Love the food Great calm place, clean and friendly staff

I cannot begin to explain how good the wings and chicken burger was! The perfect blend between spice, flavour and “kick” on both the burger and the wings! I am well aware it’s just my opinion but I hunt out wings and chicken burgers and I know, it’ll take a lot to beat this place!! Well done and thankyou!

I visited Buns last Wednesday evening with a group of four. It wasn’t very busy inside, but it seemed like they were handling a lot of delivery orders 🛵 based on what I could hear. We decided to sit inside and enjoy our food 🍔. The decor and interior stood out to me—it’s really nice! I loved the pink theme 💖; it gave me Archie’s vibes (if you’ve been to Manchester, you’ll know what I mean). It’s a great place visually, which adds to the experience. However, I’ve rated them a 3/5 instead of a 5, and that’s mainly due to the customer service. The lady on the till didn’t seem too enthusiastic 😕 and was quite slow in taking our order. I’m not sure if she was new or just having an off day, but it did affect the overall impression. Some better training might help here, though it was my first visit, so I can’t say if this is typical or not. That being said, the food itself was great! I ordered the Donner Burger, and it was a good size 🍔. Honestly, I didn’t think I could have finished it if I’d gotten chips 🍟 on the side too. So, the portion was definitely satisfying. Things I would improve: The seating is quite limited, so it feels more like a takeaway-style place 🛍️ rather than a dine-in spot, especially if you’re in a bigger group. That said, there’s no major complaints apart from that and the customer service. I’d happily return for the food but maybe opt for takeaway next time or pre-order as it was a bit of a wait!

I wouldn’t even rate it a 1 star! The food was delivered an hour late after calling twice to ask for an update the first time the stall said the delivery would be 15 minutes. 30 minutes after I called the store again for them to inform me that the delivery driver was still dropping off other orders which they was meant to inform me about the first time but never did. The food was freezing cold when it finally arrived, the burgers were soggy and the chicken was lumpy. Service was shocking and was not considerate at all. I ordered a regular chicken burger and the chicken was spicy with no sauce.

Ordered via UberEats. Was late arriving by 30 minutes, and I was not updated on my order. Delivery driver struggled to find my address but very used to that so not an issue. The veggie burger was tasty (pictured, please excuse my massive bites lol), and I really appreciate that it was labelled as the vegetarian burger. Did not have much of a spicy taste but I didn't really mind. As a cheese enjoyer, I love how my veggie burger had 2 slices of cheese. My brother ordered the two meat burger which was huge! Cheesy fries were drenched in nacho-style cheese and delicious. Even though it was late, it all came warm - with the exception of the PeriPeri fries which were lukewarm at best. The PeriPeri fries had a good kick too. Overall, would deffo use again.

Ordered two of the buns boxes this afternoon, food was outstanding, portions are enormous, everything was spot on, I’d definitely recommend and will definitely be returning soon ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Take back all my previous reviews, ordered, took over an hour to come, phoned and person on phone very rudely could not tell me where my food was, and still money down, over an hour later and no food don't order.

The "buy 1 get 1 free" offer on uber eats is a total con.price of a box meal is £27!! Normal price is £13 so ypu actually buy one and get the other for £1 more

Delivery is shocking.. late, no details of where to deliver - they shouldn’t be allowed to use own drivers because they can’t be held accountable when delivery late.. I’ve ordered food from here for a long time but not again unless they use deliveroo properly.. waited over an hour for 3 milkshakes.. it’s such a shame because food and milkshakes are really good!!

Ordered 2 box meals, both came without burgers. Called to inform and get them sent, got called a liar and was very rude and wouldn’t refund, the box meal is £30 :| . Then recieved a call a short while later off them , prank call i think trying to say I’m commiting fraud on the restaurant. Weird behaviour I just wanted a burger on a Saturday night 😂 go elsewhere 👍

Wagyu burger is really tastie but the bun they use is terrible and getd soggy and not as enjoyable need a more stable bun potato or pretzel pattys are absolutely to die for tho but i paid 30 quid for a burger and tater tots didnt get the tots was ment get large fries and extra drink gott the nastyist fries i couldnt eat and mo extra drink so i paid 30 quid for a burger

