My partner and myself visited this lovely little cafe last Tuesday, we received a lovely warm welcome and the staff were very friendly. We both decided to have the ham, egg and chips with bread and butter and it was absolutely delicious with home cooked thick cut ham and proper chips! Which is a rare thing to find these days. Great service. Fab prices. Friendly staff, freshly prepared food. What's not to like? I ordered a breakfast and it was all delicious. Good quality food (bacon was generously sliced thick - not the cheap stuff you cud spit through!), great portion sizes and toast served fully buttered (none of that crappy little pre packed freezing cold speck of butter! that is a disappointment from start to finish and doesn't spread).Great cuppa, so nice I ordered two! Going back tomorrow, I liked it so much

It has been ages since we were last able to visit, but although the interior had had a facelift, the same great service and lunch were provided. Word seems to have got arou d because we struggled to get a table, but managed it eventually. We had the special which was ham, egg and chips. The ham was excellent and a very generous portion. One customer asked for a takeaway box for his lunch which he could not finish. It was quickly supplied by Liz. Yet another great visit, so good to be back.

Thank you for such a lovely meal at lunchtime today (30/10). My Daughter & I ordered plain burgers with all the trimmings (chips/salad/coleslaw) & my Husband wanted soup, which unfortunately wasn't available & instead he was offered Welsh stew. Everything was very tasty & hot, which was great & prices were very reasonable (quite cheap if I'm honest). Husband said he was glad soup wasn't available, as the stew was very tasty. We had gone into another restaurant (which was going to be half hour wait for food), so we left & really glad we found this little place. Very nice decor & great music. Highly recommended & we would definitely visit again if in the area.. thank you to you

I visited this charming little cafe a few days ago and boy was I glad I did. I was greeted by a young lady at the desk and we ordered straight away as we knew by reading the menu on the door before coming in which is convenient.Me and the wife both had burger and chips and my 2 boys had breakfasts. It came out pretty quick considering they make home made chips, I saw on here people raving about the chips and yes they were very nice but that burger was to die for! We then went on to have a lovely chat with the owner and her granddaughters about the memorabilia on the walls, what a great place! I will definitely be returning next time we’re in the area.

I wouldn't know where to begin with this place and to be clear, I don't write bad reviews very often as I always want places to do well and thrive. However...however, this place was diabolical. The food was awful. Took an age to arrive despite us being the only ones in the cafe during high season at lunchtime, itself a slight giveaway. An evidently microwave-cooked baked potato (really?) and a salad destroyed with masses of raw onion. I asked for water and received a glass of tap water...laughable. They only accept cash...sorry, but that is a bit of a giveaway too and the decor despite multiple publicised proclamations about various local awards was dreadful kitsch. There was shouting across the room in a Welsh dialogue which is OK as it is, after all, Wales, but shouting across your table as you push the awful food around your plate? We didnt finish and left, over £11 worse off for food not worth a third of that. Perhaps if the vinyl table covering wasn't sticky things might have been better.

We walked in from the rain to a cafe cosy and picture perfect with its twinkling white lights and paper garlands. There's a knowing 60s vibe with vinyl singles and album covers dotting the cream-painted tongue & groove walls, and the china cups and saucers were stacked on shelves with jaunty red and white paper liners. Retro, certainly, but definitely not tired. Everything was as pristine as a pin-in-paper. No miasma of grease or smells of tired food. This place was CLEAN! Our eggs and chips and bread and butter and mugs of tea were all piping hot and perfectly prepared, and the service was friendly and swift. I came out feeling that of its kind it was a perfect experience, and that the day had just got better.

Hubby and I went here for lunch after looking around the Wednesday market. The Cafe was tiny inside with half a dozen tables and cramped seating. We managed to squeeze in by the door entrance/exit. I went to the counter to order. I had to wait a while and then a lady took my order. She wasn't rude but she wasn't really welcoming. The bill came to £12.60 (they only accept cash - no card payments). We waited a while to be served - even for the 2 mugs of tea. Hubby said he generally enjoyed his meal of 2 standard sausages, a decent portion of chips (even though they didn't taste home-made) and a fried egg. I had 2 slices of crispy salty bacon, chips and egg. The salt, vinegar and brown sauce were in the form of sachets in baskets on the counter. I asked for tomato ketchup but she said they didn't have any!

