Bua Thai in Tandridge

We live locally, and we simply love this place. Every single time we have visited we have enjoyed our time there, and of course the fantastic food. Very authentic, according to my husband who has visited Thailand and loves the food. The people here are extremely friendly, always with nice words and an open smile that never looks fake. They really make you feel welcome and as soon as you take your seat you feel the nice atmosphere. We have no doubts recommending this little restaurant, and always take our visitors here for them to try something different. Not cheap, not particularly expensive, we think it's an excellent price/quality ratio as the food is gorgeous and the service is so lovely.

The decor might be dated from the 1960s but the food is excellent and the service unfailingly polite and efficient. Prices are well below what you would expect to pay so The Bua is well worth a try.

Bua Thai is a quaint little thai restaurant. The interior is with dark traditional thai decor..comfortable enough. Ambience The food is good but not amazing (enjoyed my starters more than the mains which I found too sweet). The portions were a decent enough size but I found the flavours to be not as good as our usual thai restaurant we go to.The service was swift and friendly but maybe it was because it was a weekend I thought the service could have been slightly more attentive...at one point i had to wave my hand to get noticed!Overall...a lovely little restaurant which I considered good but not amazing.

This little restaurant has been in caterham for as long as I can remember, but I have never felt the urge to visit as it does not have a strong high street presence. However after a friend made a recommendation we decided to give it a go. The decor is very traditional Thai and the background music adds to the ambiance. The service is excellent and unassuming and we never lacked drinks. The food was superb. It was fresh, well presented and not heavy on the stomach.Overall a great little restaurant and we will definitely be returning in the future. They also do takeaways which seemed to be very popular with a constant stream of customers.

I always look for a Thai restaurant when on holiday and the Bua Thai had good reviews, so I thought we should give it a go. The decor is dark but very impressive. The menu has a large selection to choose from. We had started with a sharing plate which was perfect as it had a good selection of the most popular starters. The main course for us was chicken green thai curry and duck cooked in a curry sauce, both were very yummy!The restaurant is popular is it got very busy even on a Tuesday night, so this is a good sign!Great tasting food, do give it a try if in the area.

We have made this excellent Thai restaurant a virtual second home! Having lived in Asia for many years and frequent visitors to Thailand, we were delighted to find the food, service an atmosphere to be everything we expect from the best homely Thai restaurants. The owners are lovely, the food consistent and of very high standard, and service great. Keep it up!

This restaurant has a good menu. The mixed starter is very big and served piping hot. My family all enjoy this restaurant including my 10 year old son. Good value for money and friendly staff
