Buckets Sports Bar & Restaurant Beachcomber Cleethorpes in North East Lincolnshire

I went yesterday with my two sons and we were pleased to see it wasn't very busy.i ordered 2 fish and chips and peas which for 15 pounds each i did expect it to be a bigger portion but it certainly wasn't worth the money.my youngest son ordered a pizza costing 14 pounds again very expensive very over cooked and only just warm.we waited 55 minutes for our food my youngest son who is autistic was getting very bored to say the least.after 40 minutes of no food i asked the young girl at the bar how long would it be? She was very sullen and not friendly at all the other staff were nice especially the young lad who finally brought our food anyway she said its frying now and 15 minutes later it arrived.i paid £55 for 2 fish and chips and a pizza plus a glass of coke glass of lemonade and a pint of lager.i wont be going again far too expensive we waited far too long for our food what wasn't anything to write home about.

Came here recently as a family of 5 for a little mini break so we decided to have a look at buckets. We didn’t eat here as the menu was quite limited in terms of options however we did have some drinks here whilst my father in law watched the golf on the television and the teenagers played pool. Pool is £5 deposit for the cues and £1 per game however if you want chalk you will have to ask for it as it isn’t something that seems to be supplied when you get the cues. Prices at buckets are reasonable for a site it was around £3.30 for a latte, £3.30 for a j20, £5.45 for a rekordling cider, £4.25 for a pint of cider and £4.50 for a pint of lager. Plenty of seating available both inside and out and staff very friendly.

I had 2 pound and a worker asked me if I wanted an hot chocolate and I said yes please and she paid £1 pound for the other of my chocolate drink and another worker came over to my mates table and give us free crisps because they were going out of date at night And gave us a load of cookies free like 8+ more Love the buckets restaurant food and staff even the security manager even ask us if we’re ok and we loved it I had a great time at the restaurant hope the workers hope they get a pay raise of me. After ordering 3 all day breakfast at £36 all discussing eggs not cooked, bacon not cooked, when I complained about no hash browns and no tomatoes they told me they had run out, no condiment was offered to us complained about tea and coffee been cold brought another one out still cold . All we got was sorry… had to go into shop all family members was still hungry very disappointed they even said chef tried the tea and coffee and said they was hot but they wasn’t never going to buckets again but we always came here.

Brilliant service by the girls behind the bar!! Good quality, honest food at a reasonable price!! Nice bar, plenty of tele’s with live sport on! Family entertainment, quizzes etc!! Decent quality, family type bar!!!

We are currently staying at this resort and we went in for a meal 3 adults 3 toddlers!! The team very friendly kids portions were very big so they advised to share 2 meals!!!! They were correct I can’t fault the service from the happy friendly staff

£43 for ten pints of low to mid quality Tetley,they should be wearing a mask. Avoid this place if you like a pint.

I've visited Buckets afew times this year and I can't fault the place.. I've worked in hospitality business myself over the years and people are always quick to judge bad experiences. It's not very often I am impressed by a Visit to a venue but today the food and the service was excellent, to say some of the staff were new as some of the drinks they was unsure of, they went out there way to help us and nothing was too much trouble! The kids had a great time on the park and they ate all there food which rarely happens when they want to play.. We will definitely be returning.. Credit due to the staff keep up the good work.

We came to Beachcomber for the first time last weekend and absolutely loved Buckets. The food was great. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. A special mention to Josh who went above and beyond. We can’t wait to come back

1st time to Buckets Sports bar yesterday for Drinks, only called for 1 beer but it was so nice that we ended staying for 4pts, Very impressed with the all round service, particularly “Cassie”who waited on us the whole time that we was there, Very friendly family atmosphere, Calling again today lol.

Just like to say about our day and night in buckets...myself and partner with our 8 year old had a marvellous day here,the staff couldn't of done anymore for the service were top class...always checking to see if we wanted refills and we had good food which were very tasty having pizza chips and chicken tikka skewers..can thoroughly recommend buckets for the relaxed atmosphere and courtesy staff...even when we went into the star bar for bingo it was met with the same service as in buckets...we also had a couple of friends visit buckets because I said experience it for yourself as they are always in cleethorpes but not down at buckets keys.they were very impressed by what buckets had to offer as they are going to be calling more often...again we done buckets.. see you again soon..

We have all met up today social gathering all safe two tables. Great food and great atmosphere the staff are friendly and helpful trying to keep us safe. Whilst enjoying a few drinks and food

Just come back from a week in Cleethorpes. Went in buckets nearly every night. Cheap drinks and great singers. But Cassie we would like to say thank you. You out of all the staff was 100% the best, bubbly and friendly and a amazing voice. My 3 year old wouldn’t stop dancing when you was singing. Keep doing what your doing

Sat outside in the sun having a drink decided on food, just had Steak and ale stew with chips so tasty and plenty , enjoyed every bit thankyou

My friends and I popped into buckets for a few drinks and something to eat. Great food and drinks at a decent price and the singer Micha who was performing was amazing, I will definitely be back!

