Busaba Eathai in City of London, Westminster

Busaba is a long standing quick service restaurant for tasty casual Thai dining with communal table seating. What makes the st Christopher’s place branch special is the strong service etiquette from the staff who are really making a big effort to run the restaurant smoothly and look after the guests. This makes a big difference to the experience. Thanks

Eigentlich 3,5 Sterne, den halben Punkt Bonus gibt es dafür, dass mein (rotes) Curry von der Rechnung genommen wurde, weil es so scharf war, dass ich nur wenig davon essen konnte. Das grüne Curry war gut, inkl. Reis mit knapp 29 Euro aber definitiv overprized. Service war gut, das Essen kam sehr schnell.

Excellent restaurant thaï avec de grandes tablées carrées à partager avec d’autres personnes sans avoir trop de proximité. La cuisine était absolument délicieuse et le service était agréable.

Comida de baja calidad que acaba de occidentalizarse lo que hace el doble de malo. Tuve que devolverlo. Piezas mezquinas de carne de res incluidas y generalmente sobrevaloradas para un producto de baja calidad. Pedí postre que estaba claramente en el microondas y tibio caliente. Me imagino a un chef perezoso arrancándolo de su bolsa de congelación y golpeándolo durante 30 segundos, sí, estaba tan mal hecho y me cobraron £ 8. 5 por ello. Estaba tan decepcionado que no lo terminé. Pagado y dejado. No recomendaría este lugar para la comida, pero el personal es agradable. De lo contrario le habría dado una estrella.

El servicio fue genial. Grandes porciones para compartir. La comida tenía un gran sabor. Ubicación no discriptible y mirada al restaurante.

Lo frequentavamo quindici anni fa. Lo stile del locale e la qualità del cibo sono rimasti immutati. Piatti e zuppe thai saporite e piccanti al punto giusto. Adoro i solidi tavoli di legno. Sono molto soddisfatto.

Great food; love the Sharing tables; speedy delivery of food by our very attentive waitress Saru. The crispy duck noodle hit just the right spot.

The staff we very welcoming and the service levels were quite high. Try the Chilli Prawns. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Saru has been a fantástic waitress. Tha food was Amazing!!! I recommend this place 100%. In my visit London i will come back again and will ask to Saru

Excellent resto Thaï dans un cadre très sympa avec de grandes tablées carrées, à partager sans pour autant avoir trop de proximité, c'est top! Seul petit bémol pour l'insonorisation de la salle, assez bruyant dans l'ensemble mais quand même très convivial.

Four stars overall and for food downgraded to three in both cases due to portion size. Having been to this Busaba and others for many years, I was really surprised by the degree to which the portion sizes have shrunk. The food is still tasty, but the calamari (now £10) is about half the portion it used to be and ditto the two mains we ordered (jungle chicken and ginger beef) which are about £15 each. Thankfully the £5 bowl of brown rice padded them out otherwise we would literally have left nearly as hungry as when we came in. No more Busaba for us.

Came here for Valentine’s Day, the service started out good and food came quite quick, the waitress was attentive. But then the service got extremely slow, waited for almost 20 minutes for the dessert to come out and that was after having to ask a member of staff. They were not attentive as it got more busy and gave us the bill in a hurry and didn’t even apologise for forgetting about our order. The food was average, I’ve had better Thai food. And by the time the dessert came I had lost my appetite and mood after waiting for so long. Not the best experience.

This used to be one of my favourite Thai restaurants. It’s gone so downhill firstly it was an empty restaurant and it took over 10 minutes for our ordered to be taken. The food was so disappointing, it lacked flavour and seasoning everything lacked salt. I don’t know if they have changed their chefs but that big explosion of Thai flavours is not there anymore.

Very average. Food such a green curry was covered in green beans in a very dark green sauce. Not fresh tasting at all. Staff won’t advise you what extras come with food items so you may end up ordering more side dishes such as rice than what is needed. No sauces available so you will need to ask. A teaspoon amount of soy sauce is all you get unless you ask for more which would seem reasonable if you are 4 people.

Ci accolgono con Gentilezza, a ns figlio di 7 anni è stato permesso di mangiare il suo happy meal... E le cose positive finiscono qui. Attesa molto lunga , la mia carne troppo cotta e secca e mia moglie non riesce a mangiare il suo piatto , sente uno strano retrogusto.....ma il problema non è tanto questo , quanto il fatto che il cameriere, pur vedendo il piatto intatto , non ritenga opportuno capire perché mia moglie non abbia toccato nulla. Totale disinteresse.... mah.

