I booked a room at this hotel through Agoda. Big, big mistake. Avoid that site like the plague. They have all the tricks in the trade to avoid you communicating with them. I needed to cancel the booking because I found that the hotel was much further from my destination than I had realised. Tried through Agoda. no chance. So tried to phone hotel. First time after three long attempts a waitress answered and said she couldn't cancel a booking but the owner will be back in 2 hours, She will give him a message. He didn't phone back. Next day, I tried to phone them three times. Each call timed out. I am 84 and use hotels frequently, usually 3 star or above at least 10 - 15 times each and every year since I was 20. The place is clearly a pub / restaurant which runs a few rooms B&B on the side - very unprofessionally have never experienced this degree of non-contact ability.

Lovely pub in nice village setting. Really Lovely walks nearby. Plenty of seating and food quite nice.

13 friends and family met up to remember a lovely lady who died 11 years ago. We were going to one of her favourite places The Snowdrops at Warnford and had booked the Bucks Head for lunch. We all had a lovely lunch with great food and service. Our waitress was Calypso who was ably assisted by what seemed like lots of young men in grey jackets. We will be back.

Very tasty wood fire Pizza for eat in the pub garden or takeaway (there is also normal pub food menu). Staff struggling a little a busy times but that is expected as they are doing table service outside in accordance with current Covid restrictions. Nevertheless we were made to feel welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our food, would highly recommend.

Visitamos para almorzar en familia hoy y esta fue nuestra primera visita aquí. La comida estuvo muy buena. Teníamos asados y pizzas y todos eran de muy alta calidad y frescos. El servicio también fue amable. Desafortunadamente, nuestro postre (masa para galletas) estaba demasiado cocido y era más como una galleta y un helado, pero el que no estaba demasiado cocido estaba delicioso. Ese fue el único inconveniente menor, pero el resto de la experiencia fue realmente agradable. Definitivamente regresaría.

Wickham Square
Well, the Old Tea House appears permanently closed and the village has lost a great asset and social hub . For the last year, the venue has appeared extremely confused about what it wants to be and who it is catering for. Clearly its former customer base felt the same and have stayed away in their hordes. This has been a tea room for as long as I remember- I recall coming here as a child decades ago and I think it is a tragic loss to the village. It is a wonderful spot to sit outside and watch the world go by or to sit inside in inclement weather. The best thing the owner could do for the village is to sell or lease it to someone who wants to bring the soul back. Tragic.

Bit boring. Ok burger, nothing special, It feels like a helium balloon with half the air missing. You think it must have been quite impressive at some point, but not when I was there.... Also when the restaurant has the word friendly and Phil in the title, I dont expect to meet a guy called Phil but anticipate the staff would be a bit more lively.... They were not..... On a scale of dead to TGI Fridays they were a 3......

Garnier Road Garnier Road Car Park, Winchester SO23 9PA EnglandHave not been here since pre Covid. Other reviews were not so good, but we had no complaints. We were early on a Sunday morning so although quite a few people the service was not slow. The coffee was excellent, and the carrot cake jolly tasty. The toilets were very clean. For me I trod carefully on the terrace which did look a bit slippery.

Unit 4, Third Avenue, SouthamptonI was inspired to write this review by seeing a Greggs eating numpty slamming the place for price. Yeah, they're not cheap but you're paying for quality ingredients and an amazing product which is value for money. For less than a fiver you're getting a huge sweet treat with complex flavours, a very satisfying, delightfully flaky pastry and a very satisfying and filling experience. If you want a hit of sugar and bland white, air filled bread? There are cheaper options! You won't get a limp chicken pasty here. If you want extremely satisfying bread made with high quality flour and an amazing crust? If you want tasty, sweet pastries with a delicious zing? If you love good food rather than ultra processed? Then this won't bust your budget and will fill you up. The venue itself is a warehouse with some benches other branches are much nicer.

Royal Oak PassageI write my reviews on paper straight away but I’m late uploading to Trip Advisor. This is a great old pub which is full of history. I had the peri peri chicken. It was good but very hot. Next time I would ask for sauce on the side but that is just my particular taste. My husband had the steak ciabatta with salsa verde. He didn’t enjoy because of the salsa verde. He’s never had a salsa verde with basil in but this one did and he hates basil. He’s had salsa verde so many times, all without basil. Since learnt that some people do now add basil. So he will now ask when ordering salsa verde if it has basil in. Great ambience and would definitely return.
