Lovely atmosphere,friendly staff, have visited with my granddaughter today, have had a really lovely meal, and pudding, with a drink. Staff asked us if everything was ok, looked after us well. Really enjoyed the experience, thank you so much.

Lovely carvery lots of choice..helpful staff...definitely worth going. Book in advance as they get busy in the early evening. You can even take your carvery away.

The staff have been very generous and helpful, consistently! The carvery at this establishment wasn’t too bad to be fair, plenty of choice unfortunately the Beef was just very tough. The pub itself however is disgusting. Sticky carpets, torn seats, extremely worn/dirty decor, damaged woodwork and fabric seats that no longer resemble their former patterns instead taking on a shiny grime. Staff were polite enough and seem to keep very busy. Obviously just let down by the brewery by not up-keeping the property. Wouldn’t recommend because of this.

Carvery 1st class good thick cuts of meats could taste every vegtables great Staff and service highly recommended 10/10 fantastic value for money lovery venue and good atmosphere.

I go back to this carvery again and again and again, staff and food faultless. It is always busy but the staff are so friendly and carvery is the best anywhere, so yes I will be back, five stars all round

The cavery & the staff were unreal! The cavery was unreal, such lovely flavours and perfectly cooked food! The staff were so friendly and welcoming! Will definitely visit again !

We ordered the small carvery priced at £6.79 and had a very ample, tasty meal, which was nicely cooked and hot. The Yorkshire puddings were nicely light and crispy. Our only quibble would be that when we arrived at 12.30, only about 3 tables were ‘Unreserved’ and it caused us to sit in a less nice part of the lounge between 2 TV sets. Otherwise, it was a very enjoyable, well-priced meal.

We like the Broadway so this evening we thought we would go and have a carvery meal. It is usually very good. When we arrived we were asked if we had booked which we hadn't and we have never been asked that before. We were then told that they had run out of carvery meats so we returned home as we didn't particularly fancy anything from the other menu. Very Disappointing - the young woman concerned didn't even ask if we would like to choose something else. Very poor customer service and not welcoming. As we were leaving five other people were turned away.

I’ve rang this place over 40 times! No answer! On a Monday! I’ve requested a refund over 8 days ago for a table of 10 which got agreed to by the manager as it was wrong and still yet to receive it! I’ve tried to call and no one will answer the phone !

Lovely carvery and kids love the kids meals, my 3 year old called is “delicious”. The beef dripping roast potatoes and parsnips were especially nice. Staff are really friendly and helpful.

6 of us visited for a midweek early evening carvery, something we have done many times before. However I doubt we will go again - most of the veg was rock hard - couldn’t slice the carrots, yet the parsnips were burnt to a crisp. We did ask the server/carver if there were anymore parsnips available and were shown another batch exactly the same and told “the food is cooked first thing in a morning - this is how the person cooked them all”. Very off putting.

We have been going to the Broadway for a while now and have usually been very happy with the carvery. We went this evening and at first the carvery looked alright. When I took mine to the table I realised that the plate was barely warm. I then discovered that most of the vegetables were cold and some of them not cooked very well. Quite a while later a staff member asked if the meal was ok. When I told her it was cold she did offer to change it but by that time my husband had almost finished his meal so I didn't take up the offer. They were very busy but that shouldn't make a difference to the quality. Before we left we had a coffee and that was very good. Overall though a disappointing meal.

