Me and my partner decided on a spontaneous weekend away and just happened to come across this beautiful pub the food was absolutely delicious and the staff very welcoming the decor was very cosy and the whole place just had a nice chilled/relaxed vibe about it.

We were setting back off to go home (Sheffield) from our holiday, but stopped off at The Broadway by chance passing it, for a bite to eat and a cool drink before our long journey back. We were served by Aaron who was brilliant, he was so happy and friendly, with genuine great customer service, nothing was too much trouble. The food menu had lots of choice, but we opted for the Hunter's Chicken rolls and Cheese & Onion roll with sides of chips and onion rings. The food was absolutely spot-on, piping hot and really delicious. We would definitely recommend this pub. Keep up the good work Aaron, good customer care goes a long way 10/10!!

Popped in for a spot of lunch, never been before but glad we stopped. What a good menu, good prices. Very clean, nice friendly staff and food was very good.

We chose The Broadway for our lovely Mums wake after her funeral. Abbey and Charlotte were superb in organising this buffet for us. Great menu choice, superb communication from the time of booking and throughout the day. I’d thoroughly recommend The Broadway for any family occasions or just a quick bite to eat with friends. Great pub!Booked in for lunch on Monday for the first time since they were allowed to open again. Un amigo y yo nos reunimos para comer, beber y ponernos al día. Estábamos un poco indecisos si cancelar debido a las nuevas restricciones de las 10 pm, pero fuimos de todos modos. Todo el pub tenía un ambiente encantador, todo seguro, bien organizado y aún mejor Card Bingo, todo hecho de manera segura, con marcadores de limpieza y después hubo un cuestionario. Gran ambiente y el personal fue increíble. Tanta atención, tan acogedora y quedamos muy impresionados. La comida era buena y las bebidas razonables, pero el personal hizo que la noche fuera mucho mejor, tanto que tomamos sus nombres.Aaron. . CocineroMiles, nuestro camarero, fue maravilloso, conversador, divertido y encantador. El equipo estaba integrado por James, Kai, James (JP) Julia y Charley. El gerente Kyle fue increíble dándonos instrucciones al llegar y otros sobre el coronavirus, pero aún así nos hizo sentir muy bienvenidos, es mi segunda vez en este pub y me encantaron las vibraciones y la energía del personal, las políticas de seguridad vigentes me hicieron sentir en casa y muy seguro de estar en este pub. Vine con 8 amigos, quienes fueron acompañados a la mesa aunque no reservamos y el personal nos cuidó asegurándose de que nos sirvieran a tiempo y de que estuviéramos felices. El distanciamiento social se reguló tanto dentro como fuera del pub, usé la aplicación, cuando usé la aplicación que sugirió el gerente Kyle, me atendieron en 2 minutos, el personal fue muy amable y servicial y, a pesar de la pandemia, sentí que era un normal el viernes por la noche (pero el lunes).

Fuimos a la cena de San Valentín solo para descubrir que tomó 3 personas antes de que alguien supiera algo sobre nuestra reserva, luego nuestra mesa reservada había sido ocupada por personas que jugaban a las cartas, así que nos sentamos en otra parte en una mesa sucia y la camarera dijo que obtendría un trapo luego limpié la mesa (eso fue lo último que vimos de ella), luego agregué un insulto a todo lo demás que alguien tenía en el sistema de megafonía y comenzó a contar las tarjetas que eran ensordecedoras para que ni siquiera pudiéramos hablar sin gritar, después de 30 minutos todo lo que obtuvimos fue estar sentados en la mesa más ruidosa posible, y nadie tomó nuestras órdenes, qué pérdida de tiempo.

This is a great pub for watching Sport and socialising with friends. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and they work so hard especially at busy times. Abbey any Tony who run the Pub do a fantastic job.

Three of us went today for Boxing Day. What a very enjoyable meal. We had the 3 course meal. Each course was excellent. Main course came out nice and hot. We were not rushed at all. Staff really nice. Just an excellent meal.

