Great place to sit with nice ambiance. Staff are usually very good and professional. Main problem is that the restaurant closes its kitchen early and sometimes unpredictably. And also it's closed on a Monday!!! If these 2 things were fixed...really a wonderful place.

We came yesterday with my husband and my daughter. The dishes, desserts were absolutely delicious, and the service excellent. I highly recommend !

Just had a delightful tasty lunch at Masion Mayci. I often enjoy a solo lunch and the mainstream places can get very samey and boring. I had a starter of blue cheese, walnuts and pear salad. Followed by a children's portion of salmon and fries. All washed down with a cold glass of the house white. It was all lovingly prepared and served by the charming Italian waiter. A little gem in the heart of Moseley. I bought a Vegan crossiant as a treat for my Mum and a cheeky Nata for coffee later. Will definitely go again soon. Thanks you 😘

We didn't eat in but certainly plan on doing so in the future. Instead we bought cakes to eat at home, which were all delicious.

Eggs and soldiers were a mess. Eggs were underdone, soldiers were burnt bits of crust. Got charged £5.10 for 2 extra boiled eggs. Coffee was tepid. Everything rushed and overpriced, not a good experience.

Maison Mayci house the best bakers in Brum, the loaves of bread are all wonderful and delicious toasted. I recommend you and go once a week and pick up a special variety bread and a pastry and support these amazing, hardworking small business owners / chefs.

Very good omelette, great pastries, shame couldn't try the the croque for breakfast though.

Unfortunately this place turned out to be a disappointment for us. We ordered the omelette and asked for it well done, however it was still very gooey and wet. The mushrooms felt under cooked and the cheese used was not nice at all. Honestly the best thing about the dish were the chips. The tea and coffee were also very tasteless and weak. I think this place is great if you are just having a cake, as the fruit tarts and lemon meringue were delicious, however for lunch it is a disappointment. Also please add signage to let customers know they can just grab a seat instead of waiting to be seated.

I just recently started going here very nice place with very friendly staff very popular And I like that they take your order at the table service is very fast no waiting more the just a couple of minutes I do find it strange you pay after you have drunk or eaten and I couldn’t get my head around it at first I thought the girl who served me the first time had forgotten to take my payment I look forward to visiting again in the near future .

I recently ordered a millefoglie for a birthday celebration with 15 people. I can happily say that it was not only ready on time and it was highly appreciated by the birthday girl and the rest of my mates. Highly recommend.

A real French bakery and café in the heart of Moseley. Fantastic team and food, a landmark of the Birmingham area. Can't speak highly enough about them. If you're around pay them a visit you will be delighted. Now offering more French original products and organising private parties.

Cycled down on a cold wet Wednesday for a birthday lunch with three friends. We had the best of times. The 2 girls that served us Rachel and a young Welsh Girl Effryn? were great fun and sociable but very efficient in their service. The food was fresh,healthy and plentiful. The atmosphere was relaxed and quiet inspite of the restarant being pretty full. The lighting , wall decorations are very chic and add greatly to giving the place a French feel. The bread and cakes available to either eat on the premises, or to take away were scrumptious . I would really recommend this cafe if you are visiting Moseley. You won't be disappointed.

I have walked passed this cafe several times and not noticed it, nestled next to the big Co-Op supermarket in Moseley. So, I was glad when a friend said let's meet there. It was surprisingly spacious, with a lovely ambience and a great range of goodies to eat. Freshly baked bread & pastries baked onsite with a distinctively French vibe. They also offer a more extended lunch menu, plus the usual coffee variations and teas. I didn't venture out to their garden because it was drizzling with rain, but from what I could see, it looked like a nice space for warmer days. The young Black lady who served was very helpful & we didn't feel pressured to leave when we were finished. I will be back! Recommended stop.

Great value and good quality meals. Pastries are to die for ; lemon meringue tart was simply delicious! Home made breads and goat cheese salad was excellent

This venue is really fantastic, the food and drink is delightful, the staff helpful, courteous and polite. Food freshly cooked and worth the small waiting time. The only downside is the number of toilets available (only one) and the apparent lack of a disabled facility.

Have yet to find a better Pâtisserie in the W.Mids! So glad this place has survived and still open for sit down food and takeaway. It’s a popular place with the locals. Truthfully, since previous review, I support with a hot drink break and/or cake or takeaway a selection of tarts for an occasion. Their range is great. Service can be hit and miss. Atmosphere is very casual. Prices reasonable. Street parking only.

What a wonderful place to have breakfast, The staff are really good and attentive but not intrusive. The ambience is extremely relaxed with a wide range of customers from really you g babies to pensioners all are made to feel welcome. Oh yes the food was really good too.