Disgusting, tasteless food. Slow and rude service. Incredibly dirty and smelly toilets. No toilette paper, dirty sinks. Food made me sick. Beef the worse Aldi quality. Chewy and half cold. Noodles overcooked. Thai food should be happy, colorfull and fresh This was worse than any food i ate this year. My daughter pad thai with chicken was sweet and sour not a decent thai with fresh veges and chillies. Tables sticky. Oh i cant write enough and i almost never write reviews but for this one i will post it everywhere. Dont let anything fool you. Dead food absolutely dead.

We've been going to this restaurant after our Christmas shopping every year, but this will be the last time. Our waiter was great but the kitchen service was so slow and the food so bland and not what it usually is, we were both disappointed. The women's bathroom is a mess, taps hanging off, bucket on the floor collecting water and it looks dirty and unkept. The whole restaurant looks dirty, the benches are so stained and filthy, the decor is shabby. This is not a London standard restaurant in this location.

I’ve eaten here several times before and have been impressed. Unfortunately we had a disappointing experience this time. The place was busy and did not appear to have enough people managing the table service; I ordered a simple green Thai curry and jasmine rice. The rice appeared first, lukewarm, without curry. It sat there and, when I asked for it to be replaced when the curry appeared, the same thing happened. Twice more times. My colleague asked for chopsticks multiple times to no avail. I spent 15 mins trying to attract the gaze of someone to order the bill, eventually the bar guy who was busy nattering to his colleagues told me that it was not his responsibility to serve the tables. It was overpriced and underwhelming- I took the service off the bill the first and only time ever. I’ll not be there again. There are much better Thai restaurants in London.

Whilst staying in London for the night for a work trip I met up with some family for some dinner. We had a table booked for 7.30pm and got seated at a square table with 2 other couples. Took a while to come and see to us for an order, it was quite busy. We ordered some drinks and then starters and mains. Within about 20 minutes my main was brought out followed by my started. Heard of this in places like Wagamamas but thought if I ordered a starter it would come first not all together. I ordered the chicken safety and the classic pad Thai. The food was lovely and I also ordered a cocktail but at £12 I only ordered the one (yes I get London prices). Took a while for the bill to come and we split 3 ways, between 3 of us was £145. Not sure if return if I was in London again

I have ordered takeaway. When I went to pick up my order I have asked them if they have put it cutlery they said yes. So I got back to my car and there was no fork. So because of I already had an parking fine on my car I didn’t go back to restaurant. So I am going to pay £65 pound fine for the food that I cannot eat because there is no cutlery. Fantastic experience. We chose the restaurant based on Trip Advisor reviews and it did not disappoint. The appetizers were delicious (order 1 or 2 per person) and our meals exceeded expectations. We have some picky eaters but even they were satisfied. Don’t pass this up.

Located just off of Oxford Street, it is an ideal place to meet friends for meal. They have a good selection of Thai dishes; we ordered about three dishes per person for mains. I always order the roti bread whenever i am in a Busaba as it is very tasty. We also had dessert - although their menu is limited. I had the banana fritters which were okay. I would say that Busaba’s main dishes are probably better than their desserts. The service we received was excellent.I do love the smell of their restaurants, they always have some lovely incense.

Food was too bad. My Jungle curry was so plain. Nothing Thai about this food. Apart form overpowering chilli salad chilli there was no waste. Just red coloured watery something with some bamboo shoots, green beans and shiitake mushrooms. My sister’s pad Thai was so greasy and also far from Thai, they didn’t even bother to put nothing green! No garnish at all!Straight after eating she had heartburn. Today she said that her stomach is upset, hurting and diarrhoea...What shall we expect?)) when I asked where the chef is from. I got an answer- from Italy!:)He could really do a better job I believe:) Manager was strange?... he appeared without an introduction, stood upon us waiting for explanation. I figured someone told him that we were not happy about the food and wanted to pass this message to the chef. So once again we told it to the manager now. Who asked if we paid? I’ve been in busada on Saturday for the first time after lockdown with my friends. We really enjoyed the place , the food and drinks, the atmosphere was really great but specially our waitress Pamela who took care of our table and gave us a brilliant reccomandation for food and drink.