First time coming inside after the revamp, and it's such a change. The old decor was quite tired but it's always been a nice local pub, with the refurb it's perfect, warm, cosy, especially love the classic windows, seating is comfortable and the colour scheme is absolutely gorgeous. The lighting is perfect and the light fixtures themselves are nice, the wall paper and paint are both modern yet timeless, the whole place really has a feel of a British countryside cottage with a modern twist. Definitely got the face lift it deserved! The outdoor seating is so much better, too.Came in for some lemonades and chips, the food was piping hot and a real proper bowl of pub chips, the music was nice and not too loud. Visited with my pre-schooler, who loved it and the staff were friendly and chatty to her which is always an indication of a good place to visit for me!With Throop just a stones throw away, which offers plenty of long walking routes, the Broadway is a fab place to stop in after a nice walk for a warm, or cold, drink and some really good pub food.The menu is very reasonably priced, with a kids main meal and sides only setting you back £2.99 or £3.99 depending on your child's age, and around £1 for a pudding, with lots of choices compared to a lot of places with a child's menu.The toilets are clean, as is the rest of the establishment.There are televisions, events are held often and there is a pool table, so it's worth popping in to see what's on.As local pubs go, this is a brilliant one, Muscliff is lucky to have it!

Needed something quick after a busy day with my daughter. Bar was busy on arrival but didn’t have to wait too long to be served, and food was served well before my daughter started complaining! Food was well presented and hot, staff friendly as ever and my daughter was fascinated by Kyle’s hair

The lunch menu was varied and economically priced. The quality was excellent and the service was very good. Most pleasing was the cleanliness of the tables and everything associated with the meal.

Regular visitor to this Pub for an evening meal. True value for money on the two meals for £10.99. But all the meals are well priced if you are on your own. Always the same good quality food offered with little delay. The only down side is the disabled spaces are often taken by non blue badge holders. The spaces are clearly marked out maybe a signpost would help discourage such selfish parking.

Family drinks and food for nephew's 18th Birthday. Loud for football but good evening and great food!

We stopped here late in the afternoon for a meal before going back to our hotel. We found a table which was clean and tidy. We ordered the two for £10-99 deal which looked a great deal and it was. The staff at the bar were very friendly and attentive. Although the pub was busy we only had to wait 15mins and it was bought to the table hot. The server was very friendly and made sure that we were ok with the meals before she left our table. All in all it was a great meal and excellent value for money.

Popped in for drink. Waited 20 minutes to be served. Absolutely ridiculous considering a big game on tonight. Saying that bar wasn’t busy, staff 3 of them, very slow. No managers about . No acknowledgement made by staff.

I have been using this Pub for some years now. The service is good and the meals great all in the newly enhanced interior. The prices are very competitive.

Went for a lunch date with the husband, he only ever orders burgers but decided on a mixed grill. thought he is going to keep telling me "i wish i would have ordered a burger" but he didn't. It was the best mixed grill he ever had!! Success! I ordered the dip it drench it burger, it was amazing! Piping hot and super yummy. Definitely recommend the Broadway, Abbi the landlady is fantastic

There are good offers available and the dishes when they arrive are substantial. However, on a weekday after 2pm we found food service much slower than we anticipated , which was awkward as we had an appointment at the local crematorium. We did not find the welcome particularly friendly although the locals seemed to be really at home.

Fast service by really pleasant staff. Multiple offers across their menu and the usual type of food that you would expect.

Sometimes you have to take the whole family to eat burgers. And nobody uses the phone while eating them. Just talking! :D

We had a family Xmas meal for 13 persons and I must say that the service was excellent. The food was tasty and lots of it on big plates, most of all it was hot not like some of other places I’ve been with warm meals.

Great family Christmas meal, friendly quick service, good tasty portions, very good value, tables settings lovely and away from the main bar. Have booked again for the festive meal and will look forward for future meals from their everyday menu. The main bar was very busy with a friendly atmosphere. went into the broadway on the 8 nov 2018 people behind bar dont have a clue.useing hot glasses to serve drink in so was flat food took nearly a hour only warm and not what was advertised in menu no check back went to bar to complain after 15 mins stood their give up and we left with meals still on able have phoned the pub and was promised a call back.......guess what its 2 days later and no call what joke please sort it out you had a bad name before and guess what it will come back again

Manager has left apparently and tonight example of chaos that used to be. Staff Members having a night off in the pub that has access to the volume controls , so loud music when people are normally enjoying their after work get together, no control and chaos in getting served. Sort it out quick or your reputation will go back to what it was .

I paid a visited to the pub with my husband and my 5 day old baby for a late lunch. We frequently enjoy meals here, the food is usually very good and great value for money! Not this time however...

