We came here for Bryer's Friday Pizza night. With its continental theming and authentically sourced ingredients, they were pizza's like no other with a distinctive and welcoming, wood-fired taste. They felt like a real treat and were a world away from the fayre found at your typical pizza restaurants. This may well be because Bryer's food is genuinely head and shoulders above many other coffee shops. You get the sense that real care and love has been taken in every last thing that gets delivered to your table. This brings me to the Bryer's Brownie... Now I am a bit of a closet Brownie connoisseur and these are honestly up there in the top 5 of Brownies that I have ever had. With their Gooey middles and fudgy surface - it was true pudding perfection. If you are looking for somewhere unique and special to enjoy anything from a coffee and cake to a Premium Pizza - this one is for you!

If you haven't been back to Bryers since its re-fit, then I would thoroughly recommend a visit - the new oven baked flat breads are a delight to behold (& eaten of course). I was there today with wife & daughter. I had the Salmon and Cheese flatbread. Absolutely beautiful - I could have easily eaten another two but that would have been naughty. Will definitely have again!

Cute deli/coffee shop. Ended up picking here on the reviews, we are camping up the road and we couldn’t make our cadac work so opted to grab a breakfast here. Service was lovely, all staff were smiling and genuinely happy. We both ordered the salmon bagel and a latte. It came quite promptly which was good as we were in a rush, but it didn’t look rushed & was freshly made. Everything came together which I like. Coffee is strong but lovely if you like proper coffee which we do! Overall really glad we picked this place, shame were not local, but if we camp up the road again we will be back! Also there is a free car park next door - added bonus!!

Perfection can come in the simplest forms sometimes. In particular the beautifully heated Croissant with Barber's ham and slightly melted cheddar is a delight for the palate. Followed by an Extra dark Mocha (which I've now Christiened, The Black Hole). Often busy & buzzing, with friendly, courteous staff. Normally, going to a coffee shop is a trade off between price and quality. Bryer's hits the sweet spot of having lovely coffee and tea, delicious sandwiches and generous portions of lovely fresh cakes at a very reasonable price. Had the opportunity to go for lunch with my wife (combination of days off and working from home), and we had a lovely lunch. The cheese board was lovely, but I would recommend extra crackers or bread, as you get a decent portion

I had some time to kill so stopped off at Bryer’s for a coffee. There was a very friendly welcome to the extent that I forgot to order my coffee decaf. I realised after taking one sip (which was very nice) but they refused to take the money for a replacement even though it was entirely my fault. The decaf was pretty tasty. There were cakes and various other deli bits which looked good.

Working in hospitality myself I am very picky but I really really love this place. The menu is not extensive but the quality of the produce shines through, I love that they use local sources such as Welbeck bakehouse and Hasbean coffee as well as constantly have something exciting on the shelves of their deli from craft gin to olives and cheeses they really have it all. The staff are so friendly, the new gentleman who has recently joined is charming and always happy to chat and remembers to bring mum and I extra milk for our tea and is happy to adapt the menu for my random pregnancy cravings. If you haven't been I'd really recommend a visit, it does get busy at lunch but to be honest I think that speaks for itself! See you soon guys!x

I recently visited Bryer's at 1130 on a Sunday, with my boyfriend who hadn't been before and I suggested going as their food is delicious...I was quite embarrassed as when we arrived they had ran out of most things on the menu that we liked and when I asked for blueberry pancakes the girl told me they had ran out of blueberries and not much left of the pancake mixture (which I find odd as only need flour, eggs and milk). When I asked for any other fruit available she pointed to an apple in the fruit basket!? I appreciate that they are a busy place but 9 times out of 10 when I come (which isn't often) they have run out of what I want. The girl who served me was friendly and did apologise to me as I was clearly disappointed but I just felt compelled to write a review stating my frustrations as they always run out of what I want to order!