My partner took me out for a coffee 😋 and I chose this place. Love it. 🥰 I had a soya cappuccino and strawberries 🍓 cake, and my partner had avocado 🥑 and egg breakfast and almond croissant 🥐 as desserts. It was soooo tasty and yummy.😋. Definitely, we recommend this place and will come back. PS. Wonderful garden and friendly staff.

Where to start? Well, it's a bakery, deli, cafe and bar. There are 2 entrances to the cafe, one set of glass doors that take you more into the seating area, and the older wood/glass door taking you directly to the counter. The counter displays the various stunning patisseries that are on offer. We tried the citron, chocolate and raspberry tartes and the cronuts. All superb. Before that, for lunch, we had a pear, Stilton and walnut salad, a croque monsieur, duck egg omelette and a toasted sandwich, washed down with some great coffee and glass bottles of orangina. The indoor seating is light, airy and spacious. There's outside seating too for when the sun makes an appearance. The loaves of bread looked superb, as did the rest of the baked goods. Service was too notch too

Ordered coffee - nothing arrived for over 20 mins despite asking a member of staff. Lady on the till very abrupt, no apology and then very rude

Food was average considering the price I got a Dijon chicken and couldn’t taste the mustard at all 😬 and the chicken was dry.. tart was good. Not sure why there changing £2.70 for a bowl of chips that looks like its from a packet.

We have been visiting this Seriously Superb cafe for years . Remi is an absolute joy and I really hope the people round here realise how lucky they are to have him and his brother and their superb team. Businesses that are successful are the ones where the owners really care and value your hard earned cash...there are now lots of other places since Remi opened but this in our opinion is the finest in the area! The food is delicious, the tarts and pastries are perfect. This morning I had poached egg smoked salmon on some delicious Walnut toast. My husband had the bacon and eggs and loved them. We took some tarts home and I have eaten the lemon meringue and it was C'est magnifique! We took a little box for our neighbour's one cherry and one mixed fruit they were impressed. Was passing and needed a hot drink and a snack takeaway. What I got was the most delicious pastry I can ever recall tasting. Light, crisp and buttery. Even in a lockdown there is a nice selection of pastries - croissants, pan aux chocolate and a beautiful selection of other pastries (wished I’d taken a photo). Also serving hot drinks and fine quality breads. Will definitely come back and would love to try when the world normal again and fully open for a sit down meal. Would highly recommend.

Early breakfast on a wet cold and windy morning, having just dropped my car at a local garage for a service and found myself on foot, battling against the elements. A pleasant suprise! Friendly staff, attentive, polite, and pleasantly enquiring of my needs. Single table, breakfast menu, unhurried, plenty of space, warm and inviting venue. Simple and practical furnishings. Interesting wall displays of local artists work and tasteful paintings. Order taken in good time at the table and the Food presented and delivered within a very reasonable time. Breakfast of scrambled eggs smoked salmon and home baked bread was hot, freshly prepared and delicious , and coffee with a complimentary carafe of water . Wine is available for meals later in the day, but for now, a wide variety of bread and morning goods , baked on the premises for take away. Nicely boxed speciality confections! A very pleasant spacious cafe indeed, in a busy village setting. Chef, Waiter, and other passing staff happy to make friendly conversation, or leave you in peace to enjoy your visit.

I’ve been eating at Maycis for over ten years now. I first discovered their Kings Heath cafe which is now gone, but the Moseley one is just as good if not better. It’s my go to lunch venue, highly recommended. Great sandwiches and amazing cakes.

Maison Mayci is a French bakers, patisserie and cafe. It was wonderful to get really good fresh bread doing the lockdown. Recently I have started to take an early lunch there most weeks. There the menu has some favourites but it is well worth checking the daily specials. Covid safe and very good service.

The best authentic French cafe in Birmingham. The home made bread is superior as are the homemade french treats like the Citron Tart. Relaxed, friendly service always worth dropping in for breakfast, lunch or something on the go.

Wonderful that this place is still open during lockdown ... wonderful bread and pastries, but also wonderful local brewery specialties too !! My recommendation is get there early for the lovely fresh bread !

It is such a treat to have this amazing bread when in lockdown. They are also still selling beautiful quiches and pastries, just what we needed to lift our spirits.

Came here with a friend for lunch, I recommend the Merguez with Salad, its a spicy beef and lamb sausage with vegetables panini was very delicious! Hot and crispy! Very nice service as well. Enjoyed my visit.

