Good clean and tidy Inn,food very good and will call again.

This place is very popular, the staff are so friendly and helpful, there's a slight wait for food but it's worth the wait. The way in which it is presented is different but highly pleasing. 10/10 keep up the good work.

One of our favourite places to eat out, for a romantic meal or family occasion. Always a friendly welcome and shown to a table with menus almost immediately, we’re never left waiting. Properly home-cooked food, cooked fresh and never takes very long to come out, even when they seem very busy. Huge portions and fantastic value! My favourite meal is the steak with peppercorn sauce and every time I order, it is cooked to perfection (Med-Rare). I’ve tried the fillet, rump and sirloin. Recently I had the lamb shank for the first time when we came for Sunday lunch and it just melted off the bone, absolutely amazing! My husband had the turkey which was so moist, not dry at all. We ordered a side of cauliflower cheese, which was easy enough for 2 people and is to die for! We also recently had the barbecue pulled pork Parmesan, which did not disappoint either! We are yet to try out the midweek offer menus, which I imagine are very popular, as it’s all the best of British food and even more fantastic value. Ticks every box, every time! Highly recommend a visit.

The world's smallest parmesan for 15 quid each! Hardly any chips. Left still Hungary. Was nice food just tiny portion. Wouldn't of filled my 12 year old daughter and couple next to us complaining also about the portion size. Staff were lovely shame bout size of the parmo

Had a sunday lunch today and unfortunately it was just horrid - one of the blandest things I've ever tasted, and it was about £17 each! Grey meat, bland vegetables and just really underwhelming. We've had a couple of nice evening meals here before today, but won't be back.

Had Sunday Lunch here - was so impressed with the incredibly efficient and professional service of the Manager/Owner, as well as the waiting staff. The food tasted like a wholesome and fresh home-cooked meal and the portions sizes were enormous. We will definitely be back for more!

Many years our previous visit but an extensive and very reasonably priced menu awaited. Food and service was exceptional and everything was excellent in every aspect

Had the litebite bellypork, black pudding, vegetables, roasts, mash and massive Yorkshire pudding with gravymade with cider and mustard. Was delicious, more than sufficient and reasonable price.

Whilst staying in the area we as a group visited for lunch. When we first walked through the doors we were greeted by a very warm welcoming lady who showed us to our seats. We ordered food which arrived approximately 15-20 mins later which is always a good sign as you know it has been freshly cooked and not reheated. I ordered a normal chicken parmo with hand cut chips. The parmo was nicely cooked and very succulent. The chips were as good as any I've tasted anywhere. The veggie lasagne I was informed was delicious also the burtree chicken dish with a mouthwatering sauce scored very highly by my wife's reckoning. It was also great to see a child's 3 course menu very well presented and priced. We had varied drinks from lager beer and wine all fine. We found all the staff absolutely fantastic very friendly and caring. This was a great experience for dining out and will be returning if we are in the area. Many thanks to all at The Burtree Inn

Food was nice. I had hot shot Parmo. Only issue i had was all the chilli's were positioned right in the middle of the Parmo and not spread around it. The pepperoni was fine. My wife had prawn Baguette. She enjoyed it. Staff friendly.

Spent an evening with two friends. All had good meals all chicken based with flavoursome sauce, with great chips and fantastic veg selection

Group of 8 was very satisfied with the grub. Excellent quality and price. I look forward to the next opportunity to visit.

never fails to live up to high standard of food we only been in a big family group last few years for special ocassions and its always 100% for quality of food service by staff and price well done to all involved

Salmon in tomato bisque with shrimp. The salmon was poor, the sauce was slidified and shrimp rock hard. Whole meal less than lukewarm. To make matters worse, I ordered veg with it - expecting broccoli or peas - things that go with fish. I was served roast potatoes carrots swede and cabbage. Absolutely awful. I was in a group of 9, I never touched my veg and ate a couple of mouthfuls of the salmon. Your staff weren’t attentive and failed to notice or ask if everything was alright with our meals. Terrible experience.

Absolutely gorgeous Sunday lunch and the service was excellent, first time we’ve been but won’t be the last. We got sides because we’re greedy but was totally unnecessary because the standard portions were great for us and like i say we’re quite big eaters. 10/10

Really good service and friendly staff, the food was out of this world! I had steak pie ( a large one ) my partner had the roast Beef dinner! Both meals absolutely fantastic. Only problem is that we are here for 2days break from York and would really love this pub to be our local with food at this level

WOW. Visiting the area and chose the bur tree inn, we were not disapointed. I had the pie, (fat man) and my wife had the beef dinner, the portions were large, beyond expectations. Both dishes were so tasty, We rank this pub/restaurant as the best value for money, the tastiest and in my top five of all places we have ever dined out at. We will go again even if we have to drive the 50miles to get there.