I read about Cabin Cafe on TripAdvisor and was keen to sample it's delights. From the outside it could be any nondescript tea shop/greasy spoon but inside, it's a bijou 50s/60s music themed diner. The walls are adorned with memorabilia and vintage LP covers and the soundtrack is of course music from this era.Despite the bold visual theme, everything else is quite 'normal', relaxed and casual. The menu is standard cafe favourites (breakfasts, sandwiches, burgers, jackets etc) - all at regular cafe prices. Thankfully, there are no silly music-inspired named burgers and the staff aren't dressed up in 50's mini skirts! Quite the opposite really! The lady owner has a very down-to-earth, no nonsense quality and lit up when I mentioned that I discovered the cafe on TripAdvisor. We had a good chat about music and laughed at our different musical tastes (60s vs 80s)!!On display is a rather wonderful scale model of the cafe which was made by a customer using bits and pieces found on the beach. Pictures of this model are here on TripAdvisor. Prior to seeing the model, I assumed the images were computer generated! The cafe is spotlessly clean. Travelling from Anglesey to n after gallery a few miles beyond Pwllheli, as we enjoy a cooked breakfast on a day out we stopped in Pwllheli to find somewhere to eat. I found a 90 minute free parking at Lido's and proceeded to find this little gem. On the outside it appears as any cafe would, but inside, quite a different matter. The lady who greeted us was so welcoming, it was a bit like 'going home'. Delicious and inexpensive cooked breakfast, coffee and even a topping up of our drinks we hadn't even asked for or expected, a small thing but it was such a kind gesture to two stranger customers. The cafe seems to be a locals' favourite and passing through through visitors, and all equally welcomed!! It had Viscount peppermint bucuits and flying saucers at 2p each and and other maybe forgotten sweets. Clean, welcoming, freshly cooked, very tasty, and very good quality locally sourced bacon, sausages and free range eggs, but food aside, the friendliness was the all important part of the cabin cafes menu!!!! I will be visited again when we travel on the Llyn Peninsula, that's for sure. We have no hesitation in giving it high marks.

Called at the Cabin Café in Pwllheli whilst stopping off on a train journey whilst exploring North Wales and really pleased I did! It’s a charming little café with a fab 50’s/60’s vibe. The walls are covered with vinyl records of people from that era like Elvis and Cliff and where we sat by the window there was a big black and white poster of the Fab Four. The white panel walls and red and white checked tablecloths really added to that 50’s diner vibe - and I loved the way the condiments were placed in old 7” singles which must have been carefully softened near a warm stove and moulded into little dishes! But what of the food!? Well, we were only in for elevenses’ if you like! And opted for a simple bacon sandwich! So why all 5 stars? Because the place was charming. The host was very kind and friendly and the bacon sandwich when it did come was really really nice. I eat the tiniest amount of meat, often skipping it for months at a time so you could say I’m really fussy – but what I had today was yummy so I’m sure, when we go back I’ll want to go back to the Cabin and try something else!Great place – make sure you check it out!

First visit to the town and headed straight to the Cafe having read 38 Trip Advisor reviews rating this as excellent whilst on the train journey down. Yes the venue is very clean and tidy and yes the 50's music theme adds a nice touch. Sadly the food was very disappointing. We had the all day breakfast and I guess had high expectations based on all the glowing reviews. The reality was a small plate of poor quality ingredients that you could easily improve upon at most other breakfast venues. Tea was advertised as 80p a cup or £1 a mug but the mugs were tiny. What I am trying to say is that overall the experience here does not reflect anything out of the ordinary that the 38 previous reviews suggest?. Please also note that there are no toilet facilities either.

What a lovely little cafe. The staff are very helpful and kind. The portions are out of this world. Definitely worth every penny. Will be returning soon as my children love the music. 50s / 60s theme love it x

What's to like about this place? The tacky cheaply done theme, the plastic chairs and the stale bread yuck. But the worst part has to be the waitress standing there picking her nose in full view of the customers then handling food with same unwashed hands.

Called in for a late breakfast and had to queue to get in! Great to see her award and we would give her another for her continued excellent breakfast. Good to have it grilled and now there is a great special menu with healthy options. We will call again before the holiday ends.

We came to your Cafe, my wife and 2 kids, and my daughter had a full English breakfast and it was superb. To me the bacon brought back memories in the olden days. I have to admit the breakfasts were better our own camp-site. Our little son had beans on toast, he loved it. The Cafe is warm and a homely place to be in and you can just chat. It doesn't take long before after you have ordered for it ,to come. We went last October and loved it that is why we when back on Friday14th August 2015. And we will be going back again. We spoke to Liz the owner very friendly .150% out of 100%. PERFECT. When we went the Cafe was so busy. Even though it was full she always had the time to talk to us. How lovely. We would recommend this to anybody at any age.

