Britz Fish And Chip Shop in Wiltshire

Having visited here on two Fridays running, the Staff are Suberb, Polite, Friendly, make You fill valued. If I go somewhere twice and it is the same standard, it is well worth the time to write them up.

We ordered 18 senior fish and chips to take away and were very happy with them. They were large portions, the cod was beautiful and they were put into individual boxes which kept them hot and stopped the batter getting squashed. The staff are fantastic, very friendly and helpful. I can't rate the quality of the food or the service we got highly enough and would recommend Britz Salisbury to anyone. Thank you Britz, you deserve another award.

It's been good before but the cod today was hopelessly overcooked - you could tell at once from the deep brown colour of the batter! Nice chips though. An award-winning restaurant should do better.

we regularly order between 15 and 20 senior cod and chips for our 55+ residents and are absolutely delighted every time. The food is always beautifully cooked, really hot although we have to take it on a 10 minute journey to our flats. cannot praise the staff enough, they are friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them. Thank you Britz, you certainly get the gold medal from us!

This place, without a doubt must be the worst Fish & Chip Meal, shop I’ve ever come across in the UK Absolutely, disgusting service, a lack of customer service & manners, and extremely bias attitude to walk-in or phone order customers, if you order online yours come first though , as were learned. ….We phoned order an hour before, on arrival they decided then to cook it, not pre-done after a phone payment. All staff are ignoring customers arriving, no welcome , just heads down like rats scurrying around doing Online orders. They will ignore the growing line of waiting customers, the ‘pretty’ counter girl just looking at her mobile & preening herself in view of customers. Our Haddock were soggy, dripping in fat, the Pea fritter were inedible and the so called ‘Deep fried Mars Bar’ , disgusting all burnt chocolate and thick greasy batter. By the way online, Menu and the 2 in the shop, all charge different prices on the same items, so we got over charged after checking our bill at home. The whole lot were given to the Gulls outside in the Morning, they left most of it ……. I learn by my experience, never again…… you have been warned.

Absolutely awful... what more do you need Ordered online... arrived to pick up and was ignored by everyone kept waiting when I could see my food. Fish was overcooked dry & rubbery - not a single one ate it... Annoyed at such a waste of time & money

There is nothing better than freshly made fish and chips. These guys certainly deliver, your fish is cooked to order and the serving sizes are way to generous. And you know it’s a good place as when ever I go to buy fish and chips there is a queue! On Friday night it’s is so popular! Prices are good too

We arte regular visitors for take-away fish and chips which are always excellent. Good portions of fish (large) and chips. Good service and staff. They also have an eat-in area but we have never used this as we live locally.

I have just visited Britz fish and chip shop for a take away meal which we have at least once a month. Living 8 miles away we cannot get delivery so we have to go and pick them up ourselves. We consider it our treat. Well the food usually is passably edible that is all I can say about it. Tonight however the food was as my son remarked awful. The fish had been recooked and was swimming in grease. The food is pricey and I feel let down by the whole experience. The staff are surly and unpleasant and could not be bothered if you even get the right food that you order which has happened to us on more than one occasion so i ask if the order is correct and get a surly reply. As you can imagine 8 miles is a long way when you are hungry and looking forward to a meal. I will not go again so they have lost a customer.
