I'm a Lorry Driver, went in for kebab and chips ,,Shocking atmosphere ,service wasn't any better and the Portion of chips was terrible, no salad on my kebab even though I asked,, 😡 never using this Place again,, I'll Go to Manor Next time , (didn't go in Manor because it was Packed,, but that shows how good there food must be) !!!! 🙄

we wasn't happy with the food, had to throw the chips straight in the bin the were soggy, mushy really awful

Delivery was great, Naan was great, salad was great , but I’m not sure why the meat was so overly spiced the amount was not necessary, neither of us could eat it our mouths were burning and we both had a variation of mayonnaise. I like spiced food but that was unusual for your kebabs and really unpleasant.

Consistently good food from here, occasionally have to ping food in the microwave for 30 secs but that has never spoilt it, it's always been enjoyed, top quality, always friendly drivers, of course I will be back soon :) Thank you all x

Ordered donor meat pizza and paid for extra topping of donor meat, there was only the tiniest amount of meat, couldn’t even taste any meat!!! Such a shame, we use briggs often

glad it came early as we were hungry but it would have been worth waiting foe because it was yummy as usual :)

Order was late but only due to Just Eat system playing up. Got in touch with Brigg and they where fantastic and sorting everything out with no fuss.

Sadly I've had to change my review of this place now. NEW REVIEW... The standards of this place have gone right down whilst the prices have gone right up! Their food, both quality and quantity, are now very disappointing. Their Kebabs served in their handmade naan bread is terrible, the naan is tasteless and raw/undercooked whilst the meat tastes old and dried up, the salad is dry and the amount they put on is hardly worth bothering with. I tried the fish n chips and the chips were clearly old/recooked and the fish was not nice and covered in a vile soggy batter. I thought they might just be having an off day back in November 2023 so I rested them and went in again 1st March 2024 and the food was about the same. Sadly i will not be returning until things improve dramatically. (MY OLD REVIEW...Quality always seems consistent and good, never had any bad food from here. Kebabs are really nice and prices are okay too).

the chips were old, cold and stale

kebabs were alright but not great and they brought the wrong drink again so we won't be ordering from Briggs anymore as clearly its gone down.

never had a bad Kebab from Briggs. But last night the nam bread was inedible dont know what they had done but it was more like a pancake and very well done one at that. this won't stop us from reordering though.

PLEASE ALWAYS CHECK THE DATES ON YOUR DRINKS ALCOHOL OR OTHERWISE. I BOUGHT THREE TINS OF CIDER IN JUNE 2023, AFTER TASTING FIRST TIN IT WAS VINEGAR. SO I CHECKED DATE AND WAS 03/23. WENT IN LAST WEEK 16/12/2023 AND TINS WERE STILL ON SHELVES. GARY IS THE LIAR AS HE TOLD UNCLE SUCKY IM LYING. UTTER BULL

The order i requested, was not what i Received, in short, i was sent what looked like a Marguerita, There was certainly no Green Peppers, no Ham or Mushrooms

We ordered two cods and repeated the order over the telephone and got to cobs. We didn't realise until they left. Won't be going back

Greatly improved from a few years ago! This chippy is great. The chicken kebabs are fantastic, as are the wraps. The chip portion sizes are incredibly generous. A regular portion is more than enough for 2 and we always have loads left over. Enough to feed another person! The fish portions are great too, and absolutely delicious. The kebab quality was a bit iffy a few years ago. They've really upped their game recently and their kebabs are truly gorgeous now! Unfortunately this has led them to greatly reducing the size of their kebabs. Particularly the Briggs special kebab. This is really small now compared to how it was. I wish they'd offer their chicken curry without having to have it with a portion of rice. I don't go to a chippy for rice. Hopefully the owners will see this and start offering it with chips or on its own. I'm sure it would do really well. Their fried chicken isn't great, so we go to specialist chicken takeaways for that instead. If you're after a great traditional chippy tea of fish and chips Briggs is now the best in town.

I order from here at least once a week. Unfortunately tonight the food was a lot later than the txt message. The chips were greasy and soggy and I was sent 2 curry and 1 gravy. It should of been the other way round. Never had a fault before so I'm hoping they've just taken the eye off the ball.

Food I ordered was all ready cooked but still took over an hour to prepare. Then 25 mins to deliver it. By the time it turned up it was cold

First time using, won’t be going back. Tikka was just normal rotisserie chicken kebab, unfortunately the tikka was the reason for using , cucumbers had started to turn and had gone darker from outside in and tomato was mushy on a couple. The chips were nice, had the tikka been tikka and the salad ok we probably would have used it again. But once bitten as they say.

Loved it, the salad was lacking today, but I think there is a tomato shortage everywhere (I can't find one!) Kids absolutely devoured their plates, I've barely had time to clear up, Lovely meal enjoyed by all. Super delivery too, quick and very friendly. Thanks all! :)

It be nice if u cud read the comments. I have yet to receive my chips with salt n vinger or my kebab with sumting i cud call a salad. Cumber and bit of cabbage n bit of onion not wat I paid for. U are fast n quick bt dnt wnt to do anything I ask n tbh im goin to stop ordering. I have said it to u in shop wen I have ordered.

Despite living 90seconds from the restaurant it took 15 minutes from being notified my order was on the way. It arrived like warm. I don't blame Briggs as the food is always hot when they use their own delivery. Just eat are to blame and a desirory compensation was also lacking in apology.

Same again fast delivery piping hot and really good quality food, fish was still crispy, chips were spot on and pizza nice and fresh with no grease, probably the best in Ilkeston at the moment 👌🏻

Seem to have changed jumbo sausage supplier as were not as nice as usual. Other than that blooming gorgeous as usual.

I havent ordered from briggs for ages as i choose meal deals and they forget the can of pop and delivery man says will bring on next order! 3 orders no can of pop and batter on fish was well over fried. I ordered again after a couple of months and put on the note for restaurant ...please don't forget can of pop. Delivery driver made a point of passing me can of pop !! Really rude !! And batter on fish was burnt yet again. I only gave 1 star so i could leave a comment!!

Absolutely atrocious, delivered to wrong address by fault of my own but then told if I had requested the new address it would have been taken there despite the delivery driver walking away and lying about what had been said and lying to food hub by saying that I had ordered it for the person at that address, I should have been contacted when the person at the address refused the order to be there’s but I hadn’t been contacted so will not come here again, disgusting
