Came here with my mum for a special Birthday meal. The staff were absolutely fabulous - friendly, attentive, caring and knowledgable. They made my Mum feel special, which was lovely. We are from the lunch menu which was divine. Already booked to return in December. Thank you to all.

An outstanding service and even more exceptional food. The presentation, variety of flavors, and peaceful atmosphere made for a truly wonderful experience.

This a beautifully set restaurant sitting on the Brocket Estate alongside the River Lea. The house internally shows signs of its age and the decor is in need of an upgrade. It conveys the feeling of a top end Mayfair spot, but is let down by the slow service and delivery of food. It's perfectly poncy and is great for a 'special occasion'. It is however definitely one of those where your wallet is very comfortable £150 per head lighter and you'll need to pick up a kebab on the way home :). Where it wins is outside seating on a summer's afternoon.

Brocket Hall is a beautiful place, we arrived early and walked around The grounds, we then took drinks on the Terrace. We were treated to free canapés and had a fantastic meal from the A La Carte menu, but could also have chosen a 7 course taster menu. The service was impeccable and I would advise you to have the raspberry souffle which was unbelievable. We were also treated to free petit fours. Auberge Du Lac is as good as you can hope for at around £100 per head for 3 courses and a drink. Go on treat yourself. Chris & Jan

We had our wedding here in June. It was an intimate day with 23 people, just immediate family. We chose to make it small so that it felt very special to the most important people in our lives. Auberge didn’t disappoint. The food, the service, the attention to detail, and above all the attitude of the team was second to none. They couldn’t do enough for us. Every detail was thought of. Everything we asked, no matter how fussy, was taken care of without so much as a pause for thought. Can’t thank them enough.

This was a disappointing experience! We had a large family meal following a wedding, firstly we did arrive early but just went through to the terrace with the beautiful view of the lake and golf course. But no one came out for drinks and there was mess from the night before. I eventually had to ask for drinks. Our meal was great, the flavors were wonderful, the young ladies serving were also great but the food was coming out at different times rather than serving a table at a time (the bride and groom first) the veg came out last as did the chips and most of us had finished due to how slow it was! My son’s breaded chicken was also raw! It was only when he had eaten some i spotted this, and made him spit it out! We told the waitress who did apologise but nothing from management! Really not acceptable for a place like this! We had to ask for the wedding cake! We would have expected this to be out on the table they had laid up?! I could go on… it was just very disjointed and no management of what was happening to make the day smooth! Very disappointing and I felt bad for my Dad and his new wife who had spent a lot of money on this!

A wonderful place. Excellent food. The service is truly outstanding. Bilal was excellent…could not have asked for better service…superb! Soufflé was excellent..very talented chef! Beautiful views as well.

I've driven past Brocket Hall hundreds of times over the years and always thought it would be nice to go there for a meal on a special occassion. This year I decided to surprise my wife and take her there for her birthday.

Wonderful location, excellent service and super food for a Sunday birthday lunch. Special mention must be made of the waiter Nelson who was very professional, knowledgeable and chose a super red wine. It happened to be Portuguese, which was where he was from so I think his first-hand knowledge was put to very good use.

Cannot fault this place for Sunday lunch quality of the food and service are outstanding 39:00 pounds for 3 courses can't go wrong.

Faultlessly executed imaginative dishes, we were in heaven with every mouthful. Professional and attention service with personality. The offering here cannot be improved, and the skill in the kitchen is outstanding. We wanted to give the chef a hug, we were so full and happy. The only thing I’d change is the interior design - it’s a beautiful location and a lovely old building but too corporate/vanilla in its decoration - inject some personality to match the food.

We celebrated a 70th birthday of one of we four and the service, attention to detail and the lunch was perfect. We all chose from the table d’hote which couldn’t be bettered in, as always, the most delightful setting.

We booked a Saturday lunch for 8 adults and 2 babies. In consideration for other guests I asked to have a private dining room. It was confirmed and I received a confirmation by email and the set lunch menu to choose from (£65 per person)

So I wanted to go somewhere a little bit special to celebrate my birthday and that of some others in the family. Unfortunately, circumstances meant that it had to be a Sunday, precluding some of my other favoured options (such a Frederick's in Islington). A friend suggested Auberge du Lac and it looked very nice on the website, "a bit posh" as she said.

We visited for Sunday lunch and were not disappointed. Yet again sumptuous food a great wine selection with friendly and attentive service. This is our third visit in the past year and the quality has been consistently excellent. Highly recommended.

