I've tried a lot of tacos in my time, by far the best I've ever had! Also, the hibiscus margarita is amazing!!!

Beautiful little restaurant. Very friendly staff. Loads of variety in both drinks and meals. Everything we ordered tasted fresh and full of flavour. Definitely the best Mexican food I’ve ever had.

Really nice food, generous portions, good atmosphere! Usually quite busy at weekends. Nice friendly staff. If I can give a suggestion, could it be possible to have the waitresses to actually write down the order? On more than one occasion items have not been received by the kitchen or starters are forgotten in the kitchen while mains are served. Thank you!

We really enjoyed this lively, vibrant little restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere, just off Black Jack St. Staff were friendly, helpful and hard-working. The food was delicious, fresh and reasonably priced. Cocktails were fun, though not top-notch. Book ahead - highly recommended.

Possibly the best Mexican I've had in this country. We had the beef tacos and they were ridiculous. Our waitress was fabulous, basically told us what to eat and the cocktails to accompany the food and she was spot on!!

The best food and service In Cirencester, without a doubt. Every dish here is full of flavour, freshly cooked and delicious. The service is always friendly and professional and the atmosphere is nice and chilled. Very reasonable prices and a great choice of alcoholic and soft drinks. Every time I’m in Cirencester, this is the place I book and can’t wait to go back.

The food was absolutely astonishingly lovely. Genuinely some of the best food we’d all eaten! However, the service let the side down. 4 of us came in for bottomless brunch. I ordered a margarita to start, which was very good. Whenever we’d order drinks it seemed to be a pain to our waitress, who would just walk off after ordering, no acknowledgment of what we’d said. We also caught them rolling their eyes at us, and being overall unpleasant behind our backs. I think they thought we couldn’t see, but it was very obvious. I circled back to a margarita, and this one had soda water in it. It wasn’t very nice. I asked for my next one to be made without soda water, and she was reluctant to do that since bottomless brunch “didn’t include the nice one”. It was quite a weird statement. Also we couldn’t have any Prosecco cocktail unless we all had it, because they didn’t want to open a bottle unless we’d drink the whole thing. We also had to keep going up to order drinks. She told my friend to not come up to order. Which is fine, but then you should make an effort to actually come and check if we’d like another drink. She just never came back to our table after about an hour. My final margarita came with a tahin rim, not salt as requested. I asked for it to be changed, and she said she didn’t have any salt left. When I questioned it, she took the drink, without saying a word, and moments later came back with the correct drink. Overall it was quite a weird experience. They seemed to instantly dislike us, and we couldn’t really work out why. We were polite, we were smiling and having fun, and didn’t seem to be disrupting anyone around us. I would go back, but not for bottomless brunch, as it seems they begrudgingly offer this.

Had a lovely meal at Burrito Mama tonight. My son’s first experience trying Mexican food and the staff were really helpful and kind, keeping everything separate for him and making him some plainer than normal tacos, which he loved. Thanks for the great service and delicious food - we’ll definitely be back!

It is a small place with a small menu but a fantastic food!!! The dishes aren't the typical greasy dripping food but a well balanced and flavoursome. I would recommend to book in advance to guarantee a table. They have also a selection of gluten free options like a burrito in a bowl instead of a wrap.

What an absolute find! The series perfect and food great. Had some Tacos which were super tasty, shared a burrito which again was tasty with a bit spicer. The craft Lager was good too. Will definitely be going back and highly recommend it too.

Regular customer - The food is fantastic with friendly service. The Ancho Chilli Asada Mushroom Burritos are a favourite of mine (And I don't usually like mushrooms) - Almost forgot to mention the Hot Honey Margarita which is fantastic

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The staff were attentive but not checking on you every couple minutes, they timed it perfectly. The food was brought out quickly and was very well presented. Will definitely be going back soon.

I had a takeaway from here, which included a beef burrito and a quesadilla. Both were really good, in particular the quesadilla - crunchy and super favourful and nicely seasoned.

Shared nachos was like a bogs dinner all the nachos were broken and totally smothered in stringy meat, arrived within with 3 mins of placing the order basically just throwing together

Myself and partner we came across of Mama burritos about two weeks ago, I went in to grab a takeout menu, I went in and honestly I didn’t want to leave the smells of the different flavour in the restaurant I felt I was in Mexico in the food market of Tijuana , we went today , silly me didn’t book , but they give us a table, that was reserved for later on , the welcoming was excepcional My God the food the loaded nachos with beef 😱😱😱 OMG they blow my mind I couldn’t stop eating , then the tacos 🤩🤩 I have been in the industry of hospitality for over 15 years and is the first time in my career that I don’t have words to describe how grateful we were with everything and everyone, the service unbelievably amazing, I had the chance to speak to the managers I’m not sure if she was but , the way she approached us was very polite, she had an amazing attitude and that beautiful smile , thank you for existing:) Please try it out. It just perfect.