Ordered food from here tonight. My friend said it was good and large portion sizes so thought we’d give it a try. Well… disappointed. Food took well over an hour to arrive, which I could excuse as it’s a Saturday night and I work in hospitality myself. However around the 55 minute mark I gave them a call to ask about progress as I could see on the app the driver had gone from the store in Lenton, to Arnold, then across to Basford and wasn’t even on his way to us yet. I was concerned that the food would be cold. I explained my concern and the person on the phone lied to me and said it only left the shop 10-15 minutes ago. Which I know is a lie as I’d watched the driver driving around Nottingham on the app for at least 30-40 mins. He then started shouting at me and raised his voice at me. I was upset and tried to ask for a refund and I was then again shouted at. So I hung up. About 15 minutes later the food finally arrived. It was cold, the chips were soggy as they’d put the cheese sauce directly on the chips and not in a pot or something. I didn’t want to call back as I can’t be bothered to be screamed at but I’m very disappointed. I work at Nando’s myself, I understand that it can be busy and long wait times sadly happen. And I wouldn’t have had an issue if they’d been polite and explained the situation. But the way we were spoken to was disgusting and we would very much like to receive a refund. My recommendation is do NOT order from here!

Just ordered through uber and after reading the reviews on here I didn't think my food would turn up and/or not be great. My order turned up on time ⏲️ We ordered the buns box lunch deal and everything was great. Burgers, wings and fries all fresh and tasted delicious will definitely be ordering again 👍

Ordered food through deliveroo around 17.15, it was supposed to be delivered 17.40, it's 18.52 now and no delivery in sight. I called the restaurant and was told that the driver tried to contact me (after already waiting over an hour!) which they didn't, I had my phone on me at all times and it didn't call even once, it works with any other delivery I had and the number is 100% correct. Then I was told it's gonna be another 30-40 minutes if I want to reorder since they're really busy now and can't make it any quicker even tho I've been waiting for 1.5h now.

My loaded fries were drowning in a sickening amount of sauce. Honestly expect better, sauce was all over the box and i couldn’t even see or taste my food due to the excessive amount of sauce. Do better.

If you want a reliable delivery and not lied to, don't buy from this place. I ordered via Uber. Was given an estimated delivery of between 10 and 30 minutes. An hour later I called to ask where my order was. The shop said the driver "had left 5 minutes ago" and we were 10-15 minutes away. Almost another hour later still no delivery. Rang the shop again to be told "it'll be with you soon" but when pushed the shop admitted they didn't know the status of the delivery. Absolutely terrible customer service, lied to and a no-show delivery. Ended up getting a refund from Uber.

Ordered from here and was shocked by the quality and the price. How are you going to sell a 'Meal for 2' and it only contains 1 burger and 1 dirty fries. So 2 people are meant to share 1 burger? Ridiculous. On top of that it costs £20 - the Cheetos burger is v average and the wings are tiny. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Ordered on Uber Eats. Was an hour late delivering. Told to wait 5 mins and hung up on, called back 15 mins later and hung up on and called again and was mid sentence on saying cancel the order and got told the guys walking down the street now. I live on a cul de sac, him must have parked all the way at the top of the road and walked down because after the third hang up I had to wait 2 mins for the food to arrive. And yeah it came sad, congealed in a solid ball of grease and fat that was disgusting. We didn't finish either burger and the chips tasted like cardboard after reheating they were that old. I don't know what's going off at Lenton or why it took us there not our usual Stapleford but if this is the quality there's then they need to pack up shop and gtfo because no chain can afford this much difference between 2 stores not far away. Uber refused to refund me, so I paid £20 for 2 soggy excuses for a burger, 1 chips and 1 shake. The shake was fine. I'll give them that but it's not hard to mess up. Avoid this place and I shall not be going back to either place again. Side not, WHY DID YOU OVERCOOK THE BURGER TO HELL? If it's fresh beef it should be medium cooked not annihilated and "crispy" what the hell is that about.