I have visited the Broadway many times with family and friends. If it is busy you may need to book a table. We went during the day and found a table. We then ordered out carvery from the bar. Like most carvery’s you say what meat you would like. You pay extra for pigs in blankets. After getting your meat you help yourself. The food has always been amazing. If carvery isn’t your thing (like my daughter) you can order from a menu. I will be back again soon as we visit a few times each year.

this venue is the absolute best great carvery friendly staff and making new friends nothing is to much trouble today 11th Feb 2024 me Nikki accidentally left my insulin pen in the ladies toilets as eddy and jean and myself go every Sunday for Sunday lunch somehow my pen fell out of my bag and we left without realizing the pen was left in the toilets, not realizing till later that evening we came back to the venue and were happily told someone handed it in and they had held onto it at the Broadway, i am so grateful and thankful especially for the person who handed it in and the staff for keeping it safe for me thank you all hugs Nikki Eddy Jean

The wife and I popped in on off-chance that there would be a table going. On reaching the desk at entrance two staff where having a disagreement. The ones comment was "You can either have me on bar or on door" It was quite obvious from the tone of voice she was annoyed. When we asked if there was a table spare she couldn't even give us a waiting time in fact her comment was it could be within 30mins or over an hour ,even though it was plain to see there where numerous tables empty and not many queuing for food .It was nowhere near as busy on previous occasions when we've got at last minute. Definitely won't be going back which is a pitty as we regularly went on numerous occasions throughout the year Xmas included.Its there loss due to stroppy staff !

Great value for money, food was excellent. Nice to find somewhere that is reasonably priced and food is good quality. Staff were really nice and helpful. I will definitely be back.

Amazingly, friendly staff. Doreen says she enjoyed the meal. June said it has been a very long time she did not enjoyed such a steak . I’ve never had a steak like this. Phil says it was a good meal. Fred says super quality, but I trust is exaggerating there. Thanks for the television, Val appreciate that the wolf won. Now English beer remains English beer week. Custard specially made for me.

The food was exceptional and service was quick and efficient the pub was nice and clean and a great variety of food on the carvery

Firstly, can I just say a massive thank you to the staff member who retrieved my handbag and safely returned it to me! Bren is an excellent manager and clearly runs a trustworthy team! We always have a great time whenever we visit and the kids love their chicken strips 👌 excellent family pub and wacky warehouse. Would highly recommend!

We are regular customers at this lovely pub and usually have the carvery. Went for lunch today about 12.00pm..The meat was lovely and as normal plenty of veg but this time the veg was quite hard. I like my veg firm but the broccoli, sprouts and roast potatoes were hard not the standard we have come to love. We had to leave the veg I'm sure when we go again it will be a better experience !

The beef was awful you couldn't cut it with knife and couldn't chew it. The yorkie was so hard it was like a brick. Not good food today.

Lovely meal with a large group of friends. Sarah who served us was run off her feet but was so friendly and cheerful and apologised for our wait on desserts 🍨 The carvery was definitely value for money!

You have to book the wacky wharehouse when it’s busy, they managed to get us a table and a shelf to sit on, so if you going prebook. Meal- I had booked the Xmas menu but I had not been able to prebook the festive menu- this caused confusion. It cost me £2.99 for chips on the child’s meal when they had misunderstood what I had ordered- best make sure when u order the person taking the order understands what you are saying. Child’s pudding was massive- large Ice cream and a good size of brownie. I will be back again as it’s convenient but that’s the only reason. Looking forward to when I don’t have to do soft plays.

Was served by many amazing waitresses but Jackie and Jan stood out today, made our visit pleasant and enjoyable with there friendly company! Food was piping hot and fresh, would defiantly recommend as we felt safe and comfortable our whole visit!

We went yesterday and were very impressed with how this restaurant is dealing with the covid restrictions. We had a lovely meal at a very reasonable price due to an offer.

Visited The wacky today with my little one and a friend. First time back since it’s reopened and we cannot praise it enough! So easy to book and much better not being ram packed Inside. The staff were helpful and lovely and the place just seemed all the better for the new rules in place. Kids were so glad to be able to have a run around...hope it stays open! Well done.

We visited on a Sunday afternoon with friends, we both had the carvery bap which are great value at £5.79. There was decent social distancing in place with a one way system and plenty of hand sanitiser.

