Brogans in Wiltshire

Stopped off for breakfast before a two hour journey home, it was busy, but i was served very quickly by the friendly staff. the breakfast was piping hot and the coffee was delicious, plenty to choose from on the menu, I went with the "Large" Breakfast. Good quality, value for money,Highly recommend

Brogans prices were very competitive, however, they have raised their costs above inflation, for example, simple breakfast, highest cost in Devizes, new menu looks good, big difference in costs though, be aware when you go to what was the best in town, now the most expensive

As we wandered round Devizes we noticed Brogans had a decent menu and always seemed to be busy, always a good sign. So got to 13.00 and both hungry so off to Brogans for lunch, managed to get the last table on the main floor, both had ginger beers and paninis, Mrs C had rosted veg and hummus, I had mushroom, spinach and tomato and a portion of chips, paninis were very good, service was pleasant and loos were clean.

Love this cafe as have Lea &Perrins Worcestershire sauce in condiments.Warm goats cheese salad was delicious, friend enjoyed hummus and red onion sandwich .We both enjoyed dessert of carrot cake and treacle tart .Service was efficient and personable.Enjoy having meals here.

Excellent small breakfast. So nice not to have to cook for myself! All their food is 5 star. I would certainly recommend the small breakfast, their fried bread is to die for.

Popped in for a cooked breakfast. Just what was needed. Such quick service and great food, waitress offered to change my mushrooms to an extra hash brown as didn’t want mushrooms. Definitely be going back.

Fantastic food, scampi chips saus and chips,great friendly staff, spotlessly clean,real pleasant place to eat,very quick servicefood piping hot,very fair prices as u get good size portion, Only 1 negative the sausage skins I found to be very tough spoiling a nice sausage,had a job to even cut with the knife,but apart from that,yeah defy visit again when I return to devizes but avoid the sausage

Consistently lovely coffee, and food - particularly a fan of their beautiful Eggs Royale! Lovely friendly service, very reasonably priced, thoroughly pleasant atmosphere. Not much more can you ask, really! Absolutely recommended, rapidly becoming a favourite haunt for my partner and I.

Always enjoyed the food here, been coming for breakfast since it opened. However today was a bit of a let down I think the meat supplier has changed and the dip in quality is noticeable. Not sure the current breakfast is worth th premium price £31 for 2 breakfast and 2 lattes. I understand that costs have increased and business owners are in an unenviable position however I thin the spoons breakfast is now of a similar quality at half the price. I wouldn't mind paying a premium if it showed in the quality

We know it’s out of are way (as we live in London) but every time we are in the area we always have a breakfast and they have always been good each time. With really lovely staff, we just wished we lived nearby!

I’ve used Brogans numerous times for food. Which is fantastic. However, sitting there on the last visit, I had the unpleasant experience of a staff member encourage a customer to remove his short to show off his tattoo. So while eating breakfast, we had a chap topless proudly showing the staff his new artwork. Really, it’s a bloody restaurant, not a cat work for an over weight tattooed guy. Last time we both visit there!

We had a lovely lunch from an extensive menu.Comfortable and clean interior with seating outside as well.Will be visiting again.

1st time trying Brogans, fancied a late breakfast and so glad we decided to pop in here. Very good price for what you get, food was piping hot and tasted so fresh, not greasy at all! Grab a menu from the counter and pick your table. Take the menu back and order at the till and you will be given a table number. We waited less than 10minutes for the food to come out which was very fast. Also, I asked for no black pudding or mushrooms and I was then asked what I would like instead! Hardly anywhere asks this or lets you do this, so I managed to get an extra sausage and an extra hash brown! All staff were also very pleasant! Food 10/10 Price 10/10 Value 10/10 Will be back soon!

Stopped for a late breakfast - really very good. Nice varied menu and very quick service. A little expensive, but excellent quality and service - my wife said it's one of the best breakfast's she'd had this year. Only real gripe was tiny table (for two) given the large size of plate... add a couple of cups of coffee and it was rather more cramped than it needed to be. That aside, would go again.

This is the only coffee shop/restaurant (and believe me I’ve tried many) that NEVER fails to deliver on customer service and quality of food. All ages are well catered for and with a safe area for young children it makes it the perfect place for everyone.

Lovely food that really hit the spot. Quick service, hot food that was really tasty. Catered well for vegetarian as well as meat-eaters. We sat inside which was nice but spotted a lovely courtyard back garden which would have been equally enjoyable. Overall, really impressed. Thank you.

Something of a curate's egg (if you pardon the pun). Lunch with the family and I opted for a cooked breakfast. Alas, what arrived was a mixed affair. Excellent bacon, juicy and full flavour, is let down by a butcher's sausage that is more a butcher's chipolata, an overcooked egg swimming in fat, and toast that is less toast than just browned, chewy bread. On the plus side the beans and tomato were lovely, which helped make up for the flavourless mushrooms on the side. All in all, I've had better and had worse but when the breakfast cost is in double figures I do expect more. A shame. Can I just add one big upside about the cafe: the Bakewell tart is an astonishing feat, especially looking back at the mostly terrible ones I have had elsewhere! Skip breakfast and load up on cake!

