Nice location right next to the railway station, being only a very short walk from the town centre. There is loads of parking nearby. Clean, nicely decorated, and well laid out, with plenty of space. The service was excellent, we could not fault the staff, who were polite, friendly and attentive. The food was really really good, nicely cooked, very well flavoured and beautifully presented. There are separate set lunch and main menus, with a great choice of dishes on both. Alongside this is a good choice of wines, beers and soft drinks. Very good value for money coming in at a little over £42 for two set lunches and two glasses of wine. All in all a very enjoyable lunch, we can highly recommend eating here.

My favourite place for Thai food - yummy! I definitely recommend the lamb massaman and they do great cocktails. The staff have always been friendly and when we have taken our toddler, they have been very inclusive of him too. The decor I lovely as well.

Came here yesterday. Amazing authentic food. Food was super tasty, we had a variety of green curry, massaman curry, northern fish curry and a salmon curry dish…sauces are insanely tasty. Also had aubergine side which lacked much taste and spinach. Reasonable pricing too. Great atmosphere in there too.

Great food and service We booked last minute, initially had a CV table at the front but moved into the main dining area as soon as there was space. Lots of waiting staff and all very attentive!! Will be coming back!

Totally deserves 5 stars in all aspects. Genuinely tasty and authentic Thai food served with equally authentic sincerity, courtesy and warmth. All the usual favourites and a couple of specialities to enjoy. Ended the meal with a very reasonably priced but very delicious lychee martini. Cheers!

Great evening at Thai Pad. The food was awesome. But the service was even better. They should congratulate their staff on being smiley and attentive. The cocktails were extremely good and the price for it all was very reasonable. The atmosphere was perfect, although the wall separating the 2 sides of the restaurant is a bit weird. But, everything was clean and we never felt rushed. Definitely recommended.

I didn't know about Thai Pad until a friend recommended the restaurant and it lived up to all she said to me. Decided to go for a birthday dinner with my husband and so glad I did. The prices are very reasonable, food was spectacular (the squid and the banana fritters were to die for!) and the staff were also amazing, very accommodating as we didn't book but they managed to get us a table. I'd recommend booking though as they're very busy, rightly so. I'm certainly going back.

This restaurant serves the best Thai food I've eaten in years. Been here twice now and both visits consistently excellent all round. Really good atmosphere here on Friday evening, a real going out vibe. I cannot recommend any particular dish because all the ones we've had so far were delicious. We have enjoyed the mixed starters and also sweet thai corn fritters. For mains the Lamb Massaman, Gaeng Dang curry and the Penang curry. The sticky black and white rice is a must as well. Stir fried green beans were v tasty too. For dessert we loved the banana fritters with coconut ice cream. Extensive cocktail and wine list including alcohol free lager and alcohol free cocktail options. Modern and authentic themed interior, very clean toilets. Easy parking for 2 hours right by the restaurant. Train station and taxi rank 50 metres away. Additional all evening parking in the main Oxted car park off the high street, 5 minutes walk away. Prices are reasonable as well. Perfect venue for a date night, dinner with friends or birthday celebration.

There's nowhere quite like Thai Pad - it's the place to be! Hands down the best restaurant in Oxted. My partner and I have been dining in Thai Pad for a number of years now and have ALWAYS had a 10/10 experience. The food and drinks are next level and the staff are consistent with their exceptional service. Khushi never fails to make you feel right at home the second you arrive - thank you for always making it a special fine dining experience for us!

We went with friends for a meal here, as they had been there before and knew we liked Thai food. It did not disappoint all the dishes we had were delicious the best Thai food I have had in a long time.

Very nice place easy to park. We weren't that impressed with the food to be honest. We have tried a lot of thai places and the food was pretty average with the prices being quite high for the portion sizes.

First time here and a real treat! Excellent service and the food was incredible. Make sure you book as we went on a Tuesday evening and it was full. Not surprising once you've tried it!

What a warm welcome, all smiles! Excellent food, both vegan and omni. I eat a lot of Thai food, and this was right up there with the best. 5*

A pleasant dining environment has been achieved in what otherwise would be an uninspiring modern building. Clearly some thought has gone into the table and lighting arrangement. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout. The Thai Pad sharing platter of starters (spring-rolls, fishcakes, tempura-prawns etc.) were very good, as were the steamed pork dumplings (Kanom Jeeb). For mains I chose the Pla-rad sea bass. The dish was billed as being medium spicy, but it wasn’t spicy at all. The sweet and sour sauce though was extremely sweet (think boiled-sweets sweet), far overpowering the small bits of delicately flavoured fish. Perhaps this was just not to my taste. But, my daughter didn’t enjoy her pad-Thai either. I tried this too and again found it to be underwhelming and under flavoured so I was not surprised my daughter didn’t eat much. The omelette lattice was a nice technical feature but tasted slightly stale and added nothing to the flavour of the dish. The chicken pieces were numerous, but again, bland and uninteresting as were the noodles. A side of sliced chilli or chopped peanuts could have jazzed this up, but this was lacking. My partner enjoyed her prawn curry dish (Gaeng Dang, I think) but I felt the sauce was overly thick, rich and heavy. She said she would order this again, so perhaps this was just me. Jasmine rice was indistinguishable from plain steamed rice. In the whole though, for £130 for 2-adults and a child we could have had a better meal elsewhere. Disappointing in light of all of the other positive reviews not to mention being starving hungry and looking forward to this meal for ages. I’d recommend that Thai Pad look to instate the punchy fresh flavours you’d expect from Thailand and move away from westernised flavours akin to the Chinese take-away. But, we won’t be rushing back any time soon - sorry!