Since opening a few years ago, Bryers has grown in popularity. I have enjoyed visiting time and time again, sometimes as a solo eater, or as a meeting place with friends, but usually with my long suffering spouse; we love the food there - there is a great selection of food and drink, and a fine selection of excellent produce to purchase for home enjoyment. As a slight downside, it can get busy, BUT, we work around that and will sometimes catch a brunch or a coffee and cake after the lunchtime slot. The staff are a nice selection themselves and are accommodating and friendly - if time permits, a conversation will occur which is not of a patronising nature to keep the punter happy. It's definitely worth at least one visit to see if it's your 'cup of tea', or one of the other amazing teas that are on offer - thanks for reading, John

I never thought I would mark a place down for being too generous but I'm afraid I have to. Firstly, can I say that my goat's cheese, roast vegetables and pesto takeout sandwich on flatbread yesterday was sensational. But it was humongous! Ridiculously huge. I had half yesterday and half today. I have a big appetite but even splitting this over two days, with the rocket and coleslaw that came with it, it was still a big lunch. It was also expensive at £4.50. I would much prefer paying a little less and getting a more reasonable portion. I know anyone who reads this will think I'm mad to complain but there is such a thing as too much of a good thing.

Bryer's is fab. It's our local Deli and Cafe. Great food, drinks, deli, atmosphere etc etc. Friendly staff and a few bits n pieces to buy - posh foodie bits. The only reason I knock it down a star is because it closes too early on a Sunday, and I wish they'd stay open later in the evenings - somewhere that's not a pub (even though they sell alcohol) would be lovely to go to just for a coffee in the evening-same on a Sunday! Despite that, get yourself down there.

Bryer's offer a surprisingly good lunch for its location, it's the sort of Deli you would expect to find in somewhere like West Bridgford so it was a pleasure to come across it in a local village, my husband and I enjoyed a great sandwich of bacon Brie and cranberry along with a coffee that could rival Costa on any day. My one criticism would be the upstairs area, I don't think the tables and seating suit the style of food, the upstairs looks more like a greasy cafe than upmarket deli, and the tables and floor were covered in food on our visit, however that would certainly not put me off returning and I have already planned a mid week lunch meet up with friends.

I live locally but haven't had chance to write a review until now, although I have visited a handful of. The service I must point out is excellent, I have only as I said visited a few times but I have always been treated like an old friend! The staff are always helpful and are really knowledgeable about the products on offer, and they always serve with a smile. I visited with a friend and we were debating which cakes to have between a choice of two, and when we said we'd go for one of each but share them we sat down only to have two plates brought to us with half of each cake on each plate- so thoughtful and it's little touches like this that make people want to return. As a student I always look forward to visiting when I return home, the food is always great and being vegetarian I always find it easy to find something really good to eat. The decor is modern, vibrant and the place is always well cleaned and kept. The items for sale are a great touch if you want to buy a gift for a foodie and the coffee is great which is an added bonus. Will keep returning as it's just an all-round gem for the village and great for all.

This is my favourite place for miles around for the quality and price of food, coffee and for the friendly and helpful service. I have visited 15 times + in the last year. They usually have in 3 different kinds of gluten-free cake that are the best I have ever tasted eating out. When I have caught them with fresh bread left in stock, the loaves I have bought have been very good. They also sell a fab range of olives, oils, drinking chocolate, wine, Italian imports all very good quality, although for me these are priced more for presents than general use. The service is great: they don't make you feel rushed if you come in close to closing time and when I have asked for one of the salads on the menu to be adapted to suit my diet they have been more than helpful. Reading one of the other reviews, yes, it is difficult to get in touch as there isn't a phone number but seeing how busy they get they wouldn't have time to answer a phone during opening hours and get it so right anyway. I have found the opening times on the facebook page to always be up to date. Enjoy!

I visited the deli on Saturday at about 11.30am, they were shutting at 1.30 for the east leake Christmas light ceremony. I have been here before, the food is great. But they were distracted and the service was poor. I ordered 5 sandwiches and 6 slices of their various cakes to take away, for some guests who were coming for Saturday lunch. I live 25 minutes away, and when I got home with my order all of the cakes were missing. I spent over £35 for 5 take away sandwiches! Since Saturday I have called them a number of times - no answer, I have also emailed them through their website and my message been returned as undeliverable.I wouldn't normally write a negative review, but these guys didn't check my order before I left and do not have any method for their customers to contact them. They owe me a refund of around £15 for items I did not receive and have not provided a way for me to contact them directly, besides getting in my car and driving for 25 minutes to see them!

