We love it here and visit regularly. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food is delicious and well priced

My partner went to get breakfast we had two sandwiches one BLT and the other a breakfast sandwich. Two sandwiches cost £12.90 the bread was caked in butter and the thick horrible bread was so soggy it fell apart. The BLT had no mayonnaise and tasted like warm butter all the other flavours where eliminate due to this. They dont have a menu for a BLT sandwich so you are charged for every item in the butter separately. I would not recommend this place to anyone it's very over priced for melted butter! I would have give 0 stars unfortunately that is not an option! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!

I use cafe Capri as a stop on my walk with my grandson for ice-cream. My grandson is 2 and can eat his own body weight in ice-cream. It is delicious. Best ice-cream I've had. If you go for no other reason, go there for the ice-cream. Did I mention I like ice-cream?

Very good service at reasonable price. The chips were large thumb sized and a nice surprise from the usual dried up expensive ones you find elsewhere. Certainly go here again.

Unfriendly staff and cold atmosphere. Staff wouldnt even let the children sample a spoonful of their ice creams before we spent our money. No atmosphere at all and staff just standing about looking bored. We will go elsewhere next time. 1 star is for the ice cream which was delicious.

The food was completely inedible. We didn't pay (and it wouldn't have been cheap even if we had). The staff begrudgingly accepted it, but we got the impression it happens fairly regularly. Horrible atmosphere also. Avoid - there are many better options in Bexhill.

Lovely cafe. Staff friendly. Very obliging when I requested specialist meal (keto). Went off menu and the burger I had was obviously made by the chef, grilled to perfection. A..ma..zing. Hubby had full carb meal and said that was the best burger he'd had in ages.

I don't know about the food as we decided not to eat after using the toilet. No toilet rolls,no paper towels and absolutely filthy,especially the toilet itself. I complained but, and I can only presume to the person in charge, who was not bothered in the slightest,just said"ok" If their their toilets are like that at 10.30 in the morning,what's the kitchen like. No thanks. I can speak for myself and wouldn't have written this if they seemed atheist alittle bit bothered.

Delicious food, had ham egg and chips and a banana ice cream.

My mother was feeling very ill. We went into CC and asked for some tissues. The owners and the Girls were so kind. They were very attentive and just lovely. The food was amazing and I would definitely recommend. Thank you

Good all day breakfast and Italian feel on the main menu. Delicious various flavours of Italian ice-cream. Waffles available and you can eat inside many tables and few chairs outside weather permitting. 👍🙏🤞🍷

They got my order wrong for 1 take away sandwich. I didn’t notice until I got back to work. I can’t eat egg, so now I’m hungry and £6 down. But I’ve been told by my colleague, who I gave the sandwich to, that it was ok apart from the egg(which I didn’t even want) was badly over cooked. Thanks

Love this place . Relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff. New waffles are great 👍 hope they add sweet and savoury crêpes to the menu in the future.

Lovely food and friendly staff definitely come again

Only went in as nowhere else was open that looked half-decent. Great location. Have to say, great value, the breakfasts were all fine. It is what it is, no-frills, but friendly service, good portion size, and all five of us left happy, and full. Spent £30 for three of us, including drinks, which is pretty good - even more so considering the beach is only just across the road.

You can starve in a seaside resort on a Monday! Since shops and restaurants are open on weekends, most of these stores are closed on Mondays. We were naively looking for a snack bar, a restaurant, something with hot meals. And just as we were about to give up and drive to the neighboring town, we came across this unspectacular-looking café that actually looked like an ice cream parlor. But there was also a menu and actual freshly prepared hot food! And honestly: it was good! A fresh English breakfast, with everything that goes with it, a baked potato with filling and a side salad: very tasty! There was also fish, of course, and burgers and a lot more... The menu also offers extras that you can order for everything. Even the wine was acceptable! And the prices are moderate. It seemed a bit like a family business and everyone was very accommodating. The ambience was functional and not designed for comfort, but that didn't matter. A really positive surprise in this somewhat sleepy town of Bexhill, and an absolute recommendation from us xxxx

Lovely Italian café offering a wide choice of Italian ice creams. Good menu with meals and snacks. Barista coffees. Range of alcoholic beverages. Friendly staff. Tables inside and outside. The place to go for both visitors and locals !

Had a really nice breakfast, good hot food, quick polite service. No atmosphere as was quiet in the morning.

Food was excellent we had two fry ups, 1 jacket potato with toppings coffees & ice cream all of us enjoyed what we had & would definitely return if we are ever in the area again.

A very pleasant café where my friend and I ate a delicious meal, we will certainly come back here when next in Bexhill. We have been here again, it was equally good and as we visit Bexhill quite often will eat here again.

