Disappointing. My husband and I went to Bistrot Pierre few years ago and it was lovely, so we decided to go there again when in the area. It wasn’t a great experience this time. Firstly, mojito was so bitter that neither of us could drink it. The food was okay, nothing extra. The service was slow (the restaurant was quiet), we weren’t asked if the food was okay, we weren’t asked if we want another drink or any desserts. After we left we realised that we have paid 10% service charge. We did not leave a tip, because we thought service wasn’t the best and then they charge service charge without letting customer know…

We thought we'd try the new breakfast menu, but to be honest, we found it to be quite average in terms of selection, taste and presentation, in comparison with other restaurants in the area offering breakfast. In addition, the service was extremely slow considering how empty it was while we were there and how basic our selections were! There were 2 other people who had already been served. We had a vegetarian breakfast (with some very unappetising looking baked beans which were unusually pale!)and some flatbread with an egg. These should not have taken over 30 minutes! We were also quite disappointed by the rather unwelcoming and unsmiling staff who gave the impression that they did not want any customers bothering them that morning! Some customer service training is definitely needed in a front facing role! The waiter could not hide his exasperation when I asked for well-done eggs, which was my right to do as a paying customer! Although the food was decent, nice coffee and well decorated, modern and spacious with a lot of natural light from the large windows, the attitude of the staff was discouraging and we will certainly not be returning!

Attended a night with entertainment with a Meet Up group. Fabolous signing. The bistro s decor is modern and pleasant. A wide range of alcohòlic and non al drinks. Other Meet Up members had food. The steam had mixed reviews- perfect for one person and stringy for the other. Service was quick and very friendly. I will return.

The look has changed and I feel it cheapens the feel of the place. Food is same quality as before.

I remember the original place that wsd focused on French cuisine. It couldn't be further from this now. It's so pricey for the standard of food. So pricey. Honestly go to the mere pool which would cost have the price. £5 for a bottle of fizzy water, pate with gluten free bread for my starter (about 7/8 pound?) Was a chunk of Brussels pate and a generic gluten free cob/roll/bap. Pudding (7.50 i recall) miso cheesecake. The largest point of the cheesecake was 2 inches at a push. A couple of broken pretzels and about a teaspoon of meringue. Really very pricy for sub standard food.. service and people were top.notch but it's very expensive sub standard food unfortunately. Being back the days it was a proper French bistro

Went out for a works party here the decoration was amazing however what let it down was the fact that i never got my food on time and the brioche bun was burnt. The cocktails was nice however service was slow 45 mins for our starter. Creme brulee was burnt to and the temprature just seemed luke warm dissapointed

We visited as a group of 6 for a birthday meal. The food from the new menu was excellent - all dishes ordered were tasty and well presented. The service was spot on - all staff who served us were friendly and polite with just the right waiting time between courses etc. Our only complaint would be the temperature inside the restaurant- it was so cold! We did visit on a cold evening, and appreciate there may have been some issue with the heating, but it was quite uncomfortable and many diners were sat with outdoor coats on during their visit (including 2 of our party).

Brilliant experience from the booking through to paying the bill. We had a sedate hen party of 15 guests - we pre-ordered off the set menu and it all ran perfectly. The team there couldn’t of been more helpful and welcoming xx And the food was fantastic- all served together and all delicious- highly recommended xxx

Re-furnished beautifully and renamed to the more snappy “Pierre’s”. This ornate, capacious open plan cocktail lounge & diner has excellent breakfast options. Customer service is professional and friendly.

I brought my family for a Sunday morning breakfast and we had a wonderful experience. Dylan and the team were so welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere was perfect and we had such a relaxing few hours as a family. The service was excellent with food arriving quickly and it was beautifully presented. The Eggs Benedict and Truffle fries were a real treat! Would highly recommend the service, food, and atmosphere for anyone looking for somewhere to eat, drink or catch up with friends or family in Mere Green. Fantastic experience!

Visited a few times and the food and drink has always been great. Staff are friendly and approachable. Love the deals they do throughout the week and rewards received through the app.