I don't even have a sweet tooth but had to buy some as they looked so amazing! My soya latte was frothy and smooth, my parents' teas were served in individual pots and handle less cups, but were kindly offered alternatives. I thought I'd leave this review as I was astounded at the complaints I saw saying that it was too expensive. Really? I mean, the food is clearly quality butcher's meat, not some dodgy supermarket stodge, like you tend to get in greasy cafes.Mossdeeping20 seems to think you can buy a meal for less than £5? Where can you buy a decent meal these days for less than £5. Any meal, anywhere? I think he's living in the past - he must be old. If you were to go into the supermarket and buy the ingredients for an English breakfast, those alone would be over £5. Honestly, I can't believe some people. Tight git.

When I reviewed this last year I was disappointed by the pricing, but I am pleased to say that the value for money has improved. Great selection of pastries, including seasonal rhubarb tarts, and a good portion of granary toast, English muffins, toasted tea cakes, or a bacon butty, excellent coffee and tea. I like that the jam is served separately, you don't have to use an old jar that other people have been digging about in, one of my hates. We pop in every week for a quick breakfast and selection of artisan bread and high quality cooked meat to take away. The staff have settled in now and know us and can anticipate our order, and the service is mostly excellent - occasionally have to ask for more milk. It is getting very popular, attracting across the age range, the ambience is good and the cafe and loo is spotless. They are opening on Sundays now for brunch. Could they improve? Well, I think they're missing a trick not having a coffee and tea of the week special. I'd also like a bowl of soup occasionally. And I overheard Ryan telling a customer about a pasta Dine-in meal offer, including a bottle of wine, but it wasn't well advertised. We'll keep coming back. Well done!!!

I visit regularly sometimes alone, sometimes as a couple and other times as a family and we always receive the same high level of service. No it isn't cheap but find me a coffee shop of this style that is. This isn't a chain, this is a individual unique gem for the village. One of the key points for us is that it does support local trades by importing theur produce rather than the big chains bleeding the market dry. Cakes and pastries are always fresh and tasty, the range of teas is a delight and coffee hits the spot. I go in here for lunch sometimes and every time it is incredible. Easily the best lunch available in the village. The staff are always polite and welcome me with a smile. Even when they are busy i'm not waiting long for my food. Very well presented inside, and a fantastic new addition to the village.

Went into Bryers for the first time today and thought the look of the establishment first class, especially in sleepy East Leake, but the staff have let down this little gem by not keeping the eating area clean. We sat at a dirty table, then moved, as a bigger table became available. Though the waitress could clearly see our table was dirty, she placed the drinks on top of the crumbs left by the previous patrons. The floor was dirty (so too were the staff aprons) and in the time that we sat there, all the used tables remained uncleaned whilst the assistants chatted down stairs. Admittedly the coffee shop did have a few patrons, but it wouldn't have taken much for a staff member to run a cloth over the tables and sweep the floor. Coffee was so nicely presented with grated chocolate, pity it was only served warm not hot. Would have liked to have been told to place our order down stairs.

I often pop in here for a coffee after a gym session. The staff are always pleasant and the coffee is excellent and fairly priced. The cafe can get a little crowded at peak times, but that's only to be expected, cafes of this quality are a rarity in the countryside and we are lucky to have one in East Leake. I used to buy coffee beans here but it's not so easy to choose now that the display has been re-arranged. I don't buy cakes and pastries as they are too expensive, though they look delicious.

I liked the look of this from the outside, and the shop area is lovely. However, I found the value for money very poor for a coffee and pastry in the morning. Yes, very nice surroundings and nicely presented food and shop area. But you certainly pay for it. The croissant I bought to take away was beautifully packaged in a small box, very artisan, but the girl serving took ages to pack it up and it cost a bombFor a good value, well cooked and friendly breakfast go across the road to the Chef's Cafe. It may be plastic tablecloths, but the staff care, are really trying hard, and the prices are reasonable. A coffee, pot of tea (with two teabags and fresh milk), and two toasted teacakes was a little shy of £5.00. By the amount of people in there and at the tables outside it seems that word is getting out.