Very nice lunch cheese and mushroom omelette, chips and salad plus a Panini with Salad for my wife. Best value in town! Plus a couple of flat whites. Coconut ice cream as well. Yum.

Looks are deceptive, pleasant surprise. Had the Panini with halloumi and pesto and it was awesome.

Found this place just under a year ago and was contemplating making it my main cafe. The staff are friendly although the owner is INCREDIBLY RUDE. The outside of the premises on many occasions has been a smoking area at which ive smoked on every occasion I’ve been there and even been supplied ash trays. Imagine my confusion and discomfort when a small elderly gentleman rushes out and demands me and my guest to immediately put out our cigarettes and leave the premises, whilst doing so clearing mine and my guests unfinished coffee away all because we were smoking. Bearing in mind there was a gentleman smoking next to us who wasn’t told to leave. And several people throughout the day were smoking. If this is the way he treats paying customers I’d hate to see the way he treats others. A 5’4 man with obvious small man syndrome. Would never return to this place. And I will tell as many people about this as possible!

We visited here on our holiday (family of 4 adults and 1 child). The cafe is lovely and clean ,friendly staff, responsible prices. We liked it so much we returned for a breakfast on our last day. Plenty of room for a mobility scooter and very accessible for disabilities. If we holiday here again we will definitely return.

I had a tuna panini which was delicious and I strongly recommend. The latte was very good too. The staff was very helpful and friendly. There is no table service for ice-cream though which is a minor annoyance.

My Mum and I popped into Cafe Capri on a whim on a rainy day. The entrance door was shut with a table and chairs in front of it, the way into the cafe was through a big open door where customers are usually served ice cream. There was no ice cream in the fridge so it was unclear why this massive door was open on such a nasty rainy day. It meant that inside was really cold. The decor is very tired and old fashioned but that didn’t matter to us too much. There was however food and drink stains up the wall and splattered over the radiator where we sat. We sat and our order was taken, not long after we could smell cigarette smoke really strongly. We moved tables to see if we could avoid it but it got stronger. We asked the lady behind the counter if someone was smoking on the premises but it turned out two men were smoking outside the big open door. She kindly asked them to move on. My Mum’s tea arrived with a bowl of Demerara sugar (?) in crockery which was outdated and shabby. Our chips took ages to arrive, with customers who arrived after us, and who knew the owner, receiving their orders before us (which included chips). The cheesy chips (£4.90) are £2 more than regular chips, it was hard to see why this was as there was not £2 worth of cheese on top. We ate and left, I’m sure in the summer it is busy with people wanting ice cream, but for a cafe with such a prominent spot it was disappointing. Cafe Capri needs to pull itself into being more up to date and welcoming.

Came in here earlier. Ordered quarter pounder and chips. Food nice and tasty. Cooked well. Quick service, and food served quickly. Menu a tad pricey though.

Well News years day 2022, sun was out first nice weather for over a week rather expected to be busy yet this place only had 2 staff on. Coffee and cook. I don't think I have ever seen the cook (maybe owner) give out order booklets for everyone to write down there own orders before,.first for me. I went up to the counter to make my order as I could see would be a while for table service. Ordered for the family, 2 panini's, kids meals Sausage and chips and burger and chips. The panisis are suppose to come with Salad both did not. The burger was a quarter pounder (no cheese or sauce) with not many chips.ans only 1 small sausge with not many chips. Still charged same price for this lack of food! I asked for a jug of tap water while the food was being given to us and was told to go to the counter and ask, only to find an empty counter for 5mins, gave up waiting. Safe to say this place could not handle the volume of people, I could be harsh how ever I doubt I will be going back to to.this place. Note on value, over priced in my opinion. £1.40 for a can of coke yet £1.80 for a glass of juice for my kids shocking and to top is I asked for Orange juice and get presented with Apple juice. When you have 2 young kids and a new born baby in hand you kinda say whatever just give me the food and drink as my kids are tired and grumpy. Great location and so much potential how ever the manager clearly does not care enough to make the extra effort and wants to just make more money for.his own pocket. Oh another note 1 toilet in 1 room, for disabled which is great how ever for the amount of seats it is not enough.

A very airy restaurant with a cosy but light look . There were 3 of us in our party we ordered 2× scampi chips and mashy peas . The other meal was small pieces of cod with batter and chips and mushy peas . And 3 teas . The cod was very nicely cooked with a great freshness taste and a decent portion of Cod . The scampi was hot and very tasty the mushy peas was brilliant too . Well done that chef and the lady serving was very pleasant in her manner will definitely be coming back for more . Thank you

Enjoyed the fish and chips. Cooked freshly for us, very well presented. My parents complained that the portions were too big but they did eat it all! I had no complaint! Maybe it would be a good idea to offer a smaller size as well though. And the ice creams are divine.