Had a beautiful lunch here today to celebrate a Birthday. Food was delicious and service outstanding, great attention to detail. First visit but will definitely come again!

Had a wonderful lunch here today. Every course was perfect, and lovely extra touches like amuse bouche and petit fours. Service was fantastic, really couldn't fault anything.

My husband and I visited Auberge for lunch today and it was superb. We have been coming here for years and today we had one of the best meals that we can remember having here. Admittedly it did go downhill a while back but the new head chef seems to have really turned things around. The food is fabulous, the setting gorgeous, staff lovely and there isn't anything not to be wowed by. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

My wife and I have been on a number of occasions and the food just gets better and better.

Returned to Auberge after many years and found it as good as I did the first time round. Great food, attentive staff. Enjoyed pre-lunch drinks on the terrace overlooking the lake on a beautiful sunny day. Even managed to spot the resident Kingfisher. It was such a beautiful day that we returned to the terrace after lunch were we probably overstayed our welcome... We left as the evening guests started to arrive. We will return very soon.

Everything about the evening was special - from the setting, to the dining room, the service and the food. It’s refreshing to see a restaurant where the tables aren't crammed in cheek to jowl to maximise profits. It made for a beautiful relaxed dining room with superb views over the grounds and lake. Similarly the service was a well judged balance of relaxed informality with utterly correct service.

We decided not to have the fixed price menu because the choice was somewhat limited for a 5 star restaurant and this turned out to be a mistake as our final bill for lunch for four persons was almost £400.

I have always been impressed by Auberge and today’s family celebration lunch was no exception. The location is beautiful - by a lake, with beautiful gardens surrounding the venue.

Four ladies for lunch wanting the fixed price menu. The choice was just three items at each course and unfortunately for one of our party hadn't changed since the week previously. But it was all delicious and delightfully served by lovely staff. The portions don't look very big but my large appetite was well satisfied. The quality of the cooking was very good, and I loved the little extra amuse bouche and petit fours. We'll undoubtedly return to this beautiful restaurant in such a fabulous setting.

Certainly a 5 star experience at a 5 star restaurant. From the stunning lakeside location and the fabulous food to the amazing wait staff who went above and beyond. I couldn’t have ask for a more memorable and wonderful way to spend my 21st birthday. I would like to thank Matt and his team at the Auberge du Lac for serving my mum and I with delicious food, (in particular I loved the blow torch smoked eel, the confit duck leg ballotine and the key lime pie) and the lovely service we received. I would absolutely recommend dining there 10/10.

A great lunch this time the food was excellent and the staff very attentive we will definitely be going back . A big thank you to Renate and Mr Longshaw for a very enjoyable luncheon and the chef who got it right this time.

What an amazing lunch in a wondering location, arrive early to have a drink outside if the weather permits or inside the cosy drawing room.

This was planned as a special birthday treat, and fully lived up to expectations. The tasting menu was well-paced, varied, and full of interesting flavours, all delivered by friendly staff, efficient and knowledgeable, but with time to chat and make sure everything was as it should be. With the stately Brocket Hall gazing down across the lake, this really was something special.

Thank you to the Chefs and staff for making our 2nd Wedding Annivsary a very special one. I was concerned that being a Vegan and Gluten Intollerant would mean a boring Salad but I was very pleasantly surprised by the array or flavours complimenting each in each dish. The staff were very attentive and the views of the lake and grounds were beautiful. I won't be waiting till my next anniversary to come back.

Visited this place last night for me birthday. We had the tasting menu which was exceptional. The service from the staff was very attentive but not intrusive. I have been to a few Michelin places in London and this definitely meets at least 1 star in my opinion.

Had a friday lunch here. Everything was superb – Georgeous grounds (recommend a pre dinner drink soaking up the view), superb service (effortlessly attentive, friendly), stunning food (beautifully presented, delicious), ambience (elegant)... The best restaurant in Hertfordshire. Can’t wait to return.

We had a very enjoyable time at the Auberge. The setting is superb, right by the lake. The food is very good. We had the tasting menu which was well balanced and tasty with matching wines which largely worked very well; one wasn't quite as successful but that's fine, it was a nice wine in its own right. The service was friendly, occasionally not spot on, but again that was amusing. The staff cared and really wanted to make our experience very good and that's always welcome. We look forward to returning.