As always The Burtree never fails, I tend to have the same meal here as it is so good. The service is always friendly and consistent. The food is always good no matter when you go it is always the same! The Biscotti Cheesecake is £5.95 and worth every penny it is the best cheesecake I have ever had and comes With homemade toffee sauce. Served with vanilla ice cream. Love it here good meals decent price good service excellent!

We were a large party of adults and children and the meal was served quickly and efficiently. As usual the food was of a high standard and the staff were very welcoming. We can highly recommend Burtree Inn - it never disappoints.

Called in as we had been before and had a great meal, but, the service felt a bit business-like and felt a little rushed despite the place only having two other tables taken, tables reserved and areas cordoned off. The food came promptly, the wife ordered Shepard's pie, it was a little greasy and had gristle which put her off. I ordered a hot shot parmo, the betchemel sauce was thin and runny, I wouldn't say the meals were bad but certainly not up to the standard we had previously experienced.

Lovely meal at the Burtree Inn today. Service was excellent, very attentive staff. Food was very good. Desserts to die for, best we have all had in a while. Overall recommend the Burtree for a delicious meal out.

Really good food. They sat us quite close together which I wasn’t fond off. All worth it though for the amazing meal we had.

First, but not last visit, fitted us in without booking, though booking looks to be preferable as it was busy. Food was outstanding, service matched, staff were so busy, but a smile on their faces. Well worth a visit. I had lambs lived and it was cooked pink to perfection !!!! Book now avoid disappointment.

Driving up North, missed services, so pulled off at next turn off to find somewhere to eat. We were right next to Burntree Inn, rang, had a table ,so fantastic Sunday dinner was eaten 😋. Highly recommend, staff were outstanding as well.

Booked this for the wife's birthday and on entrance we were greeted by a very friendly gentleman who I assumed was the owner/manager, who took us to our table. I ordered the pulled pork parmo which was just fantastic, and plentiful served with chips and salad and the Mrs had the standard beef dinner the quality of both of our meals were top notch and definitely a 10 out of 10 from us. I also have to mention the quality of the service as staff were so busy but all seemed happy in their work with nothing being too much trouble and I have to say this is so refreshing to see as customer service appears to be a dying art at lot of places these days. So well done Burtree Inn we will be back.

The meals were perfect had a brilliant night

This place is a real oddity. The bar is no bigger than my village cricket club, but has a deceptively large dining area. We like a good traditional menu, and we were not disappointed. When you can't choose between 8 dishes, you know it's good. The food was fantastic, and given there were only a couple of people serving a packed house, the food was on our tables very quickly. Would love this place to be 150 miles closer to where we live.

Called in on our way north, really enjoyed our lunch, very tasty good service. Highly recommended 👌

Interesting menu, black pudding with an almost Thai twist for example. Original, tasty but wouldn't have it again. Same with the pork medallions. Lamb shank however was spot on. Value not bad. Around £20 per head for 2 courses without drinks.

Sunday lunch sould have been hotter.

Last time we went our meal was lovely went on sunday had sunday lunch with beef the beef didnt taste of beef it was terrible, £40 we paid for 2 meals 1 coke and a glass of wine very disapointing!

We recently called here for lunch. It has a lovely relaxing and welcoming interior. The staff were first class, could not fault them. As for the food, this was delicious and a great price as well. There was also plenty of parking spaces. I would definitely recommend it.

The Gammon belly buster is to die for really portions and really tasty the Yorkshires are massive and tasty along with the strawberry sundae would recommend again

Almost flawless, the food is brilliant and Andy is always helpful in accomodating customer needs. Car park needs expanding mind as this place is very popular.

Ordered from here during lockdown and it was amazing so was excited to go back and get fresh food but sadly the chips were so dry, my parmo was soggy on the bottom and not crispy at all was so disappointed

Having arrived at a busy time we expected a wait but we were greeted immediately and shown to a table . Since it was Sunday I was thinking about the roast . The menu was for standard or large and since I didn't know the actual amount I decided to get the standard . There was a smaller size menu and now with hindsight I would have been better getting the smaller one . In fact the portion sizes are very large but the roast beef was fantastic and everything was well cooked . We'd definitely recommend this to anyone passing by . We shall be back .

Stopped off here for a meal when staying at Junction 59 at the Holiday Inn. Fab find. Extensive GF menu which pleased our party very good value too. Busy - book- we were glad we had!

Big portions, reasonably priced. Girlfriend needs gluten free, sunday dinner with Yorkshire is rare for her, and the Yorkshire pudding she said was lovely.

Yet another visit. Keep coming back due to the fabulous service and tasty food. Always a solid choice for a meal out - it's never disappointed.

Fantastic place. We had a meal there on a Sunday and it was lovely. Our order came quickly and hardly any wait. I thought the food was a little pricey on the menu but when the food came out it was worth it.