Great ice-cream, especially loved the lemon sorbet. Worth a visit if in Bexhill-on-Sea.

Owner is a horrible man who does not treat his staff with respect, i had eaten here and then got a job there and will never ever be going back never going to give that man my money again. staff do not get tips, they go to the owner as he said to me "my business my money" this was the reason i quit. i'm 17 and was the eldest worker there so many others that still work there are still getting absolutely ripped off and because they haven't got the guts to say anything just let it happen.

We came in here as 2 helping another, with bad Parkinson’s, in a wheel chair. Staff very helpful. We had cod and chips and mushy peas all round and it was great value for money, the fish very well battered and the tartar sauce quite excellent. Tea for one in the smallest pot ever but fine. Too full to sample the ice cream by the range looked enormous. A great lunch highly recommended.

Went here recently and found that the some of the staff members were a bit rude, when we got our food it was missing parts of it that were said to be on it in the menu. When we told one of the waiters he didn't say a word or apologize, he just walked off in a grumpy mood. The food was alright but not worth the money, in the end we were given the missing pieces by another waiter who did apologize. Overall it was ok food but the experience with the member of staff means I have to give it two stars. Disappointing!

Lovely little cafe, always stop here to grab one of their Ice Creams. The are so nice and so many flavours to choose from, have to limit going there other wise will end up getting tubby trying them all. Had lunch there and the food was amazing at such a reasonable price. Will definitely continue to be a regular place for us

Love this place. Good ice cream, good snacks. Queues can be long at times and its proximity close to the seafront attracts crowds. Parking is impossible mostly and seating outside limited and unfortunately right on the road, but there is plenty of room inside to shelter from the sun (or rain) or for a larger group.

Initially impressed with quick order taking but after hot drinks were served we waited 30 minutes for a (mediocre) prawn sandwich Tbe toilet was clean but no toilet paper AND no drying facility

Very disappointing! Firstly, they couldn't offer the Government's Eat Out to Help Out Scheme because their Receipt machine wasn't working! We were having lunch. We waited over 30 minutes. Spaghetti Bolognese was actually Linguine, Cheese & Pickle Sandwich on Granary, came as Cheese & Tomato on white, 2 burgers without salad, came with salad and with one burnt burger bun and scampi and chips was very over cooked and dry (and most of the hot food was just warm) The two young ladies serving, were trying their best with little or no people skills, but we will excuse them based on their employer! A very unprofessional man with zero personality or people skills and whom told us we couldn't use his toilets as he had a workman inside for at least 10 minutes! Miss the old place, that's for sure. Most worrying.. popped back about an hour later reluctantly as the children wanted ice cream. Each scoop was a different size and most concerning for those with allergies etc, the same scoop was used for every flavour without cleaning in between! The manager then came and asked me if I wanted to use his toilet, an hour or so after we needed it! Such a shame.

Classic Italian Caffe and gelateria just across from the de la warr Pavilion. Friendly unfussy service with a smile. As good a reason to move to Bexhill as the modernist pavilion across the road. Very stylish interior with vintage bent metal chairs. Clean and cheerful

Well, well, well. Absolute shocking service, dire food (served cold) and as for the staff? You pay peanuts you get monkeys. Avoid for your own sakes.

Unfortunately I would not recommend this cafe. It was a disappointment from the start. The coffee was weak and my boyfriend’s scrambled egg was cold, I told the waitress and she just said “was it”! We had a young waiter who served us and he was pretty clueless. The list is literally endless... Don’t try and find the toilets either, as you will be ‘groping’ in the dark! I was hoping the older guy would ask how everything was, he didn’t, do the paid and made a swift exit. It’s a shame as it could be a great cafe, cafe if they worked on their, food, drinks and customer service! I’m afraid they’re clueless, with no common sense! And yes, this is the future generation, god help us!

Sad to leave a negative review as we have been customers at the ice cream parlour since moving to Bexhill in 2013 (previously owned by a different family). We ordered 4 ice creams today and 2 of the children chose Maltesers (which they have had before and enjoyed) but it was very grainy and had a very strange aftertaste. I took this back to the older man behind the counter and quietly and politely reported it to him and asked, if possible, if we could change them. He refused this and while he gave us a refund (which I didn’t ask for) refused for us to buy 2 more ice creams. 2 sad children and lost customers, we went to the hut across the road which had a good selection and friendly staff. Customer service goes a long way.
