Excellent Sunday lunch served with a smile. Nick gave us a selection of meats and veg all served up in a very friendly clubhouse restaurant. I've already booked for Mothers Day which just happens to be my wife's birthday

It's rare to find a restaurant, that is only too happy to make sure you have a 1st class Gluton Free meal, we were a family of 5 and, we all thought our carvery was wholesome and very tasty, followed by a lovely dessert.

Played there 3 times one in the wet/winter and two this month (benefit out the doubt) Not a nice atmosphere inside the clubhouse, staff look like they don’t want to be there, especially (can’t remember the name) short female cuts around with a dog. -Golf Etiquette needs tending . -Food over priced l, for the quality. -staff need to speak politely and actually treat customers with respect. -Wouldn’t recommend being a member. - only positives was the cider. - and the greens/course kept tidy throughout both seasons. -Pro shop staff were lovely and a overall nice shop with nice facilities. Good course overall but the clubhouse staff bring it on a massive down.

We had a large party for my mother's funeral Wake on 27th January, '23. Nick was really helpful with the arrangements and letting us in before to put in flowers and photographs. We had an afternoon tea with scones and clotted cream. The food was delicious and the staff were extremely friendly and professional. I would thoroughly recommend Burghill Golf Club for any event like this.

We have (party of 10) just had a lovely Sunday lunch at the golf course restaurant. When we arrived it was extremely busy but we were quickly shown to our table and drinks orders taken. We were told that when we were ready to make our way to the carvery. There was 2 meats (beef/pork) with all the trimmings, also vegetarian option, there was at least 6 different vegetables to choose from and some lovely crunchy roast potatoes. Everyone enjoyed their meal! The staff were extremely friendly especially the gentlemen behind the food counter. We look forward to returning in the future!

This golf course is in rural Herefordshire and although off the beaten track is well worth seeking out. The course has some interesting holes with a feature being the fact some holes weave their way through cider orchards. There’s a nice terrace overlooking the 18th where you can enjoy a drink after your round. We enjoyed an excellent roast beef dinner served by friendly and efficient staff.

Visited last Sunday for the carvery. Really generous portions of meat. Excellently cooked and tasty vegetables although we would have liked some mashed potatoes. Thick and tasty gravy. Price included coffee. Prosecco for an additional £2 per glass. Excellent value for the price. Friendly and efficient staff. Highly recommended.

Called in for lunch and found it to be a lovely environment with good food. Given the size and nature of the place there was a good choice of options which were well priced. We enjoyed the faggots and chips, chicken and bacon wrap and tuna jacket potato. Good coffee and friendly staff. Recommended.

Just popped in for a quick lunch, had the chilli with rice and chips-cracking meal. Lovely surroundings great staff!

Excellent service, had a bit of a wait for our meals, but was well worth it, as the food was lovely.

Called in on the off chance and although very busy we were seated almost immediately and chose the Thursday carvery. Superb selection of veggies and beautifully cooked beef. The cheesecake is ti die for and we will definitely return and sample the rest of the menu. Thanks for a lovely meal.

Very friendly golf club with excellent food. We were fortunate enough to eat on the patio and the plants and flowers are wonderful. The course was in great condition and whilst not the longest is a great challenge. The greens were great - fast and undulating. Worth a visit.

Our friends invited us, together with lots of other friends for a carvery lunch yesterday. The restaurant was extremely busy, but the service was excellent. The food was cooked to perfection. All the meats were delicious. The vegetables weren’t over cooked either, which is often the case with carveries. The views across the golf course are wonderful. In all a lovely lunch. Many thanks to the staff involved, for such an enjoyable day.

Attended a Birthday lunch which was pre booked. Waitress took order on a tablet and then returned 3 times to check order. Everyone had their food and I was told several times its on its way. It arrived after several people had finished their meals and I had cancelled the order. Yes the waitress apologised, no I didn't pay for it and no it was not something hard to cook - burger and chips. But really? How do you miss a meal? Not a good advert for future visits

As always, excellent. Our annual visit and once again full marks for the carvery. I had the best lemon cheesecake I've ever tasted, superb.