Used to love this place so much and spoke highly of it, but last 2 orders I have made have been way over 45 mins late food quality has dropped massively and I love my food!, and they just fob you off and say there really busy, so? Hire more staff then!! So now I'd actually say I'm never gonna order from here again I'll stick to proper burgers go to five guys or ohannes

Absolutely love the burgers at this place. The customer service was also top notch today. There is a small seating area but we enjoyed our meal there. The cheesy fries are really tasty!

This place has gone down hill so bad about year and half ago I use to always go to buns. They have changed the recipe so much there’s no taste in anything. And wow the prices are stupid they have raised them so much makes me wonder how they are still going

I ordered from this rest through Deliveroo. First of all they don’t have Deliveroo tracking , rather just give updates on their own. They charged me nearly £5 pound for the slowest delivery service I’ve experienced. The delivery guy left the restaurant with the food at the time the food was supposed to be delivered. I had to wait 2 hours and then I called the restaurant and they told me it would take the delivery guy 10-15 minutes more. The place is 10 minutes away!!!! You literally have to sit and wait for your order for however long they take and Deliveroo doesn’t do a thing. Plus you cannot cancel the order at any point without getting charged. Bravo!

Milkshake I had was nice but the loaded beef fries was not nice and left feeling an aftertaste in my mouth. From this purchase alone I don't think these guys know how to do cook beef properly. Tasted more like keema and the cheese had a weird zingy taste to it.

Ordered this on JustEat and the food came pretty quickly, the food was delicious and we all enjoyed the meal very much. Fantastic food, highly recommended.

Ordered from here tonight and the food and service was awful.. paid way over the odd for a can of ‘coca cola’ and got a can of barr rola cola, chips cold, burgers mushy 🤢 watch the menu it’s all fault advertisement!!! Spoke to restaurant twice as they had shortage on drivers which is fine. First call I mentioned about the food being cold they assured me it wouldn’t be long and it would be hot. I called again 40 minutes later where I was told my food had just left and had been sat under a heater. I expressed my concern about the food being hot as it had been sat there for almost an hour. The lady on the phone said it would be hot. I’ve just received the food and it is freezing cold. I’m so upset as I didn’t mind waiting for the food I just would’ve liked it to be hot and made fresh. Really disappointed, I usually enjoy food from here but this is a really negative experience and won’t be dining here again

Ordered off Just Eat and the food was absolutely amazing! We got 30% off when we spent £20 which was amazing! The food was gorgeous, the burgers were the best burgers we’ve ever had, and the milkshakes are incredible!

Ordered direct via their website where it stated 15% off on orders over £15, spent well over that and no discount was applied. Food eventually arrived after almost an hour and was just warm, unfortunately our drinks as part of the meal deals were missing. The food itself was good quality and decent sized portions. No way of being refunded via the website and have to call to arrange a refund in cash or future credit. It is doubtful we will order from here again.

Horrifically overpriced. The food is 30% more expensive than displayed on their own website. I asked for two items to be removed from my burger (raw onions and gherkins), and if they could replace them with grilled/caramelised/cooked onions. I was told I could, for a charge. Considering how overpriced their burgers already are, I found this rather insulting. They're more expensive than Five Guys, which is notoriously pricey. The kids meal was also a rip off at £8 for some nuggets, chips, and a Capri Sun. Milkshakes are now £7 each. The food did arrive quickly, although the "salad" in the burger was limp and almost non-existent. The burger bun was overcooked and dry - brioche should just be lightly toasted, not heated to a crisp. Chips were wonderful though. Customer service from the lady on the till was lacking. She was busy talking to someone about a job whilst I was standing there waiting to order, and she rolled her eyes when I questioned why they couldn't stick some cooked onions on my burger. The gentleman who brought our food out was lovely though. Value for money: 1/5 Customer service: 2/5 Food quality: 3/5

Every time I go food is on point. Love the loaded fries and the smash burgers I have tried all of them now, they are all good so can't choose which ones my favourite. Can't beat the milkshakes

Do not order from here. Been in store and it’s been fine however when ordering online it’s a different story. I ordered a chicken burger (I asked for no cheese on it) fries and a milkshake. They sent the burger with cheese on and forgot my milkshake? Doesn’t take a genius does it really. From my assumption it’s lazy staff not taking care of the order properly and because it’s ordered through uber it’s ‘out of their control’.