After being lucky enough to win a competition recently, today we had Sunday lunch at Auberge du Lac

Taken here for lunch. There is a three course menu for £24!! Wonderful pea veloute soup, great mackerel and the tapioca pudding was far better than we had at school! A real joy. As ever, staff superb.

Myself and 8 other colleagues dined here one Thursday evening after a meeting in Brocket Hall.

We dined at Auberge du Lac last night. We had drinks on the terrace which is a beautiful location over looking the lake. The food was nice but really let down by my main course of Halibut being uncooked. The fish was still opaque and raw! It was really disappointing and ruined the meal. I had to send the fish back, there was no apology, the staff were not at all concerned by this. They bought another dish out 10 mins later by which time my husband had finished his food and I had to rush mine, it wasn't the nice relaxed chatting over food that we would usually have. I understand that mistakes happen but I go to award winning restaurants for the standards. I can get the fish wrong myself at home, I dont expect it when paying £30 for a very small piece of Halibut. When the new dish came out, it had been replaced with the worlds smallest filet of Halibut which I assume was because the chef was disgruntled by my returning a dish. All in all the incident ruined the evening and we wont be returning, there are far better places with higher standards.

Ok so I have to admit I am a little biased regarding the title. I hope everyone has the most wonderful experience at their wedding and it was most certainly the case for ours at Auberge du Lac, Brocket Hall on 7th July 2018. We were late planners regarding the wedding, when my partner proposed to me after being together for 25 years in February.

Excellent staff made us very welcome on arrival lovely drinks by the lake before the meal, tables are nicely spaced and the atmosphere was very relaxed. Highly professional staff and fantastic food. Can’t fault anything about our visit will be back as soon as we can.

We are a family of 4 (our children are 21 and 16) and we went for a weekday evening meal. There were 2 groups of 4 and 2 or 3 couples and our family received attentive, caring service at all times, the food from the table d'hôte menu was presented beautifully and everything we ate was delicious. We arrived at 7pm, half an hour before our booking because we wanted to sit on the veranda and have a pre-dinner drink; which we were pleased we did. The weather was warm and sunny, the calmness of the views around Brocket Hall's ground quite lovely; very peaceful. Our dining table was by the window overlooking the lake and grounds which was just right for us. A most pleasant, relaxing and enjoyable occasion.

I received an email from Auberge du Lac offering lunch at £24.50. As we had good memories of a dinner we had there years ago we decided to accept and booked a table for lunch on Friday.

A fantastic day with family and friends in this wonderful location, 5 star service and food in a picturesque setting. Special praise to the lovely Molly Tello, wedding coordinator, who could not have done a more perfect job; Nelson, Maitre D, whose attention to detail and precision was second to none and the sublime dishes prepared by Chef Matt Edmunds which took our breath away. If you are planning a special occasion this is the perfect place. Thank you for a great day!

Went to this beautiful restaurant, overlooking the lake, whilst attending some dear friends wedding. Stunning location, and the quality of service, food and drink was amazing! We had a nine course tasting menu served over about three hours, the flavours of the food and the presentation of each course was truly magnificent! Each course was paired with wine, and again the choices were excellent!

Have not been back for sometime as it seemed to loose it way. Now with the new head chef formally of The Gerkins restaurant in London it is back on track and better than ever.

A friend and I went to Auberge du Lac as a special treat midweek. We chose to sit at a table on the terrace, which had a beautiful view overlooking the lake.

After eating at this restaurant for more years than I care to remember and after my last visit and review a year ago I decided never to go to this restaurant again. But today I decided to give it another try and have just returned from a delicious lunch served by efficient and friendly staff.

Was treated to a birthday meal here by our daughters. A very fine restaurant with food and service second to none. This is a truly classic and classy restaurant that caters to your every need. Cannot be faulted. Pure excellence.

having booked a lunch yesterday and emailing them several times that one of us has no meat or fish or nuts we were assured by the manager that it was not a problem that the chef would cook what I could eat, on arrival we went to the outside terrace had a drink and the menu came the starter could have been the asparagus the main course was only artichoke nothing else I am not keen on them so I asked the head waiter he said only broccoli or salad is what they serve for vegetarians I gave him a message for the chef that I was not happy 10 mins later we decided to leave the chef was stood in the hallway with the waiter when I spoke to him he said that I could have a plate of veg for my main meal or beetroot do chefs not know how to present vegetarian food or cook it?? we decided to leave as we were walking up the stairs he sarcastically said have a nice day madam after spoiling ours how rude was he I have made a complaint and am awaiting a reply I do not recommend this restaurant and would not spend my money in a place that has no idea on how to cook food off the menu

Last ate here in October 2010 to celebrate our wedding anniversary (the number doesn't matter as they are all important) whilst still at work – after good recent reports we decided to return for a Saturday lunch in June....

