Great little cafe, with some gluten free cakes too (and not just the usual brownie). Plenty of dairy alternatives available. Portions are generous and the stuff was friendly and welcoming. I would come back again.

A lovely environment to work, read, sit and relax. The pot of tea is generously sized and the cakes on offer are too good to choose. I had a caramel flapjack and it was perfection. Plenty of space either on the ground floor or upstairs. Great cafe and friendly staff.

WE LOVE: lovely/welcoming staff, the food (although please bring back the veg crisps not the run of the mill ones you now serve with a sarnie), the coffee & your cakes. WE HATE: the toilet! PLEASE PLEASE do a deep clean - it’s awful. The cafe does need a good clean - floors/corners - it’s looking grubby & tiered and does not reflect your wonderful staff/food

We've had cakes from here in the past but never had anything to eat. Visited on what was a very busy Saturday lunchtime. The cafe was heaving. Ordered at the counter, greeted warmly, ordered, paid, and took a seat. Drinks came after, about 5 minutes, which was absolutely fine as they were very busy. Sandwiches arrived shortly afterwards. Sandwiches lovely, service great and personable staff. I personally couldn't fault it.

Just paused on recommendation from lady in charity shop round the corner; Had truly delicious hot chocolate; VERY dark and with OAT milk. Also very good homebake raspberry & white choc flapjack. I came in with my husband last week and we had a hot drink each and a Biscoff Brownie. I have had their food before and it was good. Yet on this occasion the brownie was so hard it actually cut the back of my throat eating it and it made it bleed. I HAD HAD A RECENT OPERATION AND A BLEED WAS VERY DANGEROUS. My husband came upstairs to check on me and when he went back all our drinks were removed from the table despite only being partially drunk. All in all a very disappointing visit. They need to check the freshness the brownies because it was very unpleasant to eat and they should not be serving them like this. It was such a shame as it was supposed to be a nice treat after my operation and I chose this cafe. Instead I have spent the last week recovering from the bleed. This would have been preventable if the brownie had been fresh.

Charming privately owned spot with delicious hot chocolate and sweets. We tried all the bars and found them unique and also dependably chewy and grainy. Like granola with various toppings. The signature hot chocolate with orange was really sweet - recommend a child help you eat it! The owner and the young people working alongside him were welcoming and diligent about clearing tables. We were part of a rush, I think, and still the vibe was graciousness and happiness behind the counter. Free WiFi. Restroom upstairs. People brought their dogs in, and children guests clearly know the drill here. The locals were hanging about having tea and a chat. It was nice to see. We took some dessert bars home so we could continue the memory of this delightful spot from the comfort of our Bnb.

Nice café for chocolate lovers but I expected more. I ordered a chocolate delight but I thought that was chocolate with different flavours. I wanted to try white and dark chocolate as well, unfortunately it was only milk chocolate. The chocolate cake was amazing but the rest extremely sweet. Stopped off here to get a hot drink on a freezing walk around Tewksbury, so where better to get one than at a chocolate shop. Bought the indulgent Luxury Belgian Hot Chocolate, combined with a chocolate fudge slice and a cinnamon swirl. The hot chocolate was delectable and velvety but became very sickly with the adornments. It needed more fluid to cope with it, but we managed to drink it all. Next time we will just have a normal hot chocolate. The fudge cake was massively rich, just like it should be and the cinnamon roll was buttery and a good hint of spice. A chocoholics dream cafe.

I like to support independent coffee shops but to go to this place and merely have a coffee is ignoring the name. Would you go to a steak restaurant for a jacket potato? So to put the name to the test I ordered their signature hot chocolate, after ensuring it wasn't merely made with powder and water. I was delighted with the presentation and the accompaniments; a whisk to keep my hot chocolate nicely mixed, a perfect amount of whipped cream, marshmallows, chocolate shavings and a solid chocolate spoon (which I admit never even made it to the glass - I just ate it). I can only call this a creation; care and thought went into this menu item and I would be delighted to order it again. And excellent value in my opinion. As for the café itself, it was a comfortable experience and the sandwich was very nice. Next door to the café is the sister chocolate shop so you can indulge yourself even further.

The brownies here are superb, the service friendly and the hot drinks are a good size. I would say thought that the toilet could really do with a good deep clean and a lick of paint and the changing mat 100% needs replaced (perhaps a pull down plastic one for hygiene?). It’s quite a squish downstairs when queuing/people trying to get past and with dogs barking but not sure what you could do short of making the counter space narrower. All in good will be back!

I have had nothing but good dinning at the Manor and the atmosphere is a lot calmer being off the more trodden path. As the summer flowers finish at the end of summer the autumn show of fungi is just starting. And as the Cotswolds have some really old woodlands they also have a very varied display of fungi. This recent deluge of rain hails a good show. Don't leave it too long or the restaurateurs will have beaten you you it and there will be nothing to photograph. We called here for luncheon after a long morning. It was the 3rd day of sunshine in a row so we chose a table on the terrace without shade near enough to the wisteria to catch its scent on the breeze all afternoon. The food was impeccable and the staff were polite, friendly and engaging. We didn't stay overnight so can't comment on the rooms, but the manor house is a well kept example of the local architecture and the decor is well kept. The gardens look amazing especially with all the rain this spring, the gardeners have been very busy. The formal gardens lead upto a nice walk in a natural broadleaf woodland up the hill with some beautiful views of the surrounding area. I highly recommend you visit but book in advance as it is obviously very busy. A nice way to treat yourself

On street parking reasonably close by, very dogfriendly, with a great and varied menu which suited my vegetarian partner. We both had the all day breakfast, mine meaty and my partner’s veggie, which was not just fantastically cooked in the oven, but very reasonably priced with large portions…we were going to have one of the many lovely specials as a dessert but were simply too full. The decor and theme were interesting, the music was a reasonable volume and entirely to our liking (jazz), and the service was friendly and spot on. I cannot recommend this place too much. Our only disappointment was that we discovered it on the last day of our holiday, if we come back to Tewky, we will definitely return to this wonderful café.
