Had such a good experience of this cafe. We turned up for breakfast and were well and quickly accommodated. Two of my friends had coffees which they enjoyed and another friend and myself had breakfast sandwiches and hot chocolates. All delicious. It was such a lovely trip and exactly what you want from a cafe.

Visited yesterday as we had to go to Malton hospital . The food was average for a small cafe with very few tables but the jacket potatoes were too expensive.

One of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a long time...local produce tastes fresh and beautiful and very reasonably priced, the staff are lovely and pleasant, will definitely be calling again.

Only just discovered this smashing little cafe after living here for over two years. Opposite Morrisons but it beats Morrison’s cafe hands down. Freshly prepared food, beautifully presented and the china cup and saucer was the cherry on the cake. Love this cafe and will definitely go again!

Great service, fine food and drinks. Friendly and efficient staff. Highly recommended! Attended Cafe 53 on many, many occasions and have never been let down. Their customers just keep coming back (so will I), which evidences they are good!

The café was about half full when we arrived, you can park in Morrisons for three hours free of charge so there is time to buy something from the supermarket and look round the shops in Malton. My partner choose the sausage and Yorkshire pudding, however it was very bland and not a good choice. Service was ok, as was my dish - however on reflection we wished we had looked round the town more as there is so many places to choose and although it was ok, we would choose another venue next time. We probably would have been better to have chosen the chocolate cake our mistake!

Regularly visit Cafe 53, last time was today. Often take a client and we have a tea or coffee and maybe a small snack. The welcome is always genuine, warm and friendly. The food and drinks to a high standard but sensibly priced. Always clean and presentable. What more can you ask for? Worth mentioning the loyalty card if you're a regular. After buying ten teas or coffees you get a free one. I will continue to take my clients to Cafe 53 whenever the opportunity presents itself.

What an experience! Firstly, this is the cheapest place for breakfast that I came across (from several options) being around a third cheaper. The quality was still first class, though, with the breakfast being amazing. The service was so welcoming and friendly, too! To add to all that, the decor is great. What's not to love? All these 5* reviews are spot on the mark!

Can't fault this beautiful little cafe. We stopped here by chance to break up a long journey and I'm so glad we did! I had an all day breakfast, which was fresh and perfectly cooked. Including tea or coffee in the price was a welcome treat. My daughter chose beans on toast from the kids menu and they were very accommodating with her request for buttered bread instead of toast! Her kids meal was just £3 and came with a drink and a cake! As well as lovely food (and a proper cup of tea in a china cup!) the service was so welcoming; old school charm in the very best sense of the word. If you're looking for a simple but delightful menu, everything home cooked and served with a smile, then look no further!

I own a local driving school and often with intensive course students or before a driving test(to relax pupils) we visit Cafe 53. Always, we are given a friendly welcome by the owner Janet and her staff and the quality of service, food and soft drinks (hot or cold) is always good quality.

We first visited here a few years ago when moving to the area. It was a day before my marathon and the owner very kindly gave me an extra large slice of cake as incentive to finish the race! It definitely helped.

Cafe 53 is a very clean and smart cafe. There is a relatively simple menu of breakfast options and the usual array of sandwiches, tea cakes and the like. They also do home made soup, quiche and other snacks (even Staffordshire oatcakes) and a hot special of the day. There are also some delicious looking cakes.

If you are Malton needing somewhere to eat or for just getting a snack then Cafe 53 is for you. The food is delicious and the home cakes are devine (I recommend the chocolate!). A great place to eat!

Decent choice of food available however we ordered pie mash Mushy peas and gravy. Only had 1 pie (so got a pasty as there was 2 of us) Mash was made from a jacket potato it was very lumpy tinned peas over blasted in the microwave served with a smile however forgot the gravy and it arrived half way through us eating the meal. Sadly this place could be a little gold mine if run correctly and proper attention to detail applied with the food. We hafmd our lunch at 12.15 so there was no way they could have ran out of mash? Could do better really

Booked the brewery tour package from Red Letter days. The tour was very informative with Josh being a fountain of knowledge and obviously loving brewing and beer. His witty remarks and low key humour really made the tour enjoyable. The beer tasting in the bar was flexible and offered a pint taken eith as a pint, two halves or a flight of 3, third pints to enable a range to be tried! Although a small brewery they have some quite advanced mechanisation for bottling, canning and casking! Very impressed,

A lovely friendly bakery, just one wee table to sit and and have a coffee and observe the comings and goings of the regulars, the holiday makers and day trippers. Bread and cakes wonderful, a lovely lady owns this place and I wish her well!

Really friendly and tasty fare. Plenty of choice which was a real representation of good Yorkshire fare. Reasonably priced too
