Bubble Waffles Selly Oak in Birmingham

Unfortunately after previously having good service a few months ago I have recently come back to order the exact same waffle as last time only to be met with half a waffle and really poor service with no accountability. I would attach a picture if possible. Don't bother visiting. Go to the ones deeper in actual selly oak.

I wish i could review this 0 stars. We placed an order worth £35 on uber eats, once the delivery driver showed up he arrived with somebody else’s order, he told us that this was the order handed to him by staff at this store despite him telling him our name and them giving us the incorrect order. We had called the store and asked them what happened and they were no help on the phone and didn’t apologise, they told us to contact uber despite there being no delivery issue and an issue around the handing off of the order, they didn’t know how to rectify this issue whatsoever after it being brought to their attention and hung up the phone after we asked if we could just get it resent out. very rude and unprofessional

Always go here about 4 times a week, no other desert compares

Worst shop ever, the cake is rock hard , expired product - inedible and they forgot the icecream that i paid for. They definitely knew it was inedible as there was no way it could have been sliced

I called her after placing the order online through Uber eats, and she just hung up not even delivering me my order.

Not at all impressed by the unprofessionalism of this establishment. I ordered for the first time one and a half weeks ago, a biscoff cheese cake and cookie dough. The delivery man took it upon himself to bring a strawberry cheesecake without even consulting me as they had ran out of biscoff when I don't even eat strawberry. Tonight decided to give the benefit of the doubt and order again. This time they charged me for the cheesecake and didn't even bring anything what so ever do not use this place unless you want the wrong or missing items

I have been here a few times. A loyal customer. However this time the cookie dough was noticeably undercooked and i was overcharged. I went back to the shop and politely asked for a new cookie dough - to which she scoffed and said no! She cooked my cookie dough again. However when i told her i was overcharged she also said no. I then showed her the proof and she had no way to offer a refund or any form of compensation other than an extra topping. The whole time she was unapologetic and offered no form of compensation at all. I then suggested a voucher for next time. She accepted but refused to offer any form of written proof of this, again scoffing saying shes there all the time and will remember. I insisted on some written proof as it could be a few months until i go back again and forgetting is an easy mistake - she still refused. We left however decided to go back having received no compensation for being overcharged. She then sighed and gave me the refund with great attitude. Very disappointing service. She also didnt give my friend enough change.

Wasn't a bad experience for me food was good but the money spent diddnt feel like it was completely worth it

Upon entering the establishment you are greeted with a sad looking, less than sparkling seating area to your left, before Tweedledum and Tweedledee arrive to take your order. I chose a milk cake but it turned out to be just a regular artificially coloured dry cake with some sweet milk splashed on top. Lack lustre service and overpriced mediocre food. I'll not be visiting Bumble Waffles again.

WORST SHOP IN THE WORLD! Avoid at all costs. The desserts gave me food poisoning for a few days!!! The manager did nothing to resolve the issue. He took it as a joke and said it wasn’t his fault. He didn’t even apologise. Food was undercooked and did not taste nice at all!! Do not come here unless you want to be food poisoned. It’s honestly not worth it people. There needs to be hygiene checks to avoid these kind of things.

Worse place I have ever eaten from well I didnt even eat it the bin eat it avoid this place! the milkshake was pure liquid with no cream aswell it was bad Come on bubble waffles but look at this we thought we would try somthing new from a different place and was very Disappointed! I know you will look at this food that you have sent out and surely you cant fink this is acceptable how do you're staff even allow that to leave the doors! It was stone cold burnt and looks like someone eaten half of it called up and requested a refund and was told to go through just eat. It's just a shame especially when you're looking forward to it. Believe the bad delivery reviews. Waiting 2.5hrs so far and just eat says delivered. Had the reply, wasn't ordered against my just eat account as I don't personally have one and we called the restaurant twice. Somehow they eventually found the address (judging by the response by some sort of clairvoyance). Also no vanilla in the "special" sundae as advertised

Ordered this whilst staying in birmingham .. the desserts were the worst iv ever had .. ordered a waffle for my 10 year old and even she didnt like it the gelato ice cream was horrible tasted cheap.. the iced latte had no flavour tasted like watered down milk ... the cookie dough was the size of a 50 pound note never seen anything so small ... the only good thing was the bottle of coke . Over all a horrible experience and desserts dont waste your money .

This place is ridiculous I went to try the deserts out and while I was wating for my order at a quite time seem as the owner was arguing very loudly with a delivery driver over pay dispute for not paying wages to the driver. This is off putting and should be dealt back of house. I hope the drive gets his justice. Cowboys and very sleazy attitude.

Took well over 2 hours, tried 15 times to contact the restaurant and when I finally did get through your staff were nothing but rude and said a further 20 minutes which then lead to being over another hour

We ordered various items only to receive some. We contacted the vendor only to be advised no mistake had been made, despite highlighting what we’d ordered and the extras we’d paid for the vendor advised they were to busy to take the matter further. In addition to your response, did the Uber Driver forget to add the rest of the fruit to the order and sauces as Berrylicious came with just Blueberries and some random sauce nothing like what’s decribed or pictured on UBER EATS, picture added for reference?

Tried it first time. Delivery was super quick. Staff were really kind. They actually called and updated me when driver was leaving with the food. Waffles are absolutely delicious. I will definitely be a regular now.

Got hung up on twice when trying to call about a order but then waited 40mins for a call back that I never got and we order a a vegan dessert as my partner can’t have milk or dairy as she’s got a allergy to it and got really really bad customer service worse place I ordered from the cake wasn’t even that nice.

