First time there Everyone so friendly made so welcome... We had a fun night...

Good afternoon with a dozen old colleagues. Not many others present. Toilets nice. Pleasant place to be.

We popped in tonight in on a whim as we saw there was a pub quiz on . What a beautiful bar and honestly was blown away by how nice all the staff ( belle Davie and Neil ) were. They spoke to us like we'd been life long regulars. The bar and lounge area where clean , beautifully decorated and comfortable, toilets where also super clean. Decent pint and decent prices too. And the quiz was a great wee laugh. ( we didn't win lol ) although were 20 mins down the road we will definitely be back :) Thanks again 💕

No doubt in my mind it’s the friendliest bar in Hamilton! The owners are the nicest people ever and the bar staff are so welcoming. It’s such a pleasure to go to a bar where you are made to feel at home and part of the atmosphere. The entertainment on Sundays are the best in Scotland and the place is jumping, you might end up dancing with complete strangers - but that’s ok!!! Can’t wait to come back in a few weeks time, we’ll done guys, keep up the great work!!

Nice quiet pub ideal for the elderly

It's a decent and clean pub. The punters seem friendly and the staff were attentive, the only problem is that they serve the same old beer that every other pup in Hamilton do they should try a bit harder in that area ( though the punters are as much to blame as they keep drinking the same old rubbish beer Tennants etc ).

Never felt so humiliated had 2 drinks 1 I never finished and waitress told me wasn't allowed to have another drink but asked my husband did he want 1.We both left and never been so embarrassed humiliated and no explanation from the owner when spoke to him because called this morning and rude.Told me to take it up with dot his wife.Thatswho was in when I was refused another drink.Hadnt even drunk my 2nd glass.Im a receptacle person and i just wanted an explanation to why.Because I had 2nd vaccine im being discriminate to being drunk.

One of the oldest pubs in Hamilton, still going strong. Recently given a modern redesign but still retaining its charm. The staff and customers created a real family atmosphere which makes every visit worthwhile 10/10

We visited the Butter urn on Sunday evening for the first time, but we'll definitely be back. Lovely traditional pub atmosphere, but so much cleaner! All original seats and tables have been refurbished. Social distancing is kept to stringently, yet the bar retains the busy feeling of a popular local bar. There is a small lounge which is so attractive and might suit a larger group. I must comment on the toilets, which rated 5 flushes, a personal award of mine. Most toilets only get 4, or even less. I am VERY fussy about public toilets!

Great pub Gillian the barmaid is an absolute diamond of a girl.

Was walking past on my way home and dropped my phone, didn't realise straight away but used find my phone when I got home. Boyfriend said he'd go get it and discovered some nice lassies had handed it in to the pub! Thanks to them if they ever see this and thanks also to the staff, who the boyfriend reports were lovely!

This is one of, if not the best bar in Hamilton. There is always a great atmosphere, friendly service and good pricing structure. They regularly have live entertainment of some the best local acts, give it a try you won't be disappointed

Bar staff are very friendly. Beer is sparking and malt of the month is good value. Not tried food but would be surprised if wasn't up to same standard.

This was the 2nd time I had visited this pub. On both occasions the pub was busy but getting served was not a problem. The manager and staff are welcoming. The pub sells very reasonably priced meals although I have not eaten there myself.

Excellent homemade food....great breakfasts on a Sunday....friendly locals and staff - excellent atmosphere...

Was in for lunch today for the third time and have to say the food is amazing I haven't been disappointed yet, the combo for two starter is plentiful, I had the smothered chicken for a second time its so good n the double decadence creme egg cheesecake well it says it all. Will definitely be back , well done Claire x
