Buddha Mama in Wiltshire

The delivery time was unacceptable. The order and payment were taken but 1 hour later no food. When I spoke to the restaurant the attitude was poor. As in it is still cooking and should be 30 mins. 30 mins to cook some food..... really. Our boys were looking forward to a family meal but are now too tired to enjoy the treat. Happy Friday.....

Excellent food since new owners took over last year. The vegetarian selection os excellent and the veg has not come out of a packet in the freezer - Tofu mmm. Queries and requests always dealt with. Never had a bad meal from here. Won't go anywhere else in Wiltshire for takeaway!

Lovely food! Quick responses for any questions asked. The new management have really turned this place around. (Lemon chicken is GF and fab!)

This is probably the best Chinese I've ever had. I'm very fussy with getting takeaways and I always check their hygiene rating. I'm so pleased to see that since changing ownership, Buddha Mamma has a maximum 5 hygiene rating. Ordering was easy, delivery was quick and polite and the food was perfect. Ten out of ten.

Banging takeaway. Best I've ever had to be honest. 5 stars. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Top marks

The first time, I went, a young lady, who had not much customer experience, took my order. Special Curry. Fried Rice. Now. EVERYWHERE else £5.10 would be Curry AND Fried rice. No. Not here, £5.10 was Curry. £2.70 for fried rice! The 'Young Lady' patronised me, as I left. "Enjoy"! She did not mean this, at all! It was a platitude! Second (& last) time. The young lady behind the counter, was dreadful. She could have said "What can I get for you"? She, did not. She just stared at the till until I intervened! I went was last friday. 'Pancake Roll & Roast Duck Fried Rice'.....Yum! Alas, the pancake rolls were cold, in the filling, which, also was insipid! The duck on the fried rice was exceptional, as well as the rice! But, on the menu, it states 'Large Container'.........Read 'Small'......'Stupidly, small'!

I wish I had not walked through the door. My advice don't just don't. It was without doubt the most disgusting place I have ever been.

To be fair this is probably the best Chinese takeaway in Trowbridge, it doesn’t say much for the others. We ordered a meal for 2 through the online booking system for a home delivery, it said it would take up to 1 hour before the Food arrives, this was ok as we ordered it fairly early so it wasn’t to much of a problem. After 90mins it still hadn’t arrived?so I called them and the young lady said it was just been sent out and would be about 10mins, I said ok BUT if it turns up any later it will be cold and I would send it back. It arrive about 25mins later and guess what it was cold, so I wouldn’t take delivery. That’s another Chinese takeaway we won’t be going back to in a hurry. Just another thing, as any body noticed that none/most of the reviews given to these takeaways many Chinese.....don’t get any response, my guess is that they don’t really take any notice because they no on average most people will return......not me.

We ordered a takeaway which stated it would take 45 mins to arrive. 60 mins later still no order so I called up. Gentlemen wasn’t very friendly, he just said it’s on its way, he didn’t ask for my name or order number. So I asked can you check my order has been placed which he said all the deliveries go out together. Obviously by the time it turned up 80 mins later it was freezing, we were missing a side dish completely and another side dish they had improvised on which I’m guessing they had run out of.

Order at 7 o'clock deli ery driver turned up at 9 o'clock. Glad I was going to pay in cash so I could turn the driver away. They have my contact details so could of called me. Tried to call them over 20 times and just got number busy or no answer. Will not use again.

Pre ordered online before the business opened. Food arrived promptly and was hot. Egg fried rice and sweet chilli shredded chicken was great. Sweet and sour chicken was the best I’ve had from a Chinese takeaway!

Been here loads of times, never disappointed. Delivery is fast and food is always hot and tasty, fab.

Had my 1st take away last night from here. Every one left half their meal. Worst Tastless meal I have ever had. Chips soggy chicken balls so crispy I couldn't eat. Save yer money & eat some where else. Worst meal I have ever had. Should of phoned up & said to take it back.

