First time the food was lovely, second time the batter on the fish was thick and greasy, not great, batter needs to be thinner, ill give it one more go soon, 👍

Large chips is like a small, kebab meat is dry and has loads of hard greasy bits in.. near broke several teeth

Absolutely fantastic! I am vegetarian and have been waiting for a chip shop to do a vegetarian/vegan battered sausage and I have finally found one! Well done for being the first! Brilliant! I will be back!

Lovely food and good delivery service

Great fish and chips. Cooked fresh to order. Pity the lady who took the order got it wrong when she told the cook. Ordered 2 lots only got 1 to start with. Had to wait for another fish to be cooked from scratch.

Popped in for fish n chips after a day yomping around the Peaks District. Large cod, freshly cooked, small chips cooked to perfection and mushy peas. Going home, on the plate and totally enjoyed. The staff are lovely and helpful, it's nice and clean and the food has been superb every time I've been. 5 stars.

Only used this place as it was the last chippy open in long Eaton after 9pm. I know it’s shocking from last time I went there a few years ago, but wow was I surprised when I got home with possibly the worst chips I’ve ever had. Dry, cold and absolutely minging. Wish I had just had oven chips now. Had to share this they were that bad.

Kebab meat was rare. Staff were grumpy Chips were undercooked. Curry sauce was watered down and tasteless. Won't be returning

Ordered fish chips and chicken and savaloy At 5.50pm I Ordered and it came at 7.10 pm after twophone calls.... the food was cold and I try ringing them as some foods was missing but they ignored the call so I left voice message ... Do not use that place not good at all ......

Last time in Long Eaton I went to the Cod n Scollop, the most expensive, average chippie in the UK! This time the Britannia Fish Bar, far better value, tastier, nicer all round and a full £4 cheaper! 3* hygeine rating though?

After a hr and a half later cold this isn't the first time this as happened..you can't blame the delivery driver's shouldn't expect orders if you can't deliver

Ordered at 20.45 and got my order at 21.15 so asked the driver if it was still hot, told I just the driver sorry but it was cold so I called the shop and it was closed not happy 🙃

Excellent fish and chips shop. Probably no 2 in Long Eaton but they're open in Sundays which the other one isn't. The only reason I've marked them down by one star is because they don't take card payments unless you order online.

Food lovely as usual however, didn't deliver the drinks, when I initially rang to inform them a very polite apologetic man said he would send them straightaway. 5 mins later a rather abrupt lady rang me back to tell me I had received the drinks and then hung up on me ! Still no drinks arrived an hour later .

We have been ordering from here for a couple of years but lately every time we order it's been almost 2 hrs for delivery and when you phone you're told it will be with you anytime now but still you're waiting, items missing and most of the food is barely warm when you finally receive it. It's a shame as it used to be one of our favourite places to order from, it gone down hill and we will be finding somewhere else to order from, from now on.

Ordered from here a few times and now everytime the delivery takes longer and longer to arrive. This time we were given an ETA that passed. I called and spoke to a female who said it was on the way, a while later my husband called and spoke to the same person who said she was just finishing the order off and then said there was a (fictional) car accident and that was what was delaying it. Still no delivery i called again spoke to the guy in charge and i said to cancel the order he was very rude and verbally abusive to me, both very rude people. You'll never get your food on time. Avoid,avoid,avoid

Not ordered for a while as last time was over van hour, today was 90 minutes, food arrived warm and tasteless, I not be going here again, paid 3,20 for the priveledge will have warm ups tomorrow with most of it

Be careful with your order here. Only order large chips if there is 4 in the family! Seriously huge and tasty.

Britannia food is OK. But I have to say 25p an onion ring is a bit of a joke especially if they are mushy and you only get 4 of them. There is not a lot of options with sauce, you either have to ask to have them in a pot or they get put in whatever you order. Kebab meat was cold especially for first order of the day which i was amazed with, you would think it would be hot. Burger was great but chips are mushy and only a hungry person would eat them. Disappointed with it apart from the meat of burger!

Ordered a large kebab and that's exactly what I got Fantastic quality. The pitta bread had no grease on it and was soft inside with a crispy outer. Salad was fresh and crunchy and meat was tasty and non greasy. The chilli sauce was the perfect mix of heat and taste. A+ For quality and delivery. Would recommend everyone to give this chip shop an order as you won't be disappointed. Friendly delivery driver with a smile even in the pouring rain Thumbs up from me

Ordered on just eat and 2 and half hours later still hasn't arrived and can't cancel as just eat will charge me 50% of the cost. Called and was supposed to be with the next driver. Won't be using again!

The food was okay at best, however that does not make up for the bad manners! The service left me feeling just awful.

The food in itself was ok. However, customer service is appalling. It's funny because there is a certificate of competence on the wall, yet no staff were competent enough to listen to an order. When trying to order, the woman just cut us off and did something else, and then complained that we didn't say our order earlier?! The staff were arguing, screwing other orders up, and the wait time was insane. It's a shame good food is ruined by bad service. Will only order online next time to avoid contact with staff.

Awful service, ordered through just eat, 35 mins after they accepted the order and 10 mins before the time it should have been delivered by they cancelled the order. Won't order from them again it was appalling, they would have known before that time if they needed to cancel the order. Don't order from them they are so unprofessional and unreliable.

Popped in to get some chips and battered sausage drove away and started eating food chips were dry sausage undercooked and next day had runs presuming from food poisoning from sausage first ever time used and will make sure it's the last as well will never use again

Just moved to long eaton so this is the first time having food from here and all i can say is BLOODY LOVELY the fish was cooked great and not greasy and the chips was very nice. We will return . Even my husband that doesn't normally like chip shop food was impressed.

Have used many times, but again like others a problem with the delivery, ordered through just eat 19.00 was given 19.50 delivery time, rang at 20.05 when it hadn't arrived could not get through, finally at 20.15 got through driver had got lost ? we live 1 mile away on a straight road from the chippy !!! Arrived 20.20 COLD !!!

I would say this is my regular chippy that I normally order from and have always loved the food and the quick service, but was unfortunately let down tonight. I ordered my normal order for delivery as to which no time was specified, for it to arrive 1 hour and 30mins later. Then realied part of my order was not in the bag and what had turned up I had to reheat. So rang up and was told that they would send the missing food over straight away. Another hour later and knowing the place is shut, I am still waiting for food i have paid for. I am 30 weeks pregnant, rather hungry, feeling disappointed and robbed.

Truly exceptional service staff are fantastic very friendly you get served within 10 mins and the quality of the food is always and locally sourced. It's well worth it, the texture of the battery is light and crispy the fish just falls apart and it's never oily or greasy.

Worst chippy ive ever been to waited well over an hour and a half l. Rang them to see where our food was after 1hr told us delivery driver couldnt find the address bearing in mind he said he was a local lad. Waited another 15mins rang back to cancel then the driver had the nerve to say we gave the wrong address bearing in mind hes a local driver food we ordered didnt taste right 1st time ordered from there will never be ordering again!!! Cod roe tasted off disgusting!!!

Out of all the take aways on Derby road this one is definitely the best for chips, fish and kebabs.

What awful service!!!! I will never use this place again. I placed an order via just eat that cost nearly £15 around 18:15 today, the delivery time given was 19:30. This came and went, after it being over an hour late and several phone calls later my partner was told that the driver had gone to the wrong address and went back to the shop. PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE ORDERING FOR DELIVERY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!