The customer service wasn’t great ! The breakfast arrived and the poached egg was so wrinkled and over cooked leaving water on the plate . Presentation was poor all in all very disappointing as we checked Tripadvisor for reviews.

We visited twice in one week. The breakfast was fantastic and our daughter loved the pancakes. The coffee was excellent. The downstairs seating area is so unusual and felt like a little secret. Totally loved it and wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Had a very tasty sandwich before setting off on our Wadworths Tour recently. Excellent selection of lunch time snacks. Yum!

Ordered a bacon bap and a scone with 2 hot drinks this morning. Sat downstairs on a table that hadn’t be cleaned but it was very wobbly so moved to the next table which also hadn’t been cleaned. (Bit concerning with covid). My bacon roll...

As a family we visit Brogans regularly, the staff are extremely friendly, polite and provide a brilliant service to all customers.The food is amazing, all cooked freshly for you and delivered to your table quickly.We would highly recommend visiting and taking a look for yourselves!!Well done Mark, Brogan and the team!

I had the roasted vegetables salad with goats cheese and it was absolutely lovely. My husband had the pancakes with bacon and enjoyed his as well. Good quick service. Tables well spaced. Impressed.

Like the Eiffel Tower, The Statue of Liberty, Red Square, The Taj Mahal, Rome’s Colosseum and Sydney’s iconic opera house, it is said by many of us folk here in Devizes and far, far beyond, that England’s national landmark is Brogan’s Cafe in Devizes. It may not have the global status of the above - but surely this will come, for it’s bacon rolls (and other food and beverage offerings) are right up there with the best. After the ravages of lockdown I made a beeline for this establishment . I could not, at home, replicate their amazing bacon rolls, thus missed them terribly. I adore my salty pork treat carefully placed between beautifully soft baps, so it was a huge relief to find that Brogans Bacon Rolls are as exquisite as ever, just as their coffee is. I’ll always love Brogans baps in whatever form, as they are perfectly sized for my hands and you don’t have all the contents spilling out on the first - or subsequent - mouthful. Brogans Cafe is my ‘global landmark’, my Statue of Liberty- defining as it does for me, the freedom to enjoy a high quality, fairly priced meal either indoors or the large outdoors area at the rear. It is a ‘bacon’ (I mean beacon) of fairly priced excellence and supreme quality. Great place for a breakfast, meal, quick bite or a just a coffee. It must be said that the menu caters for vegans too.

Visited with my parents and boyfriend on Tuesday morning for a late breakfast/brunch after spotting Brogan's online, and were so glad we visited.We ordered four different coffees/teas which were all piping hot and well made, three Brogan's breakfasts and one sandwich. The food came super quickly (roughly ten minutes after ordering) and everyone raved about their big breakfasts and the fab selection of Stokes sauces (which is made in Suffolk where we're from!) I had the sandwich which was really tasty and about £4 with a side salad which I thought was very reasonable. Great to see veggie/vegan options on the menu, too!We sat downstairs which was lovely and cosy with lots of books lining the walls and cushions on the bench seats - we felt really at home and it was the perfect spot for brunch - we still have a couple of days left of our holiday and it was SO good that we have plans to revisit :)

Fab service they all go above and beyond! Food is always tip top, great for families , great atmosphere , best in town.

Love Brogans! Friendly, relaxed atmosphere. There is a great choice of food from cakes to great breakfasts and light lunches. Firm family favourite place to eat as there's a good choice to suit everyone. And - the service is good and very quick. Highly recommended!

Brogans is a charming, cozy, quality café in the centre of town and offers reliable breakfasts with good quality ingredients from 8 daily. Friendly staff. Only improvement would be hot plates, then it would be perfect.

The review title says it all. We stopped in Devizes to find somewhere for a snack lunch and came across Brogan's. I had a BLT - granary bread and freshly cooked bacon - delicious. My wife had vegetable soup and warm bread - also very nice.

Great Sunday breakfast. Sausages are particularly good. Service was great and friendly. Love it! We'll certainly be back.

We use this venue to catch up as a group of friends for early breakfast at 08.00!It’s great that they are open at this time so we do not have to hang around.Great breakfast with quality produce, their sausage is particularly good. They do excellent fried bread which is our monthly treat!We will be back again in March for our next catch up.

A lovely setting with polite, friendly and attentive staff. Cappuccino was very nice and my wife's panini was delicious. The soup was also very nice although I would have liked it to come with more bread. Carrot cake was also very nice.

The coffee was not only burnt; it tasted like it was made with dirty dishwater. My first and only time trying Brogans.

Called in here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. We found a table downstairs where the decor is lovely and there's a nice little snug space too if there are a few of you. Lunch was lovely and amazingly fest service, really good food, fair price for it too. Would go there again.

Take my grandchildren there and always a warm welcome, they even get the highchair for you! There are crayons for toddlers with colouring sheets which are an instant hit and the food is served quickly and is jolly good!

