Monmo's Grill in Nottingham

Had take away delivered by uber eats. Very tasty food with reasonable prices. Had Beef and chicken sizzlers, and mixed bbq which was very nice. Pizza was one of the best in Nottingham. Peri peri chicken strips were ok enough, like other places.

We ordered a Monmos special pizza to pick up. As the ingredients weren’t mentioned in the official website , we were under the assumption that it was chicken. We don’t eat pepperoni, hence we had to go back to the store to return it and get a chicken pizza. It wasn’t even the wrong pizza that was the problem ( also partly our mistake) , the attitude the staff had toward this was pathetic. He criticised my poor choice of pizza and used a very angry tone like it was my fault. After which I showed them the website and how the ingredients weren’t mentioned. I didn’t even get an apology for the tone he used. Horrible staff but good pizza.

Extremely slow service, average food and ring of fire the next day from the kebab and chips. Not nice. Won’t be returning

Got a quick takeaway order of shish and kebab on naan bread, very tasty and the medium spice is just spicy enough for tasting the food and spice together.

I paid £28.95 by cash and they didn’t give me a discount though there was a sign that said all customers get a 10% discount if the meal was paid by cash. But this guy was lying and he didn’t give the discount and lied by saying it was for students. He was really rude and doesn’t know how to treat customers. Also the quality of the food is very poor. This restaurant needs to have good servers as it’s in the area pf universities of students. This is not right and needs to be dealt with. I’m very disappointed

I ordered my food firstly they didn’t give the correct amount of change then I got my £10 back after the food was absolutely disgusting and we gave it back and never got a refund. I ordered 2 wraps and the proportions were not good I lost alot of money for a wrap and the tiniest bit of chicken. This is not an amazing place. Very disappointed

Seriously, I don't know how they cook the Peri² Chicken, it's taste so amazingly delicious. How you guys do that! Omg I love it so much. The signature of this place is the peri² chicken, miranated & grilled so well, the chicken so juicy & so soft that when I bite the chicken, I can taste the juicyness of the chicken. The best place to buy peri² chicken. The chips are nice. The pizza is delicious loaded with I highly recommended this place. So delicious you won't regret it. Good portion, actually big portions. The loaded price comes in big portion you can share with 2 person. Mixed grill also delicious. They have a meal deal buy one free one. It's totally 100% worth it. The food tastes amazingly delicious. I love peri² chicken from Monmo's Grill.

Lamb chops are hard and chewy from inside and burnt outside work on it and piza base iss too thick make it a bit thin please

Food tastes amazing, quality food, especially the peri peri chicken, pizza is better than most and the Chips are really good too. The only thing is they have messed up the order on more than one occasion so they ain't perfect but close enough I guess. Just do better with checking your orders before dispatching guys... Again, I want to reiterate the food is exceptional! So can't fault them for that. A+++

One words " Extremely deliiiiiiciiioussssssss......" Love the food. Order's from them more than 4 times since we tried them for the 1st time early this month. The peri² bang on so delicious. I had peri² chicken from so many places. I can say this is the best peri² chicken in the whole Nottingham. Soon, I'm going to order from them again. Highly recommended 👌

The food was absolutely amazing, staff are very nice and friendly. The main problem is when you eat in it is too cold they don’t have heating inside and the door is constantly being left open by delivery drivers or customers.

Ordered online for the 1st time yesterday, Peri Peri Chicken was very tasty and saucy, unlike other shops where the chicken is very dry, recieved with some nice boxes of salad and sauces...will definitely order again! :)

Ordered my food turned up to collect the food as they did not answer my calls. To then be advised they still haven’t made the food zero apologies given rude staff was not that busy I seriously hope management can provide staff with training to exercise orders placed. Instead the lady working at the front was more so flirting with the Deliveroo drivers. Well done 👏

Forgot about my order, had to ask for it after waiting for 15 minutes. Menu states "Kebabs served with naan and chips or rice". Finally received my kebab only to receive no naan. I questioned this and was told that it was either naan or chips or rice. I highlighted that their menu said the opposite and just got a "sorry". It seems to me they're taking advantage of drunk people expecting they won't know. On top of that the kebab was mediocre at best.