Went for a family meal. Food was ok although u could tell it had been sat under a hologram light for a period of time. The cheese was burnt to the plate rather than loose.Waited for 15-20 mins after started for plates to be collected and mains to arriveStaff are polite and certainly earn there money. Carvery as gone done hill from when it reopened after Covid.Would go again but other places out there that are slightly better and organised

It was the 1st time I have visited The Broadway and I will definitely be going again. I've been advised that The Sunday Carvery is excellen, so as we visited on a Wednesday evening, I'll go on Sunday next time. It's my Daughter in Laws birthday on 30th August, so it would be a lovely treat for her. The pub was very very clean and the tables were cleaned as soon as customers vacated them. We were greeted with a very warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble for whatever you asked for. Our food was perfectly cooked and piping hot. The Scampi was amazing It was very very busy due to the 'Eat Out to Help Out' being on, but we didn't have to wait long for our food. All the waitress staff and bar staff and everyone behind the scenes work so hard and pull together as a team. Keep up the fantastic work. I've told lots of my friends about our experience and they will surely be popping in soon. Brilliant Thank you so much. Debs xx

Not been in for about ten years. Me and a friend visited for a meal and I was very impressed the way the place has been turned round,we both had a carvery which was very nice and filling the staff were very friendly and helpful the only downside of our visit was my friend runs a small business and needed to to check her email and neither of us get a phone signal and the wifi was not working otherwise it was a very nice afternoon.

My friend & I decided to try the Broadway Pub for our first meal out together since before lockdown- you can book online or by phone & its pretty simple on the Greene King App too - greeted at the door & asked where we wished to be seated, so we chose the bar which is clean & cosy - we were given choice of table service or on the app - so table service this time - our waitress name of Jan was wonderful so pleasant & helpful but explaining the one way system marked out by stickers on the floor - once we had ordered we waited about 10mins to get our carvery which is limited to a couple of customers at one time - you don’t help yourself as before the staff put it on your plate which was fine - we both enjoyed the meal very reasonably priced- we also had a glass of Chardonnay & a small dessert of fruit & ice cream follows by a coffee with Baileys - very pleased with the food & the service was excellent- everyone was cheery & so helpful - you do leave by an alternative door to the entrance - definitely visit again & yes great to be back & enjoying a meal out thanks to all at the Broadway:)

I love this local place, it's a great place to enjoy a beer and I recommend trying their carvey but they also have other options for food.

Visited regularly for a carvery during midweek , we have found it to be of a good standard and good value for money. Pub is always busy when we have visited which says a lot . Good selection of ales at the bar also and staff we have found to be very friendly

After a trip to Mosley Old Hall I took the kids to the local pub for food and a trip the WW. It was busy as you’d expect on a weekend, after allotted time was up I took my daughter to the bathroom and the toilets were need of cleaning, there was no soap and the fitted soap dispenser was left open. I advised a staff member upon exiting the bathroom; they said there was no soap because the dispenser kept falling open and it was for health and safety. A child copped on the head from a faulty soap dispenser I get, not providing any other means for washing hands is beyond me. I asked why they couldn’t provide a bottle of hand soap and was met with a death stare. Not the best customer service I’ve received, certainly not the worst.

Visited this place after some friends had recommended the Sunday Carvery to us. We came at 12 and the car park was almost full, found a nice table and had a few pre drinks before we queued for the carvery I opted for the large carvery the carver piled on the beef and turkey I'd requested so much meat unbelievable! The veg, mash, roasters was to die for cooked perfectly honestly possibly the best carvery I've had in a very long time (no more mr Toby sorry) the place runs effortlessly the staff are brilliant at what they do as soon as diners had finished the tables were cleaned, I can understand now why the place gets so busy the food is amazing definitely worth a visit, my advice is get here early to get a tableI will most certainly be visiting again in the near future keep up the good work thanks see you all very soon

Was going to have Carvery but the choice of veg was very poor. Sprouts, broccoli and sweet corn which I dont eat. No peas no cabbage no green beans so decided to have another choice of meal which was ok. Wouldnt go there for a Carvery. Other meals were ok.

