What a terrible place to eat the food is becoming uneatable the staff are miserable and very expensive for what you get, seen this place going down each time I visited but today is the last time

Came here for a meal on the way home. Needed something quick and decent. It didn’t disappoint. Food was made to order and it was just what we needed. Staff were friendly and me and the kids left well fed! My go to burger place from now on!

The burgers were so good !!! One of the workers Emily was so nice and helpful and her customer service was spot on!! Would definitely recommend

Haven't had burger star in almost 20 years then found this the last one left and it's everything I had hoped for and more. The best fast food of it's type and amazing milkshakes plus friendly staff could not be happier honestly, giant thumbs up.

The worst place in the world. The staff are rubbish, the food is rubbish, I have no idea how they've managed to stay open for so long. If you want food poisoning, then go there. Its disgusting.

The burgers are always really undercooked, I let it slide the first time but I can now see it’s the standard way here…not pleasant. I also brought a really gross deep fried apple pie…which we had to throw away…because it was revolting. I asked to speak with the Manager and a young child informed me that there isn’t one…so who the heck is doing the health and safety and stock rotation?? Eat here at your peril I’d say…

I've been a regular customer since they opened in 81. The food quality is a known quantity, and that keeps me returning.

I was sat down in the shop about 13:10 a customer came in and ordered food and the young man behind the counter Put his hand up and coughing did not wash his hand and went to starting makeing the. Food I watch. Him and he did not go to the sink

Thought we’d treat the family to a decent burger whilst visiting family. Great service, lad behind the counter was very friendly. Food came out within minutes, piping hot too. GARLIC MAYO FOR THE WIN!!!!! Thought I’d try a milkshake, why not it’s nearly Christmas!! They were mega thick and the straws didn’t just go floppy after 2 mins. Can honestly say we will be visiting again when we see family! 10/10

Absolutely delicious and the ability to add however much of whichever sauce you want plus toppings like jalapeños and gherkins was unreal. I had the quarter pounder with cheese and my friend had the chicken option and we shared the mac and cheese bites (big recommend).

Food was ok. The staff member on the till just put a terrible spin on everything with his sarcastic remarks and smug gestures. Was warned about this place being the same 10 years ago, looks like nothing has changed. Seems like we are not the only people that have an issue with the hospitality judging from the other reviews. Would recommend avoiding the place unless you are into them Karen like restaurant experiences.

Normally great this Sunday 24 only customer through door, buzzer rings, bloke at kitchen looked at me blankly, girl stopped at the arch then proceeded to tell a long anecdote to rest of staff, after a while I had to say is anyone servicing here. Staff all chatting about their days which seemed to distract from cooking decent burgers as this time they Luke warm with cold buns. Need to remind staff it’s a job not a social club

You can’t beat a quarter pounder burger here with your choices of relishes and chips !! A meal in itself and puts fast food chains such as Burger King in the dark.

Popped in to get an easy evening meal for the family. Friendly chap on the counter and food was nice. The sauce station is a nice touch as good to see an alternative to the little plastic pouches. A bit more expensive than I expected but overall a nice meal

Weak. Years ago it was a lot better. The guy who took the orders did not seem interested. The food was not great . Owner needs to rethink the vibe.

Service was terrible, I went with 2 friends, the server messed up both their orders. By the time they received their food mine was cold.

A stalwart in Cheltenham for over 40 years & still in its original location. Other franchised Burger Stars (Ross-on-Wye, Gloucester & Tewkesbury) have come & gone, many turning into a poor imitation, with food quality not up to scratch. The original still stands out for the quality of its food and service. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it mentality." Slightly dearer than the mainstream corporate burger joint, still " Burger Star the best by far".

It's fine but times have changed. Reasonable quality, standard frozen patty. Decent bun. American cheese. Iceberg lettuce, onions and tomatoes. But frankly, my local chippy does the same. When you've got amazing burgers like Holee Cow down the road, Burger Star just doesn't quite cut it anymore. Sure, it's better than McDonald's or Burger King. But it's still a pretty basic standard burger. Fries were a bit bland too. Service was friendly enough and efficient. Decor is good: 80s style American burger joint, really clean. Perch on a stool if you want to eat in. So: good. I'll eat there again. But it's not an "amazing burger". It's not even the best burger in Cheltenham. It's just a decent standard burger.

I remember when burger star was the best burger in Cheltenham, don't get me wrong they are still nice but they aren't value for money atall, can get burgers that are much better for much less money, chips just taste like standard kebab shop chips.

Not great! I used to love burger star as a treat every now and then, (as they are quite expensive) however the last 2 times I have been there, over the last 6 months, it hasn’t been great. The standard has really fallen below par. Chips were tasteless, burger was pink inside and the bun looked anaemic. Normally it’s nicely toasted. Given how much it’s costs, you’d expect it to be pretty bloody good. I won’t be back for a while.

Not impressed. Burger was luke warm and very dry. Cheese was not melted as one would expect from a freshly cooked burger. I should know as I spent many years working for a similar business.

Scrumdiddlyumptous Slogan, burgers best by far is pretty much bang on. Forget all your McDonald's and Burger King, you want a proper burger 🍔 then this is the place to go. I've been going to Burger star for years, I absolutely love them. I introduced my girlfriend to them and got the same result and the same result again when we took her son. His description was a little more explicit than mine but basically enjoyed his burger It's a shame there aren't many shops around anymore I'd say the prices are competitive but I think it's worth every penny 😉 can't wait for my next visit.