Since Burrito Mama has opened this has been the family go to for great lunches! We do take away quite a bit and drive an hour for the tasty meals. We lived in LA for many years and missed our Mexican cuisine, so when they opened AND the food was amazing, we were overjoyed to say the least. Staff are lovely and accommodating to all our dietary needs. We have recommended so many friends! Thanks!!

We visited Burrito Mama for the first time, after family recommendations. It was quiet on arrival with only one couple inside eating. We asked for a table for 2 and were told we could dine at a table for 45 minutes before a booking was due to arrive. We were happy with this as we hadn't booked ahead and weren't planning on being out long. The service was prompt and the food came very quickly. The food was delicious and quality was good. We devoured our food and got our bill all within around 30 minutes. I can honestly say I will be visiting again in the near future. My only dislikings were how cramped it felt where i was seated. I was sat at a table right next to the kitchen door & I assume bathroom. When a gentleman went past to use the rest room, i felt very close to him. Also we were very close to the only couple who were also dining at the next table. Just a couple of feet apart, it felt slightly awkward at times. When I finished my meal, I found it difficult to get up from my seat, as it was against the wall and I had no room to move my chair out any. I do suffer with chronic illnesses which in turn affects my mobility. So the cramped seating space was uncomfortable for me. My partner sat opposite me and he had more room to get up as his chair wasn't against anything. I should of probably sat there. All in all I enjoyed myself and would recommend to anyone wanting hearty Mexican food locally. Food prices are reasonable although £2.75 for a tiny bottle of cola or Sprite did seem expensive. However its the same most restaurants. Thank you Burrito Mama!

First visit and very impressed. Great friendly service on a busy lunchtime. Food was delicious and large portions for a fair price. Glad to see you are busy and hope to come back soon.

Closed their kitchen before their advertised closing time Edit: This is not common practice (I spent a decade working in hospitality) and I fail to see how people dining in prevents you from providing takeaway, especially when you had so little people seated. An easy way to make this obvious to customers is to actually honor your advertised opening hours instead of going on break early or make the appropriate adjustment to your opening hours.

Found this place via Google, as we were looking for somewhere for dinner in Cirencester and wow I’m so glad we found this place! Amazing Mexican food, you can tell all the ingredients are fresh and homemade. The flavours were absolutely delicious! Everything was hot and fresh! Lovely atmosphere in there too with trendy music & lovely people. Just also wanted to mention how fantastic the service was. I have a nut allergy & this wasn’t a problem! All the staff were attentive, friendly & happy. Great place, definitely check it out! You won’t be disappointed 😊🌮🌯

Amazing food. Poor service. We arrived at 2:15pm on a Saturday after having checked that the closing time was 3pm. The restaurant was mostly full with some empty seats at the bar. We asked if we could have the 2 seats at the bar for a quick lunch before getting back to Xmas shopping. There were 2 young ladies behind the counter (in their early 20s) looking very reluctant and hesitant to sit us. Huffing and puffing about how they are closing soon and they want to keep the bar empty. I felt it was quite ridiculous to deny customers 45 minutes before closing time but we were lucky that 2 people left and we could have their table. During the 30 minutes that we were there, we saw and counted a total of 12 people, groups no larger than 3-4 people at a time, being turned away for the same reason. A mother was begging to be seated as her 2 kids were extremely hungry and promised to eat really quick. By this point the restaurant was mostly empty and it was still 30 mins before closing. I am just appalled at the work ethic of the staff at this restaurant. If only the owner knew how many customers were turned away due to the laziness of his/her staff! The food was served very promptly and despite how delicious it tasted, I'm not sure I want to visit again.

The most tasty amazing food and perfect service, also very reasonable prices, cannot rate this family run restaurant highly enough! All the food was amazing but the highlight was the comsumme/dipping sauce that came with the beef burrito!! Will be back for sure, Jo.

We were passing through Cirencester for lunch and caught a scent of something amazing while in a passageway. We found the smell was coming from burrito mama and wanted to try it! Food was absolutely DELICIOUS, I had the chicken burrito while my husband had the beef burrito with a small nachos, portion size was incredibly generous I had to take half of mine away with me but I'll be having that for my dinner! We browsed the dessert menu and had to try the brownie with the maple pecan gelato and dulce de leche and oh my god it was SO worth it! Service was super friendly, decor was fabulous and the vibe was lovely and cosy on a rainy day. I would definitely head back here if I was in the area.