Had a takeaway from here last week and the food was delivered fast and it was hot and tasty. Special chow mein was nice. Lots of meat and it wasn't rubbery or salty like some others. This week it awful. Mushy meat in small chunks, only 3 small prawns and a salty slop sauce. My partner had a pork dish and the pork tasted like burnt plastic. Unfortunately most of the food hit the bin. Such a different experience to the week before.

Ordered a special fried rice. The portion size was a joke. Those plastic containers are small enough, but when it’s less then half filled there is a problem. Rice as an ingredient is not expensive. How you can justify a price of £5.40 for what I received tonight is beyond me. Yes the food is nice, but the portion sizes are ridiculous. I definitely will not be returning. You have lost my custom. A takeaway is a treat and an expensive one at that! Felt robbed!!

We were recommended to try here. Having read the reviews we were sceptical, and so cautious and picky when eating it. However, I can honestly say we had great food.

A lot of these reviews on here are. Or relevant to this establishment as it is since under new ownership. I have to say my meal was superb and arrived before the estimated 45 minute delivery time

La primera vez para llevar desde aquí siguiendo varios llevar pobre de mi habitual. Y dijo la entrega ordenada sería de 45 minutos. 20 minutos de laterita llegamos. Calientes y la mejor comida china que he tenido en mucho tiempo. El chow me especial era preciosa, como la dulce y agria, pollo. Parientes todos comentamos lo bien que estaba. Sin duda ordenar desde aquí.

Some of the food was just ordinary, but it was plentiful. My satay was just pieces of pork in a sauce

4 de los 6 platos eran horribles. Tostadas de gambas era incomible, y como masticar goma empapados. De pollo y maíz sopa parecía tan aguadas y sobre cocidas huevos crudos, el pollo satay salsa era como jalea marrón y sabor horrible, cerdo frito arroz estaba seco y duro.

Second time running items missing this time waited 2 hours fir items to ne delivered call them said will try and drop money off later in the night so bad customer service

Under new management and I think since most of the last reviews!! Quick and hot food which is always a bonus. Over ate... Always happens with Chinese Kung po pork and shredded chicken was lovely. Chicken in chow mien was juicy with nice big pieces.

Hemos tenido comida desde aquí unas cuantas veces y nunca he tenido cualquier cosa mala. La comida es muy buena y está muy caliente, una buena relación calidad-precio también.

Not sure why there's bad reviews for this place , we weren't expecting much but were very pleased with our takeaway ! The salt & pepper prawns were very nice and the menu had a good selection for all tastes. We ordered a lot of different food for an evening with friends and it was all very tasty, well cooked and well presented with plenty of flavour. I would recommend if you like Chinese and Thai food!

I can't understand why the other reviews on here are so negative!Although this isn't the the best takeaway in the world, it is definitely among the better ones in Trowbridge.I have been here many times, and have never experienced bad food or service.The food is tasty enough, the delivery is on time, and many of their dishes use fresh ingredients.I would certainly go back.

This place gave me awful food poisoning and earlier this year recieved 1/5 on food hygeine, I will be reporting to environmental health as it has made me very ill. Totally unacceptable! How do they keep the place going!? Do not reccomend!!

Arrived quickly but all pretty tasteless, had the mixed appetizers then sweet & sour chicken with egg fried rice. Would not recommend and won't be trying it again.

Put simply, we found a beetle in our food, and in sorting this out, the manager could not have been ruder. He told me that he did not believe me, despite me only asking for £5 back, rather than a total refund. Do NOT order from here.

Ordered take away from here thinking it would be good as per the 5 star rating on just-eat.com. What a mistake, over an hour and a half wait, then it was cold, then had to wait again, as one of the main meals had been forgotten!! Poor experience!! If I had of been given some form of apology I would of put it down to a one off. But because of no apology (or even attempt of an apology) I will be never be going again!!