Hace poco fui con mi esposo, donde probamos una increíble comida auténtica. Como vegetariano, lucho para encontrar un lugar con opciones que haya sido recién hecho con gran sabor. De ninguna manera me decepcionó. El ambiente era fantástico, el personal no podía hacer más por ti y los precios son realmente razonables teniendo en cuenta la calidad de la comida. Went to M Mayci for anniversary dinner. Wanted French food and got it. Food was superb the only fault was that there was rather too much for my wife. The coffee was excellent.

Poached eggs need to gave a runny centre. All four eggs in our eggs, toast and smoked salmon (£5.40) were overcooked with a hard centre. Mentioned it to two of the staff but we did not want to wait for another try. Basic stuff should be done right the first time.

Luvly friendly helpful staff I have limited vision so the young girl read the take out menu to me and explained the ingredients to me I chose the tuna sandwich may I say it was the best ever Cakes are to die for Highly recommend

El personal fue muy amable y servicial, especialmente cuando pedimos que el almuerzo de nuestra hija se calentara en el microondas. El ambiente es tan relajado que sentimos que te da ganas de quedarte más tiempo, lo que nos llevó a preguntar si sirven alcohol para una futura visita sin niños. . . . ¡ellas hacen! ?

Fuimos a almorzar hoy y comimos plato vegano. Fue absolutamente delicioso, generoso y vino con un montón de pan casero caliente. Mi marido tenía la pera y la ensalada Stilton con patatas fritas. El lo ama. También he tenido el croque que es para morirse. El servicio es excelente, el ambiente relajado, es espacioso e interesante y la música siempre es buena. Brillante valor por su dinero. La selección de pan es impresionante y la pastelería encantadora. ¡Ah, y te sirven el mejor café de Birmingham! ¡No tengo nada malo que decir sobre Mason Mayci en Moseley!

Getting a bottle of water and glasses before you've ordered is always a good sign. We had the croque monsieur. My daughter is a connoisseur of the croque. This one got her seal of approval. Also, lovely coffee, atmos and staff.

My wife and I having strolled around Moseley village decided to have a spot of lunch at Maison Mayci and once again we enjoyed our meal and drink. We shared the Merguez Sandwich £5.80 ( Pan fried beef and lamb spicy sausage)(side salad and diced potato) and the Veggie Platter £7.50 (avocado, vine leaves, hummus, grated carrot, diced potato, olives, gherkins with selection of toasted bread) plus a 175ml glass of Pinot noir/Carraminbre both £4.70.

The awesomeness of this chic French style cafe is not to be underestimated. They serve a delicious flat-white; the tarts behind the counter glisten, French jazz plays through the speakers as the clientele sit quietly enjoying their morning coffee. They even sell Nutella. The effect is a mini-trip to Paris, for a moment you are transported to Saint German; a blissful mini break all for the price of a coffee. Bravo!

Ambos tuvimos quiche y patatas fritas que eran sabrosas pero la pastelería estaba un poco blanda. Luego tuve la frambuesa y almendra que se presentaba muy bien y sabía increíble. Parece los bocadillos habían recalentado. Los ingredientes son baratos. Era realmente difícil debido pan al recalentar (quemada costras que no podía cortar con su cuchillo y tenedor). Ensalada no tenía vestirse y tenían bordes marrones y las patatas fritas eran estilo insípido mcdonalds. El lugar como un todo parece necesitar un poco de atención. Café y pasteles buen aspecto, pero la decoración y el almuerzo no parece tener el mismo orgullo. Que la camarera que no disfrute de ella cuando ella preguntó. De repente la sonrisa cayó y apareció una máscara defensiva. No hay disculpa ni nada de eso. No es culpa de ella, pero tal vez ella tiene que tratar con cuestiones periódicamente? En general, nos fuimos con un desagradable sabor de boca. . Literalmente..

Mi hermana me introdujo a la "Maison Mayci", después de haber estado allí antes, y sabiendo que me gustaría. Ella no estaba equivocada, me encantó! Un ambiente animado, una buena selección de comida para elegir, excelente servicio atento del personal amable y educado. Muy bonito, la decoración típicamente francesa y obviamente un lugar muy popular, ya que estaba lleno cuando fuimos. Elegí el sándwich caliente de carne, con patatas fritas, deliciosas. Mi hija tenía Queso de pasta y los niños que ella fuera pulida tomate en tiempo récord, junto con el pan de ajo. Mi hermana tenía queso de cabra y verduras sándwich tostado, que era, y ella lo disfrutó mucho. Tuvimos algunos pasteles de la pastelería mostrador después, con nuestra taza de té, y estaban bien presentada en un plato con coulis de frambuesa y decorados con crema patissiere. Mi hija tenía el sorbete de mango, que era una delicia. Un verdadero placer para comer aquí y espero volver cuando me alojo con mi hermana de nuevo.
