Burger Island in Fife

Oh wow! Coeliacs of the World fly here for these Burgers. Fabulous. Travelling through Scotland and just googled gluten free and viola! Lovely place. Lovely Staff. Fantastic Burgers. Would have gone again but we were travelling on.

Was on a golfing Holiday with friends over in the area. We were staying next door to Burger Island. Place looked great from outside and noticed it straight away. We arrived late and needed some food and they were happy to serve us with closing time 30 mins away. Everyone enjoyed their selected burger/loaded fries and the prices were excellent. You're probably paying £5/8 more in any city centre. After our golf tournament we arrived back 10 mins before closing and they served us again! The wrap I got was excellent and well worth it again. Staff were very kind, put up with our chat and told us they do breakfast. Next morning we went for breakfast. French toast was really nice and exactly what I wanted. Friends wrap was "out of this world" and the full breakfast was "filling" Coffees tastes great and again the staff were very nice and the boss was welcoming and all chatted with us about golf (even though it was probably low in their interests) Place is a must visit when in town.

Just wow honestly just wow, came here on a spur of the moment thing after finding it on Google maps. The pictures look utterly amazing but sometimes pictures can lie.... However they don't, not one bit!! Amazing food great portions great packaging Had the black and blue burger with chorizo and Halloumi dirty fries. It's no small thing to say it was gobsmaking good, dirty fries just awesome and I had to finish those before getting to my burger which itself was juicy and perfect. Also had chicken wings as part of the combo. Wife had mac and cheese burger and my son had bbq pulled pork hotdog which he loved. Honestly will be back soon... Very soon. Amazing find!!!

Amazing food, been wanting to visit for a long time and glad we did. I had a bacon bad boy and my daughter the original hotdog with some sides and an oreo milkshake. Would absolutely recommend. Service was very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back soon.

From start to finish we had a great welcome and lots of help in choosing our meals - we're both over 60 so burgers are not our typical food. These were great. Enormous and filling beyond belief. We had just one portion of regular fries and that was too much for us oldies. This place has won loads of awards and quite rightly so. What I would suggest is to avoid really busy times even if that means eating a little later. They close at 9 and we arrived about 800pm. It means you get a seat more easily if you do that

Popped in for a spot of breakfast, our dog was made welcome & offered water and a puppucino. Food was 10/10 as was the service level and friendliness of staff. Highly recommend.

Food was amazing. Didn’t expect much with having a veggie burger but I was so impressed. 10/10. Looking forward to going back. Went on a Tuesday so I got 20% off too.

Visited here today with my partner and Frenchie the girls here wer fantastic made my little pups day with his puppacino and burger the food was outstanding could not fault it in anyway can’t wait to go back and try more.

This place never disappoints! The food and the Staff make this one of my "head too" places. Had a bad day, so Hubby treated me to one of their Christmas Specials. Yorkie filled with Fries, cheese, turkey/stuffing/bacon bits, pigs in blankets, and Gravy.....plus! A portion of Cranberry Sauce and more Gravy! Love love love this Place! Needed something quick AND good for myself & 2 Grandchildren. Burger Island was the youngest's idea , as was our choice. We all opted for Salt ' n' pepper chicken stacks. I'd only experienced plain or cheeseburgers before. (from you know where! ). Loved the decor - read the walls , menus & ceiling! Very nice lady took order. 10 mins later we're tucking in to what I can only describe as a delicious experience. I'd had my doubts but this was perfectly amazing. 1st visit - there will be more , so many options to try!! Thank you.😁

Ordered takeaway and it’s was fantastic. The highland burger was so good, you can tell they use good quality meet. Such a great find.

2 Burgers and a chicken burger. According to my wife chicken burger was good. The burgers, however, were dense and flavourless. Better from Asda, my son remarked. Bun soaked with grease. Chips excellent. 2 soft drinks. All in £33.00. My son commented to me, we have just been robbed! Many staff but all seemed to be chatting to one another throughout, difficult to catch their attention.

WOW JUST WOW !!!!!! I am very fussy when it comes to good quality food and visited today with my family and the food was to die for We will be coming back to burnt island again just to eat here. Mharie off to the staff Million percent recommended A++++++

Family holiday begins in BURGER ISLAND Burntisland! Grandkids had a blast! They devoured a cheese burger and fries. Keith had the Double Bacon Cheese burger big box. I had the Chilli Nachos (chilli was beautiful) and a side of Mac n Cheese bites. Great place for food and shakes after a day of FUN down the fair ground. Girls were lovely Charlotte was very attentive even though it was busy day with the sun being out was glad to get a seat! Thanks Burger Island we’ll be back! Irene

Took the wife and kids here for lunch before going Burntisland shows the food was amazing kids had chicken nuggets and chips and burger and chips me and the wife had the salt and pepper wraps these were amazing the only issue I had was deciding what to have everything looked amazing. Will definitely be back to try more

Got there had to wait 10mins until they opened, as 2 staff pottered around. Had to ask them to take our order. Others got served before us. I was honestly about to look for another cafe. Wish l had. Waited 20minutes for 2 teas (presented on slate..what a faff, milk presented in a cup!!,) coffee, 2 milkshakes to be brought out, £6 each and all squirk cream! Then the rolls eventually came out on a heavy wooden tray. What pretentious nonsense. Nothing special. All at Edinburgh prices.. £35, geesho its Burntisland for petes sake. Never ever go again. Service terrible not a smile or hello. Trying to be something it's not good mediocre at best. Avoid avoid avoid.

Awful, we had takeaways, order for three. I had the New York burger that had been deconstructed in delivery, bottom bun was completely in half and soggy so impossible to eat the burger! Chips were limp and uninviting, just awful! Big box meal was marginal for the price, bun on the burger was soggy but rest of big box was just ok! The salt and pepper wrap contained soggy chicken and the cheese took over because there was so much! (I think the bag of cheese fell this wrap) Should be called cheese wrap with chicken! I also ordered a side of onion rings - they forgot to put the onion in - the rest of the cheese bag was in these rings! We were very hungry so picked at our meal and fed the rest rest to the seagulls. I am visiting Burntisland and had a choice of many restaurants - sadly I chose Burger Island. Not again,I will change the venue next time.

This was our second visit and we were not disappointed. We both had a big box meal and there was more food than we could finish, really good value for money! There are so many different combinations to choose from and we were both pleased with our selection. The pulled pork I had on my loaded fries was particularly delicious and I would highly recommend! The staff were pleasant and friendly and service was quick. Definitely worth a visit!

Been here a few times now and I’ve yet to order a burger as the chilli nachos are my favourite! The chicken wings are also amazing with the garlic sauce. Staff are always lovely and friendly and doesn’t take long at all to wait for your meal. Highly recommend
