Came here whilst on a visit to Birmingham. Got in at around 10:15pm. Vibe is shaky and the place seems to be run by youth. Young man at the front informs us that the only seating is a few hastily arranged chairs at the back of the shop. This retail unit is shared with a grocery/off licence operation. The one certainty is this place is a solid 2/5 joint. Do they have product to sell? Check. Are they servicing customer orders? Check. Other than that this place is basic af. Not one item of the three desserts we ordered - bubble waffle, regular waffle, ‘ferrero’ milk shake is worth writing home about. Winging it is an understatement. We also ordered a pistachio milk cake that came packaged with a production date of 31/05. Given we are a month in and this milk cake looked as dry as the Sahara, I sent it back and could tell discussing a refund would take too much effort. I accepted the milkshake in replacement. The white ice cream used as the base for this is so industrial it belongs in a railway yard. Besides I’m better off getting a victoria sponge at Tesco that was probably made at the same time and would likely be 90% cheaper. Given, we selected this place out of the many on offer, to say we are disappointed is putting it mildly.

Desserts were delicious per usual and the guy at the till was really nice

The waffle was very good and normally don’t finish my waffles but this you couldn’t even count how many seconds I ate it in and wondered how your milkshakes would taste like but my order was over £20 it was £27 and I never got no chocolate concrete cake but then I never added it to the basket and my sister said you were supposed to add it to the basket and I forgot but it was fine and everyone enjoyed it I would definitely order from here again

i am tired and frustrated with just eat everytime in our area they just never get to give people their right food and always let them hungry, i got a call about my food being outside for me to come out and the person who delivered my food wasn’t there and it showed delivered and i tried call the number and no response what so ever

Tried the banoffee and white chocolate pancakes, they really are the best in Birmingham’s nd they don’t skimp on the toppings. I do recommend

Went to this shop first time waffle n cookie dough was nice n fresh they guy was serving us was really nice.

I ordered a bubble waffle expecting it to be in a cone and then they tell me it's my fault that I said take out but if any other place can put it in a cone why can they not? We asked for another one and they tell us to pay again and give them the one they messed up, we left and they said 'up to you' until my uncle came in and they said ohh we wanted to refund them but they left even though the guy in white said 'up to you' it's a bit sexist how when three girls want a refund they tell us that it's up to us if we don't want the waffle like that but when a guy comes in they immediately change up the story and say we wanted to refund them even though they clearly wanted us to leave

I ordered a box of 4 doughnuts. Can’t really go wrong with that, however the doughnuts came and were all but one rock solid. I can’t exaggerate enough how hard they were, once eventually getting through it with a knife it started to crumble because the inside was so dry. Obviously these had been sat out for more than a few hours and I’m scared to think if I’m going to be ill from it.

I ordered off the phone, I got a great service and it was quick and efficient. They also do student discounts! The waffle I had was so delicate and fresh with fresh fruit and it was amazing.

Waffle delivered taste burnt was horrible not even a proper bite and had to throw it away.

The negative reviews here seem so fake / picky? I’ve been coming to this place for over 2 years, it’s always so consistent and the waffles are so incredible light and fluffy. The berry remedy has got to be the nicest thing ever - so generous with the amount of fruit. Usually desserts can be so sickly but this isn’t at all! I’m from London and I miss this so so much when I’m not in Brum 🥹

WORST SHOP IN THE WORLD!!!!! Avoid at all costs. The desserts gave me food poisoning! Experienced severe stomach pains and other symptoms. The manager did nothing to resolve the issue. Food was burnt and rock solid. and cold and did not taste nice.

Very poor indeed! Tea was supposed to be desi tea but was just milk warmed up! The milk cakes were clearly frozen and were served half warm and half cold! A total waste of £25 but glad it was only that much wasted!

Very poor service, asked to eat it and dessert was done in take away box, even though eating it had to collect the dessert from counter myself. Was told that even for customers who are eating in they do desserts ok take away boxes which I find hard to believe. Found what looked like a grey hair on one of the desserts, when asked for a fresh one to be made they seemed reluctant to make a fresh one. Safe to say I wouldn’t be visiting here again.

Really bad experience with this place . Ordered a donut box and a drink however my donuts did not come AND they got my drink wrong. They were unprofessional towards me. I rang up regarding the order & spoke to a woman & she said the manager said placed a refund on Uber eats as he was next to her then I proceeded to go on Uber eats which said their order wasn’t eligible for a refund then I rang back 3 minutes later& I asked to speak to the manager & they lied saying the manager wasn’t around but I then said I just spoke to the manager& then they were honest saying yeah the manager is here. The manager was rude and did not resolve any issues .

Following an order I made via Deliveroo I called the store to rectify a mistake with the order… I received terrible customer service the guy who answered put the phone down on me and when I called back didn’t pick up.. I will not be ordering again

I ordered a crepe here, they sent the wrong order. I called the restaurant to resolve the issue & heard a staff member named AMEENA claiming (disrespectfully) that I was lying. I confronted her when I had to travel to the store to get the correct order and she was very rude and lied about saying I lied.