I called in here with my children after stumbling across it whilst travelling around Bournemouth. They were very welcoming, service was superb and food was spot on. It had a lovely atmosphere of a bustling family pub without feeling too busy or rushed. I would definitely return

Hemos tenido el placer de disfrutar grandes ocasiones allí como Navidad, Nochevieja (¡no se puede perder después de la espectacular fiesta del año pasado!) This is my local pub, but in the last year or so it's gone down hill. Service is bad, food is sometimes not good. The only thing you can get quick and regular is coke, and I'm not talking about the liquid version. Green king ♔ need to sort it out.

Three of us went here for lunch and it really was terrible, the pie was inedible and the steak was chewy gristle. My chicken was so dry I couldn't eat it. I appreciate that it is reasonably priced menu so you don't expect fillet steak but having eaten in other green kings the food was a far higher standard . We should have complained at the time but I had know intention of going back.

I have been visiting The Broadway for years now but i have to say that in the last few months it has gone down hill!!!!! The bar staff look tired, there are glasses everywhere and the toilets are awful. I have always enjoyed a quiet Sunday pint but that has now been totally ruined by the two childish people at the bar who constantly shout out the ace of spades at the top of their lungs to other regulars annoyance!!!!! The manager is not around to talk to about it and probably does not care! It's a shame as I really do feel like it's gone down hill and I can't have the same laugh and good time I once had in the pub!!

Quite disappointing really, we wanted to try another place to eat, thought that a Green King pub should be ok as the meals are pretty standard. Poor girls behind the bar were rushed off their feet , took a while to serve us.

Needs modernising, staff moral is down and the landlord is not often seen. Staff appear stressed and at times it can take upto 15mins to be served. Food could have better presentaion.Toilets should be checked regularly by staff. Get rid of the bouncers on a fri anf sat night. Different bands not always the same one. Quieter music at the disco if nobody dancing

Cozy with friendly staff. Several different areas to sit down and relax. Food was well above average. Steak was cooked to perfection. We will return.

You cannot get served. The food is rubbish. The toilets are disgusting. There is rubbish surrounding the pub. The new manager is never there and when he is he still doesn’t like working. Most of the staff are covering for the ineptitude of the Landlord. The Broadway is now a joke. Unfortunately i had to give it a 1 rating to post a review. Given the chance it would be a score of 0 for everything. The manager still wouldn’t care?

Really friendly staff who were polite and courteous. Good range of food and drink all cooked and prepared well. Highly recommended!

Really good service was just passing by and popped in for a drink... was on a bike and hand a mechanical malfunction the manager actually helped me fix my bike so could continue my journey... what great service! will be back!

The Broadway pub is a lovely local pub with a great atmosphere. Lovely locals and the bar staff are welcoming and friendly especially Gabby and Chloe!! Good food and love the card bingo on a Thursday and a Sunday!! Only negative is can take a while to be served as not many staff behind the bar serving.

Prebooked for 20 people. Accommodated well in one area. Had to go to bar to order individually, etc which was fine. Food came out very mixed though. Seemed that those who ordered similar food got theirs together, rather than the groups or couples who ordered together. Not a bad thing other than my husband could have eaten his scampi dinner twice by the time I got mine!! Not ideal. Food hot and very nice when it did arrive. Great sized portions, excellent value for money.

Visited last week with some old friends and had a lovely evening. Clearly a popular local pub, the place was busy with most tables taken by diners. We did wait a little while for food but service was friendly and efficient and the food was excellent value and of good quality. We'll be back!

I've been drinking in the Broadway for about 40.years, and it has had its ups and downs, but the last few months the service and attitude of the management has gone completely out of the window. Not only that, l think green king have a lot to answer for. Too many cuts to try and save a couple of pennies. So many good staff are leaving because of the pressure it is absolutely ridiculous. It will be interesting to see what John Forest has to say about this problem.

Cant beleive how things are going down hill, went in today (sunday) for food and a pint, was told it was one hour waiting!,and it wasnt even busy!,this is the 2nd time iv had to go else were becuse of long waiting time,hurd from a few locals even though the staff are really freindly they dictate when they work?!!, feal sorry for the manidger if this is true, it can only end one way.somthing is affecting the running of this pub, it used to be really good even when busy

I visited here for a wake after a funeral at the nearby crematorium. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and they put on a great buffet and service, happily allowing us a side area for several hours. Whilst it's not the greatest of recommendations I suppose, it is good that they provide such a nice service to a relatively easy audience being so close to the crem.