If I could’ve given it zero stars I would have. The service was awful, we got ignored the food was disgusting and uncooked, we got charged for things we didn’t order and got the wrong order. We had to pay for the things we didn’t want as no one could be bothered to change it. We got stared at while eating especially by the girl with red hair, she was the worst and I hope to never see her again. I got challenged about having a fake id and my id therefore got viscously scratched. rude service (we got told we were allowed the table for one hour even though there was nothing to say the table was reserved) and we were really disappointed at the food and service. Very very poor.

Stumbled upon this place today, great service, amazing food, the quality of ingredients and attention to detail was spot on and I should mention the wonderful cocktails. Be back next month. 👏🏻

Some of the best nachos I’ve ever had 🤩

Low-key the food is on point. I don't wanna say too much. Trying not to blow the spot up because I want to find a seat in a Saturday for those damn tacos. Someone knows what they're doing. The menu is simple and done right. The flavours are correct and uncomplicated. Great little selection of beers, only thing I could suggest is to let me recommend some wines for you.

My parents who live locally have raved about the burritos and were keen to take me today. My mum is in a wheelchair and at around 12 o’clock we decided to see if there was a table free for us. My dad entered the restaurant first and then followed myself and my mum. There were two tables being served but the place looked relatively empty. The girl at the till told my dad that without booking she couldn’t help us, looking confused dad walked out and I asked again seeing empty tables to be told curtly again it’s reserved and the rest is bar stools looking at my mum. There was even outside seating. We turned around and walked out feeling like we were not wanted. There were no smiles, no sorrys, no come back later, would this time suit, no customer service at all. The bar and stools are only for able so dad and I could have had a seat I presume but not my disabled mum, plenty of seating outside also but we obviously were not wanted. This is the first time that I have felt this sad and my dad about disability.

Small but buzzing place with authentic Mexican food and great cocktails and mocktails. Service is friendly and efficient. I didn't think a corn on the cob starter could be so good and the tacos and burritos are great . It gets busy so best to book. They also do takeaways.

My partner and I decided to have lunch here and the food was outstanding! As an American ex-pat, my biggest lamentation is the lack of super fresh and flavourful authentic Mexican food in the UK but I was so pleased to find it now right on my doorstep! Highly recommend the tacos. They are deceptively filling. My partner had a burrito and really enjoyed. It was perhaps a tiny bit pricey, but you absolutely get what you pay for, so a great option for a special lunch or dinner. I’m very excited to go again!

Quite simply perfect in everyway. The staff were excellent and fun to be around. Couldn't do enough for us. Food was fab and some of the best Mexican food I've had, even comparing food I've had in Mexico!! I will definitely go back. A great place for a drink and food and very well priced. Fifteen quid for a burrito wrap that wasn't even wrapped, it went everywhere as I tried to eat it. Luckily I was sat on the benches outside and not in my car as it would have ruined my clothes and seats. When I politely tried to leave feedback, rather than recitify the situation I was told by the proprietor that my feedback must be wrong as the business had never received any complaints before. What arrogance! And further more I was then offered feedback that I wasn't actually a customer as I hadn't paid enough money to use the benches . After being charged a whole pound for hot sauce! What a liberty.

This is exactly what Cirencester needs - a hip burrito joint. Love it! Have been numerous times since it opened and burritos are spot on. So are the nachos. Haven't tried the cocktails yet but certainly intend to one of these days.

A gem of a Mexican in the heart of Cirencester. Great food which is full of flavour. Disappointing only 330ml lager/cider on offer at £4.50+. Also, cocktails are £9 and the size does not reflect the price. Will return for the food, but a pint or glass of wine in a local pub is a must.

We had the birria pulled beef and honey chipotle chicken tacos, and mama’s loaded nachos on the side. All of the food was excellent. Very fresh and tasty, and served hot. I would highly recommend the picante chile cocktail too!

Found BMs by chance today having stumbled into (and out of) a couple of coffee shops that didn't really fit the bill of what we wanted... I'm so glad we kept looking!!! Amazing food... Really friendly staff and not expensive. Thanks ladies... We'll be back soon x

Lovely food. However…food was served cold and the experience was under whelming. Found ourselves in the bizarre situation of having lovely tasting food but no desire to return. It was almost as if the consumer experience has been forgotten. Mojitos had mixed reviews in our party. Overall good but small for £9 and on the sweet side. Took a long time to make so meal was almost over. Paparritos in Cheltenham however is the real deal. No cocktails mind!