I often go to Pierre’s during my maternity leave and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. It has been a great place to visit and spend time and the coffee and food is excellent. The service has always been great, in particular Vicki and Dylan are lovely and very helpful and hard working. Diya is also excellent.

My first time here and it didn’t disappoint! We chose from the set menu and it really was delicious! The steak was perfectly cooked, and I need a bucket full of whatever dressing was on the salad! Dillon was our server and was attentive, chatty and really helpful, I’ll definitely be back.

I have recently visited with some Mom friends for the breakfast deal on a Friday. I had a lovely bacon brioche bap and a flat white. Atmosphere was really friendly, it was spotlessly clean, the staff were lovely and food was great. Will Definately return!

The food on the new menu is a little boring with limited choice. The service was a right cock up. We were asked if we wanted to order dessert while we were still waiting for our mains. We were also brought the bill for another table and given no time to check it with the card machine appearing at exactly the same time.

Poor services and nobody had a clue what was going on. The food arrive very late and was average, typical of a greasy spoon cafe. Would not return

Me and friend come in everyday for a drink and Dylan always makes us feel the most welcome and is one of the loveliest managers in hospitality I have met! One of the reasons we come in so often!

We had such a lovely time made even better as the deputy manager Dillon was just WONDERFUL! He was so polite, funny and just created a wonderful atmosphere. The food and drink was amazing and we had such a lovely time celebrating!

We had a family meal last night. The lady who looked after us for the evening was called Debbie and she made the entire evening a joy for us. She was engaging, very professional and just a nice person. It’s a shame everyone in hospitality can’t be a bit more like Debbie. they are few and far between in my experience!!! Thank you Debbie

The 'new autumn menu' seems to have changed this from french bistro to pub grub. I struggled to find anything that I couldn't have got on any pub menu. So I went for Chicken Kiev, which it definitely wasn't. Chicken Kiev is made as it is for a reason - the garlic and herb butter cooks inside the meat to flavour it, moisturise it, and provide a rich juice to flow onto your plate when you cut it. This was a plain slab of dried out breaded chicken breast with a small pot of garlic/herb gloop on the side, which didn't even have much flavour. I used to come here fairly frequently, but I didn't see anything on the menu to go back for, and based on this experience wouldn't trust it anyway.

Booked for a birthday meal and it was delightful. Alex and the crew did us proud. Very well recommended.

Booked a table for Sunday lunch with my Partner. Service was terrible. It took over 20 minutes to be asked what drink we’d like and once we ordered our food that too took a further 30 minutes to arrive. Quality of food was not great. We were asked if we’d like desserts but they didn’t hand us the menu. I also asked for apple sauce which I had to remind the manager to bring mid eating. Not ideal! We used to visit regularly previously and the refurbishment is nice but we won’t be in any rush to visit again.

Great restaurant, the staff were helpful and attentive. It was a little cold but we sat near the door and it was evening time.

It was our first time eating here and we really enjoyed it. Jess and all the other staff were really friendly and attentive on a busy Saturday night! I have an allergy but staff were considerate and aware of procedures which is always great. Will definitely go again :))

Have been a few times since the new decor. & name change really lovely & relaxed, needs a few more lounge chairs & low tables as they advertise coffee "casual" houmous, flat bread & squid gorgeous but disappointed with the fish finger baguette used childs f/fingers!😏 I've only ever had good quality chunky fish fingers in other cafés/ restaurants. (Also tartare sauce was spread on baguette like butter ordering via the app doesn't allow you to specify no or on side which again i thought it would've been served on side, & no one came to clear plates etc before we left otherwise would've let them know save all this!😃) Still return though as there's still plenty more to choose from.

I cant believe still they have swapped bistro pierre for this in mere green, lacking atmosphere, the worst fish finger sandwich I've had in my life (not homemade, deffo birdseye) and it's freezing in there. The kids menu though is very good, such a shame

We visited the new look Pierre’s at Mere Green. Really liked the new decor of the restaurant and bar area. Lovely new menu and we all enjoyed our food. The service was excellent and I thought all the staff were friendly and efficient.

