. We will be back again, and we will venture beyond the classic breakfast.

I went here for brunch with a friend a few weeks ago. He lives locally so is a regular but it was my first time here. I could not decide wether to give this wee gem a 4/5 or a 5/5 and to be honest the only reason it got a 4/5 was because this was my first visit. I am quietly confident that after a second or third visit I will be giving it 5 stars. I had eggs shakshuka and had asked for the eggs to be well done. The dish arrived at its lots of bread which led me to say ‘I’ll never eat all that bread’ but I did - to mop up all the lovely juicy tasty tomatoey sauce that surrounded the eggs. It was just perfect.

No comí una comida en esta ocasión, pero el menú tiene variedad y la comida que se come a mi alrededor se veía bien. Can't fault the breakfast offering always good, but went in for lunch today and was a bit disappointed. Cullen skink was watery and not very flavorful and chunks of potato far too big for my taste. On the whole needed seasoned. Sandwich I had was cheese and onion. Nice and cheesy, could tell it was a decently strong cheddar but the lettuce leaves on it had a fair few black slimey bits and the cucumber didn't seem very fresh.

. . todo excelente.