I ordered a brownie sundae today tasted 10/10, best sundae I’ve ever received from a dessert shop. Perfect toppings and the right amount of chocolate sauce. Definitely my new go to dessert place that I’ve found in a while for me and my pals.

I go there for the premium milkshake, which is a peanut butter and banana combo. Or I get my usual sprinkle cake with custard.

Ordered from there a few times and it always seems to turn up an hour and half late. Never again do not recommend

Appalling customer service. Cancelled my order after 1 hour because they “forgot” to cancel beforehand as they had no cookie dough. - 3 very upset children as I cannot order and wait again at 1am. Won’t be paying any of my money to this rubbish place again!

It is one of the worst place to order. The customer service si too bad. You would never get order on time; sometimes they may arrive 2h late or just not arrive at all and dispose of your order without any updates.

Yeah I did get a refund because I ordered mojitos. 1) The order came nearly 2 hours late. 2) I got 4 fizzy drinks with a bunch of lemons inside. Fix up.

Red velvet cake isn’t actually red velvet, it’s a basic sponge cake with red food colouring. But too much of that as it’s actually quite pink. Chocolate concrete was more like a chocolate cake than the chocolate concrete you’d expect. This said, the waffles have been great every time. No complaints with those at all

Ordered via deliveroo yesterday for the first time, We had normal milkshake and 1 premium. They arrived well inside expected time and in perfect condition except 1 straw missing. They was that think they wouldn't come up the large straws I had to use a spoon. It was like a drink from heaven I was so luxurious and tasty. We all enjoyed them greatly I've used many desert places in the past but not anymore this is the one

I want to say a huge thank you to a lady called shaffa she always remembers my order when i come into the shop which makes me feel important and she’s so welcoming and provides the best customer service I’ve received at a restaurant, it encourages me to keep coming again.

Ordered off Uber eats and waited an hour to then ring them up and ask where my order is. The lady on the phone seemed nice and said they had to go to other store to get cheesecake and she'll contact me when the order is being packed. Half an hour later the app tells me my order is now cancelled after already waiting this long so I phone up again and she said she cancelled it even though she told me she'd call me back when packing! So now we're left, after waiting hours, with nothing but wasted time. It's so frustrating.

Been over 1 hour on uber stil no delivery staff keep saying 10mins fix up

I cant lie, Im kinda disappointed. I ordered Waffle Sticks and a Milk Cake and it took a good hour to come. ETA was supposed to be 12:45 order ended up at 1:45. Only reason i havent given a 1 star was because the food was quite good, delivery was a headache. (ps milkcake was beautifully done)

My husband bought me back a Berry waffle from this shop, (this is the first time we're ordering from here) i have to honestly admit this was the best tasting waffle I have ever had!! I don't usually order waffles from dessert parlours because they just don't taste nice, this shop has changed me whole perspective on waffles!! Will definitely be ordering from here again, definitely hooked 😊😊 I'd give them more 5* if I could.

Delivery took hours depsite the shop being a two minute drive away and the desserts arrived cold, with room temperature ice cream: The order was forgotten about, despite being marked as out for delivery on ubereats, and they only made it when we called to check on delivery (as the order had passed it’s delivery time slot). After this they said it was out for delivery (which is a two minute drive/ 12 minute walk!) and we had to call two more times. The person manning the phones was very nice and she chased up the delivery driver on the third phone call which helped, but at this point we had been waiting over two and a half hours for our order. The desserts (waffle and a cookie dough) arrived cold and with melted ice cream. Dietary requirements were ignored and the waffle was covered with Nutella, so due to a hazelnut allergy this could not be eaten (the allergy was specified on the delivery form)

Response to bad reviews blaming drivers is awful. This company uses its Own drivers not ubers. Food was late and melted and wrong. You should evaluate how you address paying customers for your poor service

First time ordered from this shop very disappointed.Ordered at 9PM food not come came 11PM Half missing. Called them, uber driver delivered our food to someone else. Called shop was told would get it but waited 12.50am. Called shop several times.he said no driver Made so many excuses.gave up at the end. Would not recommend.

Really good service. I ordered my deserts and it was nice and warm. The driver was very nice as well.

Terrible. Ordered food at 7pm for 10pm delivery. Phoned them at 10.45 to be told the driver was on his way. 11.45 the food finally arrives, missing items (the waffle was delivered 10 mins later as the driver forgot to give it to us) , melted ice cream, cookie dough cold, waffle missing toppings. Restaurant blamed the uber driver, but uber says its delivered by restaurant staff. 2 hours late, cold, melted, didn't enjoy any of it.

I ordered a variety of tasty treats, of which was delivered on time, warm and smelt delicious! It was a great choice of deserts from a great place! Would highly recommend! Can’t wait till I have a sweet tooth again 😋

I ordered online from here last week and I wasn't very impressed. However most reviews are positive so maybe I ordered on a bad night.

Rang me 15 minutes after the order was due telling me half my order was not in stock, could not understand the person on the phone, bad experience would not recommend.

The restaurant decided to call 15 mins after delivery time to tell me that they didn’t have part of my order Couldn’t understand a word the woman on the phone was saying Not cheap £36 for a cpl milkshakes and 2 waffles Customer service appalling 😡

Went there today for the first time. The milkshake was very lovely. The staff there are so nice and welcoming. This is gonna be my new dessert spot ❤