I booked a table for my mother’s birthday around a week ago, I had a call late afternoon yesterday to confirm the booking. We arrived last night to 2 slightly confused front of house, after asking whether we'd like to sit and have a drink or be sat at our table, we said we'd be happy to drink at the table... so they took us to the drinks room! After explaining again that we’ll go straight to our table, we were walked down to the restaurant, we gave our name to the 2 ladies who shuffled papers for a while before saying "no, you've booked a table of 2"

Had a beautiful dinner with family for my daughter’s birthday. The food from the limited Table d’Hote menu was universally excellent. But it’s the added little touches which really make a difference. Amuse Bouche, superb butter with the bread and each member of the waiting staff wishing my daughter a happy birthday at different times.

The food is exceptional, Michelin standard in my view, the service very good, and the view exceptional. Flavours, texture, and presentation all so good.

Unfortunately the weather did not do this idyllic setting justice on our visit to Auberge, but it didn’t effect the food or service that’s for sure!

This was our first visit( for lunch) as we were staying with a dear friend in nearby St Albans. You could not wish for a more grandiose location and view. After drinks and canapes in the bar/lounge we were led downstairs to a dining room. I am not sure if their is a lift for those unable to negotiate the stairs.

We are dining here for the second time this week.

Superb location overlooking a river. Greatly delayed waiting for our first drink, had to ask for a table outside in the beautiful sunshine after sitting in a waiting area for some time - when drinks finally arrived the nibbles were delicious but no lime/lemon with the G&T;!

We were celebrating our engagement, and the restaurant was perfect for the occasion. After a drink and amuses-bouche in the cosy lounge, we were seated at the window, with a wonderful view of the lake and the grounds.

We had dinner here last night for my birthday. I had been interseted in going here for a while and never got round to it before. I have to say that we had a thoroughly enjoybale night. The staff were very friendly and the table service excellent. We ate off the A La Carte menu and the food was excellent. I have been to many Michelin starred restaurants and I actually thought the food here was as good as many I have eaten at. The crab and foie gras starters were both delicious. We wanted to try another starter to share as an interim course and they kindly served it in two seperate portions for us. For the main course we had the beef rump and venison and again both were fabulous (the venison is the best I have had yet). We will definately dine here again!

Went for dinner on 7 April - 4 of us, including two grown up daughters. We were looked after wonderfully by staff who were polite and friendly. The food was superb with an excellent choice of main course to include venison, belly pork and Galloway beef as well as fish and veggie options. It was a relaxed evening in lovely surroundings. Perfect for my ‘big’ birthday. Hope I don’t have to wait 10 years to visit again.

We have eaten here many times before but today the lunch was superb. Lovely canapés with our aperitifs, 3 very good courses (duck ballontine, sea bream, dauphinois potatoes all with equisite vegetables & dressings, apple tatin. We also had delicious petit fours with our coffees all taken in delightful surroundings.

Great dinner for my wife’s birthday. Food always good here. Staff welcoming. Really getting back to it’s old glory.

This is a must go, eaten in some of the best restaurants in London and this went above and beyond! We will be back! Thank you to the amazing waiters and chef for an exquisite meal and unique experience.

I have been a regular customer of Auberge over the years and have seen a few chefs come and go, My wife and I had a lovely meal last Saturday and I felt the cooking was as good as it's ever been, Michelin star or not. Crab starter and suckling pig main were excellent, as were nibbles and amuse-bouche. Desserts were not quite on the same level but still enjoyable. My only carp would be the extortionate wine list - I struggled to find much below £100 per bottle. I have to say though that the Morgon worked well with the pork and was relatively affordable.

The last time we dinned at Auberge was 10 years ago and the food and service were good. Matt and his team have taken the restaurant to a different level. The food is out of this world and the service second to none. I couldn't fault any of the dishes on the tasting menu and it was a true gourmet experience.

Our First visit to Auberge du lac. What a beautiful quaint setting. We tried the 5 course tasting menu - absolutely delicious! My favourite course was the venison. Will we go back- absolutely!