My partner saw the advert for a £12 lunchtime meal deal for 2 on her way to work. We call at the golf club on a day the course was closed due to the weather. Don’t know if this made a difference but the bar and restaurant area was packed with diners. The bar person Kelly advised us to order a drink and have a seat until a table was ready. We were happy to sit and look out of the window and admire the views. We only had to wait 10 minutes. I ordered the ham, egg and chips and my partner had the chicken fillet burger. Talk about ample portions ! Everything cooked perfectly too. It was nice to sit and eat listening to everyone else obviously enjoying their lunch in a busy lunchtime atmosphere. When we went to pay Kelly gave us details of their other menus including the Sunday lunch option. After today’s experience I can guarantee a return visit to this well run establishment.

Another to trip to BVGC for lunch with no prior reservation. As usual prompt and friendly service. Food was very good. We didnt go for the 2 for #12 offer although that would have been more than adequete. Booked for Mothers Day lunch 2 months ago as I wanted to be able to pick my time. This is a great place for food.

Just had a Sunday lunch here. We had a nice table over looking the golf course, the lunch was very nice, (Nice selection of veg) and friendly staff, all In all would definately recommend.

This is a golf club that caters for the public when it comes to offering the restaurant facilities. I have never played golf (and probably never will! ) but I was invited here by friends. The ambience was good; the food was good; the service was good; and the wine even better! I will certainly go there again given the opportunity. It's a place that has an entrepreneur at the head and he obviously knows how to attract a clientele with a good value lunch.

Excellent food both during weekdays and at the Sunday carverys. The staff are most friendly and welcoming. The surroundings are very pleasant and clean and a lovely atmosphere in which to have an excellent choice of dishes. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves their food.

Last Sunday four of us visited the golf club for Sunday lunch. The carvery food was excellent, as was the alternative a member of our party chose. A great choice of desserts! Pleasant and attentive staff both at the carvery & the table.

Excellent choice of food and deal options, lovely view in well kept restaurant areas, good quality value for money food and plenty of it. Excellent efficient and friendly service. Will definitely be going back. Meals we had included salad and chips. We ordered a cheese and ham toastie and the omelette and will definitely be back

Visited Burghill for a seniors competition. As we weren’t off until 2:30 arrived early for lunch. Excellent, locally-sourced food in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. I understand the club’s Sunday lunch also has a great reputation. Nice course, nice people!!

Met friends for lunch. Lovely room with nice views. Friendly staff and very efficient. Good selection of food and very well cooked. Prices are reasonable also.

We met friends and had a very nicely cooked simple meal. The food was excellent, good value for money and we did not feel pressurised to finish. We will go again.

I am not a fan of carveries but this is an exception. Lovely fresh veg, generous amounts of tender, tasty meat. Great staff. All in all an excellent meal in lovely surroundings.

Visited here for the first time & enjoyed a wonderful Sunday carvery style roast dinner. Two choices of meats & lovely vegetable choice also, the desserts were great too. We were lucky enough to have a table overlooking the beautiful golf course, all in all a lucky find. Definitely recommend booking ahead, as seemed a very popular place

We had just a fantastic day here , course, staff and food could not be better. I was supporting a charity and not a golfer but the welcome and facility was outstanding.

Our grandchildren live in Hereford and when we visit them we always go and have a meal out somewhere.

When for a game of golf after we stayed for lunch well two for £10 a real bargin good choice of food ,staff were helpful friendly nice setting plus open to non members well worth a visit.

What a lovely Lunch! A wonderful Carvery for all tastes. Plenty of choices, the Vegetarian Options although limited were rather nice. The Restaurant over looks the eighteenth fairway & green. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Wonderful value for money- great in this day and age.....

Visited quite a few months ago for Sunday lunch and this week visited two consecutive days with different friends and tried their 2 for £10 lunch menu.Plates hot food very good,staff attentive,definitely go again.

A cheerful welcome from David the Bar Manager with a choice of two Real Ales (both excellent) and not too late for the Sunday Carvery.Choice of Beef or Lamb beautifully served, good selection of roast & fresh vegetables to make a perfect Sunday Lunch and extremely good value at a fraction of the price one would normally expect to pay for a meal of this standard.We were lucky as we hadn't booked but it was busy and would recommend booking not to be disappointed.

The club house has been fairly recently modernised and updated, which has improved the entire look of the interior. We went for Saturday lunch. The prices are incredible. So reasonable and very large portions. All the food is freshly cooked to order. Our friends live in the village and go here quite regularly. I can see why. A real asset to the village.

We attended a retirement party a few weeks ago the food was very good the place very clean. Lots of parking a good venue for a party.