Food is normally really good. But tonight I asked for a vegetarian hot and they put chicken on it, luckily I’m not a devout vegetarian and the chicken is tasty but any veggies out there please double check your pizzas. Veggie hot pizza has chicken on it.

Delicious, juicy peri peri chicken at a bargain. Was not a fan of peri peri chicken before, but this place changed me. The kebab/shawarma with rice is good too. Delivered on time with a smile (via Just Eat).

Ordered from here and not one single staff member smiled. They were all not wearing gloves when handling food and the price of the food is a rip off. I would not recommend

This place is amazing and unique. Their chicken is some of the best around. And the sauce they use is delicious. Very fair portions. Their mild option was perfect, as it was not too spicy but spicy enough for people that enjoy some spice in their food. 10/10

Three times now I’ve been given the wrong flavour of chicken, despite letting the team know. In addition to this the chips just have a pile of peri salt thrown on them making them inedible as they were just drowned in salt. The food from here has no finesse.

Me and my boyfriend order from here sometimes and every time the food is absolutely amazing. The chicken is juicy and delicious!!!! You can tell they use good quality ingredients- salad was really fresh- honestly i could never run out of things to say. Will definitely be ordering again when we have a craving for grilled meat 😄 monmo’s does it best. 2000/10 👍

I I could give 0 stars I would bad service diddent ask if I wanted chilly needed a spoon to eat my dinner meat chopped to bits really bad £6.99 for kabab ate a 10th of it if that. Chips was nice if you like greesy nasty s#@t

Used to be great portions and prices but not so much anymore.. I get everything's going up so that justifys the price, but there's no justification for the portions to get smaller.. shame as the food is banging.

I have ordered here via Uber eats and inside the restaurant many times and it’s always a 10/10 experience. Their grilled meats are high quality, never greasy, offering healthy options and their salad is always fresh. I get mozzarella sticks & fries often and they are always made fresh to order (aswell as everything else). The 10% student discount is great too, especially during these tough times. Every visit is always a satisfied one, I will keep returning here :)

It's nice, but there getting tighter with the chips and salad and price just seems to be going up and up everytime..

Hi had a mini combo a few times. Taste great. Well worth the money. And it's a nice and clean place to eat. And you can see how they cook its a open kitchen . And a good menu at good prices pluse owners and staff are nice and polite

I’ve eating fast food after gigs in 30 countries and the peri peri thighs and side salad Monmo has just served me is one of the BEST fast meals I’ve ever had. £5.79 eat in on clean comfy benches and wooden tables = amazing value.

We ordered 2 chicken sizzlers whcih were on buy 1 get 1 freee offer however the the 2 trays combined waa probably less than one portion. there was a small amount of chicken not generous portions at all. will not be re ordering again sorry.

