Bunbun Restaurant in South Tyneside

Had a fantastic dinner.The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was amazing, best meal we have had in a while! Lovely atmosphere, would recommend.

Ordered food for delivery. Took 2 hours to arrive. Food was cold, meat on pizza was hard and stale. Burger luke warm as had been wrapped in tinfoil. Obvious food had been sat for a long time before being delivered. Really disappointed! Normally good service and food. If too busy to do delivery don't have as an option. Wasted money food straight in the bin!!! Won't ever use them again.

Ordered online. Order sat for over an hour ready according to the tracker before delivery over and an hour and a half after ordering. Took another 45 mins after calling and heard them talking between themselves stating it was ready. Came stone cold. Don’t offer a service if you can’t handle it and taking peoples money

The place has a nice atmosphere. Staff are welcoming and friendly and on the night we were there, they had two large groups (one of which was us) and the food was delivered promptly without undue delay. Starters were excellent. The mains were okay, enjoyable and tasty which is what you want really. My only gripe is that they charged extra for condiments.We spent over £700 but that's not really the point it's more the principle. It was 50p per portion, which is not a lot of money but I think is ridiculous for a restaurant like this to charge for them.

This was my first time at Bunbun having been to Mambos (previous name) before. 2 adults and 2 children went for the early special 2 courses, the mains were steak, chicken kebab, margherita pizza and chicken nugget, with chips. The decor is smart and clean, staff were friendly. Only downside was the time it took to be served. Everyone though enjoyed the meal/treat.

Been here today for Sunday lunch. First family to arrive upstairs. After waiting well over an hour our food had not arrived, and the family who arrived after us had finished and were leaving. We left without eating lunch. We won’t be back!

sevice was good no complaints there, pizzas tho don't get much worse ,massive crust ,no flavour at all ,terrible dough . no chilli sauce available bar chilli oil ,must of been scotch bonnet !!!chefs must of changed

Starters weren’t our favourite but could have ordered the wrong thing as last time we visited we really enjoyed the mussels. Service was good however had a slight issue with timing of food but was picked up on. A special mention has to go to manager Alex he made sure that everything was alright after the issue and made it his priority to put his customers first. Unreal cocktails especially the Pink Gin Punch. Will be visiting again!