Enjoyed the food, a good size portion and cooked well. However I find it lacks the calm atmosphere I like in a cafe. The tea is Tea Pigs (which personally I find a bit meh but depends on personal taste)

I meet here every 2 months with friends for a good catch up and have the treat of a cooked breakfast. We have tried many venues but this has to be the best for a lovely, well presented full English with the option to change any of the food items as required. The fried bread is superb and is our naughty treat but well worth the walk afterwards to stave off the calories!!

Me and my mum have visited twice with friends and have enjoyed both visits! The interior is laid out nicely and there is a wide selection of food available and many tempting tasty treats. Out the back are tables laid out and an ice cream bar! We thought it may be closed today as shutters were halfway down, but upon asking the friendly ladies at the tills inside they were more than happy to come and serve us some ice cream. Many tasty flavours such as white choc & raspberry, rocky road, bubblegum, butterscotch, lemon crunch etc. You can choose to have in tub if you prefer. One scoop is £2, two scoops £3 but one scoop is fairly generous.

Have been here twice for breakfast recently when visiting friends and both times thoroughly enjoyed it.

If you like creamy milk shakes then this is a place to go. Staff always make you feel welcome... Also have a good reasonable priced menu.

Visiting a friend in the area and after walking around a few local sites (Avebury Stones and the Long Barrow) it was time for a tasty late lunch.

Breakfast arrives quicky and isn't at all fatty and the sausage is tasty and a good quality. My only critism is that staff often clear the tables but do not automatically wipe them and you have to request them to do so, however they act quickly once a request has been made. We eat in this restaurant/cafe most Saturday mornings and the standard of food is consistently good, but at certain times can be very busy and difficult to find a seat. Service is polite

Popped into Brogans this morning for poached eggs on toasted brown bread with a sausage.

What a great choice of food in this town centre gem. Freshly cooked Brogans breakfast is unbeatable. Well worth a visit

I came here as I’d heard a great deal of positive comments over the last few years, and I’ve dined here a good few years ago when living in the area. I was in the area visiting my daughters and decided to venture here having had a positive experience some while ago. Was I disappointed, absolutely not. The staff were courteous, very accommodating and couldn’t do enough for us. The food again lives up to my expectations and the positive comments I’d heard. Local produce features heavily here, and coupled with a bright and quirky decor, the whole experience from start to finish was truly outstanding. The food was most definitely good value for money, and quite easily competes with their rivals, and actually rises head and shoulders above them all. A huge thank you for making our family eating experiences that bit special.

Nice atmosphere and really helpful staff. Good range of options on the menu but slightly tasteless baked potato (could have done with some butter or a more generous helping of beans). Would have given a higher rating if it had been a little cheaper - quite a high price for average fare.

Devizes is a wonderful old town to visit and right in the middle we discovered Brogans, an independent cafe with lots of character.. We sat downstairs. The service was very good and we enjoyed the food especially the panini and sandwiches which were all served quickly. Prices were reasonable. We would definitely come back - thank you!

i was disgusted to have found that my 9 year old cousin told me his drink tasted of metal, when i told him to open his mouth, his tongue was full of blended up foil from a rolo packet. when i addressed the staff, they apologised and made him another drink for free.

Visited for lunch. Sat downstairs (not good if you struggle with mobility) but I like the look of the place downstairs. We ordered fish finger sandwiches and were disappointed sadly. We were expecting fish goujons but got cheap fish fingers. The rest of the food was faultless. I would try it out again.

The staff are friendly, the service is quick, the food is wonderful and varied and really good portions! Childrens meals are good and they supply pictures and colouring pencils. In the summer there is an outside space for children to play

We had breakfast in Brogans, made very welcome by the staff. The food was excellent and hot and great value . It was full of local people and that’s always a good sign.

Went there for a lunch time. First impressions was not good, cramped seemed to be an understatement. The queue at the cashier to order food was only about 6 people long but you were bumping into others who were already seated waiting for their food to arrive, or trying to negotiate the other diners already leaving after their food.

Went here for Christmas Eve lunch. I had an amazing panini here. Absolutely delicious. Service was super quick and was on the cheaper side!

Went to BROGANS on the invite of the proprietor for a free breakfast as given by him for are custom in the past year so you can see the best place to a really fab one all serverd by lovely staff all food and plates hot and very tasty so if you are in town and want a fab breakfast and don't forget they also do a very good choice of other foods you won't be dissapointed

My family and I love Brogans. We go often, as the menu is great (very extensive), the food is always good, it's served very quickly and the prices are fair. That said, the staff are not particularly welcoming or warm and the lighting inside is nasty.

Went in after rememberance parade to warm up .... everyone had the same idea.

I enjoyed the family visit to this restaurant. Fairly expensive. But the quality of the food is there good.

Literally the only place anyone should be going in Devizes for Breakfast (or in fact for a goats cheese and veg panini too!)....a lovely vegi breakfast, delicious cappuccino and speedily delivered - Brogans NEVER EVER disappoint and staff are always so welcoming :)

This is a busy cafe but the service is very quick, the staff are friendly and the eggs are excellent.

I am VERY fussy about poached eggs and hollandaise - they have it nailed here. Eggs royale was amazing. Great coffee and friendly staff. 10/10 will def be back!