We have our awards ceremony at the golf club with approx. 60 people in attendance. Nothing was too much trouble, very friendly and helpful staff Had platters of hot food afterward which went down a treat. If you want a venue for an event, Burghiil Valley Golf Club is ideal at reasonable prices.

we arrived quite late on a Sunday lunchtime and were accomodated to eat in the bar. Restaurant was heaving. Very good carvery and dessert. Not difficult to c why booking advised. Good friendly service

After a very pleasant round of golf on Burghill Valley course which is beautifully laid out and superbly maintained it is a pleasure to enter an extremely friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the clubhouse and bar/restaurant areas. The food is simple but attractively presented and priced with something for almost everyone. What a pity more private golf clubs aren't as unstuffy and as well run as Burghill Valley. P.S. The range of products, clothing etc in the pro shop will amaze you. All in all a most enjoyable way to spend a day (or most of it)

We visited her for Sunday lunch for a family meal and were suitably impressed. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the food comprised of a carvery - well cooked roast potatoes & excellent gravy being the high points, as well as some scrumptious deserts our party had with salted caramel profiteroles & lemon roulade being especially good. There is a spacious feel to the dining area & also a pleasant patio area to sit outside if the weather is behaving, with the added bonus of catching the play on the 18th hole. All in all well worth a visit, with the new owner having ambitious plans to extend the dining area further in the future I believe.

We visited as a family to celebrate my Mother-in-Law's birthday; our youngest was 18 months old and the most senior is approaching his 90th birthday, All ages were catered for by the friendly and professional staff with nothing being a problem; whether that was the need for a high-chair or a request to bring out the Birthday Cake with candles ablaze before serving the coffees.The food was superb, a choice of beef or lamb (both cooked to perfection) and a wide range of vegetables, potatoes etc. A pleasant sun lounge with views over some of Herefordshire's beautiful countryside to relax in completed an unforgettable family celebration.

Had a bar snack prior to playing golf. The restaurant was full of people eating Sundau lunch. Service was quick and food very good value. I had a toasted cheese sandwich and my other half had a bacon baguette both came with chips. Golf course is in excellent condition and very quiet. Most enjoyable.

I went to celebrate a special birthday with my bestest friend and her friends spanning her 70 yrs. We were made to feel very welcomed by all the staff and their service was personal, polite and friendly but the food was outstanding,hot and cooked to perfection. All of the party spoke highly of the venue, staff and food and I on behalf of my friend hope you visit soon as "We" all would highly recommend it. If you were interested in golf it would be a bonus but the views were spectacular anyway. All I can say to the team is Thank you.

Went t the golf club with a golf society. We were looked after brilliantly by Ian and the team. They couldn't have done more. £37 per person for day out which included:- coffee and bacon roll.- 9 holes of golf in the morning.- ploughmans lunch.- 18 holes of golf in the afternoon.- 2 course evening meal (roast lamb and choice of desserts).Got to be honest, a great value day. Well stocked pro shop and everyone great (pro, staff, members, everyone). Course in great condition too.

Had a Christmas dinner. The choice was limited to turkey or beef. Very good service, the food was hot with plenty of vegetables. I had the roast beef, very well presented and cooked. Good selection of deserts.

We meet together as a family just before Christmas and a visit to Burghill Golf Club for a Sunday carvery has become a family tradition. The food is excellent and the service friendly. Seating accommodation is ample and the whole atmosphere is very enjoyable. Worth travelling to Hereford to meet the family and enjoy a good meal together.

good carvery for a good price worth what you pay puddings not so good .overall enjoyable with good company the wife said the toilets are not the best.

Used this clubhouse on 3 or 4 occasions last week. In fact was hoping to move to the location and become a memeber but unfortunately that will not now be the case - I will be missing out.Food was very good and at a very reasonable cost. Service was first class, nothing too much trouble.Although I will be based ver 10 miles away I will be back to try that famed Sunday Carvery.Club is very friendly to visitors that is not always the case with golf clubs that do food

Well worth a visit for weekday lunch and Sunday lunch is a superbly well cooked carvery, but you need to book in advance.

We went for the Sunday carvery, very nice, choice of 2 meats, help yourself to vegetables and potatoes. No long queues as you are advised when to go up. Staff are efficient and very friendly and the place has a nice atmosphere. Child friendly as well.