Everything about our stay for the Auberge du lac experience was amazing and all the staff were so friendly and hepful. I have severe food allergies and the restaurant could not have been more helpful - I felt totally confident eating there and the taster menu was just amazing. Our room in Melbourne Lodge was lovely and the breakfast in the club house also lovely. A truly wonderful experience.

This is a very beautiful setting, and has amazing menyu and impeccable service. High End fine dining and wine choice, excellent staff and customer service.

The good bit... food delicious and downstairs staff attentive. But all spoilt sadly due to the front of house lady on duty this afternoon. She was busy as I entered so I made the decision to settle in the lounge where I knew she’d find me. Oh dear she didn’t like that, she raised her voice from the desk for my name then she chased me into the lounge and told me I couldn’t sit in an area for 5 and moved me. When other guests left the lounge I raised the uncomfortable situation with her. She didn’t want to listen, spoke above me. Also suggested we called other guests as witnesses Manager was present and twice told her to hush. He then said the restaurant was his home and he wouldn’t walk straight into my home and therefore it wasn’t customary for me to walk into the au verge du lac and settle my self in if my own accord. So beware if entertaining there maybe an awkward and embarrassing start to you meal.

Totally amazing. Arrived by helicopter. Then taken by buggy to the front door. Had the 8 course tasting menu. The staff were lovely. Even the chef came out and spoke to us at the end.

Some different takes on great food, all were very well balanced and couldn’t speak highly enough of the waiting staff. From start to finish it was a wonderful meal.

I would like to thank the wonderful team at Auberge du Lac for a very spedial birthday experience. The service is perfect; unobtrusive but attentive. From the smell of the fire in the cosy lounge, to the beautiful lakeside setting in the dining room, the ambiance is glamorous yet relaxed. The food is divine. As we were leaving, after a gloriously decadent two and a half hours, we were lucky enough to meet the chef, Mathew Edmunds, who is a delightful guy, as well as a superb chef. We were able to tell him how much we loved his food and he even shared some of his secrets with us! This is our third visit since he took to the helm, and we will definitely be back for more.

Fantastic food served in a warm friendly atmosphere. We all chose from the A La Carte Menu and were not disappointed by our choices. The wine selections offered at each course were terrific. Would recommend to anyone looking for something that "little bit special".

First time here and what a lovely experience from the minute you walk in. You feel like you’re walking into someone’s living room, which is cosy and quaint.

We were a family of seven who enjoyed a very good evening with good service and well cooked food.

Four of us booked Auberge, and I am pleased to say that the new chef is starting to re establish this place, the food overall was excellent, from the arrival, service, sharp, attentive, paced well, good wine selection, and good value for money.

We had the 8 course tasting menu with wine. An ok meal, nothing special, although all the wines were superb. Service was good. Overall I felt that we paid a lot of money for an unexceptional evening

Unfortunately for the price disappointing the whole experience for a high end restaurant is wrong. The food was acceptable but to be told there is no customer variation to the menu for example alternative vegetables or extra potatoes is unacceptable, you basically get what the chef decides you’ll like all very arrogant and pretentious.

The staff at the Auberge made our trip absolutely perfect, especially Pedro the restaurant manager. So helpful and accommodating. The food was amazing, as was the paired wine. A thoroughly enjoyable evening :-)

My wife and I had a wonderful lunch. The experience started with the gates opening for us (they were beautifully decorated with Christmas wreaths), a stately arrival via the long drive, and someone to meet us at the door. As we entered, there was a lovely mixed aroma of food and woodsmoke from the open fire. The staff were very attentive, without being intrusive, and the food was as good as any I’ve eaten in Michelin-starred restaurants.

Entry to estate is via controlled gated intercom. Lovely surroundings. Restaurant is within a lovely house, former hunting lodge. Food is very fine dining, very nouvelle cuisine so be prepared. Set menu is probably best option. Calm relaxing atmosphere with very friendly and attentive staff. Nice as a one off experience but not sure there is anything so special to make us want to return!

First visit. Wow .chef is at the top off his game.but the AA.have got it totally incorrect. With the rating.we had a great night.8 course tasting menu total bliss. Wine was a bit wobbly to start then we got a bottle that fitted our taste.service was good .thanks to restaurant manager very much out side the box.thank you.

We had a very pleasant lunch using the fixed menu which seemed to offer good value for money. The service was very efficient, food quite unusual. Very exclusive (and expensive) wine menu.

