Food is next level! Beautiful restaurant and I love the whole relaxing tapas vibe- no rush, fresh food, fab service. Will definitely return again and again - haven't been disappointed yet.

Went for a drink , party of 12. I was treated to a very nice complementary double gin and tonic because it was my 80 th birthday. I thought that was a lovely gesture so thank you Brownstones

The food was absolutely fantastic but front of house let them down. No smiles. Did not ask if more drinks required. Dessert menu was not offered. Cocktails were poor. Plates cleared before finished eating. I cannot express how fantastic the food is here but front of house requires major review. Common courtesy and a smile go a long way towards customer satisfaction Neighbouring restaurant was full to capacity

Fantastic place to enjoy tasty food with lovely staff who took care of us. Made our friends birthday very memorable. We had a variety of dishes and every single one was amazing!

This is probably the 10th time we have eaten here. The food is absolutely fantastic, we have never had a single dish we weren't happy with. Staff are always very friendly and welcoming. The best food I have found within 10 miles of Coalville

Food was excellent. Service however not so much so. On placing our drinks order, come back with we don't have your lager, your cider or a plain and simple gin. I being the cider drinker was offered a choice of 2 fruity cider creations . And I hasten to add the bottles are not a pint. And another guest with our party was charged for a double gin but never asked for it

It had great reviews but it certainly did not live up to the experience! Main was that bad we could not eat it and despite complaining they did nothing. Paid the bill and left. Now looking for a pub to have food. Would not recommend. Only us two in the restaurant so we can now see why. It would not have been so bad if they took the main dish off the bill but we paid in full and left out of pocket and hungry. Won’t ever go again. Don’t recommend at all. The G&T was nice that is the only positive.

Lovely food served in a relaxed way (AS TAPAS SHOULD BE!) by friendly staff.Such a shame that most negative reviews of this restaurant are clearly written my clientele completely ignorant to the concept of Tapas! These unjustified negative reviews will clearly affect the footfall to the restaurant! Yes it was very quiet but we will definitely return & support this great addition to a very poor town!

My girlfriend and I had a meal here last night. There were only a couple of tables with guests, so it certainly wasn't busy. The staff were all very friendly, seated us and came back shortly to take our drinks order and a little while after that our food order. The food was well prepared and fresh although the way it was served to the table was a bit random. If you can't take spice heat, then beware what you order. We both love spicy food. And when the menu says garlic, they really mean garlic! my girlfriend absolutely reeks of garlic this morning and I don't normally notice it. Would I go back? Yes. but next time I would hope they had a bit more heating in the place.

The worst experience I’ve had in a long time! It’s such shame as the surroundings are nice the staff were lovely, however the problem apparently was out of their control. The table was booked 2 weeks previously for 7pm. When we arrived the restaurant was quiet, and we were shown to our table of 4. We ordered drinks, and then tapas was ordered about 7.20. 3 tapas each and 3 extra. While we sat a larger group arrived and then another table of about 6. As we sat chatting while waiting for our tapas, I noticed food coming out of the kitchen frequently, but nothing to our table, groups who came in after us were already eating. More food came out, but still nothing for our table. We ordered more drinks, After about 1 hour we asked the staff when our food would arrive, she said it was on its way. I mentioned that other tables had their food whilst we had arrived before them. The staff said that these other tables had PRE-ORDERED! Eventually at 9.40 a small amount of food arrived about 1/4 of what we ordered, non of what my son ordered was there, my husband smashed poppadom’s arrived (which must have taken all of 3 minutes to prepare! with some very dry chicken tikka pieces (3) and a small dish of mini onion bahjis Then nothing! By 8.50 my son was staring at an empty place mat, and we’d all eaten the small dish of mini onion bahjis between us as we were starving! The waitress went to the kitchen again and came back stating that the chi was cooking the pre orders first and we would get 30% discount for inconvenience! How can they give us 30% discount on food we never even had! Eventually we said we were leaving, and offered to pay for the drinks. The staff did apologise and took £20 for the drinks. And we left, very hungry, angry but mostly, extremely disappointed !

Saturday night - Restaurant empty other than our group of 8 (max capacity approx 60). Food was good but speed of service was ridiculous. We waited for over an hour for the food with no explanation as to why it was taking so long. Very expensive in comparison to other establishments nearby whose rood is far better. Owners need to look at their audience and competition if they want to remain in business. We wouldn’t recommend or re-visit.

My daughter saw this restaurant and saw the reviews on the restaurant page were really good so suggested we visit. The place was empty apart from us (we walked past 2 others that were full, which should have given us a clue!). The staff were helpful with the menu, which was good as it was a mix of Indian, italian and English tapas. We decided on a mix as my granddaughter is only young and not used to spicy food and we asked for nothing too hot and spicy. When the food arrived it was well presented but we couldn't eat most of it as it was too hot. My husband likes spicy food so he ended up with most of it. The only part I enjoyed was the fishcake, although £7 for one small fishcake and a mini bowl of salad I thought was a bit steep! A disappointing experience and one which I will not be repeating.

First visit to Brownstones. Had a selection of 6 items from the standard and indian tapas menus between 2 of us, which was plenty! Every plate was delicious. The indian tapas was spicy but not too hot. Everything was beautifully flavoured and nicely presented. Good drinks menus with range of beers, gins and cocktails. The service was great. Had a chat with the chef who is very passionate about the food! This is a fabulous place offering something different from your average pub/indian grub.

Best Indian cuisine in Kegworth. Must visit once. Hygiene, best customer service and best food in village. I’ll visit again

Just love the friendly service and great food here. The only thing that disgusts me about the venue is the state of the toilets. The grim ladies was out of order on our last visit and was directed to the disabled loos. OMG this is even worse. Not just manky but also had a shit washing pot by the loo. Sorry but this is beyond disgusting. Makes me wonder what the hygiene standards are in the kitchen irrespective of the score on the door of 5. Please sort it out because the state of the loos makes me retch. Thank you.
