Brockwell fish shop in Northumberland

Bought fish and chips there last night the fish had a weird taste there's no way that was Cod , they probably say it's Cod but it's something entirely different bloody awful won't be going back

I’m at a loss to comment upon the rudeness complaint below. I’ve used this shop hundreds of times and never had that experience; quite to the contrary actually. If I had to make a negative comments they would be: there should be separate staff for single customers when very multiple orders are being attended to as the waits can be excruciatingly long; occasionally the chips can be cold but that’s easily rectified.

Best chippy in Cramlington. Fish and chips Friday tea. Great fish and perfect portion size. Had to go to High Pit whilst Brockwell was closed, now that was awful. All the fish were an identical triangular shape, the batter was dark and greasy and everything looked and tasted as if cooked in very old oil.

Definitely gone down hill. £10.50 for mediocre fish and chips, the fish was poor too many chips smaller cheaper portions would be best all in all far too expensive won't be coming again.

Live local to the chip shop and every time I have ever been staff at the counter have been at most shocking and left me in disbelief in how rude they are

Tiny portion of chips in a burger box £2.50 I know prices are up but this makes a sack of potatoes look really expensive

Everything we have tried on their menu tastes first class. Always friendly and very pleasant staff. Cannot recommend highly enough.

This is our favourite fish shop in the area. The portions are generous & always freshly cooked to perfection. The staff offer a prompt service & are pleasant. It is very accessible by car, with ample parking nearby.

We often get a Fish, Chips & Mushy peas which is great value for the large portions that you get. It is always busy when open and the fish is always nice and fresh.

I always love getting a take away from here, as it is local & very clean inside. they have offers on and even when there is no offers on then it is still affordable and the food is great!!