Visited early Saturday morning for breakfast. Restaurant was quiet but food was freshly cooked and the service we received from Jess was excellent and made our breakfast experience very pleasant.

Very Friendly staff. The atmosphere was great. We were served on time. The food can be better.

I have been coming sometimes twice a week for two months Midweek told kitchen shutting 9.00 pm Tonight despite so many emails encouraging attendance 8.20 no walk in service But can book two later tables on phone from car park . Apparently they would ring to say not available but nobody rang weird.

We went on a Tuesday when they do the six courses for £27. I had the beetroot tortellini appetizer which was just one large tortellini but tasty and unusual. The entrée was asparagus - ok, not my favourite. Lamb was cooked as I had asked and was a lovely dish. The pork from the normal menu was also very good and very tender. The chocolate puddings was dark and rich. The coffee even darker. A very pleasant meal for two (one six courses and one two courses) came to £50. Service was spot on. The waits were fine. The restaurant was half filled with a good atmosphere.

A group of four, we came to Bistrot Pierre having walked out of a nearby restaurant where the service was diabolical. We couldn't have asked for a greater contrast. The staff were very welcoming, attentive (without being over fussy) and professional, the service excellent and the food outstanding. So, after a disappointing start elsewhere, we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. My only slightly negative comment would be that there were very few diners that evening, so the restaurant perhaps lacked a bit of atmosphere, and I hope it is normally much busier as it certainly deserves to be.

There were no other diners in the restaurant when we arrived. A couple arrived after us and had eaten a two course meal and left before our food arrived. Apparently, it was because the chicken took so long to cook. You'd think on a Sunday they may have anticipated some demand for chicken and had a bird or two prepared in advance. My partner and I had the veggie option, which was a butternut squash wellington. Despite specifically asking for regular gravy, we were served the vegan gravy, which was an unusual shade of pink and rather unpleasant. My partner asked for the vegan gravy to be removed from her plate, and when her plate was returned there were fewer vegetables and no greens. It looked like a child's meal. This backwards and forwards with the gravy meant that by the time my partner was happy with her meal, my Dad and I had nearly finished. I would have expected some kind of explanantion regarding the long wait for chicken but none was forthcoming. We'd long finished the first round of drinks and only obtained further refreshment after I flagged down the waiter at long range. When I queried the long wait for food, by way of explanation, the waiter said,"If you're not happy, you can leave us a negative review." I think he thought that would make me feel better. But it hasn't.

The restaurant seemed cold for my 92 year old mom

My friend and I had a meal on Friday afternoon at your restaurant the food was good and the service was very good. Our waiter Alex was excellent nothing was to much trouble all in all we had a very pleasant afternoon.

Where do I begin? Firstly parking - the restaurant has no official parking, and nearby parking is ANPR 3 hr parking, which you would think would be enough, but later on found out it wasn't. Drinks- asked for a guiness on draft, only to be told not working, only lager on tap, anything else in bottles! Next payment in cash told me yes but has no change??, obviously don't carry a float. Table of 8 for a special birthday booked. Only 3 other small tables in, but over an hr before starter arrived. We were splitting the bills and told service staff several times whilst ordering that this was happening. Food was average a best, the baked camenbert had been microwaved or over cooked as was very runny, the Diane sauce with the chicken tasted of curry, and having to wait 10 minutes for bread that had been accidentally dropped by server. By the time we had had our 3 course meal, the 3 hr time limit was near, so we had to move cars to another location, which was a joke. The worst was yet to come, as the bill arrived and all meals had been added to one. We mentioned this, that we had asked for separate bills, but due to it already being done, and that deposits taken before meal, it took a further 30 minutes to get manager to re print bill, still with one total, as couldn't split the table as asked for at start of meal. This was a terrible end to a special occasion, and will not go back again!!

Ignored when entering. Left waiting at table for 15 minutes. Staff rude. When asked if I was to be served the manageress was aggressive in her tone and body language.

