Love the ethos of the place. "The staff and volunteers are being trained in invaluable skills and hospitality experience to help them improve their career prospects. Guests are welcomed to make our house their home for the day, sample the menu and meet the wonderful people who are giving back to the community!" The environment is warm and inviting and the staff are super friendly. Prices are very reasonable. I'd gone there, as part of time put aside specifically to sit and reflect on the memory of someone. I wanted somewhere relaxed and unhurried, where I wasn't made to feel I'd overstayed my welcome. It was certainly better than many places in that regard. It transpired that they run their own radio station which was transmitted into the cafe. Great idea for those involved in creating and running that. However, the music wasn't to my taste and was rather loud, so I was unable to relax. Of course some visitors will actively enjoy this aspect. I wanted to point it out because it may possibly affect people's ability to enjoy the place fully, as a cafe and meeting place. I would have struggled to have a tranquil conversation with someone over coffee. It would be a great place for small groups to have informal meetings but again I think the level of the radio transmission would be unhelpful in that situation. It may be that the radio station isn't transmitting all day, every day. I can only review my own experience there. The place was quite "buzzy" enough to create a warm atmosphere Some very quiet, non abrasive background music would have been perfectly acceptable to me, I just found this to be too invasive. It may be that the benefits to the volunteers in operating the radio station, far outweigh the benefits of maybe getting more customers into the cafe ... and I'm perfectly fine with that. I'm sure the project is all about balance and I wish them every success. If you don't mind loud, fashionable music, then it could be a great little hideaway for you.

Great little cafe very bohemian in still and very comfortable with great food Café CHAOS work with disadvantaged and vulnerable members of the community, providing hospitality and catering experience both in the kitchen and front of house. There are strong underlying principles to the café – it is not just somewhere to come and enjoy a good cup of coffee or freshly baked cake. The staff in the café, are being trained in invaluable skills and hospitality experience to help them improve their career prospects. There are large sofas and free Wi-Fi and parking, so swap your desk for Café CHAOS, sample the menu and meet the wonderful team who are giving back to the community

I've been here many times over the last two years. All I can say is that the menu is very good -- wide-ranging, but not so broad that there are flat spots in the chef's expertise. The prices are excellent, the staff always friendly and helpful. It can sometimes get crowded, so if you're in a group it might be worth booking a table. The decor and everything else is characterful and a bit quirky. Delightful!

Despite the name no chaos but just good beverages and food. Decorated in a curious shappy chic style with lots of interesting items. This organization is helping disadvantaged people back into society by offering them places to serve and work in the kitchen. A worth cause that needs support. Recommended

Fabulous, friendly staff who offered a great service. The food was amazing as I've never had a gluten free meal cooked especially for me when out for dinner. The atmosphere of the place was warm and welcoming. Loved the fact that my food was served so it was piping hot. It's a brilliant place to visit any time of the day. Thanks Chris, you did a marvellous job!

Visited for lunch after shopping in Truro. The food was excellent served by friendly efficient staff in a delightful quirky setting. Bonus is food is really good value, not expensive. It is lovely to find somewhere that supports people with special needs to achieve satisfaction. Many thanks to Eleanor, Carly and Chris.

We booked to come here for our work Xmas night out . I had previously been to an evening meal here in October and recommended it . We were not disappointed. Indeed it exceeded expectations. There were about 35 of us and I understood on the night that due to sickness you were short staffed. Well done to the whole team for pulling out all the stops . We all got served together ,the meal was great with good sized portions and everyone got exactly what we had pre ordered. The atmosphere was lovely and we were so pleased we choose to go there . Having gone to Headland Hotel last year where the service was very poor ,we congratulate your hard work and effort put in to making our evening just great . We wish you well with any future venture and will be recommending the cafe to all our friends . Thank you once again

Cafe CHAOS is part of the larger CHAOS Group, a Cornish charity that supports people with a range of disadvantages. I visited on their first Taste and Discover evening, where two friends and I enjoyed a super menu, prepared and served by young people who are benefiting from the charity, all supported by two chefs, one of whom is a noted celebrity chef. It was a great evening! Capacity attendance, warm, attractive venue, a friendly welcome and introduction to Eleanor, our waitress for the evening, delicious food, reasonable prices, and so rewarding to be part of such a remarkable local initiative. As well as giving the participants valuable experience in catering, front of house, etc, making this a profitable experience meant a chance for them to be paid real wages for their night's work - a huge benefit for people with learning difficulties or other challenging life circumstances. Easily accessible from the main St Austell to Truro road, and free parking.

Whilst having a stroll around Mousehole we came upon the Orange Cafe Bar by chance with it being up a lane just away from the harbour. We did not immediately realise it was a vegan cafe but that was not an issue for us. The staff were warm and friendly, explaining the dishes so that we could make an informed choice. We went for the burger (patty) and cake, both of which were delicious. People often shy away from eating this type of food but on this showing they should give it a go, which saw two diners leave very happy.

I have been here four times now, its become a thing whenever we come to Newquay, tattoo before I go home. The staff are incredibly friendly and always chatting away when you're there. They make you feel like part of the family. It's clean, tidy, always smells so good woth the cakes and coffee, I always feel like I'm home when I go in.

Very good B&B in a very central location. But it is very expensive so 'value for money' comes into question. Very good cooked breakfast served in the mornings but for the money it should provide freshly squeezed orange juice.

We found our way to Freathy Farmhouse Cafe by following a sign from Whitsand Bay. What a lovely find! Very rustic and charming cafe. We sat outside in the sun and enjoyed very generous sandwiches served with delicious salad. Some of us even managed cake! We will definitely return although I understand it is best to check opening times. Ps Loved the decor in the loo!