Family of 4 )including two teenagers) three course meals for all including a car very with all the trimmings- and a drinks package all for £200 Can’t fault it good pub, good food , table ours for 4hours staff pleasant and food plentiful We will return this year for 3rd year in a row!!Great deal

Had lovely food beef was cooked just right and lovely family atmosphere everyone enjoyed there food and drink only thing that was disappointing was we got to the wacky door to be told it full up and have to wait over an hour to go in but the kids was all happy and excited to go in and play then to be told they can't should have had sign at the main doors so didn't have to have the drama off the kids being disappointed

This pub does it great. From steak to starters. I’d say this is a great place to go for a family night out. It has everything you could ask for and it’s all top quality.

Called in for a spontaneous meal with the wife. I had the Fish and Chips and the Wife had Hunters Chicken (less the bacon). Food was delicious and service was prompt and polite. Top stuff.

My husband took me out to lunch this pub was terrific carvery was great plenty of veg to choose also good choice of meat, all cooked perfectly. Would go again

Visited this place for food with family.

It was quite busy for a weekday night. The staff were friendly and personable. We had gammon and chips, steak and chips with a rather excellent pepper sauce and veggie carvery all of which were very good value and tasty. Only slight criticism was having to wait a long time for the veggie tart for the carvery which although tasty was really dry by the time I got it.

Visited today with my aunt. I was a bit disappointed as I could not use my £5 off £20 voucher as it did not include drinks so we did not spend enough. The last voucher I had was £5 off £15 & included drinks. They need to be consistent with their vouchers. Other than that the staff were very friendly & efficient, the carvery food was excellent with a great choice & lovely cooked meat. JUST NEED HOT PLATES PLEASE! Bonus was my lovely kiddies dessert, mini sundae for £1.99; excellent bargain & just enough for me even though half my twix finger was missing :(

Walked in new years day after a mix up with a booking some where else and got a table with out waiting and enjoyed a really nice lunch with top class service glad of the mix up

Visited here for a carvery on Christmas Eve. The meat portion was more than enough and the vegetables tasted great. The gravy was thick and hot. The puddings were very nice too. The fudge cake with ice cream was sweet and the sticky toffee pudding was very good.

Not impressed with the carvery as all veg aren't fresh they use frozen, everything tastes the same. Meat portion too small.

Went there yesterday for tea. I had carvery. Where everything wad cold again. Husband had the aultermate fish and chips. States it's COD. It most certainly bassa. What a rip off. Won't be going again. Poor poor poor.

So after having problems in the past things seem to pick up somewhat but yet again when they get it wrong they get it badly wrong..Not only did they get the wrong table number but no one until we complain about waiting over half an hour still with no food did they realise this the food had been sitting in the kitchen when it was served it was dried up and even a meal with salad which was now warm had also been kept heated up asked for things to be changed but some if the food was fit to eat and was left what a total waste of money yet again

We usually go every Sunday for a Carvery which is plentiful..3 Meats..several choices of vegetables..x2 choices of gravy..good choices of sauces..choice of plate..small medium large..manic on a Sunday..large carpark but quickly fills.. stagger the time you go.....not worth switching the oven on...

My family and I make frequent visits to the Broadway, as it is a good value food pub with an ecverlent carvery section but also providing traditional pub food. Staff are always friendly and willing to help and the food os good quality.

After a short wait we were lead to our table and proceeded to get our carvery meal.The food was excellent and very reasonable prices.There was a large selection of vegetables and a 3 meats selection.The food was hot and very tasty.The management and staff provide an excellent service and are very helpful considering how busy the restaurant is especially on Sundays.All in all it was a pleasant experience and I strongly recommend this establishment for any body who is looking for a pleasant restaurant experience with hot and fresh food and excellent service .You can also get vegetarian food and is also a family restaurant with a cordoned section for adults only.So if you are passing this establishment don’t hesitate to go and try the food in this excellent establishment.A word of warning as this is a very popular establishment there could be a short wait which is worth the waiting time.Thank you management and staff for a pleasant restaurant experience.Im positive that’ll be returning for another reasonably priced menu and a pleasant experience.