Never have I eaten breakfast in a cafe with such brilliant atmosphere. The decor is superb and the 50s and 60s music is fantastic. The staff were very polite and accomodating. The full English breakfast which I had was top notch. I loved the music and the atmosphere so much I stayed to have another 2 cups of tea. I even had a sneaky little jive with the owner. When I'm down this area again I will definitely return to this little gem of a cafe.

I was a bit weary of visiting this cafe because of the reviews on here but we're do I start??? It's was great! The owner was lovely and welcoming. The staff were polite. The atmosphere was breathtaking. I know that might seem a bit dramatic but waw! The music and decor took me back to the good old days. I couldn't stop singing! We ordered a breakfast, double egg and chips, a cheese burger and a kids chicken nugget meal.. The breakfast was what I would call a PROPA fry up. The chips and egg were just like ordinary chips and egg you'd make at home. The cheese burger was lovely and came as a massive portion of chips, salad and coleslaw. And the kids meal was quite big for a kids meal. I would advise everyone of any age to visit this treasure in pwllheli!

Went to this cafe with my wife for breakfast while visiting Pwllheli again. We both had the full English. The plate was swimming in grease and the sausages were cheap and horrid. I was unable to remove the taste of grease from my mouth all day even after a full packet of mints!

Where do I start! I called for breakfast after reading the reviews on here. So wish I had not bothered. It was cold, over cooked and full of grease. Won't be returning :-(

What a super little place !! We had a really tasty and filling breakfast it kept us going all day the owner Liz couldn't have been more friendly what a lovely lady and her staff were really attentive and accommodating nothing was to much trouble. The café is decked out 50's style with vinyl records on the walls along with photo's of 50's idols, gingham table cloths and a miniature 50's and 60's Wurlitzer playing music of that era what a joy !! we will most certainly be going back when we next visit Pwllheli, so thank you for a lovely experience see you again soon.

This little cafe is tucked away but opposite the main car park in Y Maes. The place is small with just 6 tables inside but the menu is good and the staff friendly and welcoming. We had open sandwiches, one ham and pineapple and one prawn and mairie rose sauce. Absolutely excellent! The cafe is also decorated with 50s and 60s records and plays music of the period. A delightful place we will visit again.

Yet again they score again. The young lady who cooked our breakfast and served us was very efficient and friendly. The breakfast was of the usual high quality and I swapped my tomatoes for an extra egg with no problem.

Once again me and the wife have visited Pwllheli for a weekend break and we went again the The Cabin Cafe. What great breakfasts she makes. Filled us both up full to the brim with a nice haot coffee at the end. Great and cheery service as always - thanks you guys.

Went to this cafe with my partner and our 2 children for breakfast thinking this looks a nice quaint little place....how wrong we were. I've never posted on trip adviser before but thought it my duty to warn others. I had a full English consisting of 2 sausages bacon egg tomato mushroom beans and toast. The sausages were rusk filled watery mush, the bacon dry, egg burnt round the edges and hard yolk, mushroom was 1 whole mushroom deep fried still hard and raw on the inside beans very few and toast well just toast really... One daughter had egg and chips but she wouldn't eat the egg because it was the same as mine the other had a tuna sandwich which to be fair was actually ok. Oh yeah and there was a elderly lady shouting very loudly the whole time we were there (in Welsh) seemingly a friend of the under friendly owner. Avoid at all cost unless you want a tuna sandwich and are deaf.

Called in for coffee and cakes. Took ages to be served but staff were pleasant. We sat upstairs and appreciated the heating being on as it was a cold day. The coffee was weak and we only drank it to warm us up. My dad’s iced bun was more like a rock cake. The bara brith we bought to take home was the worst we’ve ever had. Completely dry and tasteless. Best thing about this place was the clean loo. Would not return.

A wonderful find - such a great restaurant! The menu is small but wow; the choices are fantastic. The coconut chicken was perfect, roast potatoes were delicious and the beautifully cooked. As a coeliac and dairy intolerant - would definitely recommend.

A thoroughly enjoyable evening. We started with a drink on the terrace and we were given the option of eating out there too and we did. A beautiful view and a perfect spot to watch the sunset .Definitely planning on returning.

Home cooked food very nice and very reasonable prices. Been twice now and intend to go again this week. Worth a little wait as everything cooked from scratch