Some harsh reviewers on here reveal the truth about the customers at this place! "Everything was great but because of this one fussy thing which no one else cares about, am just gonna 1 star it"..some not fair reviews. This place does high quality style grill food for a reasonable prices. I love the mixed shish and tikka from this place and they serve with 5 item salad such as peppers, not just the usual boring lettuce onion maybe some tomato cucumba. Peppers and red cabbage also! Comes in metal recyclable box with cardboard lid so it actually stays hot off the grill and absorbs steam moisture with the lid doesnt go soggy like those serving in plastic trays! Portion of Chips are enough for one, or two if just share snacking so if you order something with "portion of chips" to share with three or four people, then recommend ordering extra portions. This place also does philly steak burger when all other places just have those cheap pattys, this place for a quid extra, is serving high quality thinly cut steak burgers! Anyone not giving this place at least 3 stars for effort to help the business out and stay open is being a total muppet and dont know what good quality is. I drive from forest fields to this place even though have plenty other options because this place is best value for really high quality grill food. Dont order something boring from here you can get anywhere else yes they do offer options but this is a proper grill so treat yourself to some grill and you wont be disapointed dont just buy a doner and chips you can buy anywhere although the donner here is best quality meat strips with perfect seasoning, not the overly salty taste like eating rubber donner . I come here once a week and really i hope it doesnt change or start getting too greedy like some other places over charging. 8.50 is perfect for shish tikka full salad and chips for me,.. or steak burger mmm..some other places charge that for mixed grill, so then this place wins on overall quality which is why i drive here. Get plastic cutlery or eat in with metal. I cant believe someone 1 starred this because they were offered to eat in with metal cutlery, rather than being rushed out asap without any at all... And i feel sorry for staff when i saw them letting unappreciative drunk people use toilets when most places just put an out of order sign up to save the hassle! To give this place any less stars than 4 stars would be criminal or maybe 3 stars at worst if they really genuinely did mess up, not just because you are fussy! Maybe the 1 star reviewers are jelous takeaway owners.. Like chips are chips but important thing is, are they served hot, and are they served in paper to absorb heat moisture or served in plastic trays that cant be recycled and ends up melted from heat and then going soggy from trapped moisture inside!..for me this place has always been a 5 stars for a fast food takeaway what it is. If it was trying to be a gordan ramsey resteraunt then would get a 3 stars, but its not , its a fast food takeaway with capital fm radio blasting out, but serving high quality like nandos style grill food, so it gets 5 stars from me! Polite friendly staff having to deal with drunken idiots late at night as they walk home from town they have such patience, dunno how they cope..its the only thing i dont like about the place when i drive down sober at about 10pm for late night food, but loud customers aint their fault, and they treat everyone with kindness and respect so cant not give them 5 stars. I love this place. The lady is so nice and polite, The guy just smiles at everyone coming in while grilling food..has to be a good reason if you dont give this place 5 stars.

don't know why the reviews of this place are so low I went today and I had a great experience, ordered 4 wings and chips w a drink as part of a meal for just 4 pounds and they hooked me up with a extra wing. The staff were also extremely friendly I remember I kept asking for the garlic mayo since I kept running out and they showed me great patience. Will 100% be returning.

Genuinely loved this food so much!!!!! Not even joking. I’m normally very picky - but let me tell you - the chicken was soooo tasty. Came so hot as well (thanks to the delivery driver & restaurant) chips were yummy and fresh too and the pizza was just very nice too. Just what I was fancying. Deffo ordering from here again!!!! Portion size was a concern of mine following a review but they didn’t skimp out, the portions were huge for the price. Full tummy, content and feel so satisfied. Thanks guys!!!!!

Worst food and management Poor quality food and service.

Walked in and was rudely greeted by a lady who seemed to think it was abnormal to ask for METAL cutlery. Rolling your eyes at customers isn't really a good example of customer service...The chicken was rubbery and tough. Such a shame that this restaurant has ruined the good reputation the chain had.

Ordered a meal for 5 via Uber Eats. 5 burgers, 1 extra large fries and peri peri rice. The burgers were decent. The peri peri rice were basic pilau rice and not peri peri, the large fries were a ridiculously tiny portion as can be seen in the photos, this is how they arrived, unbelievable and unacceptable. You'd expect reasonable portions for a takeaway that costs over £60. Our 1st and last order.

Good taste but not enough, the box that the food came in looked big but was very shallow and wide so the food got cold quickly, tricking your eyes. Because of the shallowness I realised that it was much less in it than I expected, even if I ordered large. Would maybe have returned if there were fewer other restaurants around. I don't eat with my eyes, sorry.

Ok you might not drop by . You might think it's some other type of Nandos.. But this is way way better.. we had the chicken strip rice and it was very very good.. Will be back . Though not sure why kids that look like kids did not get student discount..