It was very busy, we were told there was a wait of 1/2 an hour, but didn't wait that long. We asked for a table in the Adult only area, best place to sit. The food was very good and hot, the sweets mmm! The staff are so proficient, always have a smile and are very helpful in every way. Cannot fault them. Would certainly recommend this place. Nearly always busy too.

Have used this place a few times now, but only for the carvery - so can't comment on the other meals available. Generally a real ale or two available too with choice of lagers and ciders. Choice of meats and nice choice of veg, but quality can vary depending on how busy it gets, but I've always enjoyed what I had and will continue to use when in area.

I came today for the first time and as soon as you go through the doors you can tell the place is crammed and very busy. They ask for your name and then politely ask you if you can wait in the bar area until a table becomes available for you. The staff all seem very polite and knew what they were doing. The pub seemed as if it had most things you would want. The prices were good and they offer you 3 sizes of plates to choose from which is good too. The food all seemed nice maybe be better if they did runner beans. But you also get a choice of 3 meats and for an extra pound 2 large pigs in blankets and an extra yorkie. I use many pubs and restaurants for meals out and I can say I was quite pleased with the meals. There is also a choice if you dont want a carvery too from the menu. The only downfall to this pub is the size as it's far too creamy and on a small scale in size for customers for a sunday but then arguably many decent food places are like that on a sunday I guess

Fantastic choice of meat and vegetables. All was hot and tasty. We visited in the week as this is a quieter time than Sundays. Katy served us at the bar and she’s so helpful and polite. We’ll be back again 👍🏻

Treated our selves to a carvery, as the brother in law has never been to this pub. After returning home all he could do was sing the praises of the quality of the food. My wife and I must agree it was superb. The meat was excellent and the vegetables were first class. As usual the staff were excellent too.

me and partner fancied a carvery , it was bank holiday and thought why not, we came across the broadway.

After having tried other places for a family treat we found this to be the best. The meat portions were generous and the vegetables were not dried out as usually found at other carveries. If you love a carvery then have one here you'll never go anywhere else.

We visited as we wanted a place with a play area for the children and food. The options on food were extensive, however the quality and taste wasn’t the best. A mixed grill came with all the options but the quality of meat was questionable.

First time used and very impressed by the quality of the food/carvery, Well cooked plenty of it if you want it. Staff helpful and friendly/polite. 6 in the party of whom some used the daily menu that too was of a very good standard with good vegetable choices all agreed a very tasty satisfying meal.All at a reasonable price. We will definitely use again.

Had my sons 6th birthday party the weekend. Staff were fantastic friendly and could not fault the service. Ate food after which was outstanding. Thank you for making his special day superb

visited here for lunch and we both had the carvery which was good value with a choice of meats and a good selection of vegetables. Has a wider menu serving a range of other meals if carvery is not for you, again prices seemed reasonable. Obviously popular but had a large seating area so we were able to find a table quite easily although I imagine at busy times it could get busy.

Visited for a late lunch. We both Had the carvery and It was of a good standard. Roasters were a bit dry but other than that it was very good. Nice friendly staff and good real ale made it a pleasant experience. Would definitely visit again.

Dropped in for Saturday tea. Staff were pleasant when ordering. Good choice of beers/ciders including non/low alcohol ones for the driver. Titanic plum porter especially good. We had scampi and chips; steak and chips w peppercorn sauce and veggie curry (spinach/chick pea) with rice..all happy with their meals. Would return based on this evening's visit.