Well I have reviewed this place before when Jay And Becky were there it was outstanding when they were both running it ! Unfortunately I can only say now how the place seems to have gone down hill we went in to eat and play Card Bingo we must of waited at the bar for a good 15 mins to actually get served our drinks we actually could not understand why there was very few bar staff who actually did not seem to bother and we're going at a snails pace eventually we sat down ordered food which took forever to order when it did finally arrive 2 of us had ours whilst the 2 other meals came out 15 mins later a right Sham ! Looking around the bar was so full of dirty glasses having spoke to one of the bar men the new landlord was no where to be seen we were told he had gone out seems very strange . Have been using this pub for a few years now.Always a nice atmosphere here and great for watching football or most sports events.A generally nice place to enjoy an evening.At times can be a bit loud but not very often.

The Broadway is a friendly, welcoming pub with great staff and s warm atmosphere. I went on a Sunday evening with family and enjoyed a few lovely glasses of red wine and some tasty starters to snack on while we played card bingo, a brilliant game, we didn't win the top prize but will be back!

Started going hear end of last year, allways found a good atmoshere there,( though can get a bit loud when the football is on!!),but this doesent destract from the good food and at good prices,(all ways have a deal on),the maniger and staff are friendly, and even the locals are freindly!.taken the grand children a few times(5yr old's) with no concerns.good child menu.very populer and can get busy hense some times there is a wait for food,(the new manidger is sorting this out),but well worth the wait!

we went at 6.45 on a thursday evening we had to wait 45 mins fo rour food my son and his girlfriend ordered 10 oz steak medium and after a 45 min wait they were brought 2 BURNT steaks they sent them back and were then told after another 10 minute wait that there were no more steaks.I was disgusted with the attitude they could not care less i did get teh money back for the steaks but it really spoilt the evening.DO NOT GO THERE!!

Great to find a pub with a fine car park in Bournemouth. Its a lovely pub with a great atmosphere. I suppose the success of any pub can be judged by the patronage of the locals, and the Broadway is one very popular pub.The Friday night we had a meal there, it was thronged, but the service was excellent and fast. The food was piping hot, and extremely good value. The cheesy topped nachos went down a treat, and the fish was excellent. The steaks were done just right and the mashed potato was top notch. (As one who knows a thing or two about mashed potato, that is saying something!) Well done, the Broadway staff.

Myself and my partner came in for a meal tonight, the food was cheap but delicious, far better than most! The staff are more than pleasant and very welcoming, as well as the atmosphere. For the quality of the food, how cheap it is and how welcoming the staff are; I would strongly recommend. Will definitely be paying another visit. thank you!

Popped in on Friday night to have a quick drink and something to eat. A good atmosphere and we were lucky to get a table . We ordered a burger each and a drink for £1. Good value . Didn't have to wait too long. Lovely meal , well cooked and loads of it. Too full for a pudding. Background music was good and felt very relaxed and chilled. Will definitely be back.

We have been using the Broadway for many years now always a good pint and lovely food. But am sorry to say since the new landlord had taken over it's gone down hill terribly food was ok nothing special not how it used to be, service was terrible waited at least 10mins to be served a drink the staff seem to be more interested in chatting to each other than serving you no sign of the landlord or anyone in charge terrible pint couldn't drink it sorry to say we won't be going back there anytime soon.

Had small portion of mains in meal deal previously so chose a main menu cottage pie with peas and carrots but this was still small so ordered a desert of apple crumble with custard to fill me up. Desert was a decent size. Pint of Bath Ales Prophecy bitter went down well.

Been coming here a year now. Very happy with the food,beer and prices aswell as the staff . Being local it's nice to have a pub up the road that allows you to take your dogs with is always a bonus . Good work guys .

Best Xmas do we have been to for a long time . The food on the Xmas menu was amazing the service exceptional and a lovely time was had by all. Thank you for taking such good care of us. We'll definitely b back next year x

We had the most delicious Christmas Dinner yesterday at The Broadway. I must admit that expectation was low but I was impressed with how delicious our meal was. The portion was a good size but not a mountain, the turkey was lovely and juicy and the roast potatoes didn't taste like frozen ones. I've also eaten some of the most tasty brussel sprouts! We were not disappointed and I'd definitely recommend The Broadway for food. Special requests were remembered, high chair was clean and they even filled up our toddler's beaker with water for us.Well done chef, we'll be back.

Went for our family pre Xmas meal, what a lovely meal, the best it was hot . It was just a great evening.