6 of us for lunch, we went with the varied and well priced lunch special menu. The food was very good, the service attentive and efficient.

This is our second time to Thai Pad (Oxted) and the reason we have returned is because of the quality of dishes along with the authentic dishes that are being produced, we have just returned from Thailand as this is the closest we have found to to the quality of food.

I went for the lunch set with Thai green curry (chicken) and it was a great choice Quality - portion was very good (not too much not too little), and the curry was actually really nice and does not taste like it was batch cooked. Flavour was deep and authentic. Side dishes (spring rolls and stir fried veg) were so fun to eat too and actually complement the main dish very well. Ambience - great decor and cosy atmosphere. I went on a Monday lunch so it was not too busy. Service - staff were nice and attentive. Food came quite quick too (about 15-20min after I ordered). Price - approx £14 for the lunch set which was so reasonable given the quality, presentation and portion size. Definitely recommend this place for Thai food lovers.

Nice staff and good service! But! when was having my soup I swallowed a small piece of lemon grass .. it got stuck in my throat. This is the chefs fault as they cut the lemon grass in extremely small pieces.

Had a lovely evening in here. Great atmosphere and decor. Only disappointment was the lack of heat in the 3 chilli rated food on offer. Was a bit mild still. Would definitely return though.

Exceptional and consistent quality of service - always greeted with happy smiling faces - is equally matched by the flavour and quality of the food. One of our most frequent places to visit over the past 18 months - the rumours that I have been seen in here 3 times in the same week, even dining alone, may have some truth…. If you love Thai food and haven’t tried it already you need to go just to see what you’ve been missing

Really nice food. Overall vibes are 10/10 - the decor is lovely - it's quite dark, but it's sets a nice ambiance. The food was really good. We ordered the sweetcorn fritters, the papaya salad, and calamari to start. The calamari was exemplary, highly recommend. Mains we did a similar thing and got a bunch of options to share - the cashew dish with prawns was amazing. Vegetable green curry? Incredible. Pad Thai was ok, not the best I've ever had, but everything else made up for it. We did also get the morning glory, I wouldn't do that again. All in all, I would recommend this restaurant and I would go again. It was really reasonably priced considering we also ordered wine on top of all of the food.

Visited on the 27/01/24. Thankfully we reserved a table as this place was packed. Really good atmosphere, nice friendly staff very good selection of drinks and cocktails. The food.. wow. Hands down the best Thai food I have had at a restaurant. We tried a new dish of Crispy Beef.. it was amazing. Many thanks to the staff and manager for such a warm welcome and great service.

Amazing reception from the minute we walked in. Friendly staff took our coats and showed us to our table. Such a great atmosphere! Huge cocktail menu...it difficult to choose just one ! I had the chicken satay to start which was melt in the mouth. Then I had the Pad Thai for my main. Absolutely delicious. Lovely waiter kept our glasses topped up with wine and water. There isn't a place to compare this too. Cant wait to return soon !

A big thanks to Khushi and the Thai Pad team for a lovely dining experience. I called and spoke with Khushi to book a table for three at the last minute. Upon arrival we were greeted by the team and shown to our table. The food was delicious like always. Today I tried The Weeping Tiger steak and Thai Calamari, which were cooked to perfection. The team are always on hand to help ensure you are having a great time. I would definitely recommend visiting the Thai Pad and do not doubt you will become a regular customer, with Khushi always happy to see you walk through the door.

I have been to the Thai Paid a few times now and the overall dining experience is always top notch. Tonight when we went, we were kindly greeted by Khushi who got us a table last minute after we had called before we got there. Today I had the special crispy pork dish with green beans and rice which was delicious, and I also have had the gaeng dang curry multiple times and it is a favourite of mine. I’m always amazed by the presentation of the cocktails with beautiful garnishes, which really adds to the overall experience. The staff are always so attentive and were understanding and accommodating of my food allergy. I look forward to my next visit as a regular to try more of the wonderful dishes in such an atmospheric and welcoming restaurant.