Beef Bourgogne,No honey roasted carrots 🙈, had a triangle of pastry in stead. Spent £400 for 6 dinners. Disappointed, had lovely meals several times previously. Must have been an inexperienced chief. Will go again but not in the near future. Sorry 😣. John G

• No one came to ask what we wanted to drink • When asked which lagers were available the waitress listed every drink on the menu. • Two drinks we asked for were not available. • Waited 45 mins for first course. • The meal was poor quality, no seasoning or flavour and was luke warm. Disgraceful. • Gave us someone else’s bill. • Replaced it with a bill that was part ours part someone else’s, putting the deposit someone else had paid on to ours. I should have kept it. • Delayed by half an hour sorting the bill, made me late for the car park. • Added 20% VAT to the total • Without asking added 10% service charge. • ‘Challenged’ me to remove the service charge. • Poorly trained and overstretched staff.

A very poor experience. Not sure what was going on today. No Manager on site. Waitress didn't appear to be able to take order confidently. Waited for 2hours 15 mins to get mains. Paid deposit in advance online with reservation and advised it was father in laws 90th birthday celebration. Zero acknowledgement of that. The staff did apologise at end, but this entire disaster was a management failure. No Manager. No one taking responsibility. Correct response should have been to check in and update us as to the issue regularly and at the end take the drinks or 50% off the bill ( or both!). The service charge was initially included. I mean with the best will in the world, we couldn't justify including it. The staff shouldn't have to suffer because of no management on site.

0 out of 5 Terrible does not even fit the description for this review Took over 30 minuets after ordering for starts to be brought out, I wouldn’t mind but these were simple dishes I.e hummus and bread The meals then came out not long after, however none of the meals came out at the same time and the Children’s food came out last 2 for 1 cocktails; these were ordered at 18:50 and because the server didn’t get too the till until after 19:00 the offer was void and this was not honour by the manager. Overall the Service extremely slow and really. The only person at that restaurant who truely cares about the service and its customers was a young lad called Alex.

We had booked a table for 6 people on a Sunday evening (bank holiday weekend) and I phoned up in advance to check that the restaurant would be open. We arrived at 7 pm and were not allowed to order either a pudding or coffee at the end of the meal. I ordered a medium rare rump steak which, went it arrived, was both overcooked and underweight. This was a really disappointing and expensive evening!

Had booked a table. Was in the taxi on the way to the restaurant and then received an email from Bistro Pierre to say 'as per your request, we've cancelled your reservation'. Really disappointing considering we had it booked, nor had we cancelled.

We dined at Bistrot Pierre, its a fantastic restaurant with impeccable cleanliness and cozy ambiance. Our order included chicken escalopes and pan fried salmon fillets, both of which were delectably flavorful. The presentation of each dish was exquisite, and the flavors were simply irresistible. We thoroughly enjoyed the culinary experience. The service was also commendable and greatly appreciated.

Lovely, bright and welcoming atmosphere. Jess and Kai our servers were amazing and sensing our personalities they were really fun and having a laugh with us. This alone made the experience more wonderful. I pointed out to Jess my numerous allergies and how I had been treated by restaurants before because if this. She was so lovely and made sure my food and drinks were OK and I knew what was on the menu that I could have. Give these two employees a pay rise! We were a party of 16 and accommodated really well and encouraged to take advantage of the 2 for £12 cocktails before the offer ended. Drinks and card machines were brought over to us so we didn't need to leave the table and there wasn't any problem with us all paying separately either, which has been a problem at other places.

The waitress had no personality really didn't interact very empty understand why after the food I had the chichen coq au Reisling as did my my friend chicken over cooked very dry food luckwarm told the waitress she said she would pass our comments on wish we had gone to wetherspoons food looked far fresher so disappointed I really dont go out much but wont be going back any time soon

Beer is good, food not really. I’ve tried duck leg confit in many places before, but this was a negative experience.

We come here most weeks as very good value for money and staff very friendly and Norbert always ensures we have good service, always with a smile.