Btec dessert makers, ordered donuts and ask if they were fresh which he said yes. They weren’t even fried just straight in an oven. They didn’t even put sugar on the donuts. The taste was so dry couldn’t taste no sweetness like as I’m just eating on bread.

I have been visiting bubble waffles for almost 2 years now as since I started uni which is across the road from the shop. They have never let me down. The desserts are some of the finest you will find in town. There are few other dessert shops around here but there waffles are no match to bubble waffles. You need to try their strawberry heaven waffle or milk chocolate cookie dough.

The people working there are friendly and the food is a decent price with the quality of food your getting. It's not too sweet but just enough to fill you up which is amazing and doesn't leave you with a sickly feeling.

I was really disappointed with this dessert place especially their bubble waffle which is supposed to be their specialty. I was provided with a bubble waffle laid flat with toppings over it like a standard waffle and a small tub of ice-cream. It tasted okay but I would have just ordered a standard waffle in that case. A bubble waffle is usually provided in a cone shape filled to the bottom with ice-cream and other toppings. This is also depicted in the pictures they have which is misleading. I made the mistake of thinking it was a place I could visit to eat in and didn't realise it was a small segregated corner in the local nisa shop with open access between the two areas that I found off putting . The lady at the dessert counter advised us to go downstairs as there was more space to sit there but it was quiet and creepy down there with no music, so we went back upstairs. The dessert was then served in a cardboard take-out box instead of a plate. At this point we decided to just go home as it wasn't a welcoming place to sit and eat. In future I would pop over to dolce next door which is a much more elegant and inviting place to sit and eat. Or if you want to have a bubble waffle I would recommend the grand central or selfridges where they have a small dessert bar that doesn't skimp on the ice-cream (Edit)- I don't appreciate being falsely accused of working for another dessert company just because you don't like my review. I have been verified on google and my review is truthful to my personal experience. Instead of taking this as constructive feedback you have chosen to discredit me and falsely make accusations against me. This says a lot about the type of people that own this dessert place who are extremely unprofessional and defensive. I've noticed you have attacked other reviewers too who have given this establishment a low rating by accusing them of lying to working for another establishment. Please reflect on the values of your company and your behaviour towards customers. In light of this I will downgrade the rating to one star.

I worked in a popular dessert restaurant for over 5 years. The crepe that I ordered was way under cooked and as a pregnant woman, I had to throw it out because that was just like eating batter. Not okay in any slightest. My partner ordered pancakes, received a crepe, again, under cooked. By the looks of it, you need to clean your crepe machine, please use a stone binge to do so and oil few layers to stop the batter from sticking. From the first bite that I had, if I end up with food poisoning and it threatens my pregnancy, you’d expect to hear from the council.

The dessert were very fresh and tasty. The service was great, loved the presentation and quality of dessert made. Would only suggest they be a bit quicker when making the order as I had to wait about 20 mins or so. But nonetheless, all round would go again and highly recommend

Just bought their exclusive cookie monster large. Very disappointed as it came with no ice cream at all. And it is advertised saying it comes with 2 scoops. LIES.. It Came in a regular size box. Im appalled by the way you have scammed £13.99 for this so called “Large” dessert. I really hope people see this and don’t order so this doesn’t happen to them. Disgusting!!!!

Absolutely disappointed with this shop! I ordered vía Just Eat and the delivery was 1h late, the waffle with fruits was cold, the fruits were not fresh ….I will never order again! Sending me a piece of cake I didn’t want or need to say sorry for being so late it’s pointless!

Appaling experiance...ordered via uber. Ordered at 1 am with a expected delivery time between 1.25 to 1.45am and now its 2.40 am still not recieved my order..uber states that its their drivers delivering rang the store countless times and no answer..worst service recieved

Ordered a ferrero cookie dough post midnight. I saw a picture on Uber eats for the Fer. Cookie dough ...the size of it was huge and since I was sharing it...I thought one was enough after looking at the picture. Once the order arrived, I was disappointed with the quantity sent for both ice cream and cookie dough. Please do better for online orders. We pay the same or sometimes even more.

Don’t order from this place I’ve ordered from here for the second time and both times they order came extremely late. My order was expected at 12:45 and now it is 1:55 and it still hasn’t come and I’ve called the shop multiple times and they haven’t answered at all.

The food was so yummy and the workers were very nice, will definitely be visiting again

Came into the shop on 2 different occasions. First time waited 35/40min for my dessert for cookie dough and milkshakes and the cookie dough was cold. Second time today waited 20 min and ordered 2 drinks and 2 milk cookie doughs. Got back 1 drink and 2 wrong cookie doughs. The service is bad and not worth coming here better off going somewhere else save u money n time.

The lady who that was making the food was rude from when we ordered then proceeded to get our order wrong and do nothing about then come home and see what was packaged for takeout wasn’t even the correct thing that I ordered. DISGUSTING PLACE do not go there and they tell you it’s a 10min wait and proceed to take triple the time!