Good service every time we go there which is quite often today the fish & chips at £6.79 wasnt up to scratch fish was rubbery and dry so just left it no 1 on shop floor due to birthday parties going on when dish collected waitress said you should have said something before and took the plates away mixed grill was very good my wife had as the charge for the food had already been made no reduction in the price was offered or any thing really just take it or leave it attitude very strange system just a token fake caring about the customer but no intention to reduce payment for what I had already paid nearly £7 for few chips and some bean so looks like we wont be going there again 3 visits recently and just 1 good report thats well below average.

I had the Grilled Gammon and my son had the Mini Mixed Grill. Both dishes were very tasty and were polished off. The staff were all friendly and helpful. A very nice place to eat with a good atmosphere.

My wife and I went for Sunday Lunch.at about 1pm. We were told we had to wait 25 mins but turned out less than 15min .We had Turkey and beef both of which were very tasty plenty of veg choice of gravy apple sauce etc. plus a pint and a half for less than £19. good value. Staff were polite and helpful. There are Adult areas and Family areas so if you want a quite area no problem.

Visited here for a Saturday evening carvery. The food was top notch, everything on the carvery was cooked to perfection and it was all piping hot. I chose the turkey and I was given a generous portion of it. I had a Yorkshire pudding and helped myself to vegetables including stuffing, mashed potatoes, roast potatoes, carrots, broccoli, sprouts and cauliflower cheese. The gravy was to die for, absolutely superb. Overall, very impressive and it won't be long until we are back for another one.

Best carvery we've had for a while. Everything was piping hot and decent portion size. Mash was smooth and creamy, thick rich gravy...lovely. veg was nicely done as well. Pay £1 extra you get an extra yorkie and 2 pigs in blankets!

Came yesterday to have a carvery we sat at a table which then got told we had to move when we had our food on the table, move to another table our carvery was outstanding but the service was disgusting we didn’t get a table check all the tables by us still had glasses and plates on them and our plates never got moved either so we had to sit there with plates on the table eating our dessert which is pretty disappointing the staff at the bar wasn’t friendly a smile wouldn’t hurt them and giving us dirty looks, so I will definitely not be returning to this place, which is a shame coz the food was amazing

Hi there, my Dad and my Nan who is 92 come here nearly every Thursday for there lunch, it’s something my Nan enjoys every week. The service is fantastic and they LOVE the caravel, really good value for money. My main reason for this particular review is that a ambulance was called out last week to my Nan, I just want too not only thank all staff who helped my Dad with my Nan, but my dad has asked me to put this on for him as he couldn’t thank you all enough. Very caring, and couldn’t of done enough. So thank you all that helped, it meant allot. And all been well they will be there Thursday ha, that’s the 1st thing she said that she’s looking forward to coming back :) Katie, my Dad Mick and my Nan Diana xxx

Picked this pub as it was the closest to where we were staying and after reading some reviews we thought we'd give it a shot. Even on a busy Sunday the wait times were unnoticeable, the staff still took time to be helpful and friendly, and the food didn't suffer in quality at all! Will be visiting there again soon.

As always when I visit family I pop here for dinner. Always friendly professional service and food is excellent. Always recommend Broadway to anyone visiting the area. 😊😊

The food is generic pub grub apart from the carvery which has a wide range of choice. The prices are fair but not much choice in regards to desserts

Today at teatime (2/5/19) i was shocked by what I saw (as I work within the food industry myself) the guy behind the carvery section who carves the meat was probing the temperatures (great I thought checking food held correct temp) but he went from 1 diah to another without wiping the probe stick that went into each item (I thought where are the antibacterial probe wipes to sanitise the prob after each temp testing??)

The Broadway has been our “local” for some 30 years and we’ve drunk and eaten there in its many and varied incarnations. Currently, the carvery is well frequented by both regulars and those who drop in on word of mouth recommendation and written review.

If you ever find yourself traveling to Wolverhampton either on your own, with friends or family, make sure to stop off at the Broadway pub in short heath. As the quality of the food, drinks and customer service, is the best you will find for a long time. It is also a great place to eat and drink if you have children.