Waited an hour for delivery, gave milkshakes with no straws! Shows they don't check orders before they send it out! No quality control! When tryed to solve problem women over phone shows rudeness instead of resolving the matter, paid £3.00 for delivery and couldn't help with any solution! Milkshakes gone straight to bin, wasted time and money, this business is just talks no professionalism!!

Burger was well assembled with fresh ingredients but chips weren’t the freshest. £12 is too much for a cheeseburger, fries and can of of drink. Especially when the burger wasn’t something to write home about

Poor quality food for a high price. Spent £30 on chips and wings between 2, the wings were bland and the breadcrumb coating was soft and mushy. We had tried the buffalo sauce which was pungent and tasted pretty vile too, and the barbecue sauce was generic shop bought. The chips were quite clearly oven chips, some were colder than others and there was that distinct flavour that comes with frozen food. No seasoning whatsoever. We also tried the loaded chips which were drowning in American cheese sauce and a large amount of spring onion, they were also spicier than the buffalo wings yet with there was no spice level indication/disclaimer. If you’re looking to eat here, don’t, save your money or go elsewhere. You could probably find the exact same products at an Iceland’s.

Previous two orders via deliveroo have had missing items. Not sure how its so difficult to pack a few items for an order. Shame as the food is nice, will take my service elsewhere now.

I used to order from here quite often but stopped doing so as 9 times out of 10 the food arrives cold and the coating on the wings is not edible, I let it slide a couple of times but now the the wings always come hard and cold, buns have lost a customer I used to spend over £60 a month here but not anymore, fix your food!!!

Avoid at all costs. Worst £15 I’ve ever spent on fast ‘food’. Ordered the yo spicy beef burger and asked the lady twice for no gherkins however it still came with a generous amount on it. Waited 15 minutes for the food which I thought was a good sign however how wrong was I. On my second bite of my burger (if you can call it one as it’s a thin patty on bread not a burger) I hit a piece gristle and it almost cracked my tooth. Even the bun tasted strange. The loaded fries were no better!!! Layer of synthetic ‘cheese’ over the chips and I could see the pure grease/fat within this yellow substance and again gristle loaded mince covered that literally had no taste whatsoever. I can honestly say this was the worst ‘burger’ I’ve ever had and I’ve had many in my years. I will never visit this place again and wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Stick to five guys or even maccies!!!!!

Tried buns today as a first time. Place is well presented and staff are friendly. Ordered a spicy chicken burger and 6 wings. Served fairly quickly within 10 minutes. Burgers was a mess when opening the wrapper but once you fight your way through it’s an alright tasting burger. The wings however was like having cement on your wings for coating. Super rough and tough. Didn’t enjoy them at all and left cut up feeling in my mouth. At nearly £1 a wing I wouldn’t have these again.

Terrible experience. Dirty fries were a tiny portion with barely any beef on them. Boneless wings were dry, hard and looked microwaved. Only flavour they had was house buffalo and was recommended as nice by staff. It was disgusting. Over priced and terrible food. Save yourself the pain and eat somewhere else

Avoid I went today to buy yo spicy burger only the burger and found out the price went up from £6.95 to £7.95!! That's for only the burger not the meal!. They are thieves using their customers. And the girl in the front was writing and looking down while taking my order! Disrespectful skunks be aware avoid. I told her forget it and went and bought a full meal of Kebab from Best Kebabs restaurant a mile away for only £7! Avoid Buns and never buy from them their prices are very expensive and now went even higher! Don't let Buns use you I make so big money monthly and I afford to pay more but never allow nobody to use me and don't like to see people get used

Overpriced and food is less than mediocre.

I tried buns burger many times Their buns classic cheese is so delicious Philly cheese steak is alright, still needs that kick I tried their ruff rustic and the ziggy chips, the ruff rustic is much better. Last but not least is their crispy chicken burger, first it was nothing like the picture, it was really really oily, felt like eating a deep fried bun with old oil, it was a real disappointment, if I wasn't hungry I wouldn't have eaten it at all. I always order with Deliveroo and it arrives very fast every time. Update: I ordered a cheeseburger and they brought me their dirty fries with it for free, it was soooo delicious, its now my fav item from buns
