Just sat in this deserted Kings Road reataurant trying to eat a small plate of five pieces of dried up chicken reheated and a tiny portion of cold chips and realised why it's empty. I just thought let's get through this it's only £9.95 but when the bill came - or rather I went to the counter because there was no service - the one rude waiter behind the bar presented me and my friend with a bill for £44. We could not believe it. He claimed the five pieces of chicken with no accompaniemwnt was a shish taok main course which it so wasn't. It was appalling. I wasn't going to argue at £9.95 but at £22 a head I argued and then some but he absolutely insisted that we had to pay that and if we hadn't liked it we shouldn't have eaten it. What a truly awful place. Only two other customers in there and they looked as shocked as we were by their small plates of dried up food. Haven't had a meal this bad in London ever. Avoid this place like the plague although surely it can't be disgracing itself for much longer as it looks as though most people already avoid it. That's the biggest waste of nearly £50 I have ever experienced. I feel utterly swindled and robbed. Disgusting.

We just finished some shopping in the Kings Road and were looking for somewhere to eat very early in the evening and came across this place and decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed, modern Menu's were handed on a tablet, where photographs of the dishes could be seen with the click of a button. The food that we had ordered was excellent and the service was not lacking in anything. I must mention that the Restaurant was almost empty, so the staff did of course have plenty of time to look after us, but the service was faultless. I will recommend this place and come back next time we are in the vicinity.

Tasty food. We have tried the lamb and salmon machbous and chicken, was so tasty and light. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Felt just like home. It took fast to bring us our food and order. I would definitely go back to try new plates.

I recently stumbled upon this restaurant whilst I was in the Chelsea area of London and I was quite intrigued by the name; so I decided to visit. I visited restaurant at around 1pm during the week and it was fairly quiet. I was taken back by the interior as it felt as if I was in the Middle East! Since this restaurant specailises in Kuwaiti food, I decided to try the lamb machboos. My food arrived within a reasonable time and I did not have to wait very long. The lamb was cooked perfectly and the rice was full of aromatic flavours. I hope to return to the restaurant in the very near future as I am looking forward to trying their desserts and coffee.

It's not easy to find good Kuwaiti food abroad, since the flavors are very tricky to perfect. This restuarant served good Kuwaiti food that you can find abroad (note that there are very rare places serving Kuwaiti food outside of Kuwait) I tried the following: 1. Meat machboos: spiced rice with lamb (the lamb was very juicy and tender) - the rice was good but could've been better (a bit dry) - the tomato gravy "aka daqoos" (comes with the dish) was very authentic - chilli sauce (ma'abooch) was spot on! 2. Mutabaq Zubaidi: the rice -again- couldve been better, the fish (zubaidi) was fried and it was good but not as good as you could have it in Kuwait. 3. Laban - Yoghurt drink was thick and very good 4. Lebanese mezza platter was really good Bonne a petit!

I went to Ukai & my drink was spiked this was a traumatic & triggering experience this review is really a last resort because on having reached out to Alex the manager relating to him how violated & anxious I felt. his reaction or lack there of really was quite shocking. A manager has a duty of care to existing & future clients safety...having felt paralyzed & frightened on the toilet floor I left without my keys/jacket managing to get a taxi. I'm not blaming the bar or manager however I believe as paying customers we all deserve to be acknowledged when in danger this could happen to anyone of us & if it does ,do not expect ANY support understanding or even a reply from UKAi's manager Alex. After four emails I have not been informed if my belongings have been found. At this point Alex you really are part of the problem. To everyone else please be careful & stay safe.

After hearing mixed reviews about this place i decided to try this afternoon tea. They have Halal and Gluten free options. Overall ambiance and decor of the place is nice and floral. Staff was attentive and kindly offered free a hot chocolate to the child. However it took then 35 mins to bring the food on the table despite the whole place being quite empty. We had one Gluten free and one regular afternoon tea. Afternoon tea itself was very presentable offering variety of teas and we tried three different teas, the nicest one was Masala Chai. Sandwiches were ok in taste albeit rather bland. Scones were fresh, tasty and light. Unfortunately the desserts were very average in taste and were very basic. They do not do refills which is unusual for an afternoon tea. There is definitively room for improvement.