We had our wedding here and it was amazing staff were so frendly and always haply to help food was amazing we had no complaints iff our froends and family we are looking at booking gaim next year for an wedding anniversary to celebrate with friends and family who was unable to attend due to the current pandemic

We were visiting Cleethorpes for a couple of days and a friend that lived locally recommended Buckets. We met up and went along. The restaurant was tidy and clean but very much empty. We were told to sit anywhere. The menu was limited but this is common place since Covid restrictions. It was an ‘Eat out to help out’ scheme day and Buckets was part of the scheme. We ordered a pizza, children’s meal, Turkey burger and three diet cokes. I was surprised that even with the 50% discount our bill was £18. It seemed that what would have been £36 was quite steep for pub grub lunch for three. We sat and waited patiently. Food took around twenty minutes. It arrived in boxes rather than on crockery. The pizza seemed well cooked and the children’s meal was as expected. Unfortunately my burger was a chunk of hard, dried Turkey breast with a stuffing patty. It really wasn’t what I expected and wasn’t nice at all. We took the children on the play area which they enjoyed. The toilets were clean and tidy. I definitely wouldn’t hurry to return to Buckets and my friend was disappointed too at the quality of the food. She did assure me that on previous visits it had been very good.

Covid has knocked the stuffing out of everything eaten here many times over the last few yrs, it is good honest pub crub but since re launch after covid not good iam afraid.. limited menu i do understand had the pizzas on 3 different occasions since re launch and every time the crust was burt and expensive.But i am sure given food standards will get back on track

Friendly helpful staff, a table full of well cooked food that arrived quickly made for an excellent Sunday lunch . The price was great, the cauliflower cheese the best we'd tasted (chef also passed on their recipe), really couldn't fault anything.

A fab place to eat at the holiday camp..many a good choices.a great sports bar aswell. Good for sitting out on evenings after using the pool and facilities, around..a good calvery, too on a sunday

Went to buckets for my nieces birthday Friday Evening and we had a brilliant time. The food was really good we all ordered different things and the service was amazing. There were 14 of us and nothing was too much trouble, compliments to the chef she was brilliant as were the rest of the staff.

Lovely Haddock and Chips. Crispy batter, lovely white haddock. Best I’ve had for a while around her. Lovely staff today. They are superb. 20/9/2019. Thank you. 3pm Chef and helper.

Must say they did an amazing job here for me and my fiance service was spot on all the staff was polite and made you feel welcome bottle of champagne was awesome thanku all again x

The sunday carvery when it first started last year was superb and definitely the best in the area. It has gone down just ever so slightly but is still head and shoulders above the nearby trawlerman carvery, which frankly is dreadful.Buckets carvery is well worth a try but it is only on a sunday. The general menu is quite good but lacks vegetables.

Fab food and menu choice! Massive portions too. Good value for money. Worth a visit, we will return!!!👍😄

I won a voucher for this restaurant and went with very little expectations. Didn’t know what to expect as it was on a holiday camp and thought it would be packed out. To say I’m more than pleasantly surprised is an understatement. I have coeliac disease and as soon as we asked at the bar the chef came out to see me. Manda was fabulous. Went out of her way to ensure I was catered for. The food was excellent and loads of it. Reasonably priced. I will definitely visit again. I hope the bosses realise what an excellent chef they have. A brilliant afternoon celebrating my birthday with a complimentary glass of Prosecco and a glorious complex and delicious afternoon tea. Tiny delicate glass of salad with slivers of water melon, a small box of a beef Chinese dish. Miniature fish cake and chips delicious desserts - ice cream in a chunky little cone and finally a warm scone with clotted cream. A heavenly range of lots of delicious things to try. We had a fabulous afternoon. ( and we’ll be back - of course !!! ) Thank you Figs.

worst meal i’ve eaten ordered the chicken chips and salad firstly the chicken came with stuff all over it what happened to simplicity sent it back then received a fresh meal and let’s just start there the chicken was bland and tasteless and dry ive eaten better from a back street takeawayalso had a beef and “gravy” baguettethe beef was dry without any gravy in site the baguette was solid the gym above was brilliant to listen to through out our meals really was always wanted to hear the foot stomps of a elephant running on a treadmill while having a family mealthe meal cost £21.50 i wouldn’t have paid £5 if i knew the qualityalso no one even came to see how the meals was or even clear up shocking is a understatement

Wonderful setting by the open air swimming pool. Quality outdoor furniture. Selection of real ales. Under used attraction.

Usually have food off the menu but today the Carvery sold itself as we went through the door ...a choice of seven veg ..three meats..absolutely fab ...the staff were polite as always and done two “check backs”will definitely be back ..need to try the puddings x

Not strangers to buckets been a few times and haven’t had a bad meal yet, the carvery looks and tastes beautiful, the staff are always friendly and polite, service very good and always do a check back to make sure you’re happy! Well done team keep up the good work!

Food sounded amazing on the menu however when doing slimming world and wanting a healthy option we were abit unsure if to book there or not.... there was 10 of us going and 4 of us all on slimming world but we didn’t want to be unsociable and not go or change the venue due to us wanted to eat healthy... so we rang before hand asking if we were to come would they be able to do us a healthy option of rice or a jacket potato in replace of the chips to go with the tandoori chicken skewers. We told them when we was going and what time so they were aware of when we was coming...

