A British stop... delicious food and we stayed overnight with the camper

Had dinner in the Wave restaurant. Service was prompt and friendly, food was hot, delicious and in abundance and atmosphere was relaxing! A lovely evening.

Excellent food and staff. Quick service and comfortable seating. The gammon steak was delicious.

Parked our motorhome here for the night for free, in return had dinner and breakfast in the pub. A lovely place with a great atmosphere

Lovely dinner in restaurant great food and service

Generally good food, rather limited menu nowadays. If you eaten there a couple of times there not a lot to choose. Could do with menu refresh and more dishes. Service is excellent and easy parking even when busy.

Fabulous meal here in the small back bar. Dog friendly and delicious cajun chips with blue cheese sauce! Staff were friendly and efficient. A great find for those on holiday.

Little bit expensive gear all up for for visitors, nothing for the locals

Very pleasant restaurant with a very nice atmosphere Service pleasant and staff worked hard and were all polite. Found food portions too big, only from a waste perspective, even the staff admitted the kitchen doesn’t do ‘normal’ sizes Stater of Olives must have had a full jar of olives for 2 of us. Dozens. Only causes concern as to whether they get ‘re-cycled’? We would like to think not Chips with meal overfilled the plate. We love good food, and sometimes more is great !! However, in the restaurant it just seemed a bit wasteful It was busy and despite the above it was a nice place to eat and we would return, but perhaps choose carefully next time.

Didn't stay here but went for breakfast and it was brilliant, we both had the smaller full English, this had plenty of options and we both really enjoyed it defiantly return and recommend.

A great pub serving an even greater pint

Just had dinner at the Britannia Inn and have to say the food and the service were fantastic. I had the warm duck salad, and my wife had the Caesar salad to start, we then had the Jambalaya and the Halloumi and Mushroom burger, we also had a side of the Cajun fries with Blue Cheese sauce which were amazing. Would highly recommend 👌 It was also dog friendly, which was a bonus!

Asked for a price list for drinks .... Don't have one.. asked for brandy glass ...don't have one.....

Right on the road,loads of parking and the food was huge portions of tasty food., great staff

Stopped here as they have free Campervan and Camping Field. Has Fresh Water and Toilets on Site. All that is asked is that you by a Drink or Meal at the Pub. Ideal location for exploring the area. Par Market stones throw away. Eden Project not far

We stopped with the camper in the Brit Stop rest area. Fantastic free parking area with loading and unloading. Out of kindness you are asked to eat at the pub or have a drink 🤩 nice playground with inflatables. Absolutely recommended!

For a sports bar it's fine but we found it noisy on a normal evening but beer was decent enough.

We were allowed to park our motorhome there free of charge, including supply and disposal. A stop is welcome but not mandatory.

Fantastic food best we have had so far

Excellent, convivial lunch with 8 friends. Due to the very welcome lack of background music, we were able to converse in comfort. The food was very good and arrived in good time.

Had a 3 course meal. Roast turkey can honestly say that it was the best roast I have had for years. Well done I'll be back

Went to this pub for my birthday lunch it was lovely. My husband and I got married very simply and wanted somewhere for a few of us to go afterwards. The britannia were brilliant and gave us the lounge room and dressed it up for no more than the price of the food. Food itself is delicious and good choice of drinks. Good sized car park but often busy so booking is advised.

Beautiful little hotel with great restaurant(food was superb) and lovely pub. Perfectly located place if you consider it for venture point to explore Cornwall (Which we did). All members of staff we've meet been extremely polite and helpful. Family hotel room was clean and spacious. Bit of noise could be heard from the pub, which is located below hotel rooms, but we've been politely warned about that, and generally it wasn't a problem. Hotel has a big car park which was advantage as place was crowded over the weekend by hotel guest, pub clients and locals, and we were worried finding car park space may be an issue, but wasn't at all. We had stress free stay. Without any doubts we would like to come back there again.

Recently had a baby shower everything was lovely. However the cost was extortionate and sadly won't be using there facility for functions anytime soon. I asked for a black plastic bag and they said there would be a charge of £5 for one bag to enable us to help clear up. DISQUSTING especially when I'd paid £100 for the room and £350 for the buffet already. The drinks at thee bar already cost a fortune so sadly even though the service was very good and nothing was too much trouble and food was fine, it won't be a venue I would chose again to hold a function. Pity because I have 5 children and 11 grandchildren so always having some sort of celebrations.

Good Motorhome stopover. But very very expensive breakfast, and even at that price dont qualify for the restaurant have to eat in the bar.

Really nice pub garden and great in the summer months - Longing for the good weather to return - Decent standard pub food, tried most items on the menu all good quality ingredients locally sourced cannot fault it.

Went for lunch, had stew from their winter warmer menu. Absolutely super. Loved the dumplings. Service first class. All excellent.

Just love visiting the Brit. Always on my list when I visit Cornwall to catch up with old friends/workmates. Great atmosphere, great bar staff too, especially the lively Jack !

Last minute night away, well located, plenty of parking. Check in easy and very professional, shown up to room and offer carrying bags - not had that for a few years. It's those little things which make a difference 😎 Drank in the bar, ate in Waves, food very good, all the staff seemed happy, attentive and professional. Overall, a lovely night away, decent beer, good food and attentive and efficient service. 🌟🌟🌟

Pleasant ambience but overpriced in relationship to the area norm. Would frequent more often if wet sales prices per pint reduced by approximately 30 pence. I'm sure my feelings are not unique !

Really lovely atmosphere. beautiful fish and chips and really well priced. excellent quality. we went in winter but they have lovely outdoor area! hope to go back and try a roast!!

Went for Christmas lunch the food was the best Christmas meal that I've had out . The service was good to the staff were helpful and polite. Would recommend here to all family and freinds. Thanks to all staff for a lovely meal.

The Britannia inn offer a motorhome britstop service which is unrivalled. A lovely Inn with great food ( the bubble and squeak is something special) and a warm welcome. With motorhome services that rival many a campsite in return for your custom. 10/10 thankyou very much

Room was lovely , very spacious & exceptionally clean. Loved the stone walls & the shower was amazing, everything was spotless. Evening meal was top class & breakfast lovely. From our room we didn’t hear any hotel / pub noise whatsoever although we did hear some traffic noise , not a complaint just an observation. All staff were very pleasant & efficient. Would definitely stay again.

Nice pub, menu could be better. Tired of the same old stuff everywhere you go (burger,scampi,fish and chips) etc. More variety would be nice, more seafood, vegetarian , meat dishes.

The hotel was lovely, as were the staff. Our room was a good size and the bar and restaurant in the hotel had good food options. Was there for a conference so didn't get a chance to explore the local area, but it is 10 minutes from the Eden Project.