We decided to celebrate my 70th Birthday with the Family including our 2 year old Granddaughter and from the moment we arrived we were truly well looked after in the Living Room where drinks were served. After a little while we proceeded to the Restaurant overlooking the Lake, Brocket Hall and the Golf Club on a beautiful sunny day. The Restaurant has a great Sunday Set Menu at £39.00 with four Choices for each course and great value. I decided on the Soup, absolutly superb and my wife selected the Mackeral which look equally tasty and my son and daughter-in-Law selected the Chicken Pate this was followed by the traditional Roast Beef, Yorkshire Pudding which was excellent and my wife selected the Pork which was i am assured superb. Desert followed which was wonderful. The accompanying wine was perfect and the Service outstanding. Even our Granddaughter enjoyed the experience with a short interlude between courses for a walk on the Terrace overlooking the Lake. For a Special occasion or a Meal this is truly a great place to enjoy the Cuisine and Ambiance

Cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough, we had a fabulous Sunday lunch here. The food was fantastic and very tasty with excellent attention to detail and immaculate presentation. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The surroundings and view from the table was absolutely stunning. This was our first time but will definitely won't be our last!

We visited for lunch on a Saturday last month which we really enjoyed so thought we would try the Sunday lunch on 22 October. We were not disappointed. Yet again sumptuous food with excellent friendly and attentive service. Highly recommended.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was was wonderful and the staff all incredibly helpful and friendly. The meal itself was wonderful. I had two starters; the coffee glazed pork cheek and the crab. They were both delicious and would highly recommend the pork. My partner had the salmon for start and the cod for the main. The salmon starter he had was gone before I could blink he enjoyed it that much! Overall it was a wonderful experience and was well worth it.

We dined at Auberge du Lac for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The staff were delightful and the food and service first class. It is fine dining with prices to match but the menu was interesting and the evenings special dishes very good indeed.

This is a restaurant with aspirations to being a top restaurant but falls short in almost every way possible. When we entered the decor looked drab and somewhat worn but that cannot excuse not vacuuming the carpet. The view was not visible because the lights were not working. The place was quite empty but we were still sat uncomfortably close to the neighbouring table, and nobody arrived to take the tables that seemed more appropriate. We had the tasting menu which was very repetitive with textures and ingredients and really short of food. I wanted to stop at a Golden Arches steakhouse drive through establishment on the way home (I was not allowed) but my wife went straight to the fridge when we got home. The service was flawed in many ways. They wanted to rush us through courses and we, and our uncomfortably close neighbours, asked them several times to slow down. They did not speak English clearly, we asked them to repeat themselves as often as we thought polite and gave up most times. There was an insincerity about the service, when I asked why they poured cold beer into a warm rather than chilled glass the guy started arguing before saying good idea. I made the same comment once at my local Prezzo and when I went back 2 weeks later I got a chilled glass. Auberge du Lac have a long way to go but the can start by trying to catch Prezzo in attitude

I had a lunch with my husband. The food is very good and the surroundings is amazing where you can see the main hall and nice view of the lake.

Firstly important to say we've been a few times here for both lunch and dinner.

We tried this for lunch on a lovely sunny day and did not want to leave! The restaurant is in the middle of a lovely Brocket Hall estate surrounded by golf course and a lake. You can sit on a terrace and enjoy a drink before or after your meal. So peaceful and stunning!

Called twice took 2 days for the restaurant to call back to make a reservation. Asked for a table of 8 and was told the restaurant had a reservation for 8 on the same day so we’d have to book the private room for another £300. When replied I wouldn’t want to do that I was asked if I could become a party of 7 not 8. Should we draw lots for this haha. Very disappointing and somewhat illogical service. Shame we were looking forward to a good experience.

I went with the 8 course tasting menu, it was truly amazing with a wide selection of fantastic dishes. The location is spectacular and the staff looked after us and made us feel special from start to finish. I highly recommend this restaurant and will most certainly be returning in the near future.

Every part of dining at this very special restaurant was sheer perfection. We chose the tasting menu, and were presented with some of the best food we've had in ANY restaurant, anywhere!. The service, as you'd expect, is simply second to none; particularly in relation to knowledge of the food providence. The Management and staff went out on a limb to ensure we had a perfect anniversary experience.

As I was driving I did not have the various wines but had an excellent St Emilion with one of the courses. Service was attentive and added to the occasion with the right mix of joviality and expertise. Thoroughly enjoyable

One of my top three restaurants in the UK. Great views, delicious food supported by excellent service. Always a pleasurable experience.!
