We were there for the morning with our granddaughter and she wanted an ice cream We had a coffee each There was nothing to fault with the cafe It was clean and spacious and the staff were attentive The coffees were fine and the ice cream was enjoyed It was approaching lunch time but having checked the menu we decided to move on to a different cafe This one was quite expensive for food We will definitely return to Kirkleatham Hall but next time we will bring a picnic I have given a four star rating only because of the price of the food Please do not take this review as a reflection of the food itself as we did not have any

Literally one year to the day we revisited the Cafe at Kirkleatham and pleased to say the food is as good as ever and the service just as friendly! Kids meals went down a treat, staff accommodated my wife by making her a tuna melt panini without onions and I had a delicious steak and caramelised onion baguette, the steak strips were cooked perfectly, medium rare and juicy. The added homemade honey and mustard sauce was great as well. Chips just as delicious as last time too! My wife got the last Naked Brownie so I had to settle for the slightly more expensive Loaded Brownie (topped with chocolate icing, sugar strands and a Cadbury Flake - i'm not complaining!) We will be back (hopefully won't leave it a year this time!)

My wife and I called in for a quick bite on a hot summer lunchtime. As we expected the place was packed with quite a long queue. The server told us that there would be quite a long wait for the food, which we expected . The coffees arrived reasonably quickly and eventually the food. We weren’t in a hurry and the wait suited us, a chance to talk to friends and acquaintances who were also there. The food was good and the service impeccable.

Called in as a family around 1pm. It was fairly busy but there were still spare seats. Husband stood in the queue maybe 10 mins or so to order food which was parmo loaded fries, sausage and egg sandwich, cup of tea and a kids pancakes with Nutella, caramelised banana and ice cream. The tea came out after 10 mins or so and a little while later a cashier came out to find us as she had overcharged us £5 (good job we hadn’t left), I’m glad she did but on the other hand it shouldn’t have happened. So after the tea arrived we sat around 50 minutes before the food arrived! We were all really restless at this point and conscious that we wanted to be back for a display at the owl centre for 2.30 (which we made with about 5 mins to spare). On top of this, the bananas weren’t caramelised they were just fresh bananas and we had to ask for the ice cream (that we paid extra for) as it was missing. This place is quite pricey for a cafe too.

Called in for a cuppa tea, after visiting the cemetery. Not been a customer here since this new cafe took over. Had a tuna melt toastie with chips. It was delicious. It's also good to know that its dog friendly too, next time i can bring my dogs. We will definitely be back

On a visit to the 100 years of fashion exhibition at Kirkleatham Museum with a group of 6 ladies we were let down last minute for afternoon tea by another local business. I rang and spoke to Molly and Rachel on the morning and asked if they could fit us in for afternoon tea that same day, it was also half term! They were brilliant and were able to accommodate us last minute! The afternoon tea was delicious and every member of staff couldn’t do enough for us. This level of customer service is rare to find these days and the staff here are an absolute credit! Will definitely be my go to place from now on. Well done everyone and thanks again.

Recently visited this little bistro The service was very good and the food was well presented and excellent, the only reason it's not 5 stars is the draught beer was off so I had to have a bottle and also asked for a glass of malbec off the menu and there wasn't any, but would definitely visit again, so if your thinking of visiting please do .