Had a nice lunch with the family today (Sunday) the staff are really accommodating and polite so no complaints there. The food mostly was mostly good but the odd dish was mediocre. I’m being fussy but feel like other Thais I’ve had have been better. My one complaint that has lead me to write this review is I booked the latest time available for lunch which was 13.45. My son his partner and baby were running a bit late , which is no surprise with a little one. Once we got to 2 o’clock the waitress came out and said I just want to point out the kitchens close at 2.30. Sorry but you shouldn’t be taking bookings at 1.45 if the kitchen closes at 2.30. Especially when I booked the table on line it quoted they need the table back at 3.45. So we found ourselves ordering starters sides mains rice noodles drinks all in one go and felt rather rushed. I know it’s just a niggle ,but spoilt what was meant to be a nice relaxed Sunday lunch. I definitely won’t be visiting on Sunday lunch again unless they keep the kitchens open till at least 3. Oh and one last moan , the restaurants far too dark in there as daylight is blocked out by shutters around the whole of the inside.

Excellent quality Thai food. Several levels up from the chains that have sprung up everywhere. Good service and decent drinks list. Nice atmosphere and even though busy the decibel level was such that you could have a proper conversation. Small downside - the tables are very close together but that didn’t spoil anything. Would recommend

We decided to go here for our evening meal as we were on a little getaway. The staff were really nice and gave their honest opinions about certain items we asked them about on the menu. This was really helpful when it came to me picking my main meal. We have two lots of spring rolls to start. The vegetable and the duck. My friend was not too keen on the duck and asked to change them, and they were very understanding and changed them for him. The mains came, and we were both happy apart from my egg fried rice could have been cooked a little longer, but apart from that, they were both good. The drinks were also very good. My friend tried quite a few of their mocktails, and I had their zombie. This was nice and strong and tasted great.

The servers were all extremely friendly and the food arrived fairly quickly. The restaurant had a mouthwatering menu, it was so hard to choose what to have! They had a very good variety of soft drinks as well as alcoholic. Our meals were delicious and so flavourful. Thai pad has definitely become a new favourite spot!

Yummy authentic Thai food in a very attractive restaurant tucked away opposite Spoons. And x100 tastier! Nice wine. Atmosphere wasn't sizzling as it was a Sunday lunchtime service and they close around 3ish. Very nice place though.

The food is AMAZING 🤩 we thought we had ordered too much but we finished everything. Menu has a good selection of items. Think we had made our reservations 2 months in advance and they only had 9pm available. It's very popular and I can see why. We were a group of 7. Looking forward to more visits as its one of the most authentic Thai tastes outside of Thailand. It's right opposite the station so very convenient.

We had to wait over an hour and a half for our main courses, and despite asking several times when our food was, no one could apologise or give us a clear answer. Our food arrived and was not awful but when paying and asking for money off due to the long wait and poor service we were told that 10% discount was “perfectly reasonable” despite not even receiving an apology. Generally disappointed overall with the service and lack of customer service throughout our meal.

Excellent food … but a few minor things that marred our experience. We did arrive 15 min before our late lunch reservation, but as only 3 tables occupied we were able to be seated right away. We weren’t given too many options as to where we could sit, only 2 tables were our options. Both options were beside the occupied tables. Not just close, but right beside! There were at least 20 tables free, dressed up but unoccupied. Why weren’t we able to sit elsewhere? At least one table away from an occupied table? Of course l, we should have asked! It’s not as if the 3 occupied tables were even near each other (could understand if they wanted to have the tables occupied close together to make serving easier, quicker, but this wasn’t the case). However, the food made up for this seating arrangements!! Absolutely delicious. Had the veggie green curry, one of the best I have had in a very long time. Dessert also was a delight! We couldn’t eat everything and our remaining dishes were nicely packaged for us. We will come back, the food is definitely the star !

We went here for lunch on a Friday and it was relatively quiet. There was a lunch set menu in place which had a good choice and very well priced (£16 for a starter, main, rice, and side of veg). Our meal came to £50 including tip, and that included two meals, an extra starter of calamari and a soft drink each. The food was very tasty, well presented and the service was quick and friendly.

First visit to this restaurant but it will be the first of many. Lovely interior, attentive and delightful staff and then there’s the food. It’s hard to know where to begin - without doubt we had one of the most delicious meals we have ever eaten, and I don’t think I have ever tasted vegetables cooked so perfectly and with so much flavour. I’m not really a photographing food kind of person but I actually wished I had. The dishes were presented exquisitely and frankly everything about the meal was so good that we were stunned into a sort of appreciative stupor! Just go. I can’t do it justice with words, it was sublime and you just need to taste it for yourself.

We regularly visit the Thai Pad in Oxted and loooove the food so much! We recently visited for a weekend lunch though and WHAT a great lunch menu! They have set menu dishes that are super reasonably priced and include a range of menu items for everyone to enjoy! We had the drunken duck which was part of the lunch menu and sweet and sour chicken which wasnt but still great value :) I would definitely recommend for lunch or dinner!
