My wife and I called in for a quick bite on a hot summer lunchtime. As we expected the place was packed with quite a long queue. The server told us that there would be quite a long wait for the food, which we expected . The coffees arrived reasonably quickly and eventually the food. We weren’t in a hurry and the wait suited us, a chance to talk to friends and acquaintances who were also there. The food was good and the service impeccable.

Called in as a family around 1pm. It was fairly busy but there were still spare seats. Husband stood in the queue maybe 10 mins or so to order food which was parmo loaded fries, sausage and egg sandwich, cup of tea and a kids pancakes with Nutella, caramelised banana and ice cream. The tea came out after 10 mins or so and a little while later a cashier came out to find us as she had overcharged us £5 (good job we hadn’t left), I’m glad she did but on the other hand it shouldn’t have happened. So after the tea arrived we sat around 50 minutes before the food arrived! We were all really restless at this point and conscious that we wanted to be back for a display at the owl centre for 2.30 (which we made with about 5 mins to spare). On top of this, the bananas weren’t caramelised they were just fresh bananas and we had to ask for the ice cream (that we paid extra for) as it was missing. This place is quite pricey for a cafe too.

Called in for a cuppa tea, after visiting the cemetery. Not been a customer here since this new cafe took over. Had a tuna melt toastie with chips. It was delicious. It's also good to know that its dog friendly too, next time i can bring my dogs. We will definitely be back

On a visit to the 100 years of fashion exhibition at Kirkleatham Museum with a group of 6 ladies we were let down last minute for afternoon tea by another local business. I rang and spoke to Molly and Rachel on the morning and asked if they could fit us in for afternoon tea that same day, it was also half term! They were brilliant and were able to accommodate us last minute! The afternoon tea was delicious and every member of staff couldn’t do enough for us. This level of customer service is rare to find these days and the staff here are an absolute credit! Will definitely be my go to place from now on. Well done everyone and thanks again.

I had the home made lasagne and it was beautiful, all prepared from scratch and it tasted divine. My Sister had the corned beef pie and it was delicious, great portions for a great price.