I have eaten here many times and the Food, atmosphere and service are exceptional at a very reasonable cost. The Polish Waiter "Norbert" has amazing humour, as well as a detailed knowledge of the menu. These people deserve good customers and I shall continue to oblige!

Had booked here for an afternoon tea with a friend I hadn’t seen for a while. Unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. The sandwiches and cakes were dry and tasteless. Considering there were hardly any people in the restaurant the service was slow. Can’t say I’ll be back for afternoon tea again. It’s a pity because Mere Green really need decent restaurants.

Great food but sadly the wait for the starters was too long. The service was generally slow with limited checks on us, some of the waitresses didn’t know what the wines were when we were asking and one never came. Although, Jess was great and was very friendly.

This was not our first time here and we have always enjoyed it. Unfortunately we went for Mother's Day it took over an Hour for our main course to come, when we mentioned it we were told its on its way but at no point before we asked were we told it would be delayed. Then when it did arrive my son had the fish and there was a piece of plastic in it! We did inform and the bill was reduced. The service was awful by the female waitress, then we had a lovely young man called Yusef who was very attentive towards us.

Two of us went for lunch on a quiet Wednesday. The restaurant is roomy, the decor modern and welcoming, and the food acceptable. We ordered from the lunch menu - 2 courses for £18.95. For starters, calamari was crisp, the mushrooms were enjoyable, although the sauce was a little over thickened. Main courses were Chicken Diane - tasty, but again, the sauce was a little gloopy, and Fishcake, which was well executed. although the beurre blanc was split. Service was good, and on balance, we will return.

We were pleasantly surprised with this place as we had heard mixed reviews about it, but the food and service were both very good. All of us really enjoyed it and would definitely go again.

We love it here. The food is fantastic, the service friendly and attentive and the prices are very reasonable. Last Friday 16th Feb we had another great meal. A late Valentines date treat, one of us had three courses and a soft drink, the other (me!), had two courses, a glass of lovely red wine, and a fantastic dessert cocktail, all of which came to £88.00 (inc 10% gratuity), which I think is really good. Plus we had a free bread board with our Pierre Bistrot points.

Me and my husband visited for a belated valentines meal, the food was wonderful and the there was a warm atmosphere. Our server Millie was very accommodating from the very start, and delivered very good service. Drinks and food arrived quickly and was at a high standard, would recommend 10/10.

We enjoyed a very nice meal Tuesday afternoon with a shared chicken liver parfait for a starter, then two mains which were the fishcakes, then ice cream and a sticky toffee pudding. We had a bottle of the red cuvee 94 wine which was on promotion for February and free. The service was excellent and with a reduction with the Rewards card the price was £32.00. Regards Gary

Went today with the wife to Bistro Pierre, Mere Green, around 1pm. This is a spacious and warm restaurant. The waitress was very efficient and showed us to our table almost immediately.She took our order and showed my wife how to download and use the app which had special offers. The ambience was very relaxing, and the customers all seemed to be enjoying themselves. A friendly and warm atmosphere. We had a starter and main course on the set menu. The food was hot,well cooked,tasty and fresh,a generous amount,and arrived promply. Great! Just what we wanted on a cold day. We left well satisfied and happy. We will be back again. Thanks.

The waitresses were amazing. We waited for over thirty minutes for a drink. The manager, a lady with lots of tattoos, and long brown hair, snapped at my mother when she politely stated we had been waiting. Not even an apology. I can honestly say it was very disappointing as enjoyed the food. The service was slow in some areas. However, I am sure the management team is there to uphold the reputation of the organisation. We will not be returning to this restaurant and are extremely disappointed with the way we were treated by the management team. We noticed that there was no one in the bar area, except there must be a shift change but this did not warrant the response.

Terrible for gluten and dairy intolerance. No understanding of dairy intolerance, no flexibility. Staff don't know what dishes contain dairy. Very bad. Never met such ignorance in any pub or restaurant. And cashless! Pathetic! My husband had brought cash and had to depend on the friends we were with. Will NEVER eat here again! Next morning 4 episodes of diarrhoea, the type I recognise as linked with dairy intake. Horrible.