We visited buckets today and had a carvery with 6 adults and 2 children. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and agreed it was one of the nicest carvery’s we’ve had. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the restaurant was very clean. Very good prices too we can’t wait to visit again.

Whole experience start to finish was excellent, staff very polite & friendly. Great atmosphere, fantastic choice on the menu (something for everyone) food plentiful portions (struggled to finish) would definitely return with the whole family....well done "Buckets" can't wait to try the Carvery ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Shocking bad service, rude and unwelcoming staff!! Food was appalling, cold and flavourless. We told a membernoff staff who disappeared and never came back over, no replacement or refund was offered

Was told to give this place a try from a friend. Good service great food plenty varieties of gin, well worth a visit.

Been coming to Buckets since it first opened. Food and service just keeps getting better! Been to every taster evening and would highly recommend. Chef always accommodating to our dietary requirements. Staff always happy to help and are very welcoming. Friendly atmosphere. A place worth discovering!

Our first visit and love it. Plenty to choose from. I had the American cheese Steak loaded on chips. Steak was so tender even when I have it well done. Hubby had the maetfeast and only left half of chips as he isn't a great fan of potato. Puddings where limited on our visit day but it was buy one get one free on mains in February so it's a winner everyday. We will be back when we get back to our caravan at Thorpe Park. Is great it's open to everyone. They even put the Wales v England rugby match on at the request of a customer.

Love this place it's clean, tidy, foods always nice. Never had a bad meal there yet. The staff are always pleasant & helpful.

Loved this place so much during our stay last May in Beachcomber. I booked into a hotel in Cleethorpes last night, just to have my Birthday meal in Buckets. The home cooked food is to die for!

Just had Sunday lunch , took my Mother who is 90. Dinner was hot wholesome , fresh and more than enough.I had beef which was delicious and well cooked , mum had pork which was far too much...so I finnished it off.Great food , great service , staff with a smile will definitely be back

I very rarely give reviews however...

I visit Buckets a couple of times a week as I live locally. The staff are always so polite, friendly and helpful. If a customer needs something they go above and beyond to meet their needs. They serve a good variety of food. They show all the main football and rugby games and always try to be accommodating to ALL customers by putting different games on different TVs.

Took my little girl for evening meal taking advantage if the kids eat free with each adult meal offer, and was not dissapointed. I had the stack burger which was honestly the nicest burger ive ever had. My daughter also enjoyed her pasta and meatballs. Staff were lovely. Highly recommended

Finally got the husband to have a meal in here. He was impressed, and that doesnt happen often. The meals ( i had burger)were great, hot, presented well and the place is very clean. Would highly recommend

We have been here for both just drinks and to eat. We have never had any reason to complain. The staff are always polite and friendly. Food is always served piping hot, with the bucket theme. They are willing to adapt the menu to suit if needs be, if they have the ingredients. Highly recommend a visit.

Well ive read these reviews about Buckets,.i am a caravan owner on the Beachcomber caravan park, and we have been regular visitors to buckets this season ,and im not just saying this but the food weve eaten in there as always been good. weve had the fish and chips a few times and it was alway thick haddock and was delicious,also roast dinners and other meals and can honestly say the food has been second to none.the lovely staff have always been polite and helpful,always come to the table and ask if the foods ok sorry but we cant fault it .

We went to the seafood taster night and I coild not find fault with anything . The friendly welcome and the staff where all very attentive, the food was excellently presented and truly delicious. We will without doubt be returning .

I see the bad reviews and think they derive from a lack of understanding about what Buckets sports bar is. It is a bar/diner, there is music and background noise, people in shorts and flip flops, owners, locals etc and it is not a la carte dining. What it is, is a unique menu, and the food we had was absolutely superb. Well presented, in fact cleverly presented, tasted fantastic and unbelievably inexpensive. We love to eat out, we love posh nosh, a la carte dining and a myriad of restaurants in and around north east lincs and beyond, and this place is very unique in terms of the food. Can't wait to go back, just with a very empty stomach this time! A must try, the food tasted great and was piping hot and cooked to perfection. Thanks to the chef and the staff, loved it!

We had a table booked for 7 people for afternoon tea on a quiet Monday tea time. We arrived and yes the table had been reserved, but not set up. We sat down and were waiting on 1 more person to arrive who was running slightly late. At not one point during us waiting did a member of staff come over and ask us if we were ready for our afternoon tea to be served. We had to go up to the bar and tell them we were ready. Considering this afternoon tea was pre-booked and staff were asked over the phone a few days before if they could ensure the tea was ready for 5.30... was it ready and prepared? Nope.

Went for a birthday meal with family for my fathers 74th birthday. The starters were good and came out on time and from there it went downhill fast. Waited an hour for mains and then had to wait 20 minutes for the last of the mains to arrive. The fish and chips in photo was particularly awful. Over cooked food, only parts of meals on plate. Overall a shambles. The waiting staff were polite and clearly embarrassed at the whole affair. Needless to say will not be returning or recommending!
