Burger King in Reading

Staff at counter too busy chatting to take my order in an otherwise empty store. Absolutely useless shouldn't have to order online when in store. Lost another customer

rather angry service this evening from Krishna at Reading Drive thru, online time said close 11pm I ordered through my app before 10pm, payment was accepted. Arrived before 10pm as advised on app, they had closed front door and drive thru early certainly well before 10pm . Krishna then very reluctant asks staff to turns on the apparatus to provide the burgers I ordered but had a go at me for "not being able to read " the opening times. A long wait in the cold to get my burgers!! I won't be using Reading Gateway bk again !

This is painful to review. The tables were dirty despite being unoccupied ocupied. The order system was glitchy. Found out Amex was not accepted on the 3rd try. The food arrived in the crush of a bag. Total 4 meals. The 3 chicken royals were all incorect. The ones without mayo had mayo the mayo fully loaded was plain. The plain double whopper with cheese had pickle a non removable option on the display screen. Unless you know the exact composition of the products. (If its an option pickle removal should be up there). The fries all except one were cold. Not salted. The bacon an option on two products was cold (like chilled cold) and v fatty. The self service drinks machine. Were dispensing all non carbinated drinks. (No co2). The cooling system had gone and there was no ice being dispensed. When I notified the team. No action was taken other than being told to use the other machine. For the next 20 mins the customers all dispenced flat warm drinks. There was more much more but we are running out of space. When your fast food meal is in excess of £40, this isnt good. Short of staff and direction. Burger King what have you become.. the founders would be turning in their grave..

I was quite inpressed with how clean the store was and I liked the new Peper loaded fries wich I think it is quite a good verity of chips

Ripped off and p1ssed off. We have just come back from the drive thru and paid £28 for 2 burgers and 2 med fries, I queried the price and was told it will only get more expensive! Wow great customer handling there. Was then handed the food by the window attendant who said it's all there as I started to check the food order, believing them I stopped checking. Drove 10 mins across town, opened the bag at home to find 1 burger missing 😳 £28 for 1 chicken royale and 2 med fries 😡 NOT HAPPY

Much better than that Burger King disaster in nearby Wokingham, Which really needs to be permanently closed down! Quick drive thru experience here, Shame you get free ketchup yep you must pay for mayo! What the hell is this about?

Every time I have a Burger King , I can only have a chicken royals because I do not eat cheese, if you try and say no cheese then they take everything else with it and you are left with the bap and meat which has no sauce and no lettuce. So even though the chicken royals was alright . That is what I am stuck with. I could have chicken nuggets.

None of the self-serve ordering screens were working. Only one person taking orders meant a growing queue. The person taking the order wasn't the easiest to understand. The burgers and chips were fine, but when we decided to have ice creams the queue was rediculous. So we decided to use the drive through. All the display screens were out of action, so nobody knew the menu on offer. Recommend they fix the self serve and display screens, employ staff who can understand and make themselves understood. Oh and employ a cleaner or two. The place was a mess. For a newish outlet this is not a good advert for BK.

Had 4 large fries from the drive through like 30 minutes ago only to find that 2 of so called large fries had only leftover bits solid as a wood. Can't understand how you can go wrong with fries. Charge full price for leftovers. Maybe the server wants to take back chips home hence serving customers leftovers. I will never go back or recommend anyone to go there. Please avoid them.

This has always been my fav diner stop before heading home. I find it always delicious, fresh, great service and always worth the stop. I definitely recommend this for a place to eat in and fast efficient drive thru. Thanks for sharing a wonderful meal every time.

I dunno how anyone’s got got bad things to say about here, let’s be real it’s the only drive through bk without including London, it’s convenient it’s came in clutch plenty of times and the food is the same as most of them 😂. So so slow takes ages to get your food then the order was wrong , not the first time here just seems to be getting slower and slower

Went into branch to get takeaway . Staff member couldn't understand English and had to get another team member to help with order. Took over ten mins to place the order as they couldn't understand I didn't want cheese or sauce in burger due to allergies. No apologies from staff for delay in understanding and I was made to feel wrong for making my order complicated due to allergy. They only seemed concerned with online drivers collecting orders. Overall the restaurant was dirty and unkept. Staff spoke in native tounge amongst themselves very loudly. Horrible atmosphere although the food was pretty good

Always a fast drive in service and hot food

Went there last night. Assistant manager was really rude. He has no manners and doesn't know how to talk to the customer. 😕 He doesn't understand his own system and the Burger King app. Refused to acknowledge terms and conditions.

Very tidy place and very fast service. I do enjoy going this restaurant a lot as it is not too crowded as most people simply order food for takeaway. Of all the fast food places in Berkshire, Reading Burger King has the best service and online coupons. The employees are friendly and the management knows how to treat customers!!

Strangely it is the first one I enjoyed as the meat Patty wasn't over cooked.

The food needs improvement, especially vegetarian meals .. Onion rings are great thought.

The order was completely wrong and when they corrected it everything was cold. Its an achievement when there is a limited menu to get everything wrong.

Its really expensive, cost more than 10 pound for one burger meal also burger was really cold but i was in rush so had to eat and leave

Car park appears to be full of caravans and food was appalling. Burger tasted of additives, onion rings tasted like rubber and as of microwaved. Service was good and quick but they don’t offer a breakfast menu at all.

Fast and delicious, like the movie fast and furious expect that they don't have fast cars or Vin Diesel. They do have really good burgers tho.

Standard burger king experience. You know what you'll get, great for a quick meal. I ordered the new Doritos chilli heatwave chicken fries and I didn't think they tasted like Doritos at all. I don't really recommend them

You get enough parking and seating place

Visited on a Saturday afternoon so that's going to make a impact on my review. Location was full of families with screaming children. The restaurant it self looked fresh but was very messy as the staff had not had a chance to clear tables or clean. I'm guessing they we're just too busy. Food was typical burger king, unfortunately one of the drinks machines were broken which caused a bit of a wait for refills.

The food was good but the restaurant was a bit to sterile no atmosphere and the staff were all hidden away when you saw them they were polite and friendly just seem a little separate from costumers

I always have such a pleasant time when I visit this store, service is amazing, food comes high quality and cleanliness of restaurant is always good.

Clean space to eat in and impressive customer service provided through drive through, and instore. Highly recommended place to eat away from the hustle and bustle of town area.

Ordered meal from just eat .Half was missing .Restaurant did not want to know stating we would have to go back through just eat .Could not get anyone to talk to . The rest of the meal was cold . THEY HAD THE MEAL NUMBER WHY COULD THEY NOT JUST SEND OUT THE BITS THAT WERE MISSING .WILL NEVER USE EITHER AGAIN

Closing time says 10 pm but they close the gates at 9 pm itself

We regularly use the click and collect feature on BK's website. Order in advance and then park in a specially reserved parking bay. Normally the food is brought out witij a few minutes. This time we were kept waiting for 45 minutes. Admittedly they were busy, but when I went in to see what was going on, I saw our order number on the display. Half qarter of an hour later