My biggest mistake is not to go here often enough! It is right on the doorstep so it is easy to get into the habit of associating 'going out' with travelling! This place has a lovely relaxed ambience in a light and airy venue. The glass fronted mezzanine shows what can be done in these 60's buildings. The food is of excellent quality, varied, interesting and oh so difficult to choose between! The . Even better you can buy anything that you have enjoyed from the delicatessen downstairs. Staff are always helpful and friendlyA great place for a quick bite to eat or leisurely 'catch up' with friends. I have enjoyed lunch with teenage sons, a 'girly' lunch and just treated myself and partner after the weekly shop. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Came for and had a great coffee - but who could resist those flapjacks. Then who could resist coming back for a goats cheese doorstep sandwich at lunchtime? Then maybe just one of those carmel slices to finish off. Then maybe some balck bomb cheese and a couple of bottles of local real ale to take home.Oh dear, did I really? Yep, 'fraid so - and to quote Arnie, ' I'll be back'.

What a great addition to East Leake - just what we needed. Great coffee, super cakes and the cheese selection is second to none. The staff are young, friendly and always eager to help. There is also a great selection of olives plus rather unusual dips/sauces/jams etc. Well worth a visit or two !

Since I work from home I often go here to work during the morning. I've never felt awkward working there on my own and also never feel like they want to rush me out, despite sometimes still being there as their busier lunchtime period begins. The staff are really friendly and the selection of teas they offer is fantastic. I particularly recommend their cinnamon spice fruit tea which has some great flavours! The cakes also look awesome, although I have managed to resist temptation so far, and there is always a buzz as people come and go for breakfast, mid-morning coffee and cake, and lunch. I certainly plan to go there for a lunch platter sometime - the antipasti looks fantastic and if food is as good as their service and tea then it should be really good.

Been here about 3 times now with ladies from work for lunch. Very good every time, friendliest coffee service ever! Good sandwiches, nice selection of ingredients for fillings. The Mocha was fab, very creamy, in a choice of strengths, with its own mini pot of chocolate to add to it.

Since Bryer's has opened, I've found an excuse to visit every time we're in the area seeing family. It's become a firm favourite for tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cake and just a quiet sit down. Staff are friendly, food and drinks excellent and the quality of the goods in the deli far beyond what you'd expect in a village.Try to make a visit, and hope you find a seat: it's always busy!

A wonderful addition to East Leake! Food is delicious and freshly prepared. Some different and unusual combinations for sandwiches rather than the usual boring fillings. Friendly service and everywhere was very clean. The cakes are absolutely delicious! The deli is top quality and has some lovely products. Highly recommended.

Visiting family in the area - popped into Bryer's for a light lunch. One queues to order food, which is served to you whether sitting, outside (a few tables) in the front (two tables) or upstairs on a mezzanine - which is bright and welcoming. We went there on two consecutive days and each time ordered something different i.e. baguetes, various breads etc with various fillings which you can see in the counter is fresh and made to order. There is a variety of deli products that one can purchase. The cakes looked delicious -next time we are in the area will have to go for either morning coffee or afternoon Tea and try one of them.Would have no hesitation in recommending this great little deli/cafe

I have been 3 times to Bryers since its recent opening and my wife has been even more regularly. It is the only cafe of its type in East Leake and has a clean modern feel. The premises are quite small with only 2 tables downstairs besides those on the pavement, so most people will head upstairs, where there is the most space. It is light an airy with a pleasant atmosphere. Most importantly the food is very good. You don't come here for a three course meal, more sandwiches, scones and cakes along with a coffee or wine. You may then shop and buy some very good cheeses and other deli type foods along with a bottle of the wine you may have just been drinking. The service is good, very polite and welcoming. I would happily recommend you spend a pleasant half an hour or so here. However at times it can get busy due to its clear popularity and small size. Overall, Bryers is a a big plus to the area.

The food was ridiculously lovely Staff friendly and welcoming Vibe gentle I had the curried muscles & chips because. . What?!?!... Chips were really crisp, sauce for the muscles really nice. Just enough spice to know it was there... really satisfying rich food. My wife had the gluten free fish and chips on musgy peas. She really enjoyed it. When food is served with such care, well presented, that's a great start. A really good find!
