Cafe 14 in Cardiff

What a lovely surprise we found it on our last day of visiting our daughter in hospital,lovely and clean great disability access we sat inside but there's plenty of outdoor sitting area,we got served by a lovely girl great customer service she made the best mocha lol we will definitely recommend .

Ayer nos topamos con este Café en los terrenos del UHW. Encontramos toda la experiencia relajada y agradable. El Gerente incluso se tomó un tiempo para charlar un poco, a pesar de que tenía puesta su máscara, lo que debió ser incómodo para él. El café era delicioso al igual que la tostada y las patatas fritas con queso son imprescindibles. Estos fueron traídos a nuestra mesa por una señora muy agradable. El precio también era muy razonable, ¡sin duda volveremos! !

Mi esposa y yo decidimos probar el Café 14 para el almuerzo, en lugar del Concourse. Pedimos una bagette BLT y un sándwich de queso tostado y una taza de té para dos. La camarera solo trajo una olla para uno, por suerte había solo una taza para cada uno. Tuvimos que esperar 30 minutos para nuestra comida. Mi esposa dijo que el sándwich de queso tostado sabía como si hubieran usado pan barato. Mi bagette BLT no estaba tan mal, el tocino podría haber estado más caliente y no había mucho tomate. Para cuando llegó la comida, el té estaba frío. En el futuro no nos sentiremos cómodos con el Concourse, pero la comida está caliente y se sirve rápidamente. Lástima que hubiera sido bastante bueno con un poco más de reflexión.

Obtienes lo que pagas en última instancia y realmente lo entiendo, y es muy cierto aquí en este café. El café fue muy agradable para ser honesto y el barista fue muy amable y hablador, incluso ofreció una recomendación del menú de comida. Sin embargo, la velocidad de la comida que se prepara deja mucho que desear. El chef es posiblemente el hombre más miserable más enojado del mundo, desafortunadamente, es así con el personal y los clientes. Tal vez perdió su pasión por la comida hace mucho tiempo y esto se debe a su falta de "amor" puesto en su comida y la lentitud del servicio que se está prestando. Lo recomendaría. . . . . . Hmmmmm, en verdad, sí, para un café, no para la comida, a menos que tengas mucho tiempo para matar y esperar.

We came here during a break from manual handling training and the late I had was smooth and mild. Very nice and would recommend it. Shame it was packed during our lunch break as we were going to have a toastie

Popped along to have a cuppa here while waiting for hospital appointment. It has been tastefully refurbished since my last visit & is now a very pleasant area to sit. I was delighted by selection of cakes to go with a nice cup of coffee & I'll happily visit next time.

Been enjoying coming here for a lovely coffee in their new cafe after session in the gym and pool. On Friday it was very busy everyone was enjoying the outside area!

Excellent quiz last night with 7 teams and prize money of £100. Not won and going up to £110 next week Beer reasonably priced £3.90 for Grolsch and the superb range of Gins and tonics are a treat to try and get through the lot

Lovely atmosphere and family friendly, cakes are amazing especially the Lemon Drizzle.!! Staff are very friendly. My daughter keeps asking to go back as swimming pool across the way. Nice place also for working as can charge laptops and have WiFi.

Best coffee in Cardiff amazinggg staff are always friendly and accommodating and the cakes are lovely well worth a visit

My colleagues and I have enjoyed coming at lunchtime for quite some time. We were slightly disappointed that the room we normally sit in was closed for 5 or so weeks however, it has been transformed into a new, very comfortable designated Cafe area sperate from the rest of the bar. The room is such a transformation from what it previously was. They have such lovely cakes and really nice (cheaper than the concourse) coffee. Well worth a visit just to see the transformation.

Welcome to Cafe 14 where the customer is always wrong! Feeling like putting a downer on your day? Ever wondered what an absolute dive looks like? Well then come on down and feast your eyes on our menu your nan could cook up better with her eyes closed. We may not have a rank 0 hygiene rating anymore, but fear not! Our food still tastes like we cooked it on a car bonnet. Burgers so thin and dry you'll wonder if you're actually eating a slice of hoof. Never mind cheap and cheerful, how about cheap and choke on bread that's so chewy you'll get lockjaw. Got the wrong order? Not our problem! Cos it all costs under a fiver anyway so who cares right? No plates? No problem. We serve half our meals in doggy boxes as standard. Coming as a group? Then you can enjoy watching each one of you take turns eating with our completely random service times. We're always happy to listen to our customers complaints since we know we'll never see any of you idiots ever again. The UHW is such a cash cow for us we haven't had to change anything since the 80s. Don't forget to try our selection of beers pumped through pipes that taste like they haven't been cleaned in years. The regulars seem to like the taste of a dirty penny, so why bother right? We'll amaze you with how little we care about your experience here. So come on down and waste some money, because you're one of a million who'll make the mistake of eating here.
